An unforgettable experience! Everything was perfect the horses are incredibly well cared for, and you can immediately tell they are in great hands. Ruthie, Brooke, and Maddie were absolutely wonderful and made sure everything ran smoothly. They know the horses so well and take care of both the animals and the riders with great dedication. Dodger was the perfect horse so calm and sweet, which made the ride even more enjoyable. Although my husband fell ill at the last minute, it wasn t an issue at all that I participated alone. I felt completely comfortable and well looked after, even as a solo rider. The sunset ride was a true highlight, and I can t recommend it enough!

This was an event enjoyed with my cousin Avril who was visiting me from London, England. Her first time horseback riding and my second time in years. We were greeted with a warm welcome to Brazos Bluffs Ranch, which had spectacular views. After receiving safety instructions and guidance of how to guide your horse we were then able to have a practice run in the square before being led to start the trail. We had very knowledgeable staff who guided us through the beautiful terrain and untouched landscape. Our horses were very calm as we made our way through the trail. What an incredible time had by all. All attendees were very friendly and approachable. Our horses were called Dodge and Cash. Cash walked closely behind Dodge, as it was seen they were close friends. We headed to the Bluff and enjoyed Dr. Pepper floats and a game of Cornhole as we played in teams. Unfortunately Avril and I, lost miserably by 21 points to 4 points, but it was fun and laughter as we learned a few pointers along the way for the next game.To end the Bluff experience we took many pictures of the sunset before making our way back. This is a wonderful experience and certainly a great place to visit which is highly recommended. Thank you to all the staff for making this a memorable time for my cousin Avril and I. Denise H.

We love going to Brazos bluffs ranch. This is our 3rd horse back riding experience with them. Each time we go we always have fun, the workers are so sweet and helpful, & the horses are gentle and well trained. Definitely will be going back for a 4th ride soon. We had such an amazing time this past weekend. The team took great care of us and answered any questions we had. They are all so knowledgeable on not only each individual horse, but the area as well. They paired us up with our horse almost poetically! We had Chief and Outlaw. Both amazing boys. We enjoyed the calming trip up to the Bluffs and the Dr. Pepper floats were the perfect treat to enjoy the sunset! 10/10 would recommend.

On a girls trip to Waco and decided to get out in nature and take a trail ride. We certainly chose the right place. We met Brooke upon our arrival who set us up on our horses, gave us a few pointers and we were off. The Brazos bluffs property is beautiful. Brooke told us all about the property and the horses and was a fantastic trail guide. We asked for recommendations for lunch and she suggested cafe homestead for the burger and she wasnt kidding, burgers were great. I highly suggest putting this on your list when in Waco.

My wife and I made the trip from Big Spring,Texas to come ride horses at the Brazos Bluff Ranch. The ladies there are very knowledgeable, friendly and very cool!! Beautiful area to ride with green, open fields full of flowers, lots of big shade trees and stunning views. Ruthie is a great trail leader and overall friendly, fun and knowledgeable individual. She ensured everyone s safety with an efficient lesson in riding. She also took many pictures of all of us to share. Roslyn is a sweet and soft spoken lead- also very knowledgeable and helpful. The horses are sweet natured and very responsive. I do wish we could have untracked and brushed them after their time in the hot sun though.

