Dr. David Carlson was my childhood doctor growing up. My visits to his office are so memorable that when I passed by Recently as a 35 year old man, I was very excited to learn that Mr. Carlson was still there. He used to take care of my family. I wonder if he will remember the Blanksons when I come in. I will be reaching out to the office to schedule an appointment really soon.

They want a separate appointment for every single issue. The PA gave vaccinations when my child was ill, even though I told her he wasnt feeling well during a scheduled well visit. She said we would have to make another appointment on another day for a sick visit and refused to look him over or change the appointment. My child was given the wrong vaccination, and when I called to make an appointment for the correct vaccination, she said I would have to pay the full price of the vaccination out of pocket because they will only do vaccinations with well visits. This office seems to be operating purely for billing purposes. Adding Update: Your office just called me and tried to make this my fault by pointing out that I did not have a physical copy of the vaccine record with me. This is true. However, I did sign a form authorizing your office to receive records from our physician in the town we moved from. Apparently, as you stated on the phone, you never actually received this record. So, you guessed at the vaccines to give my child based on his age with no knowledge of whether he had already had these or not is what I learned from your phone call at 1:55pm today. I will be checking into reporting your office.

I went to Dr Carlson office June 13th 2024 for a physical and he doesn t do a complete blood check up . I literally had to ask him did he check me for diabetes, A1C and he said it s not a part of my physical and it is. He doesn t check for everything and plays a lot like your health is funny and it s not . When someone comes in for a physical you check for everything and stop telling them they have to come back for different things . Honestly they are just trying to keep charging the insurance company s. It s sad everything is about the money at Dr Carlson office and not your health. Anything to try to discuss they tell you schedule another visit. I will reporting this to the department of insurance and labor .

I had to go in for a PSA testing(bloodwork) No appointment was necessary.So I walked in and signed in and told the receptionist what I was there for and she said take a seat and someone will be with you.about 25 minutes later I was walking out the door all done,even though they had a room full of patients. I went in person for the first time to see Dr. Carlson and let me say the lady front desk, she had a big bracelet on i think she said Ana eas her name. She is the rudest person ive ever had to deal with .As soon as i talked to her she looked with a bad attitude face and well yes she was so so rude i just had to leave and look for another Dr near me I was so so disappointed how disrespectful she is and i was warned about front staff i just thought it was maybe a miss understanding but the others were right! My relative went yesterday and said Ana front office was extremely rude that she has never been so disrespected in her life before. She spoke to a supervisor and I really hope she did something about it. Said it was so uncomfortable getting yelled at in front of other customers and staff. She was so excited to go to her appointment just for her to come home upset. I m reading other reviews and see her name often. I can t not believe they still let her get away with treating patients that way.

This was my third attempt to make an appointment with this doctor because he is on my insurance card. Today I m calling to get a new one his front desk or answering people are the rudest people I have ever encountered in customer service EVER ESPECIALLY when making a doctors appointment!! I can only imagine the experience of actually going there if they have been this rude. I tried to book way apart from each other just to give it a chance 4 months later it s still an unwelcoming experience. This has been my doctor for two years now.. Not a good doctors office.. I went in the other day because I was feeling down with a cold or flu, and I had to get my prescription refilled.. They told me I would have to make another appointment to be looked at for my flu symptoms.. I literally left out of my doctors office sick with no medication.. They just wanted to charge my insurance for a extra visit.. Plus the staff really sucks.. Cant forget about the nurse practitioner ROWDY.. He tried to diagnose me without even actually seeing me... I know theres better doctors offices better than this place...

I like the doctor, that being said the staff is absolutely horrible! I have been seen in the pas month and half 3 times by Dr. Carlson, don t two extensive blood works, he mentioned if my problem persist I need to go to a cardiologist, my blood pressure out of blue went through the roof I call them to refer me to a cardiologist per his recommendation and all their staff say is I have to been seen again! More than 3 times? People s life does not matter to the ladies in this office it s absolutely ridiculous, I m not gonna wait another two weeks to see the doctor to just gwr a referral.

