My loved ones and I stopped in recently for lunch and were delightfully surprised with the offerings here! The chicken curry dip with roti is a must have, extra roti! Their juices are very refreshing, the pineapple ginger is supreme. I love love love the beef rendang & their extra garlicky water spinach. The portions are sharing size and justify the slightly higher prices than I would have expected. We were happy to pay a little extra for the entrees to have the ability to share with each other AND take some home. This is a wonderful place to order to-go from, as a lot of the dishes travel and reheat very nicely. We are new and loyal fans to Phat Eatery after our dine in and to-go visits!

We ve dined in several times now and every time has been great. I ve also gotten takeout twice. Everything is well packed, delicious, and even the fork/spoon/chopsticks setup you get with takeout is superior to anything you ll get from other restaurants. Old review: Finally made it in for dinner! Awesome meal, one you won t find anywhere else in The Woodlands. The whole family enjoyed everything, and we can t wait to go back! Old review: Who rates a place 1 star because it hasn t opened yet. Can t wait to try this place out! Edit: went to the location in Katy and now I REALLY can t wait!

Twice I ve ordered for pickup and the order is always missing something. The receipt that s literally stapled to the bag is just for decoration since nobody checks it. I really enjoy the food so much that I literally drive to get it instead of ordering delivery from somewhere else like I usually do. But this is going to make me stop coming because it s a totally avoidable mistake!!!! Cross check the receipt with the items and all will be well!!!!

I had a good time at Pat Eatery last weekend. I ve been trying to visit since they opened but it has always been packed. This weekend it was busy but not a long wait just around 10-15 min. The place is nicely decorated. We had a great server Kyle, that recommended some dishes and was always attentive of our needs. Food was delicious! Will definitely be coming back to try other things in the menu.

We came here for an early dinner. We were recommended by the owners wife who is a friend of my husband. Didnt know what to expect. The food was fantastic. The service was excellent and extremely fast. The manager, Mr. Lee, was super nice and kind. My husband and I ordered Roti Canai and the calamari. Excellent. The calamari was not your typical calamari. The flavor was delicious. You have to squeeze the lemon on it too. It just makes it that much better. My husband ordered the chili prawns and I ordered the sweet basil chicken. These two dishes were superb. Husband ordered a level 3 hot and he said you can taste the heat. We also hard the Malaysian Chicken Curry. It reminded me of chicken curry from India. This dish definitely had alot of Eastern flavors. I recommend this place 100%. You must try it out. The portions are pretty big so you will have leftovers!

We had the Roti, Goreng, Pineapple rice, Pomfret, and vegeatable curry soup. The Goreng, Pineapple rice and Pomfret were excellent. Pomfret being the best for sure. The roti were really good but the Curry was pretty bland and a little thick like a gravy. Our experience throughout southeast asia is the curry is not thick and has more spices. Spice it up a little!! The curry soup needed more flavor/umami. Needs more time with the spices in the broth!!. Service was really good so overall 4.5

We drove out for an early lunch and had a lovely experience. Service was great, personable and FAST. The food was delicious. We had the mixed satay and the meat was grilled to just nicely crisp. The Beef Rendeng was melt in your mouth tender, as was the Sizzling Beef. The Mee Goreng was flavorful and the Malaysian Fried Rice was a meal in itself. Spice levels were customizable. Large portions meant we had plenty to bring home. Our first time trying Malaysian food, and it was a hit with us. We will be back, even though its a bit of a drive for us. Well worth it!

So some friends invited us to go to Phat Eatery Woodlanda this evening. It is fairly new and the first time we had ever been there. For appetizers we had the Roti Canai and Salt and Pepper Calimari. The Roti was good but the Calamari is some of the best Ive ever had. For dinner we had Sweet Basil Chicken, Sizzlimg Black Pepper Beef, Garlic Green Beans, Sweet Basil Fried Rice, and Whitw Rice. Once again some of the best Asian food Ive ever had. But the most amazing part was the portions were huge. Everything was like a.double portion. We took home almost as much food as we ate. And reasonable pricing. Lydia did a great job as our waitress. And Lonnie the manager stopped by and recommended various dishes and checked to make sure everything was perfect. It was. Oh. And if you wanted a coke they had Mexican Coca Cola in bottles with real sugar. Sorry about the picture. We were about 3/4 of the way through dinner when I remembered to take a picture. You can see how much food is left I highly recommend this place.

