I was really looking forward to trying Popeyes in Wichita Falls, but my experience was incredibly disappointing. Food: I ordered the classic chicken combo, but the chicken was dry and lacked flavor. It seemed like it had been sitting for a while. The biscuits were also overcooked and hard, making them nearly inedible. Service: The service was another letdown. The staff seemed overwhelmed and unfriendly. I had to wait longer than expected for my order, and when I finally got it, the wrong items were included. I tried to get assistance, but the staff was unresponsive and seemed more focused on other tasks than helping customers. Ambiance: The dining area was not well-maintained, with tables that weren t cleaned properly. The overall atmosphere felt chaotic and uninviting. Overall: Unfortunately, my visit to Popeyes in Wichita Falls did not meet my expectations. With subpar food and service, I likely won t be returning anytime soon. I hope they can improve, as I ve heard good things about Popeyes elsewhere.

Went there for the first time, pulled in the parking lot, looked like the employee was about to head to break, set the tune for the whole order. Service felt super forced and a burden to order, would recommend other places that have chicken lol unless u like the feeling of being unnwanted , if so than go here

Visited for a takeout order. Food I got was very good although I suggest not getting fries in your order unless you are going to consume on premises. My home is 10 minutes away and by the time I got home and sit down to eat, fries were no longer crispy. Taste wise the food is very good. With their new box special, it is not as expensive as it used to be, which is the reason why I stopped patronizing popeyes. I made the mistake of getting chicken wings but it is my fault. The wings I got could only come from pigeons. They were so small that there was barely any meat on them. Just bones and fried bread batter. Do not order wings from Popeyes. They are not for wings. Get your legs, thighs and breasts and be happy. One thing I noticed, the taste of biscuits in the package went way downhill. Even dennys biscuits are better than theirs now. And I wasnt given any honey in my to go bag to make them a little more pallatable.

The food was overall good besides the bugs that where flying on top of my food,I ordered a chicken sandwich and my whole family was done eating by the time I got it and when you ask them about the bugs they tell you it is part of it and when you ask to complain they tell you it is the best food ever and I am going to be honest I feel really sick after eating I wouldn t recommend to my worst enemy.

Not sure why Im leaving this review but here we are... There is always something missing in my order but I know to check and they always make it right. I believe they are just testing my awareness and I appreciate that. I have always had great customer service except for that one time...I forgive them. I say 5 stars because why not you know? The red beans and rice are worth 5 stars to me. UPDATE 3/17/23 : Im going to be honest, I lied and havent always had great customer service here BUT today Hunter (best employee ever) truly showed up. Best customer service I have ever had here (Ive been going for over 10 years). Please promote Hunter to Ownership of Popeyes. I say Hunter you say Five Stars. AMEN. UPDATE 3/5/24: It pains me to do this but from 5 to 1 we go. The order taker (lets call him Taker) must have been mad at me with his short, non welcoming tone when taking my order. I looked past this and tried to give him a smile and hows your day at the window but to my demise...I received no attention (and I love attention). Remember how I said I always check my order..I didnt (my bad) and I had the wrong side. Went back and Taker was still mad at me at the speaker. Had to repeat myself 4 times and received no apology from them. Bummer. Will I go back? YES , but only bc the red beans and rice. Also, wheres HUNTER? I miss him. Did he get promoted to owner? This is the first time writing a review but Im sitting here in the drive thru for 15 mins already there was a total of 4 cars a front of me and now there is still 3 after 15 mins I order my food online for carryout and now I have to wait here for my food which is getting cold probably or at least been sitting there this service is unexpetedble if I order food and tell this guy that I have a carryout for my fuxking food why is he not coming out and brings me my food or keep the door open so we can enter this is not the first time I been waiting longer then 20mins in drive thru tbh I dont recommend buying anything here if the door is closed they dont be working I also saw a lady the oder day touching food with her hand and no gloves but thats not the point Im sorry I have to write this but common this is a fast food but takes longer then a home cooked meal

Wish I could give 0 stars. The kid taking our order at the drive through was so rude that we didnt even finish placing our order and left. I wasnt going to comment but I saw another recent review from Sept about the same thing and it felt like my exact experience so I thought Id share. Plus, if these employees are not willing to put minimal effort into taking an order, I imagine they arent putting any effort into cleaning the kitchen or keeping up with food safety standards.

I went through the drive thru and placed an order. The person on the speaker was very rude. I drove up to the window where they were even more rude. Waited at the window for 10 minutes before order was passed to me. Again, very rude. Once we got home with the order, there were chicken feathers in the chicken tenders. How does that happen with tenders? I can understand it, maybe, from whole chicken pieces but tenders, really????

