our little one has been attending Children s Lighthouse since January. We have absolutely loved every minute of it. There s never a time we pick him up or drop him off that he isn t smiling ear to ear. We have felt comfortable with all the teachers he has had and we love that we are able to check in on him throughout the day with access to their cameras. We re so appreciative of this team!

They have camera that you can watch your kid with. Friendly staff! If I have a problem it s resolved they also have a nice park and splash pad for the kiddos!! My kids diapers stay changed! They have summer fee that I did not want to pay because I have 3 kids that I had to pay an additional 100 dollars for. I m still salty about that lol but other than that it s a nice daycare!

UPDATE: My son has now been at a new daycare for about three weeks and they have not called me one time. Im able to see video footage if he were to act out or a incident occurs. He has not been sent home one time. He loves his teachers and his classmates. Its just proof that this daycare is poorly ran. They dont even deserve the one star. My son has went there for three whole weeks. He was supposed to be there 8:00 am to 3:00 pm. Out of those three weeks he has only stayed there one day the times I have needed him to stay. I am a single mother and cannot leave work every day early to pick my son up because they cannot watch them. Everytime they have called me with some absurd excuse and usually the same one every time. They say he throws chairs and hit kids and his behavior is out of control and they cannot keep him. The first time I actually thought my son had done it and he got into trouble for it once he got home. After the third time I knew something was wrong. Today I called because I could not see my son because they have moved him into another room and I wanted to be able to see him on camera, not even ten minutes later they called me saying he was throwing chairs and hitting other kids to come and pick him up. I asked proof of the footage and was told no they could not give me it. I told them I was pulling him from this school and I will never say a good word about this place. Another incident he got super sick from a infection because their staff doesnt keep a clean place for the kids. I took him to his doctor and they told me it was a throat infection and wasprescribed antibiotics and was only contagious for 24 hours. He stopped running a fever after three days and I had him return to school. These people had the nerve to call me and tell me he was running a temp after the fact I took his tempature the morning of before dropping him off and he was fine. I asked them to show me proof when I got there because maybe my thermometer was wrong. I get there and they took his temp under his arm and it was fine. Then they proceeded to tell me that you must add degrees because it is taken under his arm. I have never heard of this concept or my sons doctor. These people are no daycare when they cant even take a temp right let alone watch your kid the time you need them. Not only that but his first day they fraudulently put in times he wasnt even there to get the state to pay. Im honestly disgusted in this place and I am so glad my son will no longer be going here. They really know how to talk when on the tour so parents be aware these people are not as nice as they look.

The Director Crystal is very prompt when it comes to the care of your child and you can see the passion, along with the teachers and the front office staff. We re very happy to have chosen this school and it s so clean and well maintained. To see your child excited to go to school is very heart warming.

UPDATE: 12/23 I would like to give a special Thanks to Mrs. Crystal White for stepping in as the new Director and making big changes. I didnt quite understand at first, but now I see why you were chosen for the job. My kid has learned so much in just a short time frame, and is more engaged even outside of school. Mrs. White also ensures that she adhere to parents concerns and requests as well as maintaining her own agenda. I am ever so grateful, Thank you so much for everything Mrs. Crystal White, Taylor Melton, and Staff of the Children Lighthouse.

UPDATE: There was recently a change in leadership and the new Director has implemented some great changes. Our little one is learning so much and coming home as a 2yr old counting, knowing all of his colors, talking about the books they read, etc. Very happy to see more learning happening and the changes went into affect so quickly! We recently started at Lighthouse in July. Our little one had been at the same daycare since he was 8 months, the transition to Lighthouse was extremely smooth and our son has been having a blast! Staff are communicative and the camera feature is such a huge bonus.