I had dinner with a neighbor yesterday evening and it was excellent. The atmosphere was nice. We sat in the area surrounded with windows and trees . The food was delicious and we both agreed we would be back to try many of the menu offerings. We had the Roti Canai, CK Teow and Mee Goreng. We were NOT disappointed! The only improvement would be to bring the main entrees at the same time. Mine came out first after the appetizer, but my neighbor s came out ~5 minutes later. It was probably an anomaly. I will definitely be going back! What a great addition to The Woodlands!

Overpriced long John silvers and very unprofessional. The manager or owner or whatever he is, is clearly over baring to his workers hovering over them when trying to order food. We didn t get his name but he was in a green shirt and older. We were stopped by him only moments after entering telling us we needed to leave because we had a dog. Clearly if he would have calmed down and paid attention he would have realized she was a service dog with her clearly indicated vest.

We had a great experience at Phat Eatery. I have been to Singapore, KL and Penang many years back and have enjoyed the food there. Service was excellent. Very helpful wait staff and managers checking in to make sure you are happy. I also like the ambiance and the fact you can see the kitchen from the dining area. We tried out a couple dishes. Our favorites were the roti with chicken curry dip and the beef rendang both of which were the best I have had in the US. Truly exceptional. The Malaysian fried rice was very good too. Sadly, the chili prawns and mango chicken were relatively bland and lacked authenticity. These felt Americanized to me totally unlike the other dishes we had. We will definitely be back to try other dishes.

I had gone to the eatery twice and my experience was varied. The first time around we had the satay and the rendang. It tasted pretty decent. Second time around was a worse experience. The satay that we ordered tasted like it was sitting out for a while and was cold. we did not report it just to avoid confrontation. But the Ikan Bakar was just horrible. It tasted Rancid. I did report it and we were told that it was because the sambal was mixed with a thai sauce. I did not buy it. I could clearly tell it was rancid. they did offer to replace my dish with one with just sambal. i did accept the replacement and the dish was decent. The prices are exorbitant to top it off!! If you re new to south east asian dishes this place may give you a sneak peak.

The restaurant is quite hidden in the wood. The first impression was the friendliness of the host and waiter and the Asian atmosphere in the restaurant decoration. I got the hokkien mee which was similar to Chinese black sauce noodle and Korean jajangmyon. The plate looked attractive but the taste was not as expected. The sauce was very salty while the shrimp and the squid tasted quite bland. I felt that the seafood was not stir fried with the sauce during the cooking process. Mixing all boiled ingredients at the end with the sauce may cause this difference in taste. The amount of food vs the price was not matched. The shrimps were medium sized with no tail-end. This is important because a good noodle dish should come with jumbo shrimps and even shell-on for the tail. The squid pieces were not only small but also just a few. I could tell that my plate was 80% of noodle. With $18, I expected beef rather than chicken. Lastly, the plate needed more veggie (cabbage).

As a Malaysian, Im ALWAYS craving home food. Ive eaten at Phat in Katy and found the food acceptable. Imagine my delight to hear Phat would be in The Woodlands. Im disappointed as the food is not authentic. Beef rendang- meh!! Not spicy enough and tasted more like beef curry. The portion was incredibly small for $26. The Ikan Bakar ($38) sambal was not quite a sambal but tasted more of galangang and lemon grass.. Our server tried hard but obviously inexperienced and young. Still I appreciate his efforts. We had a 7.30 pm reservation today for my husbands birthday dinner. Upon arrival we were seated without delay. They have a separate Vegan menu, which was good for me. We ordered our food fairly quickly. I got the Roti Canai and Vegetable Casserole; my husband ordered the Satay and Award Winning Chicken Curry. After a short wait, a pot of rice was placed on the table, with a comment that it is part of the main meal. Then the Roti Canai arrived. There was no sign of the Satay, my husbands appetizer. Then to our surprise the Chicken Curry arrived. After a long wait my Vegetable Casserole and the Satay was brought to the table. By that time my husband was halfway through his Chicken Curry because the curry and rice were getting cold. The waitress came and asked us if everything was okay, and we told her we were upset. She asked if we wanted to see a manager and since we did not want to create a scene we politely refused. After that the waitress did not return to our table. She walked by three times and refused to look our way all the while chatting to people at the tables around us. The food was very mediocre and flavorless. The Curry with the roti was bland and green, like some key ingredients were missing. The Chicken Curry bowl was half filled with potatoes and had almost no curry. The Satay had no flavor. The Vegetable Curry was flavorless, nothing to write about. Since our waitress was clearly ignoring us, I asked another one passing by to bring us the check. Our waitress came back with the check, never once apologized for what happened. She had quite a defiant attitude. Very poor service and pathetic food. It was a disappointing experience.

