So. Sit back and relax. These folks gotcha covered. Have a cold beer or a cocktail and wait for a true west texas mesquite grilled steak done Big Country right. Fried quail legs made me feel like a giant eating a chicken leg quarter, and they were tender and crispy. My boys cleaned their plates, then helped me finish my Ribeye. Jade was a great server, on point. Much appreciated.

My wife and I sat at the bar and we had the best time visiting with Sunny, Caleb and Caleb. They were all super nice and there service was on point the whole time. The steak, chicken,wedge salad and fried okra were some of the best we have had. Beer was super cold and the peach cobbler and banana pudding were incredible!

So--The building and set up are just not impressive-- then I saw the prices-- and thought This better be a knock-out meal. I wasnt disappointed. Had the Steak Salad. The steak was super tender, really flavorful, and plentiful. Dressing was good, but the salad was lacking a little on ingredients. I like some tomatoes in my salad, which are weirdly not included. All in all-- not sure about return visit. Its kinda pricey for an almost cafeteria vibe.

We ate here.2 nights in a row. The jalapeño poppers were fantastic but that is where the good things ended. Night 1 I ordered a Godfather cocktail with bourbon. They made it with scotch. I ordered a glass of Malbec that I never received. They were out of steak tips (which I thought were just cut up bigger streaks). Night 2- ordered cocktails that took 20 minutes to arrive. The place was only half full. My kid ordered a baked potato only and they waited until everyone elses food came out to tell her they were out of potatoes. This place charges an automatic gratuity with parties as few as 6 people which gives them zero incentive to provide good customer service. This place charges way to much money to offer the service we were given on either night. This is sad because in years past this was a good place to frequent. On a downhill slide. Kid-friendliness: About 6 different options for kids. Good selection.

1st time visiting and had a great experience. Four of us visited LL&C, and each ordered something different. Everyone agreed about the flavor and taste of the steaks, as they were well prepped! Jalapeño Poppers were awesome! Service was 2nd to none as our glasses were always full, and the waitress would ask if anything else was needed but wasnt overbearing with visits. Will I return . . . You bet! Keep doing what you are doing LL&C and will see you again in the near future.

The food is always amazing! Loved the way the staff interacted with their customers. We were there, and management stopped by and talked with us. Arrived for dinner with 8, told 60 min and, after waiting past 60 we stood at the hostess stand til we finally were told we could sit on the patio. Several others complained that they were past expected time and were told you missed our call and your table was given away ! Didn t want to compete with live music and was overwhelmed. Service was good but food was mediocre. Rain began and roof began to leak significantly. Talked with owner and manager. Little ownership. Blamed 16 yr olds for hostess issue. Expensive evening that was not enjoyable!

Rip Off is all I will say. All I can say is don t order the 6 piece grilled shrimp. I was expecting colossal size shrimp, considering that was an entrée, but the shrimp were smaller than what you get on a Walmart shrimp ring. I ordered a margarita on the rocks which came frozen. They forgot about my salad which was a side with my meal overall it was just very disappointing. I feel like you can t go anywhere these days and get good food and good service. It s disappointing to have to make a bad review, but it is what it is. It shouldn t be hard to get an order correct & hold your employees to high standards. So i went all out on the Abilnian or what have ya,, medium, and It was cook to likings for sure. The flavor was not there for 55.95, didnt bleed enough to dip bites back In the flavor, dojt get me wrong was a very good steak, waitress was new but she was spot on to detail on what what needed between appetizers and meal, we will most definitely be back, no doubt, just not for the steak! My wife and I ate lunch here today. We wont be back. Sweet Potato was cold, salad had old/brown lettuce, pork chops were dry and over cooked. Pork chops and Steak didnt have any seasoning and instead was covered in black soot and ash like the wood in the grill was not burning correctly and seemed like the cooking grill/grates never get scraped clean. None of the wait staff or hostess seemed to be in a good mood. No one ever came to ask if our food was okay after we started eating and no one asked how our meal was once we were finished eating, or as we were paying the bill or when we were leaving. We expected WAY better service and food quality for the prices they charge. Just lunch cost us $100.00.

Went here with my family of 4,I ordered the Fried chicken sandwhich, the others got a seafood platter and a grilled cheese kids meal, the food took 30 mins to come out, after I took 3 bites of my sandwhich, I noticed it was a chicken finger sandwhich instead of what I ordered, when i asked the waitress about it she said the fry cook put the fingers on it instead because they were already made (for who knows how long) and he didnt want the chicken to take too long to cook, she offered another one made the right way, but then thr manager came and said we would have to pay for both, since i already ate my chicken sandwich, which was still on the table, so I decided to not get the other one, when we got the check they charged us for the chicken sandwich and not the chicken finger sandwich, which is $3 less. Notes: Waitress was inattentive . Manager didnt seem to care, unapologetic, rude. Fry cook purposely gave wrong food, supposedly without communicating with anybody about it.

