As soon as I stepped in, I was greeted by the look of disgust that made me feel that my ethnicity was not welcome. I instantly knew that the food was going to truly authentic with the full on Italian experience. The food did not disappoint. Get the cheese bread with red sauce as appetizer! It is phenomenal. The salmon dish was fantastic and portion was huge! The best thing, was the affordable old fashion that they serve with added smoke that could only resemble a def leopard concert. I will definitely come back to enjoy the Italian food here regardless if I feel welcomed or not!

Poor experience. Food tasted under seasoned and was only warm (microwave?). Service should have been exponentially better at that price point. I recommend taking your money to establishments that will work to provide you an enjoyable and unique experience. There are plenty around here; I did not find this to be one of them.

As a visitor from Chicago, I was excited to try Spazo, and overall, it did not disappoint. The atmosphere was warm and inviting, with a charming Italian vibe that made the dining experience enjoyable. I started with the calamari, which was crispy on the outside and tender on the inside just the way I like it. It was seasoned well and came with a delicious dipping sauce that complemented the dish perfectly. For the main course, I ordered the chicken piccata. The flavors were on point the lemon and caper sauce had a nice balance of tanginess and richness. However, I was slightly disappointed that the chicken wasn t as hot and fresh as I would have liked; it arrived at the table a bit cooler than expected. This took away from what could have been an outstanding dish. Despite that, the service was attentive and friendly, which made up for the minor setback with the food temperature. I would definitely return to Spazo, hoping for a consistently hot and fresh experience next time. It s a solid choice for Italian cuisine, especially if you re in the mood for authentic flavors in a cozy setting.

There was only 1 couple dining in the restaurant on a Saturday evening. That says a lot. I wanted lasagna and chicken alfredo, so I ordered from kids menu which the only difference should be the portion size. The chicken Alfredo did not have any taste of butter or fresh Parmesan cheese. It had a weird consistency and was slightly orange looking in color. It was flavorless and the chicken seemed boiled with a weird texture. The noodles were overcooked and would split when trying to wrap around fork. The lasagna had a very loose sauce and no real form for lasagna. It seemed as if noodles were laid on pool of sauce and a scoop of meat was then placed on top with cheese that was then melted. The rolls were hard. Like they were left over from the day before. I should have waited until 5 to go to Roma Cucina. I m going to rate them on every platform I find.

I ve noticed a trend when it comes to Italian joints in Allen. Small dining room, means big vibes the mom & pop vibe is strong, the portions will fill you up. I ordered the usual chicken parm with it was okay. Nothing out of the ordinary. The bread and dip they give you is immaculate, the server was an absolute lad! Want to come back to try seafood options.

Great place for Italian food! I had the caprese, eggplant parmigiana , and the chicken parmigiana before! If you get the salad I recommend their house dressing. It s a delicious vinaigrette. All plates are great portions and have a great flavor and decently priced. I would definitely go here again if you are looking for a local Italian Spot.

Decided to stop here to see if the reviews were worth the visit, and the food was amazing. Only thing that turned me off were the cold, blank stares I got from the bartenders the entire time. Only guy who actually smiled was the host, he deserves a pay raise. Also, I would suggest that next time someone actually pays attention to the drink refills, terrible service on that part.

Family-friendly casual Italian eatery with intimate and cozy bar, Spazos is a solid place to visit with great friendly service and delicious selections of Italian dishes. I came for a family outing party of 6 early on a weekend night (thankfully we had reservations, the place got rather crowded)! Seems like a no-frills but good and affordable neighborhood go-to with many regulars. Complimentary Bread, Stuffed Mushrooms, and Tilapia Picatta were delicious. Large portion sizes, pretty good value. Overall good experience!