The clinical team might be okay but the front office staff members are rude and have no customer service skills. Lack of communication between the team memebers. My wife went in for the 1st time her blood pressure was slightly high..they prescribed her High blood pressure medication, she took 1 pill felt terrible called the office after 2days they get back to her insist she continues to take the medication, that was Friday, Saturday morning she took another pill an 3 hours later Told me she didnt feel well, then she Passed out at our Kitchen table, I called 911 where she was rushed to the emergency room, was treated an told by the physician there to never take that medication again because my WIFE DOES NOT HAVE HIGH BLOOD PRESSURE!!! So the doctors office had the Audacity to call us this morning Monday following the ER Trip, to tell us my wife should stop using the medication...IMAGINE THAT!! They are completely OVER BOOKED THEY DONT KNOW WHOS WHO AN WHATS WHAT THE ARE COMPLETE TRASH!! JUST CAUSE U HAVE A DEGREE DOESNT MAKE U QUALIFIED!! YOU WANNA RISK YOUR LIFE-SCHEDULE AN APPOINTMENT OR WALK IN AR YOUR OWN RISK!! Insurance company will be notified as well!! I had another great visit on January 17th Mikayla and Brittany are always very courteous and efficient.Mary Sunshine does a great job and her positive attitude is infectious.Dr Rowdy is a Godsend. He doesnt beat around the bush and gets right to the point. He has a sense of urgency to take care of u.The lady that draws my blood is always a sweetheart. She has such a soft touch with the needle.Dr Carlson even stopped to talk music with Dallas Cowboys with me. The entire office and staff has such a positive vibe. I had todays appt.at 9AM expecting to meet Dr. Carlson only to find out confusion existed on appt.date. Upon I gave my appt. card confirming 28th at 9AM. It was PAs card Hareet.sp. We were to cover my program to reduce dependency on Hydrocodone for back pain for over 25 years. My PA and I agreed to continue effort to reduce a pill by one half. Instead of 3 pills every 24 hours, I already started with 2 & 1 /2 every 24 hours. Will contine this for another week or so until I get to 2 pills/24 hours and so on. We will meet every 30 days to review progress.

5 star review for Sumaiya! I was a walk in with ear pain/loss of hearing and she took care of it in no time and was though. I have been seeing this office since the beginning of the year (2023). It is always busy and no standing around. The are efficient and thorough. The providers listen. There is a lab on site. The Vampires are so tender handed and gentle when taking blood. I drive a good 35 mins from Plano to Garland to see them for my medical needs. From the office staff , billing, providers, nurses to lab techs everyone plays a role. They all do their job quite well.

As a new resident in East Dallas County, I had my first visit in December and filled out the typical new patient paperwork. The care I received was good. Today on my follow up visit, I was asked to fill out paperwork again. I mentioned that I had just done it 3 months before. I was told their policy was to complete it every year, and this was my first visit this year. It appears the admin staff was unaware I had just verified the accuracy of all the information 1 or 2 days before, online, at their request. I also received a call from the office the day before asking for the information and I told them I had verified it all online in response to a text message. Based on this interaction, I lost confidence in the practice s record keeping and attention to detail. I will be seeking more organized and attentive care elsewhere.

I ve been going to Dr Carlsons office for several years. Staff is always friendly, professional even when there are long lines of walk in patients. Went for a Covid, flu and strep test. Got results back within minutes.

Normally I would have given more stars. Unfortunately, a member of the office staff, ( Anna) was loud, rude, and argumentative about my situation, some things are stressful enough when a person is ill, but having my personal problem yelled at me and into the waiting room behind me was a bit much. I asked her to please stop with the attitude and she snapped at and argued with me. I have been coming to Dr Carlson on and off for a handful of years and this is the first time someone on his staff has been so awful. It only takes one rotten apple. Hopefully I wont be subject to having to deal with that behavior in future.

Getting controlled substance medication costs $10 extra each disbursement, effectively making the cost of their service Co-pay + $10. I will miss you guys, you did a pretty good job, but youre intentionally rising your price higher then your competitors with no added benefit.

I Have been a patient of D. Carlson for thirty years recently I have have been treated by PA Matthew and I am pleased by the level of professionalism, knowledge, and personal demeanor in our interactions. I am not an easy patient with my ongoing battles with Parkinsons and HBP. As my PCP tThey have kept up with my specialists. Dr. Carlson once told me I would be monitored by him until I was 100. Looking forward to that day

As always every time I visit the office they are always professional courteous very much tactful great listeners they go over and beyond and making sure that I am knowledgeable and very detailed in taking care of myself and if anybody else that take care of me they know. I am very proud to be a patient of Dr. Carlson and all of the technicians, nurses, PAs, and staff, from the front to the back. I am grateful for all of them even my draculas as I call them those they get the blood they are great and I know that I have the worst veins but I love them all and I am grateful for the entire team there at Dr. Carlson Best Care Garland.

Harneet Dr. Carlson s PA s was not just very professional but also very thorough on both my initial visit and the follow up two weeks later. I wouldn t hesitate to recommend her as I already have to my wife and mother in law. If you are unable to wait for an appointment to see Dr. Carlson don t hesitate to see her.

We have been going to Dr. Carlson for over 20 plus years and have been very happy with him and his PAs. We have been seeing PA Matthews for the last few years and she is very good. We would highly recommend his office to anyone. 12/01/2022 He has a new PA that we saw and she was familiar with our background which I thought was very impressive. Her name is Hartnett Kaur.

Your front desk person is absolutely horrible! She has 0 manners on how to treat patients (your customers). Yesterdays visit with the PA she made my daughter feel rushed and was not able to ask about additional medication that she needs. If nothing changes with the way we as patients are treated, I m going to change providers as much as I enjoy this office and doctors.
