What a lovely coffee (and bar) shop. We went in to grab a coffee. We wanted to try a new café and stumbled upon Turnstile. It is also a bar and serves alcohol for those interested in grabbing a drink before heading to an FC game. Parking and accessibility: it has a bit of parking, and is wheelchair accessible. There s also a drive-thru for those who prefer to take their order to-go Coffee: what a delightful coffee! My partner also said that it was the best iced latte he d ever had (he added a vanilla shot fyi). As for me, I m happy to say that the oat milk in my latte did not overpower my coffee, and I really enjoyed their coffee. Service: the barista is SO welcoming. I honestly felt like this was an inclusive establishment. Even watching the way he pays attention to his customers in line and seated, making sure that even though he is with another customer to let them know that he sees them and will get to them asap. I also loved how he made sure the coffee wasn t just poured onto the ice, but shaken first and cooled before pouring it into the iced cup. Price: the coffee wasn t overpriced like some of those artisanal coffee shops. You re not paying for the theatrics of making the coffee and the frills; you re paying for the actual coffee and the wonderful service. Definitely giving this place a 5/5 for its coffee and service. It hasn t been easy finding good coffee in Austin. Check out Turnstile the next time you re driving on Burnett towards The Domain.

Great FAST service for food and drinks! Good coffee, wide beer selection and fun cocktails. I stopped by today for a latte and tried their special the PFunk burger! Delicious! Pimento cheese, jalapenos, ritz crackers, well built burgers that stays together and you get a little bit of everything in each bite. Love this spot and will keep coming back. Thanks Turnstile!

10 stars for Matt, who works mornings and who is super professional and friendly. Not so impressed with the lady who tends the evening bar. She doesn t treat everyone the same and doesn t display good manners. How about acknowledging clients ( Hi, Thanks, Good night )? Also, the prices recently disappeared from the boards. I know that a few other coffee/bars do it too, but it s not a reason to follow this awful practice

Their cocktail menu is superb and they even have a coffee program for when you need some caffeine. You can order food from next door and it ll be brought liver to you. They ve got a large, dog-friendly patio that is nicely shaded and has fans. They have great WiFi as well if you re hoping to get some work done!

Absurd rules. No laptops on the bar after 4pm when theres only 1 other customer inside. Also overheard another guy turned down for a pitcher because its Sunday. I get the reasoning behind the no laptop rule (social bar), but you have the opposite effect when no one else is in the building.

I came to this place on March 29th for lunch and a drink with a friend. I asked the waiter for ketchup for my fries and he proceeded to grab the ketchup that was sitting in his own personal basket of fries and gave it to me! (The ketchup comes in those little solo containers you get when you order to go meals.) He had been eating fries at the bar a few minutes before. I asked him for a fresh one, and he said, I didnt open it. Its unused. So I told him I would like a fresh one that was not sitting in his fry basket. He was very frustrated and went to the kitchen outside to grab one. This is disgusting, and I have never had a waiter grab something from their own personal plate to give to me. Needless to say I will never be coming back.

It was literally 559pm and we re never been there before, a better customer service experience would be to educate us that the kitchen closes at 6pm, just so you know for future it s about 6pm now I ll put it in but just for future reference. Turnstile is a hidden gem for the Church of Beer! The beer list, though not extensive, is impressive, and the option for small beers allows for delightful variety. The menu offers delicious burgers, complementing the excellent brews. The outdoor setup is perfect for dog lovers, and the vibe is pure joy, unmarred by unattended children or ill-behaved heathens. Once inside, the friendly and helpful service compensates, though they could use more staff for quicker service. Despite this, Turnstile is a divine spot for beer enthusiasts seeking a laid-back atmosphere and flavorful experiences. Cheers to Turnstile!

It s very rare that I feel the need to leave a negative review anywhere however I walked into this establishment at 11:05 pm to order a *coffee* and the barista/bartender (blonde gal) looked at me & didn t say anything but stared to which I said oh I m just looking and she responded incredibly rudely by stating mmkay because it s about to be last call to which I replied right but I m ordering a coffee, not alcohol . She proceeded to give another look and walk away. This unfortunate circumstance could ve gone in a completely different direction, but too little too late, regrettably. It s disappointing not only because of the condescending behavior but because I ve always heard good things about Turnstile. Make sure if you want to get a coffee you make it in at least 2 hours prior ;)

I love this place. I ve been coming here for years and the morning crew is great, I love seeing Matt. But the evening blond bartender is not so great. My sister and I split the bill on food and drinks so that they were on different tabs. My sister got the food and it was $40, which was all she had. She couldn t tip. To which the bartender says in a condescending voice, Thanks! Mind you, I have a separate tab for the drinks which will be tipping. We went outside to grab a table and waiting for about five minutes since there were other customers in line. I went back inside and she hadn t started our drinks whatsoever. She waited for me to come back inside to start them, to which she just put down on the counter and walked away. Oh, she did say the tea was hot but that was it. It felt incredibly condescending and rude that she treated us this way because we didn t tip the food order, even though the drink order is tipped.

