We were greated by Sam near the smokers and got to take a close look at the whole operation. He answered all sorts of questions and gave great advice for what to order. We had the brisket which was falling apart and just melted in my mouth. We also had a beef rib which was exceptional! The flavors and the sides and the sauce were delicious! The atmosphere inside was so welcoming and friendly. Each employee we encountered was warm and so kind and helpful. We will definitely return to this restaurant in the future. Thank you. We were on vacation and visiting Waco and wanted to eat some BBQ, found them online and decided to try them out. There were plenty of seating options indoor in addition they have a lovely patio area to sit outdoors. I cannot say enough about how good the food was, from the meat options as well as all the sides. We also received excellent service from all employees, especially from Sam who is one of the cooks, he gave my husband a tour of the BBQs and made recommendations to cook ourselves. I have been craving their food since I have had it. We will definitely be going back again in the future.

BEST TERRY BLACKS IN TEXAS! The service is incredible. We had our wedding rehearsal dinner here in the reserved space, and Gabe, Brandon, Adriana V, and ABL made everything possible. This is a nice place. Good texas style BBQ. All cooked with post oak. Brisket was perfect. Flavor was spot on. Tender with a touch of fat. Jalapeño cheese sausage was very good. Plenty of cheese and really great flavor. Pork rib was cook perfect. Not fall off the bone but tensor. Kinda sweet flavor. Turkey breast was moist and also good. Coleslaw was good but had kale for some reason. Pick that out and you are good to go.

Having read quite a few of the reviews I had to chime in. We just ate there,Joe,Brandon and the rest of the crew were AWESOME, huge place,great atmosphere. I had brisket,ribs,jalapeno cheddar sausage with a side of potato salad and mac and cheese, my wife had a Turkey sandwich and mac and cheese. Brisket was awesome, very juicy, great smoke flavor, sausage was the bomb,ribs very flavorful, potato salad and mac and cheese were on point. Wifes Turkey sandwich was huge,juicy and tons of flavor. Having had Panther City and The Franklin on Thursday and Friday, Terry Blacks fits right in,dont believe the 1 star reviews, this place is awesome, well be back!!

The restaurant entrance is welcoming and well, pretty, with all the flowers. The pit masters welcomed us as we walked in. An employee opened the door as we approached. Everyone was so friendly and helpful! The food was good and the bbq sauce options were nice (original, spicy, sweet). The prices are a bit high compared to other bbq restaurants in Waco. We ordered brisket (moist, and it had quite a bit of fat unfortunately), jalapeño sausage, chips, and beans. The tray of food pictured, a cup of water, and a sweet tea was $44.

The pork ribs were simply the best weve ever tasted - perfectly seasoned and incredibly tender. Every bite was a taste explosion and absolutely unique. And then the brisket... Its hard to put into words. Juicy, smoky and with a perfect crust - simply incredible. This BBQ experience is hard to beat. Unfortunately, such a BBQ is unthinkable in Germany. Unfortunately, the quality and authenticity that Terry Blacks offers is rarely found in Europe. If you have the chance, you definitely shouldnt miss it. An absolutely unforgettable taste experience! Visiting from Florida. I honestly haven t tried the food yet, but seeing as their customer service was phenomenal I know the food is going to be amazing. Hands down this is the best bbq I have ever had. I got welcomed in as soon I walked by the pit house nothing but friendly faces. I proceeded to walk into the building and got welcomed in by Cheyenne which she explained the menu to me perfectly. I went to get my sides and got welcomed in again by ABL and Stephanie which they were awesome. I then went to get my meats by Atissa and Xavier which they did a phenomenal job at providing great customer service and explaining the menu to me. We ate at Terry Black s, in Waco, on Fri Sept 20, 2024 and our experience was beyond excellent . We met Mark, one of the owners, and he treated us royally. The beef rib was heavenly as were the burnt ends, & the brisket was the best I have ever tasted. The sides were great especially the peach cobbler. Got to try the black margarita- exceptional. Gene, the Master pit person was very accommodating & Gabe give us a tour of the pits, which are amazing, especially the beautiful aroma.The outside seating is set in a beautiful area with plants. Have a thick wallet. However, since I didn t have to nurse a BBQ Pit for 12 hours, I m ok with that. The stars of the show are the pit masters. Wow!Wow!Wow! We are returning from a great gathering with friends in Burnet, Texas! We have visited a few places last week, San Antonio, Marble Falls, Waco, and Fredericksburg! I got the brisket sandwich, Mac n cheese, and jalapeño cheddar sausage. The brisket was perfectly tender and packed with flavor from the beautifully rendered fat and seasoned bark. I will say that the Mac n cheese feels very heavy so maybe save that for last. The jalapeño cheddar sausage was awesome, I found it to have the right balance of heat and cheesy goodness. Some slices of the sausage were larger than I would have preferred but did nothing to hinder their consumption. I ve had a lot of Texas BBQ and I ve heard Terry Black s is a must try. I tried the location in Waco and I was impressed with the meats. I like my brisket mostly lean and this was the leanest brisket I ve had. To the point it can be slightly dry. I m curious if they have a fattier option since I didn t ask. I request the blackened end piece and it was my favorite. The seasoning is perfect. The sausage was fantastic. The sides didn t wow me and the creamed corn was a little too sweet. The place in Waco is really nice with a great patio area close to the smokers so you watch the magic. I can see why people love this place, I would try to the ribs next visit and ask for the moist brisket.