USE EXTREME CAUTION WHEN CONSIDERING THIS DAYCARE!!! I wouldnt feel right not letting others know the experience we had here. If there were an option for a lower star rating, I would have given it. I highly recommend NOT enrolling your children here. 1. We decided to pull our child from this daycare within the first two hours on her first day and it was not a difficult one to make. Immediately when we walked in for our childs first day, we were expecting to be greeted with smiles and to meet the teacher (this did not happen). The front desk person was welcoming, but sent us to the wrong classroom. We noticed this ourselves, that the kids in the classroom were younger than our child and it wasnt right. We went back to the front desk to let them know and find out where we needed to go. We were then sent to a classroom where the right age group was, but there was absolute chaos happening as soon as we opened the door, I would estimate there was about 10-15 kids in there at the time we were dropping off (8:30 am) with one adult present. Kids were throwing toys everywhere, some were being physical with each other, and so on. The adult in the room (not the teacher) was doing nothing but standing there. We were not greeted by the adult in the room until I said, This is our childs first day, where can we put her things? There was not a cubby or a spot set up for her, we were told to just put them on the table and they will figure it out later. The adult said, I am new, I dont know. Mind you, this same adult was there during the tour, which was two weeks prior. Soon after, another adult walked into the room (still not the teacher). We were told that it is a little chaotic in the mornings and the teacher would be in at 9:30 am and that this was not the full size of the class, that they would be split up shortly after we left. More children kept coming in, growing the children to adult ratio to be concerning. So, my wife and I, against our gut and uncomfortable feelings about leaving our daughter there decided to give it a chance. We both monitored the cameras for the next two and half hours, and nothing changed. There was no structure to the child care whatsoever, the curriculum stated on the website was not being followed, and basically all we saw were the adults in the classroom just trying to manage the children that were out of control. The other children were blatantly ignored on multiple occasions. There was even a 20-25 minute time span where there was no interaction with a handful of kids (one being our child). It honestly, broke our hearts to see this type of treatment happening. From the previous daycare we were at and the quality care we are accustomed to, this was on the complete opposite end of the spectrum. I dont personally know one parent that would be accepting of this place. Above are the highlights of what happened, but we also continued to deal with the staff and owner after it was all said and done. None of which I have one positive thing say about their professionalism and communication. I could go on further, but hopefully this is enough to maybe save a family and child a terrible experience. I will be posting this to every social media outlet to spread the word as well.

In previous months, I had written that they offer an excellent service, but I take back my words about it, and this is because on several occasions they called my Wife to go pick up my baby, using different and absurd excuses all the time. It showed to us the lack of ability to control a classroom of 3-year-old children. But what determined the decision to remove my baby from there, was that they again called my wife to tell her that my baby had thrown a chair at another child. Immediately my wife went there and since it was not the first time that they told her the same argument, she asked that they show her the video of the cameras in the classroom, in order to verify if the reason for which they called her was true, to which the staff there refused and did not want to show her the video. I think that the attitude of denying the video is more than enough to show the lack of honesty and professionalism of the staff that works there.

This is my daughters first time at a daycare & they do really well with her. She s 2 years old but is non verbal & somewhat behind. I like that they re able to work with that & still keep my daughter comfortable. They give you access to video so I can see what she s doing throughout the day, they also log everything & send photos, which I really appreciate. I also love that they have a code on the door to get in. That makes me feel way more comfortable for my babies safety. The owner & staff are very kind people & I like them a lot. The only reason I m rating them 4 stars instead of 5 is because they closed the daycare down for weather but still charged me. I don t really love the idea of paying for a service that I did not receive. If you have a hair appointment & the stylist cancels, you re not expected to pay. Same goes for a doctors appointment or really any kind or service. Because they couldn t watch my daughter, I had to take off work where I didn t get paid which is inconvenient but I still had to pay them. I find it odd to charge someone for literally nothing. Other than that, I really do like and recommend this daycare.

