Disgusting, DOG FOOD Turkey, SCRAP MEAT. When I walked in during lunch time to grab my wife something to eat, because shes on this new carnivore diet. I thought okay... What can be better than barbecue. There wasnt a line nor a huge crowd so I thought this is perfect, Im in the peak of lunch hour, and theres no one here what could be better!!! I should of saw the red flag from there, because what BBQ joint isnt packed during lunch hour. There was a Caucasian lady in the front helping another senior couple; Id had never been there before so I wasnt really sure how to enter the line, so I turned around and went behind the petition that was leading to the service line. The lady obviously saw that I was coming in there for some food, But as soon as I made it to the front of The line past the petition she disappeared. I called out hello several times before being greeted by a African American man that was way in the back. Initially I thought I should just leave because that was pretty messed up how she completely ignored me, but black people do what they do best which is save the situation. Eventually I was serviced however the options that were left on that grill was horrible. I honestly thought that they were going to grab some fresh stuff from the back but he never did. He mentioned that I was all that they had so I went with it. Rather I was looking around because again, I had never been there before and as soon as I turned back to look at the plate he had already made it, And in my mind Im thinking oh that was pretty fast. I got the three meat option plate, But when I asked to look at the plate he did seem to hesitate for a second. He then proceeded to lift up the foil I asked him is that all that Im getting for the price that Im paying for ? He said well thats the portions, but if I tell you that ish looked like it could literally fit in my hand thats how small the portions were. Ask him if he could add just those few more slices of brisket or turkey he looked like he didnt want to, even after I told him Ill pay for it. Soo looking again the man gave me just a few more slices of whatever, and it wasnt until I was paying I noticed they literally charged me full price even though I told him I wasnt getting a full pound. My wife was grateful, she mentioned that the food was unseasoned and lacked the taste of any kind, burnt, and seemed to be no more than just leftovers that you would give your dog. She mentioned , and as I saw that the ribs had hardly any meat, and were more of the fatty pieces, but due the timing I wanted to just get out there at that point. I even tipped the service workers pretty fair, because I felt pretty bad there was hardly anyone there, but now I SEE WHY. And the service could be much better considering the location. My spirit knew to just walk out when that first lady did the disappearing act on me. Shame on me for giving them the benefit of the doubt. OVERPRICED! Horrible food! Scraps! And tasteless, the only thing that seemed okay was the bread, but who TF goes to a BBQ joint just for good bread.

Green beans were off temperature. I didnt eat them, so wasted money. They never have Shiner Bock available (the last two times i went there). We ran out. or Only have warm Shiner Bock. The brisket was good. They prioritize to go orders so you will be standing in line and ignored while they prepare to go orders. They will do this even if you are the only person waiting. I will never hear, Ill be right with you.

Ate there yesterday. Had to wait 5 min to get service. Bun was hard and stale and the sides were minimal and not fresh. We have been there many times but it seems like things are not same. I noticed no supervision and prices are a lot higher ( higher than inflation rate ) . Turned off and will not be going there anymore

The BBQ is great, we have been to the restaurant several times. The sides are really good! My kids LOVE the macaroni and cheese and so is the fried okra! They bring around warm bread to your table! All very good! Tonight we did Uber Eats. We ordered the marbled brisket and okra.and Unfortunately we received mixed (I have no idea why anyone would ever choose dry aka lean brisket over marbled!?). We called the restaurant and even though it seems we may have inadvertently selected the wrong cut of meat in the app, he offered to remake it. I love it when a restaurant makes things right! It was DELICIOUS moist and perfectly smoked with a nice bark. Of course the bread came warm and soft and the okra crispy and fried to perfection! We will eat here again!

Having high expectations, I was disappointed. The people are great, but the food just lacked flavor. I had the turkey and sausage. The turkey was moist, but IMHO, lacked smokeyness. Sausage ranks up with Eckrich. But with a too thick skin that was chewy. Same with the pickles. Thick skins. Flavor was good. The beans aldo needed more smoke flavor.

So I have to say I loved this place the past 5 years but today I came in and was very disappointed. I ordered a chopped lean beef baker and a regular one which is our regular order. First, the lean beef one was barely warm the cheese wouldn t even melt. I don t like sending things back but I asked them to remake it. The food was remade without an apology or anything. I got more of a annoyed vibe from the guy. The remake had like maybe a tablespoon of beef on it! I took one bite trying to just deal with it and was so frustrated I just asked for a refund because I was literally eating a $15 potato with no meat! Again no apology or attempt at service recovery! They should be less focused on their chants and focus on quality and service. I will not be returning.

Two Nice things I can say about the Brisket are it was made in Texas and it was moist IE not over cooked. Great Brisket doesn t need sauce to save it. No Bark, No Smoke Ring / flavor. And - Yes the sauce was good. Baked beens were good little on the soupy side & didn t see any onions or pieces of meet tosses in. Potato Salad was perfect and the fresh hot roll an unexpected addition. Mondays not the best night of the week for Brisket. Will see who s open tomorrow. All-In-All, A Good Meal for a fair price. Served by a Great Team.