Being from Singapore and half Malay, its really hard to find a good Malay restaurant that accommodates everyone not just Asians but also American people. People who are not familiar with Malay food will have a hard time understanding what it is. Everything we ordered was fantastic: Turmeric Defense (healthy but tasty drink) Kerabu Medley Salad Salt & Pepper Calamari (one of the best we had) Sizzling Tofu (out of this world) Ikan Bakar (crispy Pomfret grilled on banana leaf with sambar sauce) Organic green bean with belacan sauce We were so satisfied and thrilled that we have a topnotch Asian restaurant in the Woodlands that we do not have to drive to Houston for authentic ethnic craving now.

Our favorite Malaysian restaurant opens its 2nd location and its in the Woodlands. Its only 15 minutes from home so its already a 5-star in my opinion . The food quality is just as good and as delicious as its original location in Katy Asian Town. We ordered our usual - Roti Canai with curry chicken Beef rendang, Sizzling Tofu on hot iron plate, and Hainanese Chicken. Enough for party of two and left over for next day lunch. I think the curry chicken dipping sauce can be better if it s more like curry texture than a gravy-like sauce. Our server was very good, attentive and takes care of us.

I had the turmeric defense juice to drink which was tasty, refreshing and non alcoholic. I started with the roti canai, the sauce was fabulous and the flatbread was like nothing Ive had before. I finished with the curry laksa which is probably my new favorite soup. Service was fast at the bar.

Made a reservation on the phone for Saturday, June 29 at 3 PM for Sunday , June 30 at 1 PM. We show up, theres a sign on door, Hey, were no opening until 5. Loads of people showing up and then disappointedly turning away. Heres a clue. Youve got our phone number, you can call or text. Its called being a PROFESSIONAL. This was going to be our first time. Probably will not go at all - such lack of professionalism doesnt deserve a second chance.

June 29, 2024 The Rice for the chicken rice was not made with chicken stock and therefore lost the whole authentic flavour of what chicken rice is all about. Both the Rice and chicken were not served served steaming hot. The satay was excellent but the temperature of meat was not hot. The satay sauce was perfect. Snow pea vegetabless came out steaming hot and was delicious. Still, worth the experience.

The food here is very delicious. The service is top notch. We had the curry Malaysian chicken, house made fried egg tofu, the Laksa, the basil chicken and the roti canai for an appetizer. All of these dishes were amazing. The Asian demographic from the area were all here. Highly, highly recommend. Lily our bartender was amazing. We will definitely be back.

The service was extremely slow, our waitress kept forgetting what we ordered, one of the appetizers came quick but our second appetizer came really late, then they brought one our entree which we had to share because more than an hour passed the time we have been seated and the second entree hasn t come out yet, our waitress even had boxed the leftover of our first entree before the second come out. This is UNACCEPTABLE. They just opened so you d expect they put their best service out but honestly it was very poor! We were so excited about this new restaurant but our first try was unfortunately disappointing. Food was good and the restaurant is well designed, very nice location. Also, there were flies inside, not too many but there were definitely some flies in the restaurant and the floor wasn t clean

I recently dined at one of my favorite restaurants from Katy, now happily nestled here in The Woodlands. From the moment I stepped in, I was reminded of why I love this place. The food quality, presentation, and taste are consistently excellent. During my visit, I opted for their renowned beef rendang, and I must say, it was impeccably cooked. The meat was tender, flavorful, and paired beautifully with the aromatic spices. Every bite was a delightful experience, reaffirming my fondness for this restaurant. If youre looking for a spot with superb food and a cozy ambiance, this place definitely hits the mark.

We were even given a 20% discount because we showed up at 4 and they didn t open till 5 due to running out of food preparation. The restaurant is that good that they are selling out.

