My girlfriend and I went to Koriente for dinner and it was delicious, affordable, and healthy. Our meal came with free miso soup (you can get as much as you want) and we each got a tea. Both teas were great, I loved the iced jasmine tea. I ordered the Koriente curry and my girlfriend got the Obake bowl (B). Both portions were very large! My curry was outstanding, it was very flavorful and I especially loved the huge chunks of potato in the curry. My girlfriend s Obake bowl came with rice medallions, veg, and chicken. We both loved the flavor of the Obake bowl and the texture of the rice medallions was awesome. We split a smoked salmon roll and loved it as well. Overall, our food was filling and very tasty, and it all seemed pretty healthy! The staff was great and I highly recommend Koriente!

We came here because the reviews boasted cheap but high quality food. The food isn t bad, but it is not cheap by any means. Gravely disappointed by the bubble tea, which was watery. The steamed veggies could use a little salt or spices cause it was just straight up steamed veggies, but I didn t take any stars off for that. Just took one star off for the price and parking, and the other for the boba. The service was nice and friendly, the bathrooms clean, the restaurant quirky and neat, and the atmosphere was overall great.

Koriente offers a hearty meal with good portions at a reasonable price. The service is friendly, and they provide vegan options, which is a plus for those seeking plant-based meals. The food is healthy, though it lacks the robust flavor I was hoping for, possibly due to the focus on healthier ingredients. For example, the vegan miso soup didnt have enough salt for my taste, and the kimchi was a little bland. Overall, its a decent spot for a wholesome meal without breaking the bank.

Visited yesterday for lunch - such an awesome find: cute vibes, yummy food, lightning fast service! Usually struggle to find good Korean food as a vegetarian, but got the Japchae, Shitake Tofu and Kimchi - all vegetarian, all delicious. Huge portions too, making it pretty affordable. Also liked that they have free vegan miso soup to self-serve. Would definitely recommend!

Stopped by because I was in the area and had never heard of the place. Was honest with staff who aggressively shoved a menu at me that my first priority was to use the bathroom. Was promptly told for paying customers only. I get it, but it was really off putting. This was not even a busy time for this restaurant/part of Austin. There was plenty of open seating. I honestly think the guy up front just saw I wasnt white and assumed I was homeless. Pitiful a native Austinite cant even bother to wander aimlessly in their own town. Guy was kind of rude too when I asked if he was the owner. Long time manager he said with a super fake smile. Sad the owner is supposedly Korean yet there were no Asian people visible- workers or customers. Got an iced coffee and dipped And to top it off, all on a day I just found out my mom has to be placed on hospice. People out there be nice- you never know what others are going through.

The best part of my experience was the big portion size. Many options for healthy meals, and very quick service. I ordered the Japchei, and the taste was decent, maybe a bit plain. Half of an avocado is not worth the $2 add-on. They are very open to modifications. The outdoor seating area is really cozy and hidden from the main road. Order at the counter and seat yourself kind of place.

Koriente provides a product that looks and tastes like it came from a very upscale restaurant. The staff is always helpful with recommendations and suggestions. The bowls that I have had from them have been flavor packed, fairly large in size, and very feeling. They offer an amazing drink selection also. The establishment is fairly small on the inside and reminds me of restaurants you see in Asian countries with the decor selection. After eating at Koriente, I always feel like I did my body a huge favor by giving it something really healthy. The parking lot can be a little sketchy at night, and you do have to pay for parking. Koriente is a must try if you are a fan of Asian cuisine.

Nice to find healthy food that isnt laden with oil. The mission of Koriente is to use Asian flavours with good seasoning and light fats, which allows for actual vegetables, proteins and noodles to shine. The teriyaki chicken was highly suspect and did not taste like it came from a winged animal (if you know what I mean ). It lacked flavor and required A LOT of doctoring up. Even still, I could not get past the odd texture. The service was mediocre at best. Judging by the appearance of the staff, I can t help but conclude that the selection came down to who deserved a second chance at life if you know what I mean .(insert raised eyebrow emoji) LOL! The food here is delicious. I was in Austin for a conference, recently, and this restaurant was within walking distance of the convention center. I had the Pan-Seared Ahi Tuna (cooked medium at an employees suggestion even though I normally eat it rare), miso soup, and peach ginger tea. They give great portions and the food was delicious (I didnt take a picture before I dug in, unfortunately). I was also eyeing the Lemon Pepper Papaya salad, so I decided to go back again the next day. That was my absolute favorite and I added salmon to make it more filling. The restaurant is quaint with indoor and outdoor seating in the heart of the city. The service was great and they gave me a complimentary miso soup the next day, I assume because I either came back two days in a row or because I brought new folks with me the second time. Either way, it was appreciated. If Im ever in Austin again, I will definitely be back.

Really good food, friendly staff and a clean and nice but casual atmosphere. Overall, I really enjoyed the experience but a couple small things kept it from being 5 stars. For one, when dining in the food is still mostly served in to-go containers and second, the rice was not rinsed before cooking so it was clumpy and which is a shame because they have really good rice. Vegetarian options: Many of the dishes come standard as vegetarian and tofu is an option for all meat dishes. Parking: 6 parking spots in the lot and another 6ish nearby. There are only 8 tables, so thats more than enough

Where to begin... My niece and her wife are in town, so figured I would show them around Austin. My nieces wife is vegan, so we always try to find a restaurant that serves vegan dishes and regular. We found this place and we all found something that we could eat. We drive 1 hour to get to Austin and arrive as this restaurant. If was alittle different (no inside seating, clean your own table, etc), but Im not going to knock it for that. What I am going to knock it for is the horrible food they served. The meat was horribly dry on all our dishes. I ate a few bites and had to throw it away. My niece at a little more on her dish and threw it away. Her wife at ALOT of her dish, but she refuses to waste. About 10-15 minutes after eating there, all of us got sick. Lucky for me, I get over sickness real quick, but my nieces wife does not. She was sick the rest of the night and the next day. I DO NOT recommend eating at this place unless you like dry food and stomach illness. Stay away.

