This was such a fantastic place! Great gluten free options and the gf pasta tastes fresh! The staff was sweet and attentive and talking to the owner was a treat! I have been coming here for years! It has been the home to many of my special nights including my proposal and my wedding reception! The staff are all incredible, and the owner is one of the kindest people you will ever meet! If you are needing Italian or just in the mood for a wonderful experience, PLEASE GO TO CAFFE CAPRI! Its often intimidating to go downtown when you hear people talk about the bad parking situation but dont be. I showed up for date night at this cute restaurant got front row parking and was immediately greeted by the most amazing staff . Exceeds expectations in every way! We had a terrific dinner last night at Caffé Capri. Everything from the ambience to the Andes mints that came with the bill was just splendid. Talked with the owner for a little bit, super nice guy. Highly recommend the house special tortellini. Just a 10/10 date night experience in downtown Bryan. Will be back for sure.

Wonderful and charming Italian restaurant with excellent food and service. When we arrived at the restaurant we were quickly greeted by the owner and seated. All the pastas were delicious and you can tell these recipes have a rich history and are made with love. Our waiter Wyatt was very attentive ensuring we had full drinks and anything else we needed during dinner. And the prices are very reasonable for the quality of food, service and atmosphere. This pasta shop sells a decent variety of different spaghettis like fettuccine, long thin boyz, and fat cylinders. It is all very delicious or as they say in italyian, Muy Bien. The kids menu has a nice little selection for them youngings ranging from, I dont know, to I dont care, to a literal plate. But good news the plate only costs $0.00

Update: Really could improve the wine for the price charged. The food and service are still good. The wine not so much and the variety has not improved. Original review below Good food. Good service. Good price on the wine. Friendly staff. The Cajun tortellini was good. A little too creamy. I would add a little spicy marinara in it The chicken parmesan was good. Had it served over two different tortellini dishes. The Cajun sauce was my preferred sauce. The spicy ravioli was the bomb. Nice and spicy. Only wish would be a little more variety on the menu. Maybe a fish dish and or a veggie dish other than the eggplant. Owner said he wants to open a second place. I would suggest in SE Cstat where old (rich) Ags have retired.

To rate the food bad would be to compliment it. This was the most awful food Ive ever had. The spaghetti and meatballs were cold. The cheese on top of the overcooked, leathery chicken Parmesan had resolidified. It was also cold. This was a party for my granddaughter who is graduating next year. It was very disappointing. Almost as much food that was served to us was thrown out. On the way back to my motel room, I stopped off and ordered a pizza. My family came from the old country. I was raised on Italian food. I know what Im talking about. Whoever turned in the 4 and 5 stars had to have been drunk or know very little about Italian food.

This place was excellent. Our wait was less than quoted, our service was outstanding and the food was worth every penny and then some. The only category that didn t receive 5 stars is atmosphere because the men s room could use some attention. Do not hesitate to give Cafe Capri a go. You likely won t be disappointed. And if you re looking for a truly special dish, try the Lobster with Italian Sausage as an add on. Our waiter suggested it tonight and it was astounding!!! Well done Cafe Capri. Well done indeed!

My wife and I stopped in at Cafe Capri for lunch while visiting Bryan and it did not disappoint. My wife had the Chicken Caesar Salad which seemed to have fresh ingredients and tasted pretty standard for a salad. I ordered The Lobster pasta dish and it was nothing less than amazing. It seemed that every bite released new and delicious flavors that were very satisfying. The employees and owner made us feel very welcome with their exceptional level of service. We will definitely be back when we are in the Bryan area.

Such an AMAZING place. I was skeptical due to the reviews being a bit lower than I m used to, but they do not deserve any low reviews. 5 stars for everything!!!! First of all, our waiter, Walt, was amazing and gave great recommendations. The cream soda was so delicious. The bread was so airy and light and the mozzarella was like nothing I ve had before. I ordered the tortellini alla capri and my husband ordered the cajun tortellini and we were both deeply impressed. Didn t need any extra cheese or anything. It was perfect! Then, we ended the night with a delicious and indulgent chocolate mousse cake. Definitely will be coming back!!!

