Since 1950, Whataburger has proudly served a bigger, better burger. It all started when a young entrepreneur named Harmon Dobson had a bold idea: to serve a burger so big that it took two hands to hold, and so good that after a single bite customers couldn't help but exclaim, “What a burger!” He named his humble burger stand in Corpus Christi, Texas, “Whataburger.” Over six decades later, we're still family owned and operated. Each and every Whataburger® is still made to order. We still use 100% pure beef and serve it on a big, toasted five-inch bun. And now, as we proudly serve burgers, chicken, salads and breakfast at more than 800 Whataburger locations across the country, that first burger stand is still close to our hearts.

Last week, they failed to include fries in two meals. Today, they gave me dried up spicy chicken sandwich with a touch of attitude in the drive thru. The manager, Kyle, stated he would speak to the young man in drive thru about his attitude. Their service and food quality have gone downhill. I am thoroughly disappointed.

I go to this whataburger atleast once a week and each time I do curbside. The order always comes out with a friendly greeting. The downside to this store is the sub par food. The burger is normally dry and fries cold or cooked 10 kinds of wrong. To be fair, Whataburger fries are basically hot garbage to begin with.

Today I experienced a day of complete humanity. First a citizen found a debit card belonging to a coworker in the parking lot and turned it in to me. SECONDLY, and this was huge also. I went to the Whataburger in Wylie off FM 544.... I was directed to park in the B line. I was told by Jared (a Whataburger employee). That the person before me paid for my meal. I said, well Jared I need to take care of the person behind me. He said yes maam Ill let you know their total and we will go from there. He came to me with the total and had two kids juices in his hand...which told me, dad behind me was feeding his kids. I said Jared I got this. Jared stood next to me..we talked about our cats and animals that wandered up to our properties. Needless to say....the pay it forward and humanity still exists. I dont know if the dad behind me did and even if he didnt it doesnt matter. We dont know what someone is going through. Today was a great day of people being NICE!

Fairly new Whataburger. Clean and in good repair. Food was spot on Whataburger. No complaints. Service was good but with little to no personality. Recommend. Update. Been back a couple times. Food is great, but service is insanely slow. I ordered a dine in number 1 meal. They were not busy. Only a 1/3 if the seats inside were filled. It took 27 minutes to get my meal. Not counting standing in line to order. I could have went thru the McDonalds drive thru 5 times!!! Absolutely no excuse. When I showed them the time on my receipt when I finally got my food, they said sorry and walked off. Can not recommend.... Update 2 Service speed has improved slightly. This place has to be the slower whataburger I have ever ate at. It s a fun atmosphere for the workers but the food is often wrong and 1 out of every 4-5 customers leave the drivethru line because of the wait. Whataburger is my favorite food, I even had it as my baby shower theme if that tells you anything. However the service here is always awful. I ordered ahead and still waited 20 min after arriving to get my food. Several people before me complained. When I looked in the back, I saw many employees several of which were on their phones. One person complained her food hasn t been brought out yet for curbside and it had been sitting on the shelf for st least 10 min yet they told her it had just been made. Sad that I m going to have to find a new favorite food place.

It was an online order that they got wrong. We ordered two sausage taquitos and one bacon, but received three sausage taquitos. Also, the biscuits on the two jalapeno cheddar biscuit sandwiches we ordered were over cooked. They were way too brown. The location 7 minutes away in Murphy is much better.

We visited late night Tuesday around midnight. We went in the outside lane because it was the shortest, placed our order and pulled forward. When an employee came out to bring the person in front of us their order he hand signaled to us to move over - which was confusing, why was the lane open if they didn t want people in it. We didn t have to wait long and received our taquitos and breakfast burger fairly quickly. Food tasted good but the service was, as usual, a bit below par. The food is always good and even better with the right kitchen staff. Ordering is easy with no added pressure, so it feels like you have the time to think about what you want. Service is hit or miss, but cant beat a good burger from Whataburger Vegetarian options: On the menu, theres a little green V for vegetarian options next to the item and price Dietary restrictions: You can customize to your hearts desire so any dietary restrictions can be welcomed Parking: Tight turn arounds, but the parking lot has at least 30-40 spaces for all of those who are hungry and want to Dine-in Kid-friendliness: Highchairs for toddlers and infants Wheelchair accessibility: 3 wheelchair accessible ramps leading to the two entrances of the building to give as much access as possible

