This experience during my stay was not as pleasant as I would have liked. First the room I reserved was switched and when I advised the front desk clerk, it was as if I made the mistake. My email reads 2 beds not 1. Needless to say, it was corrected. However when we went to the room this piece of machinery was in the room, very loud. Next, someone comes knocking on the door after midnight, not once but twice. Then the phone rang and it was security stating a noise complaint was made. After conveying couldnt be us we are talking in normal tone. And their reply to us was the walls are thin. What??? So we cant talk in the room we paid for, make it make sense. This was NOT a pleasant stay. Please do better!

Staff working on 09.28.24 at 7:20 pm. Very rude making side eye and comments to other guests when I complained about the new Marriott app update from this month not working and not letting me use my mobile key instead of just saying sorry honestly real customer service is no matter my complaint you say sorry how can I make this better not saying rude side comments to other guests. The one girl at the front desk should choose a career not in hospitality because she is not very hospitable.

I truly enjoy my stay at the Houston Marriott Sugar Land Hotel. I have had the opportunity to stay there a couple times now for business purposes, and I will definitely be back many times for work travel. I plan to stay at the Houston Marriott Sugar Land each time as I appreciate the staff, the kindness, the communication, and the overall atmosphere. I also truly love the rooms as they are so comfortable. I have to personally thank Nicole who has gone above and beyond to assist me with my stays each time. She has been extremely helpful with my bookings, and ensuring I am taken care of as a guest. Nicole is very professional, courteous, and thorough in all she does. Nicole goes above and beyond to make sure that her guests are comfortable and happy. Nicole exemplifies the values of integrity, communication, compassion, care, teamwork, and professionalism. She is an amazing asset to the Houston Marriott Sugar Land Team, and they are lucky to have her.

We had a nice stay here. The staff were nice and professional. There are a few things that the hotel (board or owners) need to pay attention to small details to hotel rooms and restrooms by the banquet rooms. The hotel room had fungus growing near vents. Banquet restrooms need updating or hard cleaning. The bar needs channels for local team games where we can enjoy our drinks and watch our Astros, Texans, and Rockets. We went next door to watch the game. Im sure the hotel misses a lot of money due to this on drinks. Drinks we made very well.

Stayed here in September 2024. The location is perfect of Sugar Land. Right in the middle of the town center area. Lots of good restaurants and dining in the area. Parking in ramp or valet at not cost. Easy to get to. The property is well managed and maintained. The service was perfect and the decor definitely upscale for a Marriott property. Well managed and kept. Definitely recommended. Keep in mind - this is in Sugar Land. About 30 minutes away from downtown Houston or Uptown.

I recently visited the Marriott Hotel in Sugar Land and had the pleasure of interacting with Juliana and Jazara. Both went above and beyond to ensure my visit was comfortable and enjoyable. Juliana was incredibly attentive, helping me with every request, and her professionalism truly stood out. Jazira was equally helpful. Their warm hospitality made a big difference, and I couldn t have asked for better service.