Our service was excellent, our server from Albania was awesome! The atmosphere was nice, but our food was ok. The pizza was good (but we got extra large and it was a bit soggy), the spaghetti was good, the table bread was very very good. The bruschetta was good/average. We soooo wanted to love this place. Just moved here and desperately wanted to find a great Italian spot. This place was quaint and very convenient for us. However, we were not impressed. We ordered to go and should have checked the order before we left. We ordered cheesy bread and it was really well done plain garlic bread. We didn t feel like we could even bite into it so we didn t eat it- you really couldn t bite into it like you should with normal bread. Our salads were wilted and warm when we got home because they bagged them with piping hot pastas. The ziti sauce was blah- no real flavor at all. Had a stale taste to it- can t really explain the taste but it didn t taste like a normal ziti sauce and was extremely bland like it didnt have much of a taste at all. Noodles with plain butter would have had more flavor than this had. The house dressing was just indescribable. Couldn t pin point the taste but it seemed a bit off and not like any house dressing I ve ever had. Needless to say, we had a couple bites and decided to find something in the house to eat. Maybe it was an off night for them but not really willing to invest $45 again if this is their normal

Simple tasty Italian food. Brushetta app description says capers, however I did not get capers on it but it was still quite tasty. It has a slight kick to it. The aurora sauce is nice (kinda like pink vodka sauce), not spicy at all. The chicken parm sandwich is good. Limoncello marscarpone cake is light. To go food is packaged very well, keeps the food warm and nothing leaked. Restaurant is packed on a weekday night. Vegetarian options: Pasta dishes can be made vegetarian. Baked ziti is made with meat sauce though. Plenty of apps to choose from for vegetarian options such as the garlic bread, brushetta, stuffed mushrooms. They also have pizza options.

Spazo is a small restaurant with a friendly environment. When its lively it may get a little loud, but there is nothing wrong with laughter and a good time. We enjoy going there for pizza while my wife enjoys a salad. The beer is cold and the prices are fair for the portions. Nice place for a date night before a movie. Furniture is a little dated but youre not there for a fancy table, youre there for great food, a little conversation in a relaxed area.

Ordered dinner for my family at 6:46pm on a Thursday night. The est delivery time was 40-50 minutes. My order didnt come until 8:16pm, mind you, we are 2 miles from the restaurant. A 30 minutes delay on top of An hour wait is absurd. Called the restaurant as my young children were super hungry. The employee Tina was not at all helpful or apologetic and could very well be one of the rudest person Ive ever come across. You really shouldnt be hiring people who have an attitude and arent willing to problem-solve in service industry. We had to go get something else from a nearby fast food restaurant, so our young children could eat and go to bed. Totally unacceptable and very disappointing as we try to support local business when we can. ETA: it seems like there are a lot of compliants about the hostess Tina. You should really look into this. The face of your business shouldnt be this rude and careless to your customer. After talking to the owner of the restaurant, they refunded my order.

Just had dinner there for the second time. Really disappointed-the first time my husband and I had dinner it was great service, good food, quiet place. The second time? Really disappointing. We had literally 5 different servers-one greeted us, never came back, someone else took our order and never came back, etc. we just ordered app and meal, I was having a really really bad day but other than being super quiet we weren t rude or anything. Each server got progressively more and more rude, everyone else around us received spectacular service, I wasn t loving my dish so I asked if it would be alright to get a different one-swapped that out easy peasy again the server(dressed like a manager) was not kind about it and actually made me feel even worse for swapping out food. We ended up having to pay for it, and while not normally a thing restaurants do when you ve taken one bite but again sure that s fine-foods expensive now a days. Nobody came to explain, nobody at any point checked on us while the table next to us the server came back several times to joke and be friendly and serve them but I had to send my husband up front for check, for to-go boxes, etc. we won t be going back, which, I know, really hard hit for the restaurant, but I m really disappointed with everything and I really wish we had a different experience because the foods decent.

We started off with delicious homemade garlic bread that was so good we had to order another one! Then came the perfectly chilled house salad with GREAT Italian dressing. The New York style pizza and homemade pasta was amazing. For a grande finale for our dinner a tiramisu and cappuccino!

If youre looking for a quaint little spot for great Italian food, ambiance, and great service, look no further. Also, their dishes are reasonably priced. Weve had just about everything on the menu and cant find a dish we dont like. We love the staff, and most have been there for years. Highly recommend!!