We un-enrolled our our daughter recently due to the complete lack of curriculum. They pulled her normal teacher from the classroom and we instantly noticed a decrease in structure and the quality of the lessons. My advanced 4 year old was now being tasked with gluing feathers onto construction paper. This is not the level of instruction we were getting with the previous teacher, Ms. Ieasha. The communication here is another concern. On multiple occasions I ve had to wait days-weeks to get someone to call me back about important issues. 100% of the time I am having to call multiple times before anyone returns my call. I asked multiple times when my daughter would be tested to move up to the next grade . Initially I was told that the teacher was pulled from the class and so the students are having to stay in the younger class (not acceptable) and then I was told that she would be tested by the end of November.I checked back early December and was told by the same person that gave me the previous test day information that she wasn t aware that she was supposed to be tested and then promised she would be tested the following day. The following day there was no test and there has still been zero follow up regarding this. This daycare keeps the kids safe, which I m grateful for, however, the teachers are frequently pulled from the classroom at the expense of the child. My daughter shouldn t be ignored for 7 minutes while VERY obviously asking for help 4 feet from the teacher. I watched on camera for 7 minutes while my daughter was clearly verbally asking for help and raising her hand. The teacher didn t even look in her direction or acknowledge her. This location needs structure and should really consider keeping the teachers IN the classroom. Ms. Ieasha, Ms. Lexus, and Ms. Natasha, you ladies made my daughters experience great, you ladies should be IN the classroom where these kids can benefit from the love and knowledge you have and freely share. You shouldn t be in the kitchen or at the front desk while less than qualified teachers are ignoring the students in the classroom. Old Review. See above updated review: We recently decided it was time to get our 4 year old in a structured daycare to get her ready for kinder next year. Weve used other day cares (both home daycares & facilities) and our daughter has NEVER enjoyed herself. Everything changed when we enrolled her in Childrens Lighthouse in Little Elm. She wakes up excited on school days and has that same excited energy when I pick her up 8 hours later. She is making friends & truly loves it here. Also, MS. IESHA!!!!! You are a gem! I check in on Ava frequently and see the interactions you have with her. You pay attention to her, you play with her, you make her laugh & I adore you for that!!!! You are an amazing teacher, Ava loves you. Thank you!!!!

We moved to Dallas about 3 years ago. We picked Childrens Lighthouse due to the distance from our house. There has been an ownership change last year and I was worried that we won t be feeling comfortable anymore. There were issues we have seen and did not like. When I heard from my friends the same opinions, I have decided to send a letter to the owners. I have to say that I was pleasantly surprised that many of the issues were fixed within a day. I have not seen anything but positive results. The owners personally came to talk to me about the issues mentioned in the letter and explained and discussed everything in it and the remedy for it. And my kids .my second born was with Childrens Lighthouse until he started school this year. He absolutely loved Ms. Ieasha, she is an awesome person with ton of experience that knows how to get kids excited. My son is not a sleeper and when I requested for him not to take naps he was allowed to jump between classes and his last few months he attended Mr. Lens class with school aged children and he absolutely loved Mr. Len. He was able to entertain him with many project just like he belonged with the class. My youngest started at Lighthouse about 4 months ago and I feel like she ended up with the best teachers ever. Ms. Maham greets her every morning and if she is little moody she will give her a hug and tries to make her feel better. And her classroom teacher Ms. Paramita is very caring and makes sure she is happy. She knows her children and knows my little one is very particular about certain items and she always works with her to make her smile. She absolutely loves Ms.Maham and Ms. Paramita. I would definitely recommend Childrens Lighthouse.

Since the new ownership took over, it hasn t been the same. We attended Childrens Lighthouse since our daughter was 6 months old. We went there for 4.5 years, and just recently left. Staffing has been an ongoing issue over the last year, due to the new management. Safety is a huge concern. Please know they offer discounts on tuition for great reviews, so make sure to read through all the reviews to get good, honest reviews. Not from someone that s hoping to get a discount on their tuition.

We have had our kids here for the past 7-8 months and I can see how much they have grown and love going here. They always come home with stories about their days and the staff is amazing and makes us feel apart of the family. They always greet us soon as we walk through the door and keep us up to date with anything happening within the school.

My son has attended this school since March. At that time they were struggling with some turnover of staff. Over the summer they worked very hard to find and train quality teachers. Ms Paramita, Ms Maham, Ms Lexus, and Ms Iesha are so caring with my boy. They understand that sometimes kids dont have control over their emotions and its their job to help them. Great job everyone!

My daughter has been going to this place since 2019. I loved the previous owner and staff. They were great and worked with me when covid hit. Once new management took place and new staff came aboard it all went down hill. I reserved my daughters spot for this coming school year and when I called to check up on things they told me that they will no longer pickup from Palmoa Creek Elementary. Next week is back to school and finding new daycare is hard. I wished that they would have informed families that have kids going to Paloma about the change. Well my child will no longer be attending this facility.

