Went for mother s day this year and was so not impressed. Valet didn t open my door or my mother s. For some reason he opened my dad s door. And the clientele has gone downhill so much. Ghetto looking tank tops and shorts inside with a bunch of kids.

My husband brought me here for my 61st birthday. It was our first time here. From the time we met with the host and our amazing waiter Stockton the vibe was great! The food was great. I smiled to whole night with my hubby. We have been to high-end restaurants but this is one experience I will always cherish.

The food was average and consideing what you pay it should be much better. I had a steak the previous day at another restaurant for half the price and was more tender and tastier. The waiters are very good though and constantly checking on you. Then there was three girls at the hostess desk and they were not very welcoming. The valet was very nice and even opened the doors for customers.

Our first time here was a wonderful experience thanks to the location (at the Hotel Crescent Court), the customer service provided by Rock and Vilena and the food. Vilena was our server and made sure we understood the menu and got everything we needed. She was attentive, polite and so gracious. We ordered the lobster mac n cheese, porcini rubbed bone in rib eye with 15 year aged balsamic, seared sea scallops with Maine lobster and asparagus risotto and the crème brûlée. Everything from the bread basket to dessert was made to perfection and tasted great. After dinner we took a stroll through the courtyard at the Crescent Hotel. It s a beautiful location for photos. We will be back with friends and family.

One of my favorite restaurants, cozy and welcoming Plenty parking lots and also have valet service. It s also the restaurant I ve been moved by loll.. The dishes and services are as good as ever. What is worth recommending is the coconut cake, which is sweet but not greasy. For me who don t eat much dessert, I love it very much.. The shrimp cocktail in the appetizer is also worth a try, The shrimp is very big and super refreshing, also very delicious

Honestly, if I could rate it six stars, I would. Enough said. The service was exceptional from the start from the hostess who welcomed us to our waiter Greg; he was great! Very knowledgeable too, he answered all the questions we had regarding the menu. We ordered two steaks that were cooked to perfection, really really juicy and tender, especially the pepper-crusted NY strip. The hash browns with caviar were also delectable. The lobster bisque and the lobster-crab cake was also to die for! The cherry on top was the creme brulee. Absolutely delicious! My only downside was seeing other customers not fully respecting the dress code thats asked for, but theres nothing I can do about other peoples dress choices. Parking: Friendly staff, they offer to park and valet your car at a fixed rate of 10 bucks, not bad Id say

We recently celebrated my wife s birthday at The Capital Grille in Dallas, and it was an outstanding experience. Maitre D when we entered, Rock was exactly what I love about a maire D at a nice restaurant! He was immediately welcoming, complimentary and really set the mood for a nice experience. Busy Satuirday night, too be expected. First time visitors here, newish to Dallas, enjoy a good steak and came for a nice dinner out. Our server was a bit busy and didnt feel like he was very attentive. Would disappear for long periods of time and felt that if you wanted another glass of wine, youll just have to wait a long time. With the experience I feel that capital grille is trying to have, our server needed help. Ordered filet and lobster, lobster, au gratin potatoes. Received our food. Unfortunately the potatoes were cold, took awhile for server check back, long enough we were almost done with our meal. He did take it right away and bring us another one that was hot. For a meal of this price tag, I expect the whole package and might suggest Trulucks or Eddie Vs instead. Unfortunate, was hoping to have a new date night place right downtown.

We had went the previous year to Del Frisco s and was so disappointed with the lack of detail or concern for our special day that I escalated the situation to their corporate and regional manager with still no resolve! This was not the case at The Capital Grille! When we arrived we were greeted with open arms by the managers and greeted with Happy Anniversary! When we arrived at the table you could tell that they cared about detail as we had a rose and petals on the table along with a hand written note from the team! Karen our server was fantastic! Very personable and knowledgeable. The food was delicious and Karen even made us a dessert platter of her favorite desserts to end the night as their present to us! We would highly recommend this restaurant for an elevated dinner experience and can t thank Karen and the team for such a wonderful experience. We will for sure be back!

Not only does this place have the best steak, sides, and desserts I ve ever had, but our server, Leslie, is the best server I have ever had in my life. I took my now fiancé here a few months ago to celebrate our anniversary and Leslie then took great care of us and gave us exceptional service. I visited on 2/3/24 to celebrate my birthday and the entire experience was 5 . The customer service was amazing! Everyone was very nice. My waitor Greg was very sweet and the manager Denise came to our table to thank us for dining with them! They just really took that extra step to make your occasion special! The food was great, or server, Karen E, was fantastic. My only note is that on the night I went, the garlic confit in the sautéed spinach was NOT confit--just oily charred garlic. It was all still really good though! Would definitely go back. Parking: Valet is $10, self-parking in the garage is about $5/hr. The restaurant does validate for the garage, but only for a discount. Its Uptown so theres free street parking if you dont mind a little walk. Kid-friendliness: No kids menu so not really a place for kids unless they are VERY well behaved and actually eat real food.