This is a second review: Please shut this location down or replace its management. Food quality is subpar, staff cant get an order right to save their life, and this location gives the Whataburger brand a bad name. I specifically requested 2 spicy ketchups, but I got 0. Its right there on the receipt. How do you get it wrong? Also, the cheese on the burger looks like plastic once again and is not even melted. Honestly, I hate myself for giving this location another chance. Its obvious they have no inventing of improving, but are simply taking advantage of their location to get the one-time-only customers whose opinions of Whataburger will be permanently tarnished by this experience. Previous review.: Honestly, Whataburger Corporate should shut this location down. Its a blemish on the Whataburger name. Ive never had a good experience here and I generally go out of my way to visit the Murphy location, just to avoid this one. However, my friends wanted to stop in Saturday night, so I joined them... much to my dismay. We ordered dine-in... they brought the food out in bags instead of on trays. They didnt ask what condiments we wanted, so we had to ask for extras and left behind the stuff we didnt request. The poor girl seemed afraid of human interaction and didnt even speak when delivering the food, when I asked for ketchup, or when she brought it out. I ordered a Bacon cheeseburger combo and it came out with no bacon. The cheese wasnt even melted, and the burger tasted cold even though we dined in the restaurant. Maybe it wasnt cooked well or maybe the oversized chunk of ice-cold lettuce they put on it just made it seem that way. The buns werent warm and didnt seem very fresh. I also gave it 2 stars for atmosphere because there were a bunch of loud, unsupervised teenagers in there, though they werent really causing any trouble. I dont really blame the restaurant for that, but it still affects the perception & experience. Overall, another disappointing experience at this location.

As it relates to fast food, What-a-Burger is always at the top of my list for burgers. Youll always know what to expect at any location you go to. Service is a different story. Some days you can get really good service from friendly employees and others, not do much. I can say Ive never gotten bad or rude service. Terrible! Terrible customer service including the Manager on site today 4/3/2024. Ordered through the Whataburger app for delivery. Missing items upon delivery. I immediately called the store and talked with the alleged manager. No remorse for missing items. I asked for the missing food to be redelivered - can t do. Asked for a refund - can t do. Why? Because they cannot help you if you ordered through the app. Pretty frustrating to say the least. Be warned!!! If you order through the app and there is something wrong, at least this location and manager will not help rectify. I have contacted what I am assuming is a corporate customer service contact. Will have to see if anything is resolved.

When we first came in we ordered burgers and fries and drink and then he assumed that we was going to pay with the card so the transaction was canceled whenever we handed cash so we had to go get a manager to move to another register for some reason but usually when the managers come in front of customers the managers greet but this manager on duty she didnt great nobody then Im not sure but a big boss walked in or owner and he went straight to the kitchen and he was looking at each employee and then we got the burger quick the burgers were hot and fresh the cold stuff was cold on the burger and the bun and the meat were hot! They have done a lot better at this place here recently I guess for me working different restaurants and stuff I felt the manager walk in and I was nervous because I was afraid that he was going to say something to me what I done wrong LOL and then he greeted us have a good day when we left after we walked out I told my husband I felt like I was working because I was nervous because of the manager there but not for no apparent reason really just my fear anyway great job Whataburger! Ive had multiple bad experiences at this location. Even if you are the only one in the drive-through, its going to take at least 15 minutes. The staff is not always friendly and the ones Ive encountered know nothing about the products they sell. I would say the staff could use a lot of training in multiple areas. The food is fast food, and it doesnt always seem fresh. As far as fast food, its at the bottom of my list. I have avoided this location entirely now. I used to work at a school, and this place was an ongoing joke at work. We would avoid lunches here, and people would put aside an extra 30 minutes in the morning to get breakfast here because it always takes so long.

Im not from here but have stopped here before, and food and service were great in the past. This time was horrible. It took 10-15 min to get the food, and then as we were eating, going down the road found that our food was under cook and was still pink. The woman at the drive-thru counter was very rude and exhibited bad customer service. She criticized me for wanting my app to be scanned first and taking back my card. She said it in a tone of annoyance and rudeness. She couldnt even bring me my food and had to have another gentleman hand me the food. I know you dont have good days, sometimes, but that doesnt mean treat your customers poorly. And mind you I was being nothing but kind and respectful. They had the friendliest people working mostly new but they were great!!! Ordered online but dined in . They brought it out to me when it was ready . Order was filled as I requested!! Great people and grat food too !!!

Awful drive through experience. More times than not, the drive through is horrendously slow. It took me 20+ minutes to get a burger. A dozen cars waiting in the drive through. No one moving at all. Not worth it.

Not a bad quick dinner. This time it was on time! Usually when we want Whataburger from this location in Wylie and ordering with the app you definitely want to place your order at least 20 minutes before you actually want it in hopes to have it ready by the time you actually want it. This time it was basically ready during the time it is estimated to be ready.

Food was better than I expected.they put mustard on one bun and the other nothing, so be sure to tell them not to if you dont like mustard.