Horrible food. If a pub/coffee house advertises itself as a having burgers (like 8 kinds) taking up half the menu and charge $16 (ala cart- no fries/chips/anything included)- THE CHEF SHOULD KNOW HOW TO COOK A BURGER. Ordered med-well came out almost rare. Giving benefit of doubt we ordered a replacement, this time well done and it still came out rare. Plus we had to ask multiple times for condiments. HORRIBLE!!! The only redeeming factor was the decent beer selection.

They have tacos, and you can order burgers in the afternoon. Great relaxing spot with indoor and outdoor seating and televisions.

Recommendation: Vanilla Oatmilk Lattes, The Standard (burger) Vegan / Vegetarian: Oat and Almond milks, Beyond Burgers, hummus platter (w/ crudite) How do you make iced matcha lattes like that and why do I always want more than 1 glass?! Just plain dangerous. My #1 Austin coffee spot. So I am a regular. I enjoy the lattes, food, atmosphere, and just having a chat with the mixologists here. Their syrups are house-made and usually some mystery syrup that never disappoints. Theres always interesting and theme appropriate music blasting here. Inside isnt pretentious and is humble in size. Nice place for a small meetup or hangout, even on a rainy day. Best burger in the area. Better than that local chain down the street for sure (x10!!). Aioli is fantastic and their fries are addictive!! Just happy for a beyond burger patty. A little pout for the up-charge on that. My Lelit Elizabeth (machine) EATS the beans here, so this is my regular bean supplier as well. Theyre so smooth, unflavored, and make quite a creamy shot. Vegetarian options: Beyond Burgers, Oat and Almond milks. All good.

This is a very cute hangout with friendly staff, good drinks and a good food menu. The patio as well as the indoors seating are quite lovely.

The Platonic ideal of a neighborhood bar. Fantastic curated beer selection and wonderful bartenders. Looking for a burger or pimiento cheese? This is the place. Dont sleep on the fries! Every time we go we get to try new beers - and they always have great, tasty options.

First and probably last time in today. I was supposed to meet my husband here for coffee and lunch today for something new but took my bev to go and chose a different place for our afternoon rendezvous. The atmosphere was good but my tea was nothing special. The girl behind the counter was much friendlier with and helpful to the white male regulars. Apparently welcome in, youre welcome, and other common courtesies in response to thank you, excuse me can you... and standing at the counter / entering the door is reserved for them.

A really cool beer bar. Great tap list and great whiskey/bourbon list. Cool 90s influenced playlist. Good vibes. I came in for an afternoon beer, will come back for coffee, and burgers another time.

Went here on a Friday to work and they had consistent WiFi . Gets pretty crowded soon and we sat outside in the patio . It was pretty hot and it felt a bit uncomfortable but they had fans outside which made the heat bearable . Ordered the red lentil hummus and we thought it was pretty good . The garlic fries however were good initially but got oily and soggy once they cooled down . The drinks were okay but very pricey. Front porch lemonade was yummy but the aviation drink was watered down a bit . Overall a good place to hang out during weekdays to work for a snack or two and a drink .

Excellent spot, the outdoor seating is rough during this heatwave, so youre gonna be crowding the indoor space until the sun isnt as direct. Food is excellent, coffee is excellent, the atmosphere is nice and calm, no loud tvs, although sports channels were on while I was in there. Its a constant murmur as everyone eats and drinks and does their thing.

A PERFECT CAPPUCCINO AND MORE! Recently, I craved a good cappuccino at 9pm. My wife commented I think most of the coffee shops open at this time won t have a good quality Today, I stumbled upon Turnstile, which is open till midnight and their cappuccino blew my mind! The taste, texture, and quality of the beans were fantastic. Moreover, it had an excellent indoor space for work, a relaxing outdoor area to hang out, and a vibrant bar. Im definitely becoming a regular customer.

Edit: After being here on multiple occasions recently, the quality has tanked consistently each time. Please do better than serving hummus and a loose blue cheese dip without pita bread and solely vegetables not typically eaten with either. Its one thing to fuse different cultural foods, but this was sheer laziness. I was offered a spoon to eat the dipping sauces before I suggested Ritz crackers. The drinks have severely tanked as well. And at nearly $20 a drink, I expect better. Service also hasnt been nearly as friendly as previously. Its honestly somewhat baffling. Previous review: Couldnt eat because the restaurant side was closed but the coffee cocktail was delicious and the atmosphere is nice.