First off, my son used to attend this daycare years ago. Everything was fine at that time and I thought it would be great for him to go to a place that would be familiar for him. Now that he is on summer break and bored in the house, I wanted to put him in somewhere to have fun during the summer. I tried calling to get information about enrolling my son and I was told I had to speak to one particular person. My information was taken for that person to call me back. Two weeks have passed and I have never received a call back from that person. I had called a few days between now and then and kept getting told I had to speak to that person. Today, I was finally advised that there are no spots available for my 7 year old. Why didnt they just say that in the beginning? Why didnt that person ever call me? Completely unprofessional and the attitude I received was as if I was bothering them. I have a 14 month old as well and I wanted to enroll her once the school year started in August. That will not be happening now. Great job, Nicole!

Transitioning a child from a small, private childcare setting to a larger childcare center is often the most difficult decision any parent can make. This was the case for us when we enrolled at Childrens Lighthouse. We were concerned about safety, cleanliness, whether our 3 year old would receive the level of individual attention he requiered from staff, academic curriculum and appropriate classroom structure. These concerns were laid to rest when I received a personal phone call from the Director informing me that our son was adjusting well during his first week. These concerns remain at rest as we are at our 1-year anniversary with Childrens Lighthouse of Little Elm. The staff has remained open and available to speak with us when we requested. I am impressed with the way the staff continues to make consistent efforts to accommodate every child and parent especially during these unforeseen changes with childcare and the world in general. Because no one and no family is perfect, we will always appreciate effort and genuine support. Thank you staff and teachers for keeping my son excited about learning, interacting with his friends, and safe!

First and foremost I would like to say the energy you have in the front is as welcoming as it can be with high standards we loved it and that s the reason we decided to enroll our daughter here, unfortunately our standards were not met. Nothing was given as stated. No door code,No way to access the app without an email. We didn t receive any emails. Lack of knowledge of who my child was or who I was made me skeptical because the afternoon teacher told me their understaffed. The director literally gave excuses and didn t seem concerned at all.. WHAT.!!! This is child care people .!!!!!! Don t even consider this place

If I could leave a review with zero stars I would. I chose Childrens Lighthouse of Little Elm because of what was sold to me during the tour and the fact that there is an option to live monitor your childs classroom during the day. I was lead to believe the learning curriculum was stellar, the teachers were kind, the cooking staff/teachers were in tune with diets/allergies, etc, a loving environment with lots of activities to help enrich our children but I saw the complete opposite. I had two children to join childrens lighthouse (2 and 4 year olds). Although we were in attendance for 3 weeks, I was ready to unenroll my kids during the first week. The only reason we stayed was because the new director Melissa (who started 1 day after I enrolled my kids) sold me another dream of how she had planned to turn the school around. She advised that a new teacher was underway for the 2 year old class and she asked that we give her a month to show a difference and allow the new teacher, who was great with 2 year olds, to start. All of it was empty promises. In addition, she was not as caring and she appeared to be. What I experienced and saw on the monitoring app, PB&J as well as in person was this in the 2 year old class- Teachers snatching 2 yr old children by their arms aggressively, zero patience, toys all over the floor ALL DAY (safety hazard), childrens jackets all over the floor (unsanitary), all of the childrens blankets/napping items thrown in a pile in the room daily after naps (unsanitary), no learning curriculum, cleanliness was nonexistent, no stability with staff, my son came home twice with some other child s diaper on, his two outfits I sent and socks for a change of clothes went missing, his fitted sheet for his cot was never used and went missing, his Easter basket was taken, and none of these items were replaced. It was just a big unorganized, aggressive, unclean, unorganized daycare. The front office staff changed often. What I saw in the 4 year old class was not as disappointing. The teacher was kind, a lot more structured, and ran a tight ship compared to the the 2 year old class but there still was not enough one on one teacher interaction with the kids for my liking. I decided to unenroll my kids with a 1-week notice. During their last week I considered leaving them enrolled only because I thought the new teacher for the 2 year olds may start and make a positive impact and I was also concerned with moving my children to another daycare so soon and having a negative impact on their emotional development. I called and asked Melissa if it was possible for me to allow my kids to give her a little more time to get the school in line. She said she was not sure if the spots were filled and she would let us know. I told her I needed to know in that moment so that I could make a decision. She advised the enrollment specialist, was unavailable and would get back with me. Hours passed and I did not hear back so I decided to stick with my gut and move forward with enrolling my children at another daycare that I had been in communication with for weeks (best decision ever). Later that day I went to pick up my kids and Melissa pulled me to the side to inform me that the spots were taken and my kids could not stay enrolled. I let her know after her spill that I had already enrolled them elsewhere and we had no desire to stay. We asked to speak with the owner to discuss our experience and we were told they would call us and that never happened although we called multiple times asking. The executive director, Tibra, returned our call on our kids last day (not the owner as requested) but we did not get to call her back until that Monday. We called and left messages multiple times and to this day, no call back (1 week later). All items are still missing, no reimbursement or remorse has been shown. This was a horrible experience and we would not recommend this daycare to anyone. Save yourselves the waste of money, time, and anguish and enroll your children elsewhere.

