This is the 2 nd time here. 1st time was amazing. This time not so good. We decided to split a 16oz prime rib med well with a side of extra fries and waited mushrooms. We asked for an extra plate so we could split the steak. Steak came out split already and Med. called the manager over and advised the steak was not cooked to what we asked and he took both pieces away. So now we have plates of fries and mushrooms getting cold and 5 mins later the steak comes out and it s dry and really not that good. But we ate as we were hungry and didn t want to wait any longer. When we eat out and split something it s because my wife only wants maybe a 1/3 of what we are getting so we determine what to split and not the kitchen or server. So therefore after all this. Food wasn t good and service was like a 1 out of 5 as server was more interested in another take and our glasses were empty and we had to wait on refills. Not a good review considering our 1st time there was awesome.

My husband and I went to celebrate a couple weekends ago and our server was amazing. As we got sat one of the hostesses was cleaning a table off behind us and dropped some sauce which ended up splattering up the back of my dress (it was a decent amount) IMMEDIATELY the manager came and was offering to get my dress dry cleaned and continued to apologize throughout our dinner. It wasn t a big deal and I kept telling as much and I appreciated the offer. The food was outstanding. I got a steak and baked potato and my husband got a specialty chicken pasta (can t remember exactly what it was) but we LOVED it. Our server ended up letting us know our entire meal was comped due to the incident which blew our minds as it really wasn t a big deal. Customer service was amazing, from the hosts, to servers, to the managers themselves. We are definitely excited to go back and celebrate with them more!

Trying hard but missed the mark. Gumbo and rice pilaf were good. Prime Rib was woefully under seasoned really needed the horseradish. Scallops were ok, needed a good sear. Dinner salad was very good, cold and crispy.

Does it take a review for this company to contact the patron? I sent a contact email through the web page to attempt to resolve an issue with single diners. The website does not allow single diners to make a reservation. When attempting to dine at the bar as a single diner, the bar seating will be full with customers who are waiting to be seated with reservations. The hostess does nothing to help the single diner to be seated at the bar.

Last week was one of the hardest days of my life! I planned my baby brothers funeral and planned to have everyone at my home after! There was no way I could have pulled it off with this 107 plus degree heat! A huge thank you to Pelican and Ann Kelly for such a wonderful atmosphere at such a tragic time! Service is excellent. I had ribeye steak and it was perfectly cooked with adequate flavor. It can be loud at times, in case youre expecting a quiet setting. Ive never had a bad experience here. Its always a great time and superb atmosphere. If you sit at the bar, the bartenders are knowledgeable, courteous, and make outstanding drinks.

My husband and I have never been to Pelicans before and we re excited to try it out for the first time, I ll start by saying our waiter was great! He was so kind and kept up on refills and made sure everything went well, however the stars at based on food quality. The clam chowder truly tasted like it s from a can, so we were not impressed at all. We got the mixed veggies and those would of been great however both sides weren t cooked, the steak my husband ordered was cooked beautifully, but it just didn t have that flavor to it, for the price of the place I just wasn t impressed.

In town on business from Memphis, TN. Restaurant was recommended by some locals. It did not disappoint. Atmosphere was enjoyable, service was prompt and friendly, food was amazing. Had a cup of the Gumbo, best I ve had outside of New Orleans. I ordered the bacon wrapped scallops and ribeye. Both were delicious. Would definitely recommend this place.

Pretty decent place. Their ribeye was flavorful and the potato was just like any other. Our favorite dish was their Hot Honey salmon with Bacon Brussels Sprouts. Made the mistake of dinning here on what seemed to have been a very busy night for them although there was no wait for a table. Our server visited our table 3 times- for drinks, to take our order, and for the check. No drink refills and no one checked on us throughout the night. It was pretty good but probably won t be back.

