Very peaceful around the pond. There are ducks and fishing available from the pond. Very nice countryside view and a walking path around the park. Playground: The playground is not covered so during hot temperatures, kids cannot swing or play on equipment. Toilets: There is only one porta potty but no physical restrooms. Picnic area: There is a covered picnic table area next to playground.

Went there to view the total solar eclipse. Well manicured park, with playground, pond, and pavilion. Its a great neighborhood park. Only thing thats missing is a restroom facility and source of water. There was a portapotty that was a bit full. However, no restroom is very typical of neighborhood parks here in Texas, where its designed to keep outside visitor traffic low. We call it Texas Hospitality, yee-haw! Toilets: No restroom, only a Porta-potty.

We go to this park a lot. Its always nice in my younger sister has a good time. There are lots of park benches and stuff for parents to sit and keep an eye on their kiddos. Theres a lake right next to the park where people go fishing a lot and then there is a soccer field and a baseball / kickball field that always has something going on. The park is also next to a bunch of houses so there are usually kids there and its good for my sister to play the other kids. There is a covered area with two picnic tables to get some shade and stuff and lots of trees with shade. There are also trash cans and lots of walking trails around. In the park on the ground there are wood chips which my sister does not like and it gets stuck in her Crocs but she is fine. I never liked wood chips when I was younger so I understand what shes saying but what can you do, yknow? This is a great park safe neighborhood. The only downside of this place is that One of the neighboring houses has a lot of dogs and so sometimes there are loose dogs out and about. Ive never personally had a problem with the dogs. We usually tend to ignore them. Anytime weve approached the dogs or the dogs have approached us, they seem nice. But you never know what can happen so just keep an eye out for that. There are also geese and ducks by the lake, so if thats something that youre not into then maybe this isnt the place for you. Other than that great place I totally recommend it. Playground: There is a playground that has two slides. It has like this rock climbing wall. There is an underside to the playground structure that has a fake car It has a wheel and a stick shift. The only problem with the stick shift is that it has no neutral. I dont know much about stick shift but from what I know you need neutral to drive so I dont know if youre trying to teach your kid how to drive stick shift on this playground maybe you should take them to a car that has a stick shift to properly teach them. It also has a fake stove that does not turn on. On the side of the structure there are monkey bars and logs where kids can jump on. There is a swing set with four total swings. Two are normal swings, one is a toddler swing, and the last one is a baby swing that locks in. Picnic area: Theres a couple different picnic areas around the playground. Theres some picnic tables under a cover. And then there are about three or four picnic tables spread out around the playground structure itself. There is also I believe two covered picnic tables by the lake. Plenty of places to sit down!

This is a really cool morning fishing spot. Parks and Wildlife keep it stocked twice a month. Ive seen people catch catfish and rainbow trout here as well. Its a beautiful scenic Park in the middle of a neighborhood. There are quite a few stray dogs running around every time were there. So just be cautious if youre bringing your dog to the pond. You can tell theyve been on the streets for a long time and people from the neighborhood just feed them. They dont really cause any trouble but I thought it was something worth mentioning. Theres always quite a few geese and ducks on the pond as well and they are pretty comedic. If youre walking near the geese they will charge you up LOL but no harm done.

This park offers fishing, and long sidewalks great for exercise or just enjoying the beautiful scenery. There are some horses to see at the top of the hill (privately owned) and a very nice view. There is also an old baseball field next door where sometimes games are held. This is one of my favorite parks in the Waco area. Playground: Newly updated. Not covered. Toilets: Only a portable bathroom is available here. Not always the cleanest. Picnic area: A few small areas and one big pavilion for rent.

Super cute little park. A decent size pond with ducks and a couple geese. There is a walking path that encircles the pond and several benches along the path. A small play structure for the kiddos and a neat little bridge that spans a small section of the pond. The trash cans were overflowing and there was litter near the street, which is the primary cause for this review missing a star.

This isnt a bad place to fish but its not great. Ive only ever caught one catfish out of there and put it back because it didnt look healthy. This pond has potential to be better, and wish theyd actually stock it with crappie and largemouth bass.

Surprisingly, this is the only place in all of McLennan county that gets stocked with trout. Waco has a plethora of other places to fish scattered around town, but this is the only one that gets stocked with trout during the winter season. Although this is a plus for all the anglers who call Waco there home, the down side is this is one of the smallest bodies of water McLennan county offers the public to fish.

Very peaceful.. beautiful scenery. You can sit by the water and feed the ducks(be cautious..some of them have attitude). Or you can walk around the park and enjoy the solitude on a randomly placed bench. Of course there is a play ground for the kiddos to play.

This is a great place to go for a quite get away! The sunrise is so beautiful from atop the hill if you get there early enough! A wonderful place to go for a romantic afternoon picnic! Even a little pond with a lovely fountain for a bit of recreational fishing, just be sure to bring you fishing license! A playground for children and a winding sidewalk for jogging, power walking, or just taking a stroll in the park! Open from 6a.m. to midnight
