Our server, D, was delightful and friendly. Great sense of humor. The fries were, no exaggeration, the best Ive ever had. Would definitely come back. The burgers are delicious and come in a perfect sized serving to fill you up; you might for sure need a carryout box. Atmosphere was calm and friendly.

The bartender tried to start something with me by saying I was staring at him. So weird. Went inside to to talk to the manager and he was inside telling the staff this. Again so weird. Yeah people look at you if you re waiting on them. I just needed some ketchup? Regular customer for years, but not anymore. This made it seem uncomfortable.UPDATE. Thought I d give them another chance since been going here so long. 9/23/24, Monday night at 7pm, 2 employees by the barn sitting , 3 employees behind the bar sitting, one as actually knitting? Couldn t make an old fashioned sweet, said no one orders that drink, ordered a honey bacon burger (only request was crsispy bacon) couldn t do it. This is why restaurants going out of business. They want $32 plus tip and don t even care what you ask for. I should have just gone to burger boy for $8.

I did not take pics! My friend & I shared a basket of fried pickles that couldve easily been shared by 4 people. We each ordered 3 of the speciality burger sliders & a side. Absolutely delicious. The portion was enormous. Burgers were uniquely crafted, full of flavor, fresh ingredients & temperature hot. Thank you! Well be back!

This place has the best selection of burgers that I ve seen in San Antonio. Very imaginative and for the price, it s a great value. The waitstaff isn t very attentive, but they do take care of you when you ask them for something. I think the only thing that I don t like is that it s a lot of open air seating and nothing is really done to control the flies.

The prices are very inflated. Not many customers, so U pay extra for all the empty space. Nice, shaded courtyard with misters and fans, but with 107 degrees outside, its still a no-go for the patio. The indoor seating is a wooden bench and small chairs. The staff is fine, food is okay but too many fried foods, no fresh vegetables and about 4-5 choices of medium salads. I paid 22 dollars for a salad and unsweet tea, including my tip. Thats too much when you can go elsewhere for 12 - 15 dollars. Their parking lot is also very small for the amount of tables (counting the outdoor spaces) that would need parking at full capacity.

Hands down my favorite burger place, make sure I visit any time Im in the area. Get there early, order your 3 favorite mini-Tykes and youre guaranteed to have a great time. Service is great. Fast, attentive, etc. Some of the food is good. The onion rings are absolutely phenomenal, and the fries are great. That said, the signature garlic burger was so disappointing that Im wondering if I happen to be the unlucky customer who got the order they really just dropped the ball on. The burger arrived with the cheese on the side (Sad, half melted, and hanging off the plate onto the table), with tomatoes which I had asked to hold. The lettuce was loaded with mayo, which isnt mentioned on the menu. The garlic sauce was only on half the meat, and had mostly rolled off the side of the burger into a sloppy mess on the plate. So, I got a new bottom bun without mayo, spread what sauce I could, and tried the burger. Buns are good, what sauce I could get on there was good, but the meat was meh. It was unevenly cooked, being unusually pink on one side, and well done on the other. The flavor wasnt really noteworthy in any way. I ate probably 80% of it, but it wasnt really appetizing enough to finish off. Ill probably give them a second chance since this felt like a rare miss from the kitchen, but seems odd to whiff so badly on a staple item.

Tycoon Flats is still a fun and festive spot for Trinity students and alumni. Their bean burger and sweet potato fries are as delicious as they were in the late 90s. Besides a small air conditioned dining room with several tables, Flats has a huge shaded back patio and rear bar. Their menu has grown but it hasnt diluted the quality.

Recently stopped by and got the fried pickles and Avacado Bacon Cheese Burger with fries and a margarita. The fried pickles and drinks were on point. The burger overall was good but a little too much and too big of slices of avocado to where you couldn t taste anything else on the burger. I wouldn t get it again. The atmosphere was great and the service was fast. One of the owners I believe his name was Malcom was walking around table to table making sure everyone was good and even gave some history of the restaurant and its location. I ll definitely be back. Wow wow wow wow what a place. We came in and at first didnt look super intriguing. We walked around and wow what an amzing outside set up. It is amazing lights, fans, plants, and even a live band. I will definitely make another trip to this amazing restaurant. We ordered 2 of the mini tykes thats 3 mi I burger they were pineapple Bacon Burger, Benedict Burger, feta Cranberry CA died Backon Burger, Rosted Garlic Burger, Monte Cristo Burger, and Jalapeño Bacon 50s Style CheeseBurger. My dad has been coming here his entire life, he took me and my siblings here at least once a month. I feel like Tycoon Flats has seen me grow up. I had my first margarita here. If I could rate this place 0 stars I would. servers were rude and I was waiting for 15 minutes for my beer. when my burger finally came out, I took a big bite and was horrified to pull a hair out of my mouth. This is the only place to get a delivery burger. They package the patties separately, so the bun and toppings arrive fresh. They nail the meat temperature every time. Great atmosphere, good food and drinks! Staff was very attentive and friendly eventhough we got there an hour before closing and were there a few minutes past closing time. I got two vanilla thrillers and a 50s style jalapeno bacon cheese burger plus an order of chips and salsa and the total came up to about 44 dollars before tip. It was a little pricey but I didnt mind considering the location. I love that they have their own free parking lot for customers so it saves time. Woe! What amazing burgers. The flavors that come out and speak on these plates as they are served. This is our second visit. I had to come back because I totally was so engrossed in the food that I completely forgot to take pics. The second visit is even as amazing as the first! This is one of the amazing places that when someone comes from out of town, and they want a unique burger, this is the place! The best part is a burger flight!! We did that last time and again this time. Different burgers each time. A flcouple really stood out to me on flavors. Monte Cristo burger and the Feta Bacon Cranberry were my favorites. Do not discredit the Blue Bacon Balsamic it was up there in the top 5! Atmosphere is fun!! Wait staff are sweet and had no problems answering questions. The outside patio was cool enough to dine on this Fiesta weekend (April). Bathrooms were on the patio and clean! Full bar, Coke products, no coke zero, diet coke only. We will definitely return! I cant believe I have lived in San Antonio since 2004 and this was my second visit here.