Based on their menu prices and some online photos I thought Pelican s would ve been a really good restaurant but I was left a bit disappointed. Upon arriving I noticed they had plenty of parking and that it must ve been busy based on the availability of spots. Once inside, it did seem very busy but it s because it s pretty tight up front which is where their bar is. The bar has very little seating but I m assuming they re better known for their table service. I ordered a whiskey sour which was just made with sour mix and whiskey, I wasn t expecting anything fancy but considering they have pappy s, just using sour mix and a regular cherry and not making it with egg whites is a disservice. The bread provided was as hard as a baseball bat and was more like a long cracker. I had some raw oysters which were pretty tasteless and extra slimy. For my entree I had the filet with a loaded baked potato. The filet was pretty tasty and cooked to the perfect temp but the potato didn t even have the cheese melted. For a place that has $40/$50+ steaks I expected a bit more. Staff was friendly and casual but could ve been a bit more attentive.

Amazing dining experience! Stopped here for the first time last night and this place lives up to its reputation. The food was amazing, the service was spectacular and the ambience was outstanding. Their wine selection is top notch. I would recommend a reservation, but we were seated as soon as we walked in-but it was a Tuesday night. In spite of it being a Tuesday night, the place was 90% full. The menu online was the menu in the restaurant. They have daily specials that arent on the menu as well. Dietary restrictions: Plenty of options to choose from! Parking: plenty of parking Kid-friendliness: even though they have a full bar and plenty of wine, you can certainly dine here with your entire family Wheelchair accessibility: easy single story access with handicap spots right by the door

Before I critique anything Ill say this. Pelicans has the best steak in town. Now, the reason it isnt 5 stars comes down to the prices. I ordered a the 16oz ribeye. It came out correctly cooked, and the steak itself was adequately seasoned. The fat could have been rendered a little more, but overall it was tasty. While it was certainly well above average, it just fell a little short of what I would expect a near 50 dollar steak to be. For some of the other things that I was served. The bread was excellent, the fried mushrooms were exceptional, and the salad was certainly a cut above what most restaurants in town serve. Even the drinks didnt skimp on the alcohol during happy hour. My server was also attentive; i never went to long without her checking in. Overall the only issue I have with this establishment is the price is just a hair high for the quality. I dont think its unfair to want near perfection from your main entree when you are paying as much as they ask. That being said you wont find a better steak dinner in town, and I certainly look forward to coming back again.

Great spot to eat at! Nice and cozy atmosphere, reminds me of killkennys Irish pub in Tulsa, OK. Our server was Bailey and she was awesome! Very polite and very attentive. Great customer service. The service was great but I was really let down by the food. My husband got a NY strip but it was overcooked, unseasoned, and just really dry. Its a shame because they have such high quality ingrediants. I had a red snapper that was also overcooked, so it was very tough(struggled cutting it with my steak knife). Although the Ahi tuna and salad was very good. So basically if you want food that isnt overcooked, order raw fish, or veggies.

The Food was excellent and the server was sweet and attentive. However the atmosphere in the place didn t feel worth the price I paid to eat here. First off it was so dang loud that my wife and I couldn t even have a conversation because we couldn t hear each other. Secondly it was so hot that we were sweating just waiting for drinks (no alcohol) and food. It was hot to the point the server even made comments that it s usually like that here. I should give it five stars, but I cant help it. Im confused as to whats going on. Im just talking about what I encountered. As soon as I entered, the dark-skinned short girl at the front desk said that there were no free tables and asked me to sit at the bar if I wanted to. I asked how long it would take before there would be an empty table? She said it was all booked, no way! I had no choice but to say let s go to the bar, so she said OK and left me alone. I walked in and sat down at the bar. The bartender asked me what kind of wine I wanted to order. I said I wanted to order food and would wait until I saw what I wanted to drink. Then asked him if there are so many people every day? He was very nice, gave me a brief explanation, and then said he would help me find a table. So he took me to the front desk and asked a tall white girl to help me arrange a table. After I sat down, I found that the tables behind me and to the side were empty until I finished my meal. Customers came to the table behind me, and several other tables were empty. The waiters service was very good, but the front desk said there were no tables, so there was no way there was an empty table. I was the only Asian in this restaurant and I feel like this shouldnt happen in such a fancy restaurant. I hope the store can explain why. I went to this restaurant for dinner tonight around 5:30 pm, the front desk dark skin and short girl told me there is no table free, I can sit in bar table. I asked how long can I wait for a table, she said today is full, no way! So I accepted to sit in bar table, she said ok, then ignored me, so I went inside and found a seat sit in bar table by myself. The nice bartender asked me what drink did I want, I told him I actually want food first, I may order drink later. And I asked is it always busy as tonight, he explained today had a group of people. He also said he would find a table for me. Then he took me to the front desk, let a white tall girl find a table for me. The weird thing was there was a table behind me always free. There was no one sit there until I finished my food, and there were few free tables farther away from me. There were more free tables near me after I paid. I wondering what happened, the waitress and Bartender were so nice. But why there were few free tables however the dark short girl said no table and no way for a table. I am a Asian and first time to visit this fancy restaurant, if the restaurant owner see it, could you tell me what happened, was there a misunderstanding?