Absolutely NOT! I came here with two other people and we all got so sick within minutes of eating here. The meat was dry, and the food was overly salty, I couldn t even finish my food. My wife who is vegan was sick for an entire day. I really believe cross contamination was involved, but I cannot say for sure. Also, in the brutal Texas heat, there is no indoor seating. I do not recommend this place for anyone who is looking for a good meal. I do recommend it for those with low blood pressure, as the amount of salt will surly fix that for you.

You can choose to eat out in the scorching sun in 100 degree weather on their back patio with a fan that blows hot air into your face. The quality of the food has definitely declined. Wow. Just wow. An amazing experience with great food and a great atmosphere. This would probably be my number one recommendation for dinner at Austin. Extremely cheap for fresh and tasty food. I got the Bi Bim Bop with mild chicken and half rice/ half noodles which I would say is the most worth it item purely based on the quantity of food. It s pictured in the circular bowl. We also got miso soup which was pretty good and cheap. We also got boba which was really delicious. It was better than many of the boba shops I ve been to. My girlfriend got the Shiitake Tofu which she loved. Based off of everything I ve described to you how much would you assume this would cost: 2 appetizers, boba, and two large entrees. Everything combined was 38.00. Also something else to appreciate was the website. As someone who likes to see other people s feedback, the customer rating next to each dish really helped in my decision making. Simply put, it is probably the best restaurant experience I ve ever had. It is a must for anyone looking for good and cheap Pan-Asian food in Austin.

Wow talk about going 2 years back in time. Really no indoor dining on a 92 degree day. We really are still afraid of Covid??? Come on man really??? Walked in and walked out. I looked up sushi they had like 2 sushi rolls. Wasted my time. I will note the staff were very kind and I hate leaving bad reviews but lets follow the science and not be so liberal we lose our intelligence.

Would have been more stars for the food that used to be there and good times...The staff were rude and wouldnt let me order for my husband who was parking the car. He was snarky and asked if one of the people on the patio was him, I said no, i just said he is parking the car across the street and then ge just stared at me. He was rude and the place looks like a death rattle now, probably partly from the snarky responses from the owner Im seeing to reviews here. Cringe. Good luck to chasing off customers whove been fans since you opened. Its a shame, really disappointed your staff acts the way they do now.

1st time here and it was a big dissapointment. #1. Overly salty chicken, vegetables super bland. Food came out hot and pretty quick 1 star there - but overall the food remindes of when I didnt know how to cook and was first learning how to cook in my late teens. Nothing special. - Sorry but Koriente is for the Austinees that have no clue what good nutritious healthy food is suppose to taste like. it just was not enjoyable. 2nd star for good service. -- I do not recommend

I felt that the dishes were worth the piece and they were a great mix of being unique and great tasting. I wish I could sit inside but I understand that every restaurant has its way of doing things. Please clean the tables for your customers outside as it s limited seating. The parking is an issue and you want to keep your car in vision in the area. Overall, it is a good place to pick up a quick lunch if you are in downtown!

I love their food. It s such a treat for a healthy diet. People there are helpful and friendly, too. The minus one star goes to its location. Finding parking is difficult, and I feel unsafe walking around that area at night.

I decided to try this place out for the first time due to the raving reviews! I ended up getting the spicy chicken bowl. The amount you get for what you pay for is great. However, the spicy chicken I got was overcooked and very dry. This place is definitely on the healthier side.

Staff is friendly, food is tasty but I didn t like two things. First things is protein balance is low for chicken. Second is the place. We went there to spent our time and the place was not nice. It was like messy room and we ate the meal on plastic things. Its not nice.

The service was wonderful but the mango milk tea boba was not at all what I expected. It felt more like a fruit purée than milk tea, and there were such few tapioca pearls in the tea.

Sometimes the best places to eat are the hardest places to find! When we first went to Koriente, it took us a moment to find the restaurant, but it was all so worth it! The food is amazing and so affordable! The curry, japchai, and spicy chicken dishes were delicious! If you are in downtown Austin looking for a diverse variety of asian dishes, then please try out this place!

The two stars are for the service which was great, friendly helpful employees. Alas the food was awful, the spicy chicken bowl was flavor less had heat but tasted like nothing. The curry tasted of raw turmeric. Everything tasted aggressively healthy in a way that seemed detrimental to taste.

Despite, or perhaps because of, the tiny interior space, there is no inside seated dining and all on-site dining is outside. They are still doing counter service only for to-go or dining on their back patio. However, the food is very good and the process reasonable.

Usually get mild chicken and egg added. Bubble tea was good too. Has helped me lost weight post the holidays, still very filling

The flavours are bland, but enjoyable if you re on a healthy diet. Only thing is that the meat and vegetables side was a little saltier to my taste.

Food quality awesome. Customer service TERRIBLE. Gone several times before, first time walking away without ordering. Stood in line to order, employee at counter asked if had a To-go order or placing a regular order. We said, placing order, was told, It will be a while before I get to you, but with sass in the tone. We were okay with it at first. We stood aside to await To-go order to be addressed, but the employee allowed four people that were behind us to check out their To-go orders first before considering our order. We found that extremely disrespectful and will not go back again because of this experience. Really disappointed.....
