After experiencing its vibrant lotería ambiance and exceptional service, I wholeheartedly endorse this neighborhood restaurant. The tortillas are generously sized and freshly made. Our meal began with chips and salsa, the salsa offering a perfect balance of flavor without overwhelming heat. I opted for the pork chops and eggs dish, which proved to be delicious, accompanied by a side of flavorful refried beans. While there were occasional challenges in capturing the staff s attention for adjustments, the overall dining experience was truly outstanding.

True hole in the wall but a must stop if passing through Wichita Falls! In the front of the building you can place to go orders and around the side by the parking area, they have the dine in restaurant where you seat yourself. Being from LA and living in Houston it s not easy to find carne guisada that has the right amount of blended spices. The sauce was perfect and not greasy. We had a cocktel de camarón, plain carne guisada burrito and a Burrito Supreme of tripitas soo good! The tripitas were perfect as well, soft and crunchy and cut the right size to eat. The cocktel de camarón was good too, shrimp, onions, cilantro, avocado slices were all fresh and not spicy, which I prefer, that way I can add my own level of heat. The staff in the to go side are young but very nice and courteous. Would definitely be back!

We have had breakfast tacos/burritos from all over. This place was one of the few that really stood out. The burrito was huge and very good. Salsas were also very good. If you live here or are passing through I would highly recommend this place.

This is an awesome little local fave. The first of two locations, this eatery has an old Mexico feel. Their breakfast is especially good. My faves are the steak omelets and chilaquiles. Cant go wrong. And their corn chips are made in-house, I believe. Very good. Vegetarian options: Meat is a staple here, tho I believe it is possible to order special to avoid it. Potatoes, rice, and beans, eggs, and veggie fajitas.

I got worried when I saw a penny on the table from last customer. The food was outstanding. We hadnt been in years. Seemed even better now. Incredible Menudo. The service was TERRIBLE. When she wasnt on her phone, she was eating at a table nearby, or she was chatting up the kitchen staff. I had to flag dorm a different waitress for more water ( menudo is Hot!) and more coffee. She never looked at her section, needs retraining or go back to washing dishes.

Came here because my boss said the breakfast burritos were very good. So i got a supreme breakfast burrito, which was eggs, potatoes, chorizo, refried beans and ham, cheese, lettuce, tomatoes and sour cream. Man they were fire. One thing i need more of is a place like this. Very good food

Oh man, let me tell you about this hidden gem I stumbled on. I mean, Ive had my fair share of Mexican food, but this place just blew my mind! Im talking about some of the most authentic, mouth-watering, and downright delicious Mexican cuisine Ive had in a long time. Im giving this place a solid 5 stars, and heres why. First off, the Tacos Sincronizadas. Holy guacamole, these bad boys were out of this world! The flavors were so perfectly balanced, and the ingredients were incredibly fresh. Its like they took a little piece of Mexico and served it up on a plate. I could taste the love and passion that went into making these tacos, and I couldnt get enough of them. Now, let me paint you a picture. We arrived at El Norteno just before closing time, and you know how some places can get a little grumpy when you show up late? Not these guys. The staff were so polite and welcoming, it felt like we were being invited into their home. They didnt rush us or make us feel like we were inconveniencing them. Instead, they treated us like family, and thats something you dont find every day. The atmosphere at El Norteno was warm and inviting, with a touch of that laid-back, Mexican charm. It was the perfect setting to enjoy some amazing food and share a few laughs with friends. And speaking of laughs, the staff were not only polite but also had a great sense of humor. Its always a bonus when you can have a good time while enjoying a fantastic meal. In a world where its easy to find mediocre Mexican food, El Norteno stands out as a shining example of what authentic Mexican cuisine should taste like. I cant recommend this place enough, and Im already looking forward to my next visit. If you havent been to El Norteno yet, do yourself a favor and go check it out. The atmosphere is simple clean and quiet, the food is absolutely wonderful. One of the best burritos in town. Parking: There are some obstacles in the parking lot, parking was easy but we were not there during a busy time of day. If it were busier it would be very hard to find a parking spot. The parking lot needs work it is the only reason it did not get five stars all the way across.

Very good Chorizo and Pastor tacos, but, they only use 1 tortilla per taco, must ask for a second (50¢ extra each). With 2 tortillas, they are delicious! Add some jalapeños, green salsa, reposado, and they are very good. Only second to Gutierrez.