We had a party of 7 for dinner and our waiter was excellent! Wish there were more like him. The food was outstanding! Soooo very delicious! Best pizza ever! Also, the shrimp with Alfredo sauce was soooo yummy and spaghetti and meatballs were great too! Highly recommend this place!

Based on their customer service, I have to give them 2 stars. You dont argue with a customer or make excuses. Please just fix the issue and show empathy. But some people dont have this skill. To be fair, their food is good so if you dont mind sub par customer service this place is decent. However, personally I prefer both a good meal and good service.

Have ordered delivery plenty of times with no problem. We sat down to get a drink at the bar and was brought water. No one ever made an attempt to take our order. People looked right at us and ignored us for 15 minutes. As we left, the gal behind the bar kept trying to tell us to have a nice day. Came off as a little passive aggressive. I have been into this establishment in person only twice, and both times were a negative experience the likes of which I have not had in this area. Will not do business with them again.

The dishes are modestly priced. The atmosphere is more of an authentic Italian restaurant. The Italian dressing is authentic, not American, and you will love it! The ower and staff are very friendly and this is a great family owned establishment. If you are looking for a great experience with good food that is supporting local people, this place is for you!

I decided to try Spazo because it reminded me of the homey little Italian restaurants Im used to in the northeast. I gave the atmosphere 5 star because thats exactly what it felt like. Its small, cozy, and just feels different than the overly done restaurants weve become used to in this part of DFW. I had the linguine pescatore and it was excellent. My only wish would be to have some good Italian bread on the table but I know thats hard to find in Texas. Well definitely be back. Kid-friendliness: There was a number of different pasta dishes to choose from including lasagna and chicken alfredo.

We visit this little gem in Allen on a weekly basis. The owners and the staff are friendly and treat everyone like family - it s almost as if patrons are invited guests to their home. (now if only I could get the owners to offer Italian nachos on their menu )

We saw the reviews and were looking forward to a nice evening here. But it s mostly mediocre food with a healthy dollop of bad service! We went for dinner with another family. I asked if they had a table for 7 people and the kid at the host stand said they did. After we were seated in the stuffy back room, we were totally ignored for more than 10 minutes - no one came by to offer even water. The waiters walked by pretending we weren t there and a woman sorta scowled and walked right by when we tried to flag her down. Another waitress said she would let our server know. Finally the same kid who told us the table was available shows up without even an apology, takes the drink and appetizer orders, and promptly disappears. We had gotten a glass of wine, a cocktail and a coffee. The cocktail eventually showed up, but the wine and coffee did not. My friend walked up to the bar and got the wine but while the coffee showed up on the bill, it never was brought to our table. Fortunately, they have a manager there named Martiner. After my friend complained to him, he hustled and got things right and the food showed up soon after. We had the med pasta, a med salad, the eggplant parm, some pizza with some appetizers. The food wasn t bad - just average Italian fare at best. My friend didn t care for the chocolate cosmo - it wasn t blended properly and the chocolate just stood out awkwardly. Ultimately though, the place was a fail for us. When you go out for dinner, the service can make or break your evening! This one was definitely the latter.

It is super hot in the restaurant. We were all sweating. Food was okay. I got the fettuccine alfredo, which tasted awkwardly like it had shrimp in it. That paired with the heat did not make for any enjoyable evening. Would maybe consider trying them again for take out only.

Best Italian food i ever had!!! Highly recommended. Everyone should taste the best marinara sauce and everything taste the same with that sauce. Pasta, spaghetti, lasagna. All same taste. Also the rock hard not so garlic breads! Amazing place! Please try this place out!

Wouldnt let me drink my own water. Horrible service, rude staff, and the food isnt even that good. My family left 1 minute after sitting down because of this. I dont have to put up with this, its a restaurant, not the airport. Im sure theyll be out of business soon, its always really slow there now every time I see it. Will be good to see these clowns go! Edit: If you care about learning from this, have a talk with the waitress in the front of the restaurant who was there at 1:30 pm yesterday. Shes the one who did this. Had a scowl on her face the minute we came.