Ordered on line got there 7 mins. After it was supposed to be ready drive-thru made me pull up and park. Where I sat for 15 min. I went inside and the girl said that they forgot about me. Then I was told they had no legs so I agreed to all thighs. When I finally got my order from the kid that was obviously high as a kite, I had to ask him where my drinks were. He asked to see my receipt then went to get my drinks. When he returned and sat 1 drink on the counter, I told him with my hand FOUR drinks. And not 1 person hand food service gloves or hair nets. Dont recommend at all and will not go back.

Just went to order dinner with my wife. My wife was ordering when the young man started to speak. My wife stopped to hear what he was saying. The young man came back with a statement that I thought was condescending. I went in to speak to the manager Keith , and he stated that he was listening to the whole conversation. He also stated that he chuckled and they discussed it internally. When asked if he would address the young man about how he talks to customers, Keith stated that he didn t see anything wrong with how the young man spoke to us. I know that the work force is struggling to get people, but there s got to be standards.

Drive-thru order of 2 chicken sammiches with the cheese and pickles. If you want a darn good chicken sandwich, look no further than Popeyes! I live on the outskirts of town so was excited to be on this side of town to get some great chicken tenders! Pull up to drive thru.. young man said order whenever ur ready..and I said Hi and asked how ya doin? Crickets.. ok.. order whenever youre ready.. The shrimp basket and red beans and rice were good, but the macaroni and cheese had a really strong bleachy aftertaste that made them inedible, and the mashed potatoes were lumpy - as if they hadnt been rehydrated properly. If theyre trying to give the illusion of homemade, well...it didnt work. I only went because Ive been sick and wanted some comfort food and ended up pretty disappointed on that front. I did have someone taste the food to make sure it wasnt just me and they reported the same things I noticed.

Fresh food, but unfortunately didn t get what I ordered. Ordered chicken sandwich online but when went to pickup was told don t have them sorry. They replaced it with 5 pieces of tenders, but really wanted the sandwich.

Had the privilege of having the limited spicy fish sandwich and my second time was less desiring. I needed more sauce and was told that this was the standard. I mentioned that their yelp review was a 1 and gave the manager Keith and opportunity to correct and he was adamant this was the standard. I am completely disgusted at the service of this location and I see why the yelp review is rated at 1.

I was in the drive thru and they gave us extra food only one of the meals was what we actually ordered. I love Popeyes and everyone has a bad day. Will return to this Popeyes just check your food before you leave and they were happy to let us keep the food and have us the 2 chicken strip meals that we had ordered.

Very disappointing! Food was Luke warm. Instead of keep warm under like normal by hot water well, they pre portion and set under warmer lights that are not kept on. No longer carry Cajun rice either. Walked in and took forever to get someone to acknowledge I was there. Could clearly see staff behind line and not one time did they acknowledge me and ask me to give them a moment. I was only one in dinning area and one care in drive through. I used to LOVE Popeyes and the food and service has gone down hill. Chicken texture is as though not cooked all the way through and no flavor like it used to have. Very disappointing and for the price of $16.00 for 4 small chicken strips and 2 small sides no thank you

The food was not bad. More or less what I was expecting. It has been a number of years since I have eaten at a Popeyes and I was very sad to see that they did not have the dirty rice anymore. I got the red beans and rice, which was not nearly as good as it used to be but it wasnt bad. I got a mix of chicken and the spicy was good as well as the regular. I am sure that I will go back at some point in time but I will not be making an extra effort like I was hoping that I would because I used to really love popeyes. Im sure that there have been influences by covid as far as supply chain issues but I also know that many restaurants and fast food places change their menu from time to time and some of the things that I really liked just arent there anymore.

Sat in line 15 minutes, nobody ever answered on drive through speaker. Everyone in front of me pulled to window and then drove off without any food. I got to window and there were employees standing inside just looking at me, but never opened window or anything, so I finally drive off, too. No signs posted saying they were closed or out of food.

Smallest most dried out chicken Ive ever had from Popeyes. I dont know what happened but 3 small thighs, a med drink and small Red beans and rice came out to $10.41. Thats a lot for 3 dried up thighs. Wont be stopping in anytime soon. I asked dude how long the chicken has been out, he says 3 min. Try 3 hours. I wished I had taken a picture for this review.

I had a portion of nuggets from Popeyes which were mediocre but on my previous trip to another Popeyes store I tried the tenders and my god were they good. The breading is so tasty, sweet but savory. Would recommend the sandwich and tenders for sure

Damn good food. Always a long line in the drive thru but worth the wait every time. Their sweet tea tastes like it was made in small batches by a southern grandma. And the biscuits? Perfection.