Please read Im so mad at Childrens light lighthouse daycare. My kids were there for about 2 years, but because of the COVID, we kept them at home for 8 months. Last week, we decided to send them back and I called and asked them what protocol do they have for COVID and I asked them has anything changed??? I was told, NO, we just do not allow parents to come inside. I said: so, nothing has changed, even the class size? They said NO. On Monday, about 5 days after I talked to them, I dropped off my kids. On the security camera, I saw there were more than 20 kids in the room!!! I called and asked why too many kids are in the room, during the COVID??? I was told, theyre actually 27 kids and some are absent!! They combined rooms #6 and 7 together! I was told that they wanted to open room#7 since Oct, but they dont know when it happens! I asked why they do not split them into the 2 rooms: 15 kids with a teacher instead of 27 kids in a room with 2 teachers? They told me that the owner doesnt allow it! I was so shocked! Because I asked them about the class size, and they told me nothing has changed and they even have fewer kids!! I couldnt stop thinking about that! Because my husband and I have medical conditions and we have to be cautious about the COVID. so, I picked up my kids very soon and then told them that theyre not going again until they open room #7 A day after, they changed my bank account for $463! I asked the director to refund me, but she told me the owner said that they cannot refund me, because they are struggling financially and have to pay the teachers and their costs!!!! What the hell!!! Why she wants to get our money to cover her financial problems?? She lied to us, she didnt tell us that she combined 2 classes until the day that we got there! She was supposed to explain it to us. We had the right to make a decision if we want to send our kids in that situation or not!!! But she deceived us!!! Its like she stole our money!!! We called every day for 5 days, but the owner did not respond and did not call us at all!!!!!!! So shameful I just want to share my story here, because I know many kids from this area are going there!! Just be aware of what facility you are sending your kids!! Its managed by someone who only thinks about her money and looks at your kids as an investment and tries to get money by hiding the truth!!! She NEVER thinks about safety and parent concerns!

3 accident reports in the first 5 days of my 22 month old daughter attending this daycare. The kids are not supervised like they should be. The tour made this daycare seem great. Once I got access to the cameras I was able to see kids climbing up the book shelves, and throwing things. The kids were allowed to run wild. The teachers did not pay enough attention to what was going on. My little one got bit on the chest, the arm and scratched by another child on both sides of her face.ea h time breaking skin. She tends to play by herself, so this is not something she would have brought upon herself. My husband talked to one of the owners after the 2nd incident. My husband was reassured that the issue would be taken care of, that they would watch the kids more closely. The next day she got another incident report. They dont call when accidents happen either. I had to find out as I was walking in to pick her up. All of the teachers need to be retrained. I would absolutely stay away from this daycare.