How can I begin to share how much I love this property. I initially stayed at this hotel in April 2024, and I absolutely loved it! The front desk staff was amazing, and the rooms are very, very clean. The hotel staff is very professional and very accommodating, even to those that dont deserve it and enter into the hotel feeling entitled and do not have an Elite Status!!! Yet, the staff is nice. I am on the most spoiled Marriott guest in the world...LOL because Ive been a member for 25 years and I am one year from Lifetime platinum. I have traveled the world, I only want to stay in Marriott properties, and I have high expectations. I am very much on the inside of the loop about the Marriott industry. What can I say about the breakfast? AMAZING and first class. They serve the smoked salmon, capers and etc. What can I say about the restaurant food and staff? AMAZING! Please try the lemon pepper wings! I am actually combining my thoughts from April and this current month. Now, I would like to recognize a few outstanding staff members: Ms. Nicole-the front desk manager is an absolute jewel. Shes very kind and professional, courteous, treats everyone the same and sets the pace for the atmosphere. I was placed in a room and was misled about the location and noise. I ended up getting a headache; after calling the front desk and sharing my concerns the other staff member (will not reveal the name) shared she could not help me. I know how accommodating Marriott can be. Therefore, I took upon myself and went downstairs and politely shared my concerns with Ms. Nicole. Ms. Nicole listened to my concerns, was very professional and did not hesitate to provide me with another room, after I had been misinformed by another staff member. Ms. Nicole took another proactive step and walked up to my newly assigned room, to ensure my comfort. WOW! This is the way it happens at larger Marriotts (J.W. Indianapolis and Time Square Marquis), but I received the same services from Houston Marriott Sugar Land!! Thanks Ms. Nicole you are the BEST! I pray that they keep you around, because I even watched you demonstrate professional kindness to some of the rude customers. In closing, I also want to recognize Ms. Rana who has been working at this location for 15 years and she remembered me (from April) when I walked in for breakfast this morning and she knew exactly how I wanted my omelet. Ms. Rana demonstrates such positive energy and love for her job, company and the location she works at. I also want to recognize Ms. Veronica who also works in the dining area as a server. Ms. Vernonica is prompt, professional and treats the customers with dignity and respect. THIS IS ONE OF THE BEST, IF NOT THE BEST MARRIOTT properties in the Houston area....good service, great people, clean rooms and in a great location with plenty of great restaurants and entertainment. See ya real soon! Noteworthy details: please see detail review above. this is a great hotel and in an excellent location. hes newly renovated. staff is great! food is good! room are clean and comfortable

Stayed here for one night while visiting area. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The room was nice and clean. It smelled a little like stale body oil, but luckily I travel with air fresher so that helped. Only complaint was iron was missing, but no big deal. I would have called to request one if I really needed it. The area around hotel is very nice, several restaurants to walk to and an open area just to hang out (almost like a mini park). I recommend this hotel if your in the area. Free parking in a garage just half a block or so away. They also have valet. Oh, and bartender Mandy is phenomenal, top notch service!!

First of all, kudos to Marriott for accommodating so many people after Hurricane Beryl. Arrived at Marriott Sugar Land Town Square on July 9. The lobby was full, every nook taken, but very well maintained. It was clean, and staff were going around cleaning and restocking water dispensers for the multitudes of guests waiting for rooms to be available. Not a piece of paper on the lobby floor! So impressive! I was fortunate and booked a room online and checked-in online. I would give a 5 star for service except for 1 person at the front desk. When we arrived, I spoke with the front desk and advised that I had reservations, had checked-in online and will wait in the lobby. She asked if I wanted to be on the waitlist for a room. I asked for clarification regarding waitlist and was told it was for walk-ins that did not have reservations. I reiterated that I had reservations and had already checked in online, just waiting for a room assignment. Since cell service was spotty, I walked up to the front desk to politely check on status, as per their advice, every hour for 4 hours. I saw people that arrived after us that had received room assignments already. When I inquired, I was told their name was on the waitlist ahead of mine. I finally spoke with a manager and explained the events, mentioned that Im a Platinum Elite Bonvoy member. She quickly returned with a room assignment. Kudos to the manager! Rooms: Rooms were clean and spacious. Noteworthy details: Concierge lounge was well stocked and an attendant was consistently tidying up and replenishing.

I attended an event at the hotel, but did not stay in a room. The location of the hotel is great. Easy access to freeways. Plenty of places to eat nearby. Lots of fun things to do nearby. But as for the hotel itself, the ballroom where the event was held had worn, stained, torn carpeting. There were odd jumbles/tangles of cables visible on ledges around the room. The lighting flickered. If I had been the organizer of the event, I would have been livid. The place seemed old and dirty. Not what I would expect from Marriott. Ive spent quite a bit of time in Marriott hotels over the years as my husband is a Lifetime Platinum Marriott member. This hotel did not seem to be the same quality that Ive experienced at other Marriott properties over the years.