From the moment we arrived, it was evident that this wasnt just another tourist attraction; it was a ranch nestled in the beauty of nature. We visited in Spring, and there were so many wildflowers around the ranch. Led by the charismatic and knowledgeable guide, Ruthie, our adventure began with a warm welcome and a tailored orientation, ensuring everyones safety and comfort. We chose not to wear the protective gear available and instead opted for our cowboy hats and boots to really capture that Texas holiday feeling. I m so glad this was an option! Mounted on majestic horses (Cash and Cherokee), we set off on our journey, venturing into nature. The scenery was nothing short of breathtaking; fault lines, lush greenery, and vibrant wildflowers painted a picture-perfect backdrop for our expedition. However, the highlight of our ride was undoubtedly the mesmerizing fields of bluebonnets that stretched as far as the eye could see. Aside from the natural beauty, what truly set Brazos Bluffs Ranch apart was the genuine hospitality and professionalism of the staff. Ruthies warmth and enthusiasm were contagious, creating an atmosphere of camaraderie among our group. It was evident that every aspect of our journey was tailor-made to ensure an unforgettable experience for all. Ruthie led us along a path with steep inclines and declines. This option is not for the faint of heart, but we absolutely loved it. Thank you so much for that! I can passionately say this was the best horseback ride we ve ever been on. Wonderful experience!! If you want to relax and connect with you like nature, it does not matter if you are a pro or if its your first time riding! Horse were EXTREMELY trained (they sort of automatic horses ). I came to waco with my boyfriend to disconnect from the city, we love the whole ranch vibe and riding horses, and I found these horses very calm and gave so much of a serenity mood. My 2 sons and I had a wonderful experience today! It was the first time either of my boys had been on a horse but the guides were so gentle and patient with them. They eased my worries right away. The trail was nice. The terrain gave you the full experience of climbing up and going down hills. Nothing too serious though, as this is a ride for first-timers. The guides were always with us, snapping pictures for us, chatting, and (most importantly) making sure we were happy and comfortable along the ride. We will definitely go back to this location. My kids want to try the evening ride with the smores. LOL

I love Brazos Bluffs Ranch!! If I had the option to give this place a higher rating I would. Iam a repeat customer of Brazos Bluffs Ranch, and they never disappoint. The horses are so beautiful and extremely docile. The guides are always so friendly, and helpful, and extremely patient. I brought both my daughters this time. It was my youngest daughters first time riding so she was a little scared at the beginning. Our guide Ruthie went above and beyond to make sure my daughter had fun and memorable experience. And she did! I also loved that the guides make it a point to learn everyones name before the trial ride begins which made the experience more personal. We had a really great ride with Ruthie and Parks! The horses were very well behaved and the staff knew them well. Ruthie was very nice to chat with along the ride and at the little stop for a break and smores and she was wonderfully considerate of the less confident riders in the group. Parks set up our fire pit stop and helped us get on and off the horses, and was quite the gentleman. Both were great at making conversation and I really enjoyed our experience overall. The horses were great, the ride was beautiful and the chance to get to know other horse people and spend a bit of time chatting and laughing with strangers was honestly the highlight of our trip to Waco. I would love to come back the next time we are in TX and would highly recommend to anyone looking for a memorable experience.

TEN OUT OF TEN EXPERIENCE!! We did the sunset ride as part of a bachelorette trip and it was SO FUN!! Our lead guide was Ruthie and she was awesome, as were the other guides. They kept us safe and were super kind. The horses were beautiful and I never felt unsafe while riding them. The fire, s mores & hot chocolate half way through the ride were perfect! Would 100% do it again and recommend that everyone do this while in Waco if they want to try horseback riding!

Booked this at the last minute for my wife and I on the whim that a horseback ride would be an awesome way to see Texas from a view other than the roadways we were traveling on. The weather threatened to spoil the tour, but the staff was in contact with me early in the day to keep me up to date and discuss alternatives. Our travel plans were pretty locked in so we didn t have any other available time, so the team kept in contact and in the end we were able to ride. Maddie was a great host and Ruthie was an awesome guide. The ranch is beautiful, and the trails were anything but boring. The horses were very capable yet gentle. My wife s horse got a little rebellious at one point and didn t want to follow the guide horse, but Ruthie was right on it and lead him for a bit to get him back on track after that he was no trouble at all. Unfortunately for us the weather resulted in a blocked sunset, but even with the clouds, the colors and view were amazing. We traded the sunset time for a longer ride back which was awesome at twilight. Highly recommend!

I was visiting Waco from Atlanta and had the opportunity to take a horseback riding tour with Ruthie, Maddie and Steven. I had the pleasure of riding Cash. He was such a good boy! The trails are nothing short of beautiful, but they pale in comparison to view that overlooks the Brazos River. We sat on the ridge, ate smores, drank hot chocolate and watched an absolutely beautiful sunset. This was my first time riding. Maddie, Ruthie and Steven were amazing instructors and guides. If youre ever in Waco I would strongly recommend that you treat yourself to this experience. You wont regret it!