Absolutely delicious Malaysian cuisine! Doors opened at 5 pm for dinner & in less than 15 minutes the restaurant was filled with people & popping with energy :). Our server was Patrick and he was awesome! He told us all about the various dishes and so we started with a mixed Satay with peanut dipping sauce. The meat was perfectly grilled and super tender! Next, we tried the Malaysian Chicken Curry, the Award Winning Beef Rendang & the Nasi Lemak platter, including coconut rice and other goodies. All the dishes we ate were really flavorful and yummy! The room we were seated in had a beautiful view of the trees & all in all it was a wonderful experience! We will DEFINITELY become regulars here. I highly recommend Phat Eatery of The Woodlands!!!

Presentation, atmosphere, and most importantly, the food was top notch. The only drawback i would say is its overpriced ($23 for sizzling tofu seems excessive even for in house made tofu). I could easily come here two or three times a month if the prices werent so inflated.

I don t get the five star reviews. Here s my experience. Flies. Flies. Flies. All over my food. Rice paddle stuck in bowl on top of rice. Unsanitary. Waitress took forever and we were there at 5:30 and it wasn t busy. Had to ask for glasses for Dr Pepper. Guess she figured we d use the straws. Food lots but mango pieces in mango chicken hard as a rock. Some chicken not cooked thoroughly. Sweet basil chicken had way too much sauce. Veggies were fresh but undercooked. Flavor just not that great. Took home leftovers and tried to eat but ended up throwing out. Never saw the bill. Waitress took my card and ran it then showed me the tip options on her device. I m old. Couldn t even read the screen. Didn t get a receipt or asked if I wanted text or email one. The interior is nice. Limited food options. Had the chicken skewers. Chicken was fatty cold and not flavorful. Peanut sauce was grainy. I love this kind of food. But this place just didn t do it for me. I was so wanting this to be the place to go to since I live in the area. Glad other people like it. Also the menus were printed on regular printer paper and kinda grungy. If the management is listening train your staff on how to service customers do something about the flies and give customers a receipt.

Malaysian food is one of my favorite cuisines. Phat doesnt have all my favorites, but the dishes they do have are spectacular! Try the Nasi Lemak, Beef Rendeng, or Hainanese Chicken, they are all excellent! They are the three most authentic dishes in my opinion. I also appreciate that they really gave the restaurant some atmosphere. Having lived abroad, US restaurants are really disappointing on the atmosphere. Phat really put in a lot of effort to the restaurant in addition to the food. I will certainly be here often!

We loved the Katy location and were super excited that we would have our own here in The Woodlands!! They are still in their soft opening phase but we definitely enjoyed our visit! The staff is extremely friendly and courteous. They are also thorough to inquire about any dietary restrictions that we have. The food was brought to us with very little wait time and all tasted amazing! All flavorful yet not too overpowering. Having lived in South East Asia for a few years, Phat Eatery offered a wide range of authentic and signature dishes from the region! We ordered the following: Roti with Curry Chicken Dip Salt and Pepper Calamari Curry Laksa Hokkien Mee Hainanese Chicken

One of the absolute best soft openings I ve ever been a part of. Service is S tier and the live that was added to the Beef Rendang is on another level. My wife and I ended up getting. The following; Beef Rendang Char Kway Teow Pineapple fried rice We started with an appetizer of Roti Canal and the calamari. Overall, the seasoning was measured to a high standard. The beef was braised was noticeable as each bite cut down like butter and the curry was perfectly balanced. If you re a curry fan, this is for you. If you re NOT a curry fan, this will change your mind. We need more Asian options in the Woodlands s so give this place a try and help good food succeed.

Phat Eatery is an experience. As someone who is unfamiliar with Malaysian food, I was rather intimidated to dine at a restaurant and not know exactly what to expect. They are great at guiding their guests and explaining dishes to provide an exceptional experience. If I could give Phat Eatery a million stars I would!! Every single thing Ive ever had has been delicious! There isnt one thing Ive tried that I didnt thoroughly enjoy. Ive dined at the Katy location for years and I am thrilled that the Woodlands gets to have a Phat Eatery as well. Their Calamari is second to none. The texture is unlike anything Ive ever had before, lightly battered and the sauce... wow! Crisp peppers and onions. One of those things that you cant even explain, you just have to experience it! Beverage wise they have a wide variety of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages. Again, Ive never ordered a drink that I didnt love. Not sure if the Espresso Martini is on the menu here, but it is the most unique and delicious Espresso Martini that Ive tried. I highly recommend trying out Phat Eatery. Ask for guidance on the menu, enjoy the experience. You will not regret it!