I had a horrible experience with this hotel. Hotels are supposed to be in the hospitality industry but clearly their billing manager Sam has no respect for guests. I have stayed with Marriott numerous times and I have never in my life experienced the poor customer service that I encountered with this hotel. I originally had a discounted stay which was absolutely great and the only reason I stayed at this hotel for a last minute trip. Upon arrival, guest services did not say that this discount was contingent on anything nor did they say it could be potentially reversed because if they did it was very possible I would have just took me and children elsewhere. I checked in on 7/3 and my original check out date was 7/7, however, due to hurricane Beryl I extended my stay one more night due to a flight cancellation. On the evening of 7/7, I received a phone call around 8pm requesting a form in order to receive a discount. I had already completed my original reservation and there was never any mention of this form after 4 nights. My original bill was for only $359.67 but Marriott decided to back date my entire reservation and charge me $1,069.80. Which has clearly created a hardship for my family. People in Texas are absolutely suffering right now due to all the things lost during this storm and even our economy is in dismay due to hikes in prices for everything yet this hotel decided to charge a single mother of two because their employees are incompetent. Please tell me why do they think its acceptable to charge my card 3 times the original amount and take no ownership in the fact they never asked anything regarding this form until after a day before I checked out. This is extremely poor service and absolutely unacceptable. I cannot believe that the Marriott chain would agree with how this was handled. On top of that, the additional night I stayed the hotel lost all of its power so I dont even believe it was worth being charged an additional night. I promise I will never again recommend Marriott to any one and I will be posting this on all platforms.

I was here for a fundraiser. This hotel is absolutely beautiful. The ballrooms are huge and regal. The architecture in the lobby area is intricate. The area was very clean. I visited the restroom and was pleased. It was cute and very clean. Everything about this hotel screamed royalty. It was simply beautiful. The staff at the front desk were very helpful and kind. The valet employees on the other hand; left a lot to be desired. There was a young woman and a young man at the valet desk. They couldn t answer any questions and didn t even attempt to try and assist with finding answers. They weren t rude; just not helpful at all. The conversation they were having with one another was more important in that moment. They may not need to be the ones interacting with customers. Maybe just let them drive cars. This hotel is right in the middle of a shopping area with lots of stores and restaurants; all within walking distance.

This time I reported the toilet was constantly running - said they had fixed it, but when I got back still not working and engineers had left - so much for 24/7 service. They would not call an emergency plumber and suggested I pee in the shower!!! Or take a 5 floor elevator ride to the 3rd floor for anything else. No 3rd chances for this hotel, whilst great location it is 2 awful experiences and they will not get a 3rd chance!! Update: The hotel manager reached out to my family to find out details of the issue. Details verified, he seemed legitimately concerned and refunded our stay. Thank you, manager Stephen, and Marriott for caring. Original: Where to start...did online check in with our 10pm arrival time noted. We booked and paid on the Marriott website (no discount service). WE WERE GIVEN AN OLD DIRTY LOUNGE THAT THEY HAD PUT SOME BEDS AND FURNITURE IN WITH SMELLY PILLOWS! We proceeded to the front desk and were told that was all they had (the room number is not even listed on the wall). We were tired, we stayed, we slept. The next morning, I asked the current desk assistant why we had a DUMP for a room and it was not the deluxe king, we reserved and paid for. She did (at 9am) put us in the proper room (?why not at 10pm) and offered us free breakfast for our unfortunate experience. We WERE NOT given any credit on our bill and WILL NOT recommend this establishment. The proper room and the one staff member were nice. This room deserves the 5 stars.

This hotel is pretty on the outside but a dysfunctional mess on the inside. It seems to be in the midst of renovations and they are struggling to actually make it functional. There are only 3 elevators to guests rooms. At no point during my weekend stay was I able to get an elevator in less than 5 minutes, and it took almost 10 minutes on Saturday evening. Only one elevator seemed to be working at any given time. renovation noises began bright and early Saturday morning. The room was renovated. There was some sort of lumpy mattress pad on the bed. The towels in the bathroom were what I would use to bath my dog. They were so thin I could literally see through them. The bath mat was actually frayed. Day two linens were a tad better. They specifically told me at check in that breakfast was included in my room. I was charged $28. I certainly would have chosen anything else other than that had I known it was not included. Power went out on Sunday morning. Thankfully we were leaving out as the fire truck rolled in. In short, it was the worst Marriott I have stayed at and would not recommend it. We were there for a wedding and several other guests had worse problems (no phone in room, broken toilets, housekeeping refusing to make the bed, a suite with a kitchen with no actual working appliances- not even a coffee maker)

Hello Marriot, I m specifically writing this review against one of yalls very very disrespectful staff member Steven. He s the big white dude with glasses that works on Sunday nights. I will try best to be entirely respectful but this man was just so rude to me and my Aunt. Me and my cousin came to use the public bathroom and he needed to go really bad (he has urinary infection). And then steven came out of nowhere and very disrespectfully stoped me and my cousin and started to scream and is saying we can t use the public restroom and threaten to call security. And my cousin started to cry because he peed himself and we struggled to find a safe public restroom to use that night. Our entire night was ruined thanks to Steven. I will never be coming to this hotel.