This is a very upscale steakhouse in uptown that does not disappoint with the quality of their steaks. The service is top notch as well. My husband and I dined at this location last night, 11/13/23. We selected this restaurant above many others to celebrate our wedding that took place earlier in the day. Our reservation was for 8:45 (this was booked for the two of us by family). We both work in the service industry, and I was a little worried that our reservation was at the tail end of their service hours. I called ahead and asked, are you sure that we will be as welcome as any other guest that dines earlier in the evening? I was assured that they are prepared for two hours per table. We arrive and are taken to our booth. The restaurant is beautiful and warm. 10/10 for ambiance. Our server takes our drink order. My husband ordered a glass of wine, and I ordered a signature cocktail The Bohemian. I was very disappointed by the cocktail. It wasnt a well crafted cocktail, and it wasnt very balanced. I took one sip and did not touch the drink for 35 minutes. During this time, our server saw that I had not continued to drink the cocktail, but she mentioned nothing and did not ask how it was. It was only when she asked my husband if he wanted a second glass of wine that she bothered to see if I wanted something else. The original drink was comped, but I was really disappointed that, for level of service I expect for an establishment of this calibur, it took much too long for my server to check in with us on how we were enjoying our beverages. We received our appetizer very shortly after our original drink orders, and the lobster and crab cake app was delicious. We were enjoying our appetizer and bread basket when we were interrupted by a busser/server support/another server asking if we were finished with our appetizers yet. I was in the process of chewing as this question was asked. The moment this happened I already knew what was happening. Closing time! Hurry up! We received our food in a timely fashion. My filet was delicious and cooked to a perfect medium rare. The porcini ribeye my husband ordered was not worth the money. Cooked to temp but over-charred on the outside (because the kitchen was in a rush!) and the sauce we found very acidic. The sides were an afterthought. I love creamed spinach, and I would not order Capitals again. Mashed potatoes were passable, and Ive had better elsewhere. We informed our server upon our arrival (and being asked what we were celebrating) that it was our wedding day, and, until the last 15 minutes of our time at the restaurant, I would not have known what was done to make our experience special. We received a dessert plate, and it felt like we given all of ten minutes to enjoy it before we were promptly handed the check. Overall, we were not impressed with our service or experience at this establishment at all. For such an important day to us personally, and for the money we spent, I was not happy with our experience. I will not recommend this location to others, and I do not plan to return. The staff really work as a team, but the particular server we were blessed to be matched up with was truly one of a kind. I m sure that all of them are great, but he made our anniversary more special than just the great environment and dinner selections. Jazzmen Ringo is a professional waiter who creates a special ambiance beyond what even the resturant could provide. His outstanding personality, in combination with his professional expertise was the keynote of our evening at this fine resturant. The portions of food are very filling and we even had enough for a snack the following day. But the portions of both the entrees as well as the delicious side dishes still don t compare with the portion of care and attention that this fabulous establishment dishes out. We will be making a point to return even when it isn t for a special occasion and even want to check out some of their other locations when we travel to big cities. However, the next time we are in Dallas we look forward to another incredible meal at The Capital Grille and will be requesting Janszen Ringo by name! Parking: Busy street where you could pay for garage parking or even get lucky and find a parallel park on a street, but in either case avoiding paying for valet will require a few blocks of walking back to the resturant. If you choose this option, probably best to let the other well dressed members of your party out at the door and then go park the car unless it is just a wonderful weather day and you have plenty of time for a leisurely stroll.

My husband and i came here for our anniversary recently. I was so impressed with the cute note they left for us on the table. I really enjoyed eating here. Everything tasted amazing. The atmosphere is good with lots of space to sit. Parking is paid and underground but Capital Grill pays for that. I tried sea food and it was good. Not too salty or greasy. Of course this restaurant is pricey. I felt we were rushed through appetizers and meal like they would like us to finish and if there no more order, leave the restaurant. I think capital grill is photography friendly but remember like most of the restaurants there not much light here.

Celebrated one of my buddies birthdays here mid October and it was a great experience. No complaints at all, I felt welcomed as soon as I arrived, parking was also a breeze in the garage under the restaurant. Our service was amazing, it was about 8 of us and she did not disappoint, went above and beyond for us and gave us some complimentary champagne to toast after we finished our meal/dessert for the birthday boy. The salmon was incredible, it was a nice size portion and cooked to perfection. The mashed potatoes were very good, Ive been to the Austin location and each time Capital Grille lived up to their name.

Came here to celebrate my girlfriend s birthday last weekend. The food was AMAZING! She ordered the filet mignon and I ordered the lamb chops. We shared the lobster Mac and cheese mmmm so delicious. Went for wine tasting . Disappointed that the stipulations are to buy an entree but there are no veggie entrees. Offered pasta that I unfortunately can t eat and was told to order sides, which is limited because some have meat. So ended with 2 sides. I guess great for me because I saved money while they lost out on money but would be nice to have better options to actually have an experience. Oh and as a restaurant owner, the manager don t have to lie and say the fire department is coming in 5 minutes to force us to leave at the end, when we weren t done, just say you re ready to go home. I ve dealt with code enforcement and the fire department for 2 years off Mckinney. And we had conversation more than 5 minutes outside and the fire department wasn t there.
