This was my first time here, my friend brought me, we had the fried mushrooms for our appetizer, and they did not disappoint, super good nice crunch and the batter was cooked all the way. I say that because some places you go the batter is still kind of doughy, but not here they were really good, large portion we got the 1/2 order still was enough for the two of us. Next I got the Cottage pie. It was such a large portion Im taking half of it home. It was well balanced with meat, carrots, peas & mashed potatoes on top. Definitely worth trying. My friend had the fish & chips(frys), the frys looked so good I asked to try one and I could not stop eating the them. By far the Best frys I have had anywhere, hands down so good. But the best part of the whole meal was the bread pudding. Everything was fantastic but that bread pudding was creamy, firm & really delicious. Its a good place for the whole family, its priced reasonably, large portion sizes, shareable sizes, they close by 9pm. Has a nice size patio area. Has a Bar area if youre looking for happy hour. Highly recommend yall give this place a try. 10 out of 10. Definitely will be back to try something else. Dietary restrictions: They have a lot of Gluten Free options on their menu.

Fish and chips-fish so tough couldn t even cut it and mushy peas burnt. They remade our meal but then charged us full price vs lunch price. Was over them so just paid and left. UPDATE: manager reached out to me within an hour and stated he was going to look into the matter. Appreciate that part of the service.

Don t bother getting the fish and chips it is disgustingly old frozen fish. It was piping hot delivered by Uber eats but it is brown in the inside and hard to chew. The chips were also no good and all of it is flavorless. Those peas? Straight out the can no salt or anything added. A waste of money.

The food was not bad. It wasnt great either, but it is what it is. The service on the other hand was ridiculous. The server was mad that our order was lost in their system. Not her fault, not our fault. She was prepared to send us packing having spent $74 on lunch and not getting food or a refund. I had to call the company the orders go through and the problem was on their end. They got the order to the restaurant and no harm no foul. Until the server gave me grief over asking for some plastic ware and ketchup. She then went on to tell me my internet connection is at fault. I didnt complain one bit about the 30 min delay in getting our food. Why she had to give me an attitude is anyones guess. There was only one other couple in the restaurant and I even waited out in my car, so I wouldnt be taking up a seat just in case they got busy.

And now for something completely different. A little meal goes a long way. I went here for a birthday lunch. For some reason when I put in liver and onions this place popped up. The place is a simple restaurant made to be a British pub. The food was good and worth trying, the dishes had a lot of flavour. Like all Islands Hawaii, Puerto Rico, the British Isles has some really delicious pork dishes. I actually was full after a few bites and managed to stretch the meal across the day. Still thinking how good it was at night.

We were hoping for a change to our normal spots, but the experience fell short. The tables were sticky, and the floors were dirty as well. Food tasted old, and the Tikka was served with hard rice. We got a kids Mac for our little one, which she liked at first, but then she informed us the dish had no flavor, and she was correct. It was $80 for the 4 of us. That was our first and last experience at this location.

Came here with friends who have been in the past and enjoyed it. SO much of the menu has peas included, which I do not eat. I asked if I could substitute the peas for one of the other sides and was told by the waitress that I would have to pay for it, not even a reduced amount since I was swapping out the peas, but full price. Since they would not budge on the stupid peas I opted for the Tikka Masala. The meal provided was grainy and thick, the edge of the plate sprinkled with raw spice powder. The naan was thin, tough and chewy. Appeared to be store bought and old. Friend with me said her food was definately better in the past her pot roast gravy had a sweet taste she didnt like. Service was meh. Interior is small, COLD and the air vents drip on you. Maybe we got the fill in chef today, but I doubt I will go back. Id rather go somewhere that lets me choose my side dishes and the staff is less standoffish.

Traditionally battered, served with tender wedge fries. The tartar sauce was good, and the fresh lemon and malt vinegar put us in heaven. We had the cole slaw side. Creamy, but not drenched, with a fresh crunch. If you feel truly British, try the mushy peas. We had the beer battered mushrooms for an delicious appetizer, made even better by jalapeño ranch dressing. All with an Ale from the bar, the meal was perfect. Nice enough but completely forgot the only kid at the tables meal entirely and plays it off with, oh the cools are making a whole new batch. Doesnt fly. And when it finally comes out, you can tell it was clearly rushed. The noodles were practically crunchy. I recommend it if you want decent food, but expect disappointing service. This was our 1st time coming to this place and it was a good experience. Some of the items are an acquired taste but doesnt mean its bad food so Im not gonna judge by that. We ordered the Steak and Ale Pie, The Shepards Pie, Scotcheggs (both regular and spicy, the Rarebit appetizer, and the Blackberry Cheesecake. We enjoyed everything. As I said before however some things are an acquired taste cause even though the Scotch eggs werent horrible neither of us could do the texture of the egg. I did have to pick out all the mushrooms of my Steak and Ale Pie; I didnt remember seeing that ingredient on the menu but it was easy to remove. The service was very friendly. There was delays in getting drink refills but there seemed to be only 1 person serving tables so we just let her know when we needed refills. All the food appeared to be made upon ordering cause it does take a few minutes for the food to come out; Which was fantastic! I have to say my favorite dish was the Rarebit (spelling?). Its beer-cheese, bacon, and graded cheese an either toast or thick cut French fries. We got it on fries and its a dangerous item cause its so delicious!!! The beer-cheese didnt overpower it. It recommend trying this place out. They have lots of gluten free options.