I made a reservation for Christmas Eve. We arrived at the restaurant and it was closed. No one bothered to call us, post a message on their Facebook page, or even post a note on the door of the establishment stating that they will be closed that day. I dont know how people who treat their customers in this manner remain in business. Good customer service is very important and it goes a long way. If you choose to give business to this kind of establishment, make sure you have a Plan B. Regardless, we took our business to another restaurant and had a very nice Christmas Eve dinner.

The Rib-eye my husband ordered was tender and flavored perfectly and I ordered the Garlic Mushroom Chicken which was superb. We truly enjoyed the whole experience. Our server was attentive, and very polite. We are from out of town and thoroughly enjoyed our evening. Thank-you!

This place was amazing! Our waitress, Elise, was friendly and so helpful in helping us choose items. Her recommendations were spot on. The Togarishi Tuna appetizer was great, as were the sirloin steaks and bacon jalapeño shrimp. The atmosphere was great casual but nice for date night. Very worth stopping for dinner!

Found this place by accident while traveling on vacation. The staff is outstanding, friendly, knowledgeable about the menu, all around fantastic. We started with amazing Tuna appetizer and ended with steak and shrimp. All was cooked and seasoned to perfection. This is a Witchita Falls hidden treasure. Well be stopping everything we pass through

Absolutely the worst food. I got steak and it was horrible, I could not eat it too tough no seasoning. My husband got pineapple chicken it wasn t too bad but not worth the money. Appetizer wasn t great either. It was fried zucchini and mushrooms. Never again and I will let all my friends know as well.

Outstanding! The steak was one of the best I ve ever had and I have had some steak. Took my wife for her birthday and she loved it. The staff really went the extra mile to make it a great night. It is a little pricey, but if you want quality you need to expect to pay for quality. Definitely going back and highly recommend to anyone.

We were told to ask for a particular server, we asked three times and the girls at the hostess stand just stared at us and ignored it. Very weird experience. The server we did get was great and food was very good.

Service was excellent and drinks kept full! The salad was the highlight of the meal. Lettuce was fresh and they served the good ranch. I ordered the combination of shrimp and catfish with a side of grilled vegetables. The shrimp was over breaded and the catfish had a bit too much salt. There was also a single hushpuppy that would have been great if fried for another minute. I d recommend you stick with the steak.

My wife and I loved this place, the atmosphere to the decor to the menu, all of it was spot on wonderful. Our steak was frilled to perfection, according to my wife, whos notoriously hard to admit perfection or close to. The menus pretty big but not overwhelming. Our server was warm friends;y, and the entire staff was very welcoming, she was both prompt and knowledgeable, had the perfect mix of just in time and letting us enjoy ourselves. Cannot recommend enough. Will be going back on return trip.

My husband and I frequent Pelicans as often as we can on date nights. The food and chefs are amazing. My favorites that are menu staples are the fried catfish and salmon. For appetizers, I LOVE their seared ahi tuna. I love how there are rotating items every time we come. Its a great atmosphere for a date night and the food is always delicious.
