Customer service from servers and management is really lacking at this location. We waited a while for anyone to come over to our table with menus, while they stood near the bar talking to one another. As you can see in the photo, there were many empty tables behind us. They desperately need new management at night, the woman was rude & defensive. Food was okay. Onion rings were the best, mozzarella sticks were cold. Will not return.

Horrible customer service. Female manager saw us walk in told us to take a seat where we liked. It was not busy, the manager saw us sitting down. She and the servers were just by the bar on their phones, no one came by to give us menus or take our order. After about 8 minutes of just sitting there not being acknowledged we got up and left. Mind you it was not busy plenty of empty tables and multiple employees including the manager saw us. Sad because I really like oak but this Weslaco location really lacks in customer service.

The short manager lady had the bartenders cut me off after only getting 2 Smirnoffs and 1 tequila shot. The jealousy showed or something when she noticed me and 2 other women dancing and having a good time in the bar. They dont want you to have a good time only to be sitting down or something. Weird energy overall. They also got me fired from Senor Barbas, lied to my boss said I was harassing one of their servers like please that is far from the energy I give off. I am very sociable and friendly and outgoing, they hate that there.

Took my entire family to brunch and was disappointed on how terrible the breakfast has gotten. What use to be freshly made corn tortillas turned into hard reheated ones from across the street. What use to be hearty beans was a watery mess. I asked for coffee at 11 am and they were still brewing it and after a long wait I received my coffee mug with lipstick from the previous person who used it and coffee grounds inside it. I didnt mind the price because they once had big portions on the plate, but now my family was still hungry after finishing their food due to smaller portions. I was better off supporting another local breakfast restaurant on the amount I paid, will not be returning.

Overall worse experience I had with the workers, walked in and wasn t even greeted. Which is whatever but if you have all your workers standing around you d think they d be trained to greet customers walking in. On top of that my to go plate was thrown away after I boxed it and quickly went to the restroom to wash my hands. Asked my server why was my plate thrown if they clearly saw me box it and told me she couldn t do anything so the manager came to me and said there wasn t much they could do but have them make me some tacos. Which I was okay with until I saw the manager never ring them in after waiting for 15 minutes so I left. Overall, disappointed after this place was recommended to me for being so good

Fantastic Little slice of downtown Welasco. Its great that theyre keeping this old downtown area alive as of the rest of the valley grows. This is a much-needed aspect of the sprawling development area. The drinks are good and it has a really nice front porch that connects well to the street and the old downtown area. Saturday nights are lively and theres a couple other cool spots close by that have live music!

Be careful when you come here because you can accidentally leave with an expensive tab because the drinks are too good and addictive! The Margarita is delicious, one of my favorite margaritas to sip on. It s sweet and a good portion as they serve it in a giant cup. We enjoy the Buffalo Chicken Wrap, as we think it beats any other food served here. The green wrap and healthy stuff scared me away at first, because I don t like to eat healthy, but after a bite, it was like paradise. We also enjoy the live music here like Country Night on Thursdays. Our favorite band to party with is Cheyenne! Love you Oak, see you soon.

This place definitely needs more emphasis on the BAR description. The food was just okay; I requested my burger well-done, but it was rare. The fish tacos were simple and nothing memorable. The burger was neither memorable nor very tasty. I saw this place in passing, and I love local establishments, so I really wanted to try it out. Its definitely a bar scene, so the music was pretty loud; I dont have kids, but I dont recommend bringing kids here although some people brought their kids. Our waitress selected the tip upon paying which I didnt appreciate. If you want to unwind with drinks, a sewer smell, and mediocre food, then Id recommend this place.

Oak is always a cool place to go to for some alcohol and football. The food is also really good in my opinion, but my only gripe is that brunch lasts from 11-4. I think that brunch should last only 2-3hrs max not 5hrs. After 4pm though I highly recommend the fish tacos they serve there. The service was good and the vibes felt like I was in a club while trying to eat some food and watch some football.

The fajita skillet was delicious. Our server Carrie was excellent! The atmosphere and energy had good vibes. I do not live in Weslaco anymore but I am from there born and raised and Im glad the community is building more and more local businesses.

First time going, we were six in our group we signed up for a table the host told us we can wait in the bar, we were waiting and decided to order food at the bar, three of our group went to the restroom as they were in the restroom their food came out, so we were holding chairs for them, around 10:30 comes a very Rude guy asking with attitude for the chairs, we told him the chairs were taken and that they were in the restroom, he then took his jacket off wanting to fight us, and as we got up from our chairs he called security to get us out, my friends had to take their food to go, we asked the bartender who the guy was and he said he was the Manager (unbelievable), I still cant believe how a person like that can be Manager to a very nice place, I did some research and found that this guy has done it before with other people, Hector is the name of the Manager.

Im a la weslaco resident and is our first time coming here (my husband and I). We came to give it a try on a Saturday night. The manager at 10:40pm made us stand up from our bar chairs so rudely because he wanted to make more room . My husband doesn t speak Spanish and he was like no, I don t speak Spanish even though he looked Hispanic. I m always supporting small business because I own one in my own. He made us stand up from our bar chairs. So rudely. Even though we where consuming food and drinks. Never coming again. Hector is the manager name.

Im a chilaquiles fan and this place has some amazing chilaquiles. Super crunchy, I got the divorciados and I highly recommend it. My husband and got the cucumber refresher virgin and it was good but it would be epic if they added a hint of lime to it. My daughter had the kids brunch it is big enough for an adult to enjoy.