We ordered the Family pack (2 meats, 3 sides, rolls) and it was $75. I received about 6-8 ounces of brisket, 6-8 ounces of pulled pork. The sides were highly average; baked beans, Mac & cheese and corn on the cob. The corn was just bad. It was 2 pieces of corn cut in half. Bottom line: for the price I paid, it was just not worth. I think a fair price for what I received would have been about $40, not $75. I won t be coming back.

Its always a consistent BBQ. A go to, but only at the 4-Stars since there are better places around, especially when it comes to the brisket. The bread is soooo good though, and my favorite is the peppered sausage. Another must have is taking the Mac n cheese and loading it with BBQ sauce.

This review is for Spring Creek Barbeque located at 4895 Highway 6, Missouri City, Texas. The food was excellent. I have been at a couple of places in Austin,Texas well known for their Texas barbecue but they did not even come close to Spring Creek Barbeque in Missouri City, Texas. The brisket was so tender, juicy and flavorful. The beans had the right flavor and taste for a barbecue. Even the gravy tasted so good. Of course, let s not forget the rolls. They were fresh, warm and so enjoyable to eat. The service was excellent. The customers really appreciated Mark as he kept checking on them and was very pleasant in doing so. Count, one of the first people I met when entering the restaurant was very welcoming, efficient and friendly. Before I left the restaurant, I met Cydney who was also very kind and pleasant. Obviously, I had a very good experience at this restaurant. Between the good food and the very professional behavior of the employees, this is a restaurant that I would like to return to as well as recommend to other people. Robert G.

First time eating there. For the price the portions were small. Im a small guy and the 3 meat 2 sides plate with the bread added had me wanting more. Food was pretty good but not enough for price paid. Register person was very personable and customer oriented. Restaurants is good. The servers and staff were all nice and it seems like they have a good system to serve lots of people. The restaurant was clean and no issues with hygiene even in bathroom. Its our fourth time coming here, and weve ordered delivery about three times, so I think we can consider ourselves loyal customers. The previous experiences were quite good, which is why we kept coming back. However, todays experience fell far below our expectations. Firstly, the meat cutter, whom we had never seen before a black man seemed new and still undergoing training. I always order two meats with marbled cuts of brisket, but todays portion was significantly less than before, almost half the usual amount. And he made a mess when cutting; its not a slice of meat, more like a chunk. I tried the pulled pork today, which had a barbecue sauce flavor that I enjoyed. But the portion was pretty small, too. Weve tried almost all the sides, so I decided to try the corn this time. Unfortunately, it was terrible watery, tasteless, and with a strange texture, as if it had been soaked in water for an entire day.

We had a hankering for a brisket stuffed potato so we stopped here to give it a try. We picked a good time, because they werent so busy. As typical, you go through a service line where they prep your food and walk away to a table after paying. . The potatoes were a good size, loaded with butter, sour cream, cheese, and brisket. I could have used more sauce--Im a sauce person--but it was fine. I added onions, pickles, and jalapenos from the fixings bar. . I also got some sausage, since Ive recently begun making my own and I wanted to compare. It was good, nothing to complain about. . Just when we were stuffed, a young lady came around offering mini loaves of bread fresh from the oven. It looked so good, but another bite and weda popped. . There was ample seating. They have a party room where we could see a birthday party going on. Fun!

Best brisket I ve ever had! I ve sampled lots of barbecue in the Houston area, and this is about the best I found. I can also say the mild sausage and pulled pork is excellent (and I m from Georgia so that s saying something). The sauce is just perfect to me, a little sweet and not too spicy. Plus they keep it hot. I ve been here probably a dozen times and always, service has been smooth and brisket was hot and delicious. Honestly, I don t need a lot of fake smiles; efficient, accurate, and friendly is enough for me. All the people here did their jobs well. The lunch specials are a good value, even though the prices gone up by 50% in the last few years. There is usually so much meat I cannot finish it all. I do love the hot fresh bread, and they bring it around until I have to finally pass it up! Ive been getting the pulled pork recently since, with the new lunch specials prices, pork is $2 cheaper than the brisket. I can say the pork is always tender. The sauce seems to be mustard-based but is a nice balance between sweet and tangy and has just the right amount of pepper. One thing I dont understand is why their phones seem to ring throughout the dining area. Why do customers need to hear every time your phone rings? Its not just in the background; its actually quite loud and distracting.

Theyve gotten really skimpy on the meat, yet the prices are higher. I used to eat, here quite a bit but the atmosphere is not friendly anymore. Staff seems sad and depressed. The food is ok, but not worth the hour and a half drive I used to enjoy making prior to all these unsavory changes.

First time here. The place was clean and played music. The staff was exceptionally positive and helpful! They also offered samples of the brisket and sausages to see which I preferred. That said the black pepper sausage was tasty! However the brisket seemed bland and the mild sausage also was lackluster. I had fries, which count as two sides, and they were.... not great. There is a decent amount given, and they are seasoned well, but they were not hot or even all that warm really. They needed ketchup. Oh, they make fresh bread, which is tasty. However, $20 for ok food and drink isnt worth it to me. Again, though, excellent service. I would choose elsewhere if asked.