Everything we had was wonderful, from the Taste of Britain Sampling Board to the Beer-Battered Mushrooms. Then on to the Steak & Ale Pie and the Bubble and Squeak. Finish it off with a nice big helping of Sticky Toffee Pudding with whipped cream and that is my idea of a perfect meal. We were so thrilled to discover this hidden gem that we are already planning to visit again in a couple of weeks. We are going to show up for an early Sunday luncheon so that we can try the Roast Beef and Yorkies (aka, the Sunday Roast, which is only available on Sundays and while supplies last). Im told they sell out within a couple hours of their 11am Sunday opening time. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED !!!!

We have gone here several times this past year. Overall the food quality is hit and miss. One time the fish and chips was excellent. The next barely passable. The service and the atmosphere however make the place. They have a wide selection of beers which also is nice. Overall fun place bordering on awesome if they could get the food quality down.

Our server was very slow. That was the first problem. We had the Brussels and bacon appetizer and a Scotch egg appetizer. We ordered the roast beef and Yorkies entree as well as the fish and chips entree. There might have been a quarter ounce of bacon in the appetizer. And whole brussel sprouts are an interesting presentation for this type of appetizer. The Scotch egg was okay but not great. Now for the entrees. The roast beef was a very poor cut of meat. Therefore it was dry and grainy. The carrots, potatoes, and peas were lackluster at best. Maybe canned peas are traditional for this type of meal in Britain but theyre not what I expect on a meal Im paying for. The Yorkshire pudding was just a little empty pocket of bread. I dont get it. The only thing decent on the plate was the gravy and it was oddly sweet. The fish and chips were cooked perfectly. The fish was moist and flaky. Unfortunately, it was completely unseasoned and flavorless. The chips were okay. The coleslaw was very mild and it was probably the most flavorful thing on the fish and chips entree. I wont bother going here again.

Service is great but food is awful. This place is about as British as Burger King when it comes to authenticity. The owners should look up the definitions of pie, butty, and naan and re-label their menu items accordingly. A bowl of soup with a puff pastry thrown on top is as much of a pie as a hot dog is, perhaps less so. You couldn t pay me to return.

Wow!! What a treat to dine at From Across the Pond. We visited for the first time today, and we very much enjoyed our visit. I have a severe soy and gluten allergy, so while finding a GF restaurant isn t crazy difficult, find one with gluten-free AND soy-free options can be somewhat challenging. I emailed the restaurant before our visit to ask about soy-free options, and the owner graciously responded with a list of every menu item that would be safe for me. When we arrived, we were greeted right away and then attended to by our terrific waitress, Mikayla, who was the perfect level of attentiveness throughout the entire meal. The regular menu has many gluten-free options, all clearly labeled as either GF or ask for GF . This is such a fine detail, but it is very much appreciated as it completely takes the guesswork out of ordering. Our food arrived in a timely manner, and it was just incredible! I had the Texan burger, and my husband who is not GF had the Sunday roast. The presentation, temperature and flavor were all spot-on, and we happily ate every bite. I enjoyed the incredible bonus (that every Celiac/GF person will understand) of getting to eat a restaurant meal without being anxious about getting sick. Thank you to John, the owner, for a wonderful restaurant and to all of the capable, friendly staff. We will most definitely be back soon! Dietary restrictions: Gluten-free, soy-free options

PROs: Friendly atmosphere, quick service, simple and small menu. Plenty of parking in a great location. The bar area appeared welcoming. CONs: We paid close to $45 for 3 meals & 1 soda. I only took a few bites of my burger meal. Most of the food was processed and frozen, most definitely the meat patties. The table, floor and menu also had sticky residue. Our visit was the 1st week in December and we can say we tried it.

Having been to London and even Manchester many times I had high hopes for this place. Sadly I wasnt impressed with the fish and chips and the girlfriend (born and raised in London) wasnt happy with the Bangers and Mash. I expected crispy fish and chips golden brown but what I received were fish almost a burnt orange color. The chips (fries) didnt have the crispy outside with soft flaky inside I was expecting as the whole thing seemed soggy. To be frank, Ive had better fish and chips from Long John Silvers. Im not a fan of mushy peas so I ordered the coleslaw which was room temp when Im expecting it to be chilled. We didnt order dessert due to our disappointment with our entrees. I had high hopes but sadly will not be back.