We had our wedding rehearsal dinner at Caffe Capris upstairs banquet room with about 40 people and it was perfect! The space, food, and service were exceptional as well as the price. The booking process was simple and Rami and his team were able to accommodate all of our needs. We were able to bring in outside decorations and organize the room as needed. This place is a huge deal for me. I am Italian and we never went out to eat Italian at restaurants. People ask me constantly where I like and recommend. Im born and raised in Katy, TX and lived in B/CS for a few years in my twenties. Now in my thirties, my boyfriend and I were on a day trip to the new animal safari. When it came to deciding what for lunch, i had a massive craving for Italian. When I first found Caffe Capri years ago, it was reminiscent of my familys food. When we arrived, the wonderful atmosphere of home hugged me. When we ate our lunch, I was reminded of how this is hands down by far my favorite place to eat Italian (aside from my moms of course) and probably the only place I would recommend to those who ask me whats good. Had been craving spaghetti and meatballs for some time now. I made an order the gentleman on the phone was very professional, when he took my order and when I paid. Now the food, must say I was very disappointed. The spaghetti was a little sticky and very dry. I dont know if its a personal preference but I love my spaghetti covered in sauce!I have never eaten inside before so I hope they serve it better while dining in. We went here for our 50th Anniversary dinner. I had dropped off some roses and a card for my wife the night before. They had these items on our table when we arrived (with candles). Our server was very nice and attentive. My wife loves Italian food, me not so much (I am diabetic). We had a nice dinner and went on our way. We would suggest this establishment. Caffé Capri is a cute little restaurant in Downtown Bryan with a cozy feel to it, which I would definitely recommend families to try out with their kids. Definitely hits the authentic Italian taste with their pasta dishes. During peak hours (weekends and typical lunch hours) there can be a wait time, so I would recommend going on their waitlist. Kid-friendliness: With a specialized menu just for kids, this restaurant is perfect for families with young kids (especially picky eaters ). I would take the kids I babysit to eat here and they always cleared their plates. Plus, the kids menu is hilarious to read.

This place has awesome italian food and a great ambiance, you can never stop finding things to look at while youre inside. Its got a great vibe for a date or catching up with friends. The staff are always attentive and super friendly, and the manager definitely works extremely hard to make everything run smoothly. Their bread is awesome, and we love to finish our meals with a slice of their chocolate pie (I think its a mousse pie?). The one hiccup I will say is that on the last three occasions weve gone, we were told it would be a 30-40 minute wait, and then we ended up having to wait for well over an hour. Staff seem really afraid of complaining customers or maybe getting in trouble for people taking themselves off the wait list, so they try to make it seem as if youll get in on a doable time frame, but on our end its 0/3 on getting in within the estimated wait time. They may need to readjust how they frame their wait times so people can truly choose whether or not they want to wait that long.

Very good place if you order the right things! It gets busy so I recommend coming early to get on the waitlist, then exploring downtown Bryan while waiting. The pasta dishes are absolutely amazing - I loved the tortellini all s capri. Their pasta and sauces tasted authentic and one of a kind in the area. I wouldn t recommend appetizers, as they are quite small, and the main dishes are more than enough. I would also recommend the raspberry cream soda if you have a sweet tooth. Always great food and drinks. I have tried several dishes over the years and everything has always been good. Didnt think to take pictures. Maybe next time. Parking: Parking is sometimes difficult directly in front of the restaurant. But you can locate a space and walk just a bit. Wheelchair accessibility: The restaurant is only wheelchair accessible on the ground floor. So, if you use the private dining area upstairs, there is not an elevator and your loved ones with difficulty in mobility may not be able to join you. However, the staff will accommodate them downstairs and try to make it as special as possible for them.

Shared a belated Valentines dinner here around 5:30pm. Atmosphere was lowkey and charming, within the hour more customers shuffled in to fill out the space. The Lobster was a great call. Our waitress Mikayla(?) is very good and made the experience even better. We will be returning for sure.