Very sad to see our favorite spot become a disappointment to us on this night. Thanks Steven hope you felt good.

Steven the big fella night shift guy wearing glasses on a Sunday, was very disrespectful and very rude and ruined the Sunday night because we needed too use the public restroom and drink some water from the fountain but sadly Steven disrespectfully kicked us out of the hotel because we were not the guest of the hotel, and I was trying to give him him business by using the vending machine.

Steven, big dude, the night shift guy on Sunday night was rude and did not let me and my family use the restrooms and not let us drink water. I asked him if I can use the restroom and have some water but he refused it and said to go use the public restroom when it turned out to be closed. Then, when I asked if I can use the vending machine he disrespectfully said no when I was just trying to give him business. He said no I already told you no . I was so confused on who hired him.

I was extremely impressed by the friendliness and cleanliness of this hotel. Even though they are under renovation, which they explain to you when you check in, you don t even know that they are under renovation until you see how beautiful your newly renovated room is. There was no renovation noise that I could hear. Lisa, who was the front desk person was so friendly, so congenial, so accommodating! She took great care of me. Lisa is the epitome of what hospitality means. I will definitely be back to this hotel because of its location (every store and restaurant you can imagine in walking distance), it s people (shout out to Lisa), and it s great food ( breakfast was delicious)! This hotel exponentially exceeded my expectations. I recommend this hotel to anyone who wants to have a comfortable stay and great time in Houston.

This place was just ok. The front desk was ok but too busy to effectively assist. This place definitely needs better parking options for guests as well as temporary parking areas and / or available spaces for guests dropping off and picking up at or around the front entrance. The area is congested, being centered around multiple other businesses and people parking from those businesses blocking and preventing actual hotel guests from parking. Also, better signage is needed to direct guests to specific areas and within the hotel. The guest would not have to keep asking staff where to go to find certain areas of these things were posted and visible.

I love the hotel. Its under renovation and they did a great job communicating that. The staff is really nice. They can be preoccupied with each other instead of the guests but if youve worked in Hospitality you know that can happen by happenstance. I wish I couldve given them a 5 but I was downgraded and as a Bonvoy member, I just wasnt expecting it with the bed type guarantee and all. Instead of a King, I had 2 full size beds and it was a bit of a hassle. My significant other and I had to sleep separately in order to fit. The breakfast was good. It was supposed to complimentary, per my check in, but I ended up paying roughly $25 each day. The evening menu did not seem appetizing so I did not experience the evening selections. Great location. Nice staff. Id definitely give it another shot! Rooms: Very clean. Full size beds are small but doable. Food and drinks: Breakfast was good but a little pricy for what was offered.

I recently had the pleasure of staying at this wonderful hotel, and I must say, it exceeded all of my expectations. From the moment I stepped foot in the lobby, I was greeted with warmth and professionalism by the staff. Nicole and Zahra, in particular, stood out with their exceptional customer service. They went above and beyond to ensure that my stay was nothing short of perfect. From providing valuable local insights to promptly addressing any requests I had, they truly made me feel like a valued guest. The hotel itself is impeccably maintained, with luxurious amenities and stunning decor throughout. My room was spacious, clean, and beautifully appointed, offering a serene sanctuary after a long day of exploring the city. The dining experience at the hotel was equally impressive, with a diverse menu of delicious dishes crafted with care. The ambiance of the restaurant was inviting, and the service was attentive without being intrusive. Overall, my stay at this hotel was nothing short of exceptional, thanks in large part to the outstanding service provided by Nicole and Zahra. I cannot recommend this hotel highly enough and look forward to returning in the future.