Not far from the River Walk and the Pearl, this restaurant offers onsite parking. Its main attraction is a large patio with open bar seating. The menu features a huge selection of burgers, including some unconventional choices. Additionally, there s a nice variety of cocktails available. The service is great, and the ambiance is fun. My company just moved down by the Pearl, and it was my turn to pick where we ordered lunch from today. I said Tycoon Flats, as I wanted to introduce a couple of my coworkers to this place, as they had never eaten there. (St.Marys Location) I havent been there in a long time, and I will more than likely not be going back. Let me just say that for what we paid, we were not impressed at all, and I dont think any of us became fans of Tycoon Flats today. I ordered a burger, medium well and it was very pink in the center, and the lettuce (supposed to be my lettuce wrap) was discarded in the trash, because it was brown and old. The tomatoes were in NO way cut today, as they were slimy and almost translucent. I ordered a salad in place of the fries, and was happy to pay the upcharge of $2.00. I received a scoop of old lettuce and two more slimy tomato slices. I am assuming this sad excuse was my salad, and didnt receive any dressing, that I requested. My coworker ordered a bean burger, that was missing one of the main ingredients - Flats Salsa. Other than that, we received ample silverware and condiments, but what a waste of $95.00. There are TOO many other good burger joints in this area. You can do better Tycoon Flats. What a HUGE disappointment.

Feta, cranberry, candied bacon burger is an absolute winner. Recommend the Elevated margarita for an extra few cents over the traditional one. Everything was delicious. If we lived in SA I d be here multiple times a month and it would be scary for my waistline.

Awesome place! The variety of burgers had me undecided. I went with the Aussie Burger. The fried mushrooms are delicious! Parking: It was busy last night around 7:15 pm. Had to pay for parking across the street from the restaurant. It was $12. total, including tax and a vendors fee. I recommend going earlier to get parking in the restaurant parking lot. Still had a great time with friends.

food was great service was iffy. I never got a refill for my sweet tea the whole time i was there and they put cheese on my brothers burger. When ordered we asked for no cheese no problem. Atmosphere was great. Drinks were good overall would go back again. Parking: they have a parking lot right behind the restaurant and then there s a parking lot to the left behind another building overall plenty parking.

A delicious experience sitting outside with some of the most creative sliders Ive seen!! The variety is incredible, And whats cool for this casual looking place is everything is made from scratch, the sauces, the desserts, and especially the food including the burgers. I always come here and havent had a full problem until today. Not only did it take about 15 minutes for the waiter to give us water and order but then they disappeared. We had to hear from another table that their food time was about a 45 minute. I dont get why they dont warn people about the tim3 before sitting.

I wanted to enjoy some food and adult beverages on a patio. Tycoon flats was perfect for all these points. Our server was amazing - so attentive and friendly. The owner also stopped by to introduce himself and stayed busy talking to customers and clearing tables. They have a good beer menu and tasty shakes. For food, we ordered chips and queso (just okay) then each ordered a different burger for dinner. Our burgers were all actually cooked perfectly. Everything we ordered came out really fast. The patio is amazing- lots of space, lots of shade, and lots of fans.

A fabulous patio on a perfect weather day. This was a favorite for my college roommate, so I stopped in while I was in town. I got a margarita and a Mexican burger with onion rings. The burger was good, nothing out of the ordinary, but I appreciated that they could make it with a third pound of beef instead of a half pound. Now, the onion rings? They are out-of-this-world delicious. Red onions in a really crispy batter thats not super greasy. Served with a sauce that I dont know what they put in it but its so so so good. The frozen margarita is very good and typical for San Antonio. I wouldnt expect anything less. We cant get these in Minnesota. I dont know what it is about them, but most places in SA do these super-limey, margarita machine recipes that taste great. The one here was really good. Enjoyed it!

My first time there. Will return. Great food !!! Great service! I had tortilla soup and fish taco lunch special. Delicious! Friends had tyke burger and salad. But the business needs people to return. Road construction is done! Crowds that stayed away cause of all the previous road construction need to come back. I was able to park on the street in front for lunch. Plus ample parking in back.

We had a group for an informal lunch meeting. The place was busy, and we were able to choose a table in a less noisy area. Service was prompt and courteous (Nikolas), and the menu was unique. Many ways to construct a burger or other sandwich. It was my first time to visit, and I am glad I did.