We had a great time at Brazos Bluff Ranch. We were only in Waco for a couple of days, and the ranch was closed. But, they worked with us and set up a guided tour for us and another family. My sister and I went along with my three daughters, ages 8, 10, and 12. It was the first time horseback riding for my girls and they were a little nervous. Our guides Lem and Ruthie were so patient and helpful. They took great care of us and the girls loved it. The horses were beautiful and really gentle. The ride was scenic with a view at the top overlooking the river. The guides also took pictures for us! We would highly recommend the tour.

In my John Wayne Voice: Had to hit the old dusty trail with me and my stead Cash, only problem was, I didn t know how to ride. That wasn t a problem at the Bluffs! After a quick safety brief and riding tutorial from Ruthie and Brooke we were on our way. If I could give more than 5 star I would, website is clear, instructions and information is ease to find and understand. They will send you a text one day prior to remind you of your appointment, for only $5,0 you can buy their insurance and cancel the ride if you need in less than 12 hours before your ride, very convenient. But I am so glad we did not had the cancel, The ranch is stunning, horses are strong and well taken care of of. We had the pleasure of having Ruthie and Drew for our ride and they are simply amazing. Most trail rides I do are in New Braunfels, but the different scenery, incline, and information learned really made it worth it and special! In March I visited Brazos Bluffs Ranch with two friends of my grandparents. We booked the sunset ride (campfire, snacks and drinks included) and it was one of the most beautiful experiences I ever had! Luckily (for us) it was only the three of us and the two guides on our ride cause the others didn t show up (bad decision in my opinion, they missed a lot). Due to this we also could do some trot and canter during our ride, that was so cool and such a nice feeling! The guides were really really nice and did a great job, everything went well and we had a lot of fun the whole time. I do horseback riding in my home country too, so I can say those horses are in a very good shape and the ranch people take great care of them. Also I like that they always have the possibility to go outside and stay in motion. All in all I can say it is worth the money, I really can recommend this Ranch and I am looking forward to do this again the next time I m in Texas. Absolute fantastic experience. We did not expect too much as it is a tourist business but they delivered! Very nice people, everything feels like they have all the time, everything is clean and we had a nice ride on the horses through the woods to the river! Cool terrain and it was even a bit longer than booked. We will do it again! Thanks

When we asked the kids their favorite part about Waco, they didn t hesitate! They loved our sunset ride so much! Our guide Ruthie was amazing and took wonderful pics for us so I didn t have to worry about bringing my phone. We had delicious S mores with Reese s brought by Jim. It was all so perfect. Beautiful scenery. Wonderful people. Wish we could have stayed longer.

My husband, our son, and I stayed for a week in one of the gorgeous cabins at Brazos Bluffs Ranch. During our stay I booked two trail rides at the ranch, The Rancher and The Lone Star. I have been riding for 30 years and have owned and trained my own horses. Normally, my experiences with beginner-friendly trail rides are pretty underwhelming, but both of my rides at Brazos Bluffs were absolutely sublime. All of the trail guides were very professional, kind, and experienced horsewomen (& man). They were thorough and clear with their instructions to the group, emphasizing safety while also keeping the energy fun and laid back. The trails were extraordinarily beautiful--so different from the Maine woods Im used to--and even a little challenging in places. For The Lone Star ride, I brought a friend who has some anxiety about riding; and Mattie, Parks, and Ruthie were all so wonderfully patient and understanding with her. They chose the perfect horse (Buzz) to make her more at ease and kept checking in throughout the ride, to be sure she was comfortable. My friend left feeling so grateful that she did the ride and more confident about being in the saddle. It was a really positive experience for her. The Lone Star also included a rest stop at the top of the bluff to watch the sunset and enjoy some smores over a campfire and, of course, some Dr. Pepper. It was an unforgettable experience, made very special by the owners and employees of BBR. If youre planning a trip to the Waco, TX area, regardless of whether youve never touched a horse or have been riding your whole life, be sure to book a trail ride at Brazos Bluffs Ranch. I promise you wont regret it. Were already thinking about when we can go back again! Thank you so much, BBR!