Downtown Bryan, Texas is a must see whenever you visit Texas A & M. It is quaint and charming. In the middle of downtown is Caffe Capri, a charming, clean, and inviting Italian restaurant. The service was the best combination of attentive, responsive, and knowledgeable. The food was amazing. I had the chicken parm which was far from ordinary. The chicken was grilled then baked to retain its moisture and tenderness. The sauce was on point. Everyone enjoyed their meals. We will be back, the next trip to TAMU!

We have eaten here before and loved it. Had Cajan Tortellini---melted in your mouth. DELICIOUS!!!! We were on a time restraint, our waitress was excellent took our orders and in no time it was on the table. From out of town but will continue coming back every chance we get.

Started out with calamari which was good. Good portion. Not enough sauce. Our bread unfortunately was hard besides 1 piece. Love the face that comes with it. Ordered sons Alfredo before ours so it would come out first. It didn t. Our food was good. Mine was slightly cold but it was still good. The kids Alfredo was good. The sauce is just runny so it all sits on the bottom instead of on the pasta. The Cajun Alfredo has good flavor but was over baring with some spice I couldn t pin point. Maybe oregano ? The service was ok. She was nice. We enjoyed it and most likely will be back in the future.

Went to this place given that the reviews were good and pictures looked great. First of all we waited a while to get asked for drinks , we ordered the cheese bread for appetizer it was extremely bland so we ordered a side of Alfredo sauce, it was so watery and so bland. Our food came in and this has to be one of the worst pastas I ve had. Food had no taste at all not even like salt and pepper LOL the management of this place cannot handle criticism at all. I won t recommend this place to anyone.

Caffé Capri is a great place to eat if youre looking for authentic Italian food to eat... The service was just awesome.. 5 + .I love that the owner comes and talks to you and engages in a conversation with the customers ( dont see that anymore) so for that I give him 5 also... I met my husband of 16 years at caffe capri! we went back to visit when in town for the Aggie game. The atmosphere was romantic and sweet and the service was absolutely incredible from start to finish. The food was piping hot and fresh and the dessert was delectable! Would recommend this wonderful establishment to anyone!

Very disappointed with Cafe Capri, we were a party of 6, everyone was excited to eat, the food was served refrigerator cold, my chicken was frozen. The waitress being very nice had to warm the plates up individually. Some ate it cold as it took to long to warm every plate. Angel Hair Pasta was asked for on one plate it was regular cold spaghetti, with olive oil & garlic on it. The Manager acted as if nothing happened. Im assuming the food is made one day, refrigerated, & re-warmed. Which I understand times are hard. But a restaurant is supposed to prepare your food fresh & hot. You might as well stay home and prepare the food yourself. It was a very special Ladys Birthday. She didnt even get a free dessert

Excellent service from the young man whose name has, unfortunately, slipped my mind. We came in yesterday during lunch, and I ve never seen a bigger sandwich. I had to give half to my partner, but the quality was excellent. We will be becoming regular lunch diners for sure. I love the aesthetic, and it s so reasonable. Perfect summer food. If I were to change one thing, it would be to clearly mark which items are vegetarian, as that caused a little confusion. This was ably resolved by our excellent server.

This is the absolute best Italian Ive had in a long long time!! One side of my family is Italian and I am usually very critical of Italian restaurants. My family and I loved the food and the atmosphere here. The owner is very friendly and engaging with his staff and customers. The staff is very friendly too. If I lived in this area this would be my favorite restaurant! The Cajun cream sauce is my absolute favorite! The meal is started with some delicious fresh baked bread and an oil and vinegar plate for dipping. Dont forget to try their cheese topped garlic bread. I will definitely make it back here before we leave to drive home. Im excited to try their fried calamari.

Ordered the Chicken Parm and do not regret it! So delicious. Loved the red sauce. My partner got the Key West and I liked it, but liked the Chicken Parm more. My friend got the lobster and noodles and liked his dish. The complimentary bread was nice. Overall had a good experience and I enjoyed reading the story about the place on the menu