For years, there used to be a huge problem of order reliability, especially with take-out. Thankfully, this appears to have been resolved completely! They have an online system which is easy and reliable. The employees take care to explicitly prove that your order has been fulfilled. The food is great. Their bread is superb. Top notch meat. My first visit to this Texas BBQ spot was an interesting journey. Upon arrival, I learned the unique ordering process: first, you place your order, then you find your seat. Additionally, the BBQ sauce, unfortunately, lacked the homemade touch I had hoped for, leaving me underwhelmed. On the brighter side, the potato salad and slaw were standouts, boasting rich flavors that complemented the meats perfectly. As for dessert, the vanilla ice cream paired with peach cobbler was a delightful treat, with the vanilla particularly stealing the show. Stopped in and I was pleasantly surprised. For a chain bbq joint the food is pretty solid. I ordered the brisket and sausage plate with potato salad and beans. Brisket was nice and tender and the sausage was good. I guess my only gripes were the potato salad had a few more onions than I care for and I m not a fan of sweet barbecue sauce. The baked bread is good, they actually have someone come around the tables with a basket of warm bread. But overall the service was great and bbq was good for a chain joint (imo better than Rudy s)

Great place, very clean. Food was fresh and fast, and everyone was very friendly and cashier helped my injured brother get his tray to the table without us even asking. The guy with the hot rolls was very nice and funny .

Went there with my husband, very disappointed with things we saw. We ordered same thing a customer ahead us ordered which was chopped beef. When we placed our order the woman behind counter put our chopped beef on plate from a container from below where she was standing, but she didn t get the person ahead of us chopped beef from same area. OURS DID NOT LOOK LIKE HIS AT ALL. WE HAVE WARNED OTHERS ABOUT THE SPRINGHILL IN MISSOURI CITY. We will NEVER purchase food from this place again! Be careful & keep your eyes open. I hope you feel what I m saying!!

Wed Aug 2nd 4:20 pm Im sitting in the parking lot now wanting to let you know that I just went in to order some meals and desserts togo and the girl taking my order had an attitude and acted like I was bothering her. Asked for some modifications and she looked at me like she had never heard of it before. Then when she told the guy at the cobbler/roll station that I had ordered a cobbler. He raised his voice across the room, ANOTHER ONE? And the girl responded back yea I dont know what it is today about the cobbler? He said that it was his 3rd one and he did not have time to keep serving cobbler. He acted like it was going to be some big chore to scoop out 1 scoop of ice cream/cobbler and put it in a bag. Mind you there were only a few customers there. Not like they were busy or anything. I have never experienced this kind of behavior in this resturant before. made me feel unwelcome. I felt like canceling my order and walk away.

The corn on the cob was a little cold and dry. Chicken could have been a little more done. No real butter, just margarine. Hot rolls kept coming though and they were great!!! Service was exceptional!!!

I ordered brisket to pick up and take home. I got home and the brisket was dry as a bone. I ordered a mix, moist and regular. All so dry we had to flood it with sauce to get it down. Sad. $26.00 Purely Wasted. Should have driven the 7 miles to Rudys.

Update 6/30/23: I sent an email to management as they requested in their response to my post, but I never heard back. Im hoping they didnt send their reply only in an attempt to lessen any negative response by the readers - feels sleezy but we seem be witnessing more and more of this type of behavior. I picked up baby back ribs, brisket and fried okra for my family for Fathers Day. The okra was burned crispy and the ribs were disgusting - tasted like days old food. Very disappointed!

It is clear that take out business is what they value. Service for in house dining was subpar. I had to wait while the one meat cutter prepared a number of to go orders before he would take my order. Then I was done with my meal by the time they got fries to me (and even then only after I went up and asked). In addition, the rolls here were much smaller and heavier than what I am used to at Spring Creek. Staff was responsive bit not oboerly friendly. Honestly it looks like this location has a management problem. We eat at other Spring Creeks frequently but dont get to this part of town very often. This one is definitely the minor leagues.

Stopped in for a late lunch. We were greeted as soon as we walked in the door and around the corner. Lovely staff, almost everyone spoke (the only one who didnt was the lady who brought our okra), answered questions and several were quite engaging! For those whove never been (this was my first time too), this restaurant does it cafeteria style. You get a tray, utensils, then choose your meat, sides, etc...you go to the end, pay and choose a table. There is someone walking around with bread. The food was good! The pulled pork didnt need anything added to it. Great flavor, moist, fantastic bark! The turkey was good with or without barbecue sauce. The pepper sausage was good! The pinto beans were outstanding! The potato salad was ok. The okra was good, but needed salt. We will definitely be back!

Ive been going here for well over a year now and each visit was favorable. The bbq is delicious and I love smoked meats. The staff are pleasant, efficient in their duties and make every effort to ensure their service meets your needs. Oh! Good barbecue. I order the 2 meat plate with brisket and black pepper sausage which, in my opinion, is the best tasting sausage Ive had of all the BBQ places I know. I prefer dining here after 1 pm when its quiet and I can relax and enjoy my food without rush.