I had really heard great things about this place so I was looking forward to a great steak for lunch. I arrived at 12:43pm, seated promptly and had a waiter (Bobby) get my drink order and ask for my food order before I looked at the menu. I asked him to give me a minute to look at the selections. He returned about 10 mins later with my tea and to take my order. I chose the ribeye pieces rare. Promptly I was brought a salad and soon after bread. Garden salad was of good portion with small cup of dressing. Bread was hot and fresh small wheat loaf with whipped butter. I waited until 1:45 pm. To ask about my steak- a full hour after arrival- I had another appointment to be at at 2pm. He promptly returned with my steak and loaded potato and informed me it had only been 14 mins since it was placed. Im not sure what happened between the time he took my order and when he placed it but it had been 45 mins since I had placed the order. The steak was seasoned wonderfully but was cooked medium well/well with no pink. I think if cooked correctly and served in a timely manner it would be great but with the circumstances I waited a long time for a wrongly cooked steak with a less than friendly waiter. I had to ask a second waitress for a box and to go as I no longer had time to finish eating.

Our group of five arrived before noon to beat the Sunday lunch crowd. There was a confusing sign on the inside of the door window that said they were closed, but they were open. The 3 steaks and 1 salmon were good cuts and cooked properly, but ALL of our food was served COLD even the baked potatoes. The portions were very small and the serving size of the meat was not on the menu. The steak salad was a joke. It was a tiny bit of meat on top of a large bed of lettuce with nothing else. The side salads included 2 small tomatoes and 2 rings of red onion, but the entree salad had NONE. Another oddity was the awkwardly huge fork in one set of eating utensils. Our server did a decent job, though he disappeared for a long time. We had to wait for the bill. Customers want plenty of good food when they dine out, and we are willing to pay for it. Why is it so difficult to find any more?

I ve been here one time before and I remember it being pretty good. I had gone there again recently for a going away dinner with a coworker and their family. I ordered the Abilenian and that had to be the most tasteless steak I ve had in a very long time. I had to add salt and pepper to even get a decent tasting steak. This establishment prides its self on its steaks and it s definitely not worth the 55 dollars I spent on that single steak. The drinks were pretty good as well as the appetizers but again I was very disappointed on the main course. I even drove up from San Angelo just to drive back disappointed. I will say the atmosphere was pretty decent.

We had my 50th bday dinner at Lytle Land and Cattle. So disappointing. My niece order a med rare Abilenian steak that cost $55!! It was dry and flavorless. My sister order the chicken fry steak and it was mostly batter. The fries were cold and gross and the coleslaw was horrible. So sour. My son sat for over 45 min without a refill on his drink. He requested it twice and the wait staff would not come back for a long time and when she did she forgot his drink. We used to enjoy this place but we will be going to Texas Road House from now on. This place is definitely not worth even half the price. Don t waste your money

Worst experience at a food establishment in recent history. I asked for a glass of water 4 times, it took over 2 hours to get a water. We had a reservation for a large group but were told they were busy with another group. Evidently 1 waiter was trying to balance both large groups. My shrimp was super salty, especially with no water. My biggest issue was the way the issues were addressed or rather not addressed. When I asked for my check and the water again (it was also very very warm in the room we were in and reminded the waiter that I had already requested water 4 times and never received, he said I know. No apology. I waited while other people asked for check and the manager and for the long wait for food to be addressed and he said I didnt know you were in a hurry. Well the reservations were for 5:15 and its 7:30...and we still have people with no food. We had 3 people that never received food and left, 1 that waited for food that never arrived and left after 3 hours to eat at another restaurant. When we finally were able to speak with a manager she was not helpful. She said that didnt sound like the waiter and he was one of their best. She kept asking the lady with no food if she had a to go salad (she did not). I was finally able to tell the manager that the lady with no food had not had a chance to order to go or address the fact she had not received food. When we mentioned 1 waiter trying to handle 2 large groups and the fact that we had asked for tickets and a manager over 30 minutes before she said Im busy too. A slow kitchen or bad dish can happen anywhere, poor customer service is unacceptable. The manager never came back even after finding out someone had no food and wanted to order something else instead of her original dish that never came. Sad that a once upstanding establishment has a manger that allows this to happen and just walks off. I saw the waiter speak with her twice before she came to speak with those of us who had asked to speak with a manager

Appetizers are fine service was fine. All main courses were horrible chef should be fired. Burger was so dry no amount of ketchup helped, steak was ordered rare came out medium well, but at least it was still juicy, quail was the same as the burger, so dry you had to take a drink with every bite.

We had our first time experience hosting our company Christmas party here. Lytle Land by far exceeded our expectations. The room, the decor and even the food was phenomenal. The chill mood environment of the room sat well with our dinner. Our server Leslie and the gentlemen who served us were amazing at their job and accommodated each and everyone of our team. Real country-esque restaurant. The service and food was outstanding. Professional, polite, and timely. The decor is country and cowboy themed; done well. Definitely if Im back in town, Im stopping by for a delicious meal. What we ordered (chicken fried chicken and steak tips in baked potato was fantastic. Actually done just right and very reasonable cost. They have outstanding looking steaks on the menu, priced a bit high. Im sure theyre tasty as anything. Pulling up to the restaurant you could the incredible flavor in the air. No joke, it was really good. Parking: A large number of spots for their restaurant.