I believe it is important to provide feedback about my disappointing experience in the hope that the Marriott can address the issues for future guests. The stay had potential to cause serious health issues, and the hotel concerns (such as ongoing construction, health concerns that could be related from such events) were not notified to me ahead of time. Upon checking into the Marriott, I was shocked to find that the room was filled with dust, which was a health hazard and made my stay extremely uncomfortable. Dust on the bed, in the air, on the floor, dust that was almost tangible in taste and smell. In addition to this, the hotel was undergoing extensive construction, resulting in constant and disruptive noise throughout the evening we checked in and into the night. The disturbances caused by the construction made it impossible to relax or get any rest, creating an extremely unpleasant environment for guests. Furthermore, the room itself was far from stable, with wood cracking sounds being a constant source of concern. I was not sure if the noises were due to the construction, lack of stabi;oty of the hotel etc. The instability of the room raised serious safety concerns, and I felt unsafe during my entire stay. The unpleasant smell, reminiscent of sewage, was pervasive and made the room uninhabitable. I checked in around 11pm and checked out the next morning at 8am, as it was an unsafe environment for my wife and myself. Whats more, I was horrified to discover the presence of bedbugs in the room, which is completely unacceptable and poses a significant health risk to guests. This discovery was deeply disturbing and utterly unacceptable in a hotel of Marriotts reputation. Rooms: Smells like sewage , dusty , horrific experience

Working with Veronica will always be a delight. I had the pleasure of working with the Marriott Team for my clients Shendi Reception in the beginning of January. The reason why the service was rated a 3-star is because my shoes were stolen from the room utilized as the bridal suite for my couple. I was told cavalierly that the room was cleaned and the belongings were sat in a private foyer, directly from the room. The bags were there, but my shoes were not. I wish I only had amazingly great things to say about my experience because the management staff and Veronica truly went above and beyond. However, I would recommend to be mindful of your belongings even in areas that seem protected.

Terrible stay. Didn t get the room we booked and weren t offered anything in return for being downgraded. The hotel is going through much needed renovations. Every morning at 9am sharp you could hear power tools working away. Ultimately decided to check out early. When checking out early was offered 50k points but never saw them deposited. When called about it later they said unless we had the name of the person we talked to they couldn t do anything about it. Will not be staying at this or another Marriott again.

I am a royal Marriot member. I stayed more than 10 nights with Marriot in the last 30 days due to my work, Marriot Sugar Land is absolutely the worst one I have ever experienced. Its the most expensive hotel in Sugar Land but the room decor was really outdated and falling apart. Many outlets are either loose or didnt work. I booked a king bed room, which is more expensive than double queen bed room. However, I was told there is no more kind bed room when I checked in. They just put me in a double queen bed room without offering any compensation, not even the room rate difference. The holiday week is the time of the year I have been looking forward to sleep in. However, starting at 9am, there was power tool drilling going on for hotel renovations. I cannot sleep at all at that point. I finally decided to end my stay two days early. I explained the situation and checked out at 9am (after the drilling sound had started again for the day). The front desk person agreed to refund the two nights and offer 50k points. However, later on when I called my travel agent to get refund, the agent called the hotel to confirm, the hotel denied EVERYTHING, claimed that I have never checked out. I was on phone for over 1hr, provided my room number, my check out time, description of the front desk person I have spoken to. They just said they cannot find any record and denied the refund unless I provide the exact name of the front desk person. I have never expect that I would need to document everything myself for things that the hotel should have taken care and agreed to. I mostly exclusively stay at Marriott for all my business and personal travels. But I will never stay at Marriott Sugar Land ever again. You are most likely to get cheaper rate with better experience with a newer hotel instead.

I recommended Marriott Sugarland to my friend visiting from New York this Christmas. The experience from the moment my friend arrived at the hotel turned out to be very positive and memorable. Thanks to Rose at the Front Desk who made his short stay a memorable one. Rose provided excellent Guest Experience that is often hard to get these days. My friend travels all over the world when taking a break from The U.N deployment; even by his standard based on his experience at different hotels, he was impressed with the way Rose made things right by upgrading his room to 320 - nice and spacious, and checking to make assure his experience was pleasant. Lisa was just as pleasant with her quality of service. Thanks Marriot for the quality of staff at your Front Desk. These two ladies were awesome!!!! My friend is definitely looking forward to staying at your hotel next time he is around. Thanks so much Rose!!! Rooms: Great and spacious! Walkability: Safe and pleasant.
