The breakfast menu is pricey, but totally worth it. The Huevos Racheros (with brisket!) was the best I ve ever had. You could tell the chef knew what they were doing. The tortillas were fried perfectly, and the dish in it s entirety was delicious. It was so delicious that I ordered it two days in a row. Yum!

This is a room service review. The Hyatt room is great. I had a nice evening and had a sweet tooth. I looked on my Hyatt app and saw a dessert menu that was available until midnight. I ordered the cheesecake. The image provides the description and the second image is reality. They sold me on, Goats milk cheesecake. Fresh lemon curd, blackberry sauce, blackberries, and edible flowers. What arrived was a small round shaped poor excuse for cheesecake. There was a blackberry (one) that had fallen into the corner of the tray. There was no sauce or edible flowers. For $13, I would expect something appearing similar to a slice from the Cheesecake Factory. This was very disappointing. I ordered a cup of coffee which was good and a bottle of water. $35 with tip and I feel ripped off. How a $13 round of cheesecake, coffee, and water =$35 is beyond me.

Better than many hotel restaurants but not a fine dining establishment. Good selection of burgers and semi- quick menu items. Full bar right there. Can be under-staffed when busy, but always good service. Convenient if staying in Hyatt - and better quality than all the noisy joints out on the Riverwalk.

The service was incredibly bad. When my husband and I sat trying to figure out what went wrong, we kept coming to the same conclusion .RACISM! When we attempted to explain it to the manager how bad the service was, she walks away not saying I apologize or here is how I can make it right. Just nonchalantly heard my concerns and walks away. The one drink I had was $30 (margarita). The food we decided to take to go but trashed it. Both $20+ meals were dry and not fresh my salad had brown lettuce. NEVER AGAIN! I did enjoy staying in the hotel but I ll go to Whataburger before Q Kitchen. After a $100 ticket, of nothing you can enjoy I say you have been warned! Go to the Riverwalk please.

We were looking for breakfast food in the downtown area, so we found Q Kitchen Bar. The place is inside The Hyatt, I think. The food was good, I got the chicken fried chicken, and it was well plated, but it was kinda bland. The chicken was dry, so most of the time. I dont always blame the restaurant for not so good food, but the chef cooking it. So maybe it was just an off day for the chef. But the biscuit, on the other hand, was the best I have had. It was very light and fluffy. The mimosas were equally as good. So, Im not sure if I will be running back for breakfast, but its worth trying maybe lunch or dinner.

We arrived around 11pm when the bar was not that busy, yet it took an hour to get our food. We also received it after others that had arrived after us. The table next to us had the same problems. They had 2 bartenders, 1 server, 1 manager. The server was doing her best trying to work an entire spaced room on her own because the manager spent most of his time helping the bar instead of the server when they shouldn t have needed the help. By the time the manager started helping the server, it was too late because she was already deep in trouble and struggling. The bartenders had tunnel vision. I watched one guy sit there waiting to order drinks for a while and neither looked at him or acknowledged him because they kept their heads down. There was a point the server had 2 plates and went around the whole room not knowing who it belonged to. Once we finally received our food, it wasn t worth the price. I got a brisket sandwich and all I could taste was bbq sauce not the meat at all. It wasn t hot, warm at best like it d been sitting. The server didn t even know if it was correct I think this is it (the brisket sandwich). The table next to us sent one dish back once due to an issue. After finishing we again sat waiting for our check as the staff ran around not acknowledging any of us. I could tell the table next to me was annoyed too. It was clear the manager was not running the floor, it was running him. If they were busy (they really weren t), instead of focusing on dishes left on tables (since they d already closed the area to new guests), they should ve noticed people like us sitting there looking bored and annoyed and dealt with us live guests first. The manager had tunnel vision. Management is about stopping fires before they happen. When we were finally able to stop the manager to finally ask get our check, he was rude. It s not good service to tell the customer, look just be patient because we re trying. Based on what I observed, they shouldn t have been struggling as bad as they were. He didn t know he was speaking to a former restaurant manager who s run a busier restaurant than what I saw tonight with 3 servers, me, and the cook staff without looking like our heads were chopped off. I d be worried what they d be like if the place was packed. We won t be back to this place.

Staff are friendly but food and drink service are both slow. Prices are shockingly high. I ate breakfast and lunch here. At breakfast on a Saturday morning the bar was closed with only Bloody Marys and Mimosas being served. No beer, no micheladas, no cocktails until 113OAM. Pancakes were like $15 with no sides. Appetizers up to $18 for a quesadilla. The food is good but the pricing is still out of line and theres much better food within walking distance. No kids menu that I saw but my 9 year old enjoyed the pancakes. Only saving grace is that front of house was unfailingly helpful, especially Saturday morning. Wheelchair accessibility: By elevator

After several days of Tex-Mex and pizza, my body was craving some vegetables! The lunch buffet here ($15 M-F, drink included) was amazing! Salads, made to order pasta, vegetables, and dessert were all REALLY good.

Friendly staff. Attentive waiter. Its a buffet though so the food wasnt all that great. Two people to eat expect to spent over $50 for your meal that is mediocre at best.

I love Q Kitchen Bar. Its located in The Hyatt Regency Hotel. I always go for lunch. They have a normal menu, but I always get the salad and pasta bar. They make your pasta custom with the ingredients you choose. Salads are fresh. Love the potato salad. Service is pretty good too! Reasonably priced.

Our group was supposedly heading to a Bar-B-Q place, but when we got there it ended up being the Q Bar...which wasnt what we expected. They do have a BBQ sampler, but this is not a BBQ restaurant! Aside from that confusion initially, the whole group was impressed with what they ordered. I got the grass fed burger and it was really good. Service was on the slow side and there were some issues with order accuracy, but the waitress had just the right amount of humor and sassy attitude that it added to the experience. Very nice setting inside the Hyatt.

Came here after major disappointment at Biergarten. What a difference! The staff are caring and make sure that you feel welcome and get what you want. We were going to order for the kids form the healthy kids menu (lots of organic choices), but the waiter recommended having a look at the lunch buffet @ $5 for kids. They had delicious chicken breast, freshly prepared pasta with a good number of topping choices and desert. There also was a tomato bisque that was quite tasty. I had a Texas Torta (pork BBQ on a bun), which was a bit dry but tasty. Didnt care much about their fries either (too greasy). The kids steak was delicious and came with home-style fries. The pasta chef was very friendly and made sure we got what we wanted. Very pleasant lunch. Although we came towards the end of their lunch period (just before 2pm), we never felt hurried by staff.

Found this place on accident while spending the evening in SA, in town from ATX...I come from the restaurant industry ages ago...when good service was something to be proud of...it seems too often these days that establishments no longer care about the interaction of the server and the guest! My husband & I were beyond pleased with our service provided by Jasmine! She was attentive, engaging and just down right great! We will absolutely return to Kitchen Q to visit Jasmine! Kudos to a job well done...and repeat guests...that will always describe what a great experience we had because of the amazing service we received!!! Dawn & Joe!

We were a group of 8 and had the pasta & salad lunch buffet. The food was very good with the pasta chefs expertly mixing the ingredients of your choice. Standard pasta and toppings choices. The greens and fruits were very fresh. There was nothing remarkable about the dessert bar, cookies, pie, and cake not quite as fresh as the salad bar. The wait staff was a little short with us, but we were a large group without reservations. Overall a good experience.