Our son obtained 2nd degree burns from this daycare in August 2018! He was dropped off in the morning with no injuries, and when I picked him up he had 2nd degree burns on his wrist, hand and fingers. When I saw this, I immediately questioned what happened - the director and teachers didnt even know he was injured. They couldnt tell me what happened and actually denied that it happened at the daycare - which sounds ridiculous to me because they were suggesting that we dropped our son off with 2nd degree burns, then their teachers had him all day and even removed a sweatshirt from him (and still didnt notice the burns indicating they werent even paying attention to a severe injury), and then we picked him up, accused them, hired a lawyer and called the police on them. If he had obtained the burns in our care - why would we go to the extent of bringing attention to the situation!?!? Regardless, I demanded the video footage for the entire day. The next few days we got snippets of the drop-off/pick-up/outside activities. During this situation, the director, Ms. Ada Gonzales acted as if this wasnt a big deal and told us she reviewed the footage and that it didnt show anything which was a lie because my husband and I reviewed it in her office and we clearly saw that he had nothing at drop-off and burns at pick-up. We filed a police report, hired a lawyer and called the state. We obtained footage of the entire day which not only confirmed that our son obtained the burns there, but separately and just as concerning showed one of her teachers running up to a child and literally screaming inches away from the little girls face, at another time repeatedly yelling at a little boy who was ill and ended up being taken home. My husband and I felt awful after seeing this footage but it clarified that our son obtained the injuries on site. The owner is going to respond to this review claiming that the CPS and state reports came back concluding that the daycare was found not liable/negligent and that is correct - but that ruling was not because he didnt obtain the burns there, we spoke with all the investigators and police and they even told us that their investigation took extremely long because of how difficult the case was due to the fact that they could see the burns occurred at the daycare and were bothered by the severity of the injuries but that they couldnt see on the footage what happened exactly and so they had to conclude the report by saying they dont think it was malicious intent and could have been an accident, therefore they cant hold the daycare liable. We found out how flawed our judicial system is through this experience, as our lawyer told us that regardless of the fact that our son was definitely burned on-site, to pursue a lawsuit we need to have the footage showing the exact moment of his burns and unfortunately, after reviewing the entire day, we think he sustained the burns outside in an area where the camera doesnt show. This experience was more than traumatic - our 3 year old son now has SCARS because of their facility. How it is acceptable that in this day and age to have video proof of a child being severely injured at a daycare, and somehow not being able to demand justice is beyond me. I suppose if you feel comfortable with the justification that your child could accidentally get burned then go ahead and leave them at this facility but I would never bring my son back to a place where teachers couldnt explain 2nd degree burns and refuse to take responsibility even after video proof is obtained!

Ill start that my wife and I made the mistake of choosing a daycare that was very close to the house. It seemed to be good enough. Well it was our first little one and did not realize how difficult it would be for us to leave her at daycare. After 2 weeks we realized we needed to find a new facility we were more comfortable with. In a scramble we found Lighthouse in Little Elm and it was a savior. Misses Ada and the whole staff were exceptionally welcoming and warm. Accommodated us needing to start ASAP. Our experience there was great. Communication, sanitation, interaction... all fantastic. As a new parent, I was much more at ease having them care for my little one. Since then we have switched daycares. BUT ONLY because the other Lighthouse in Crossroads is just a few minutes from the house. And we dont have to fight 380 traffic. Even then it was a long discussion if we would transfer over. Just because we had built a great connection and relationship with Lighthouse in Little Elm. But we were assured if we needed to come back. They would welcome us with open arms! I always read the reviews but never leave them. This time I wanted to leave a review, not only because Miss Ada and her staff are fantastic. But more so for a new parent reading reviews like I had previously done. They really do help make the decision process a little less stressful.

And the owner Angela had the audacity to tell us this is normal and this always happens in a nursery, with a nasty attitude like we did something to her! Who in their right mind will continue to let their child go to a nursery that pulls their elbow out of place?! They refuse to pay his Dr bills, let us see the tape of what happened and we have yet to find out how it happened. The Dr said this is a form of abuse and it takes extreme force for this to even happen and is very painful for a toddler. We are definitely reporting them and taking them to court! My two year old can say the pledge of allegiance and has learned so much already, counting, letters, numbers, etc. Our two older children went last summer and they ask everyday if they can go back with our daughter. They loved it there as well. The teachers here are wonderful and care about the kids and it shows.
