Man, I came back here like 3 or 4 times all in one day/night. The people were all friendly and would talk to you, the drinks were plenty and cheap, with a pretty decent variety, and the atmosphere is pretty awesome and stylish. The food is good too, its on the back restaurant kind of like its own separate thing. Theyve good pool on the upper floor and a nice outside spot in the back to get away from the noise or smoke.

Its dark, shady and even a little sketchy, but by FAR the best burger around. I mean, BEST BEST. Service goes smoothly, just follow the clearly outlined directions. Easy peasy. I think they changed the fries, I remember them being fresh cut before, but theyre still ok. Great late night option. We walked over after leaving the Elephant Room. Parking: Its 6th street. Theres no parking right in front, and thats the norm in this area

Kitchen staff give you no love, but thats because they save it all for the food. Get the one with the pork belly. FIRE. Also I ordered a cosmopolitan, i figured it would come in a plastic cup. WRONG. They had a cocktail glass and everything and it was one of the BEST cosmopolitans I have ever had. Who knew all cosmos needed to elevate them, was some cherries in it. Forever game changed. Apparently it was the tenders first time making one, he basically lied upfront and said he was a pro, it was his first time hahahah. Guy is a natural. LOVE this iconic bar. If youre in Austin and want to stay away from the kids on 6th, head here.

My husband and I were looking for a place where we felt at home. This was the place. Dive bar feel with amazing burgers and service. Shout out to our bartenders Frap and Eric with a C made us feel like regulars. If we find ourselves in Austin again we will be back.

Service on a Sunday afternoon was pretty good. Food is made fresh, and the burgers are worth the hype. Pretty fairly prices food, my girl and I had 3 items totaling 37$ before tip. Atmosphere could be better, but it s officially a bar, everything in here is dark and somewhat goth or metal themed. I would certainly back again, the decor wouldn t keep me away, nor should other people avoid it for the dive-bar style they are known for. Kid-friendliness: It s an age-restricted bar, 21+.

Used to love this place. Amazing food kitchen open till 1am. Recently the cook were PISSED that anyone had the audacity to order food at w 10pm so wasn t even near closing? After hearing from a bartender at another place I wanted to check it out. I looked at reviews, knew what to expect and the place is how it was described. I liked the vibe here. Loud music, cool wall hangings. I ordered a beer and the staff told me how the food ordering works. I got the Chicago burger and fries. The burger was made just how the menu describes it, medium. This isnt my type of bar, thus the mid score for atmosphere. I went for the food. Burgers were BIG! I had the Pitts burger, which is a burger with a generous serving of sauteed onions and mushrooms. It had a niced sweetness and acidity to it, which reminded me of balsamic vinegar. I also tried the Verde chili fries, which is fries with queso and salsa Verde. The cheese was a basic queso, but the salsa Verde was excellent. I would visit here again to try some of the other offerings.

I felt uncomfortable from the moment I walked in. The atmosphere was dark and dirty. The napkins on the table were dirty, demons everywhere, the tv had strippers playing and getting murdered. The soda was tasteless, almost watered down I would say. We ordered chili cheese fries and a chili cheese dog that was NOT chili but a pile of what looked liked dog food dumped on top (so gross). This bar is the last good bar in downtown austin. It has cool music cool atmosphere and cool bartenders and is a great place to hang out where I can see old friends from 10 or 20 years ago. This is a rock and roll bar but its open to everybody and everybody is welcome here in the bartenders are really nice and pretty good about giving you drinks quickly. They do have food which is really nice about this place and the food is really fantastic the burgers are great the sandwiches are great and the wings are my favorite I really like the hot wings because they have just the right amount of heat

Went in and didnt even get food. The place is set up poorly and looks like a dive. Irrelevant if that was on purpose or not. Walking in it does not make sense what you should do to get food and when I asked I received a rude response. The people next door are much more pleasant. Thankfully somewhere in Austin still has that dive bar feel! Hands down the BEST BURGERS around, even if I have to walk down dirty sixth to get it I would not call this a restaurant vibe- its an awesome bar with amazing food that has seating. Youll order in the back and you can open a tab either at the bar or at the kitchen and when your food is ready theyll call your name over the speakers. I get the KC burger Highly recommend. 10/10 Parking: Do NOT try to park there on weekends- please remember 6th Street is closed to traffic. Park nearby using street parking (I recommend using the park ATX app) and head towards sixth... Youll earn your burger!

The burgers, which are usually juicy and flavorful, were overcooked and lacked the expected tenderness. Voided order and walked out. Unreal Ordered three burgers and chili fries at the window on Tuesday 5/28 at 3:00 pm. Two men were working there. The one who took our order and swiped the credit card brought the receipt, put it down, and said Don t forget to tip. My sister and I thought it was strange and were discussing the tip amount in another language. The way the man said it made us uneasy and we were wondering how much to tip so we don t get tampering with our food. That s when the same man comes over and tells us, 25% is customary. At that point I asked to cancel the order and we are leaving. The man had to call the manager but the manager did not acknowledge us and did not ask any questions before he voided the order, suggesting he is in on the pressure tactic to extort tips. We received confirmation of our voided order and left. Very unprofessional and alarming experience.

Drove all the way from Florence . Picked up a friend in cedar park to go here for a burger . I talked really good about this place especially their burgers the whole way. My husband and I always make a point to stop here when in Austin. I love the atmosphere, I love the hotdogs, and their beer on tap is good too. The only thing I wish they had was a physical beer list so I knew all the cool and local beers they carry instead of just guessing. All in all love this place.

The vibe was extremely dive bar, the service was decent, the music was loud, and honestly not much gets me to go to dirty 6th these days, but I can for the burger and the burger was amazing! There will always be a lot of opinions when discussing the best of anything but when you look for the best burger in Austin, Casino is consistently on the lists. I got the special which had goat cheese and onions I think, the cashier talked me into it and I had no regrets! This burger was massive, I ate half then and half for lunch the next day, and heck it was still tasty cold the next day. One star off just because the bar was dark and grimy, service was mediocre, and they had a small draft beer selection, but hey I didnt visit for the bar.

It was my first time going there and I canceled the order due to my new card acting funny. 3 weeks later I get a 20$ charge when all I ordered was a bbq burger. Like they gave themselves a tip or something strange. I call 7-10 times within 50 minutes and got hung up on twice. Went 40 minutes out my way to drive up there. No real apology or anything towards a concerned customer. Very fraud like activity in my eyes. He basically said if a customer cancels, they still need to be paid even if the food was never made lol. I ve made a BBB complaint about this and I still hope to hear back from their merchant so they can clear up there mess they caused. I will go back up there in one week if no one has reached out to me and document everything. Update number 1: now that I look at the reviews, I m super dumb for even going there lol. I should have just looked first. Not surprised with the customer service after reading DOZENS of bad 1 star reviews.

I know we should have tried the world famous burgers but decided on something different. Tried the Italian Sausage. It was nice and tasty and spicy!!! Wings were ok. Bartender was very friendly. Place was packed and EVERYONE ordered the burgers. The only major disappointment was the cook handling of the food without gloves sorta grossed me out. Touching raw meat, Touching money/credit cards and touching the cooked food ALL with NO GLOVES. Being a previous restaurant owner it just shocked me a bit. And the cook seemed very overwhelmed all by himself with cooking and taking orders. But the burgers did look delicious though!