Today we had the opportunity to eat at Terry Black s BBCue. Oh my goodness, Brandon and Joe waited on us and were so patient and kind and friendly while we asked all kinds of questions about how things were prepared and types of meats and sauce etc. The gentleman were very knowledgeable and helpful. They even gave us tastes of the different meats and explained how things were done. I have never tasted anything so good in my life! The foods and sides were so delicious! Oh my gosh, this will definitely be a repeat experience. The ambience of the dining experience in and of itself was worth the visit with all its Texas charm, with the meal a total bonus! Absolutely loved it. Some of the best bbq I ve had. The second I walked in, Sam welcomed me and told me about the smoking process some. He also came inside to check on how I was enjoying it. Overall outstanding customer service and great food. Prices are pretty high ($70ish for 2 people with tip) but if you can afford it then it is definitely worth the trip.

I like this location better than the one in Deep Ellum Dallas. The entrance was decorated beautifully with seasonal flowers and the outdoor seating was spacious and inviting. Have been to the one in Dallas a couple of times but wanted to try out the Waco location when in town recently. Got a little bit of everything to try. The brisket was tender, not too much fat, but was a tad on the dry side. The jalapeño cheddar sausage was to die for, the pork ribs were falling off the bone, and the mac and cheese was heavenly. Service was great, huge indoor and outdoor seating areas as well. The pit master also showed us the smokers and spoke about the process for a bit on our way out at closing.

There are a lot of BBQ places in Waco and this is one of the best. I got their black margarita before we got in line and its so delicious. We got a family meal to go. We didnt eat right away and were surprised when it was still hot. The Mac and cheese is so freaking good. Creamy, cheesy, perfect.

As an Alabama girl it pains me to say this but . your ribs are better than ours! I must say the Ribs, brisket, and sausage were so flavorful and moist! Even the sides were great! To top it off the service was helpful and super nice. Jes walked us thru the line and made sure we were good to go. Justin and Cayla made the perfect suggestions that were just enough. Even though they are cheering for Baylor and we are cheering for Air Force we can agree that Terry Black s Barbecue is 5 stars!! We will definitely will come here when we are in town!

From the moment I arrived, I was impressed. The landscaping and atmosphere is so inviting and beautiful. The second you step out of your vehicle you are sucker-punched with the smell of pit smoke which is mouthwatering. There are countless staff members around to help guide you through the process and get you exactly what you want/need. Their self-serve drink station is stocked with everything you need to take your food to-go and refill your favorite drink before seeing the sites downtown! We were immediately greeted as we were walking up, then again as we entered. Everyone was very friendly. Building temperature was very nice, music wasnt too loud. We were served at the counter by Brandon and Cayla who were phenomenal!! Very informative and friendly and helped make our first visit not too overwhelming! There was also someone who came by every now and then to make sure we were doing okay and see if we needed anything. The food was good, but not as good as the hype made it out to be, honestly. Mac and cheese was decent. Had a weird twang at the end. Creamed corn was delicious. Star of the show. Brisket was ok. Some spots were super greasy/juicy and some were dry. Pork ribs were absolutely amazing. We definitely preferred that over the brisket. Original sausage was flavorful without being too peppery and had a nice crunch. Turkey was very juicy. Perfect amount of smoke. Original sauce was our favorite. Nice vinegar kick. Sweet sauce and spicy sauce had a strong mustard flavor. We got 2 small sides, 2 small drinks, 2 slices of brisket, 2 slices of turkey, 2 ribs and a sausage link and spent $70. Overall we enjoyed our meal and will be back if not for the ribs for the friendly atmosphere!