I had the Schnitzel. Not the normal German kind. It was a thick cut breaded pork loin with options of brown or white gravy. Guess its a Texas style. But it was delicious. Bread loaf was very bland & kind of tough - did not care for it. Waitress was great & always checked on us & our drinks. Would definitely go again.

Blue Cheese steak salad had about a teaspoon of blue cheese in it. The last time I ordered it, the blue cheese was way too much. There s no consistency in how food is prepared. At least they listened to my request not to put bacon crumbs on it. The last order had bacon crumbs on it. The green chili soup was very salty. My dog wouldn t even touch it. I also ordered banana pudding but when I got home, banana pudding was NOT in the bag!! Service was awful. I arrived on time per their instructions. I waited another fifteen minutes at pickup before a waiter asked if I needed help. I waited another 15 minutes before my order was handed to me!!!

The service was great. Several things we wanted we were told they were out of. One wanted t bone steak, they said they were out of them ,aso he ordered a sirloin steak . Then the person that cuts the steaks was at our table. He said if he had been told they were out of t bones. He would have cuts some. Another wanted bacon wrapped asparagus. They were out. I have horrible food allergies, and our server made sure my food was safe to eat! Additionally, we were put at an ADA-friendly table, and the bathroom was ADA-friendly. It was out of TP in the ADA stall, and I had to give my mom some, but they fixed it once I told them what was up. Our server was super nice, too. Great visit. I will go back.

The service was, well, pitiful, and I m being liberal, way liberal. To add insult to injury, we paid the minimum 18% for a group of 7 .was not worth 5%. Due to some negative reviews on this site we entered with some trepidation. All fears proved unfounded. What a delightful experience from start to finish! We had last been here six years ago, as we live in Florida. Olivia was a pure delight- personable, knowledgeable, and spot on server and human being! My mesquite grilled filet was perfect medium rare. My wife s mini grilled salmon was not overcooked, which is a tricky thing with a small piece. We weren t sure which Cabernet to order but Olivia offered samples and we chose the Directors Cut.

In town for work with Boss Lady. Stopped here due to a recommendation. For being a steakhouse, the steak wasnt prime beef. Our server was pleasant and kept checking on us...kudos. I ordered a couple of drinks from the bar, which must have been via smoke signals, because it took way too long to arrive. We ordered a steak and a pork chop. She had the steak ,which was cooked to order...medium. Problem was that it was tough and had lots of grizzle. I wasnt that hungry so I ordered a single pork chop, green beans and mashed potatoes. The PC had good flavor from the seasoning, but the green beans desperately needed salt, and the mash was flavorless. Great western atmosphere, but well try someplace else next time.

I travel around the country working and having eaten a countless restaurants this was the worst restaurant experience I ve had in my life. We were seated at what seemed to be a kiddie table in the corner of the restaurant. Two different servers walked in to our are on three separate occasions with neither one walking over to our table to acknowledge we had been seated. After waiting for ten minutes and watching one of the servers have a discussion with another server while pointing in our direction, one of the servers whom had checked on another table across from us twice finally came over to our table to aske for drink orders. After observing the young man s actions from the time we were seated I asked him if there was a problem to which he replied no. I went ahead and placed out food order with our drink order. The restaurant itself was not busy with only three other people seated on the side of the restaurant opposite the bar. I ordered quail legs and fried pickles for an appetizer. The fried pickles (pictured) had a bunch of fried batter from some other food where the grease hadn t been strained. The grilled quail was overcooked and the fried quail legs were undercooked with a unflavored batter on it. The quail legs were served with a flavorless white sauce. My Wife s glass was empty and we realized we had been in the restaurant for about an hour and the server had not been back to the table. We decided to leave. As we were getting up the server was coming back with the entrees to a small table that he had not come back to remove any of the dives from the appetizers. I told the servers we were leaving and we did not want the food because of the poor service and the unacceptable about of time we had to wait. He asked if we wanted a box!!! He took the food back to the kitchen and he and the cooks a a few chuckles. I reiterated my want to pay for the appetizers and be on my way to the guy at the door. Rather than waste anymore time of my life there I asked him how much the two apps cost so I could leave cash and he told me to look it up in the menu. I took a twenty dollar bill from my wallet and laid it on his podium and walked out of the restaurant. Definitely won t be going back and will be relaying my experience to anyone who mentions this establishment.

Been here over an hr and waiter was confused about which table he had, no refills on our drinks provided. The quail was poorly seasoned, the fried pickles were ok but had some fried krispy stuff in the basket with it that was gross. We waited so long that we decided to pay for what we had and leave. As we were leaving the waiter walks up with our order and we told him we were leaving and we didn t want our food and we would pay for the appetizers and drinks. Not very happy with my experience on this fine Friday night. Waitress took forever for our drinks, waited 20+ minutes for ONE beer. And have been currently waiting almost an hour for our food.
