Screw the Holiday Inn, Fairmont, or Candlewood I ll only stay here moving forward. The customer service is amazing and all of the staff is super friendly. The room was way nicer than you d expect. The best part, is the breakfast when Stacy is cooking is to die for. She s usually only cooking on the weekends but she goes all out and it s 5x better than what you can expect at any other hotel in Victoria. Hands down, this hotel might be cheaper than some in Victoria but you get way more than you pay for.

We traveled from Chicago to Victoria tx and stayed at this hotel. As anyone would think, we thought we would arrive to a clean and comfortable hotel but what a surprise! Both rooms we got were dirty and smelled damp. The carpet was still dirty and the bed had hair all around. I feel like they need to do a little better with the cleaning although the staff in the front desk were great and very helpful to move us to a different room multiple times due to rooms smelling moldy as well.

We have 12 rooms with double beds we pay good money I just got off work work at a 19-hour shift I need to wash my clothes play only got one washer one dryer I went down there and put my clothes in there I went to the front desk get some quarters she say sorry we only got a $1.25 I said how am I going to wash my clothes I have to get up in 6 hours go back to work I dont know what to tell you my manager will be here at 9:30 to 10:00 OMG messed up Motel very unsatisfied

Strike 1 - The only rooms available were on the third floor and the elevator was out of service. Strike 2 - There was fast food trash on the floor under the curtains Strike 3 - blood or something nasty on the curtains At this point, Im thinking as long as the bed is clean, I can deal with it. We booked 3 rooms for our family to attend a family funeral and all 3 rooms were not clean. The rooms all were humid, the AC was not working right. They actually had a dehumidifier in one room! All 3 rooms had torn and worn down carpet that looks like it should have already been gone and replaced. Sheets were stained and don t think we didn t check for bed bugs no bugs thank goodness. The elevator was broken and we had to use stairs at the back of the hallway to get to the upper floors so changing rooms was not an option for one of our rooms as we had an elderly person not able to climb stairs. The handicapped room consisted of a bathroom bar inside the tub- no walk in shower. The front desk ladies were nice and breakfast was ok. Overall would not stay or recommend .

I booked this hotel for a weekend trip with my sister and upon entering the room, it smelled bad and musty. I opened the blinds to find mold all over the window area. I opened the drawers and roached crawled out and I also found roached on the bed. There was suspicious stains in the bed, and the walls has dirt smudges and liquid smudges. It was very very disgusting and I immediately checked out. The front staff was respectful and helpful in getting me the refund request sent to my 3rd party booking company.

Better call ahead and see if their elevator is working. I brought my family here in a rare occasion and had to carry everything up to the 3rd floor via stairs! The hallway in the 3rd level smells like sewer water. Rooms seem ok.

Elevator hasnt been working since I dont know when. Last I went was in December and apparently still not working. Call ahead or just do yourself the favor and dont book here at all. Too noisy from all the traffic for a goods night sleep anyways. Noteworthy details: No working elevator and traveling with elderly father with no prior warning about the elevators. There was no way he could have walked up the stairs to get to our room when we arrived in the middle of the night so no way to cancel and get another hotel. They had to give us a handicapped room for us to be able to stay there which if they had called us or email ahead of time wouldnt have needed to be done.

Will not stay again. Made reservations for 2 rooms, one double, one king. Got there and all they had were double rooms available. On the 3rd floor, elevators were down. Entire third floor smelled like mold. Beds were comfortable is only good thing. Said it had bathtub but wasnt big enough to take a bath in.

Not as advertised, although the staff was polite, no working elevator which upon reading reviews looks like it has not been working for a very long time, rooms were very dirty, bugs on pillows, so damp and humid that the bedding and pillows were moist, dirty rooms with stains on bedding, blankets and mattresses. questionable guests or visitors as there was a 50+ year old man in a very short rainbow belly shirt, with what looked like mental health issues, publicly intoxicated, drink in hand approaching us to try and chat as we attempted to come back into the hotel. Staff smiled but said nothing to deter the man.

The staff at the front was extremely nice and helpful. When I got there, the elevator was broken. I was placed on the 1st floor as a result, but I felt bad for the others checking in because they had to take the stairs. My room was crazy. Somewhat clean. The paint on the wall was in streaks. The baseboard was peeling. The light over the bathroom sink was not working. The inset light fixtures were not complete. Electric wall plate covers had pain in them. The lamp near the bed had mold on the lamp shade. I couldnt believe this room had not been inspected and was rented out. I was so tired, as I was there for work, and just wanted to sleep. I only stayed one night. Rooms: Horrible but somewhat clean.

This is one of the nastiest hotels I had stayed in while being in Victoria. Rooms, bathroom and the hole building dirty and nasty. The breakfast gave us diarrhea witching 3 hours of eating. Green eggs no ham. The was a up front 50.00 charge. I was never told about. I ll never look at Baymont again.

My father stood here, when he came to visit me, my fiance and his grandchildren. The fact he had to change his room the first night because of a roach in his fridge. Then in the other room there was 3 more roaches found on other days. The management didnt apologize or refund a one night stay just have him sign up for rewards and said they were going to give him points that equal up to a 2 night stay and they didnt do that either.

The only thing mustier than the lobby is the rooms. A wave of musty odor hits you in the face when you walk into the lobby, there is a box of Arm & Hammer, so theyre trying. The rooms are unbearably smelly & humid. Were it not so late at night I would have looked for another hotel. If you want a good nights rest, this is not the place. My family and I were in town for my fathers funeral week of March 12. During this difficult time running errands, being stressed, it was nice to come back and relax at Baymont. Breakfast was great, something different every morning, the front desk ladies were very kind and helpful. But mostly Cindy who works in housekeeping she went above and beyond, she was friendly, attentive, and most importantly restocking our room with towels and essentials. She made or stay very comfortable and should be recognized for her outstanding customer service! I would definitely stay here again!!

The elevator was broken the entire stay. The first room we were given already had guests in it. The 2nd room was clean but only surface cleaned. Mostly the issues were in the restroom. Mold under the shower soap dish, the walls had stains and really needed to be painted and the shower head was caked with mineral buildup. The sink had a small crack that water leaked out of. I noticed when the splash hit my feet.

Rented a room with two beds for two nights and they only gave me 2 shower size towels. I kept telling them it was 4 of us and asked for clean towels 3x. They kept saying they didn t have any clean ones and that they were washing them. I didn t get any clean towels til that night after asking for them several times during the day. Elevator smelled like someone peed in there and third floor where between my family and friends rented 3 rooms smelled like sewer. One of the rooms was dirty and found underwear on the bed sheets and had to ask for a new clean room.

The hotel staff at this location is the gold standard of customer service. From getting g the room paid for over the phone and walking in and just getting my key. Nice place, better than expected. Not really within walking distance of somewhere to get a bite but not far to drive to get one. Rooms could use a bit of care(paint, fixtures covers). Breakfast is good, maybe some meat on the side with the eggs(bacon, sausage or ham). I do suggest they put adult size soap in the bathroom and maybe a few more towels in the bathroom, especially if your not traveling alone. Overall, not bad

Reasonable rates. Good Breakfast. Rooms are a crapshoot. I ve had great rooms, and terrible ones. If you can get a room on the first floor do it. No issues with rooms on first floor. They are kept cleaner because they are used more. Some of the rooms on the 2nd and 3rd floor have black mold issues and smell musty. My guess is most of the issues we have had with rooms have been due to long periods without use (2nd and 3rd floors) These rooms are most likely only cleaned when used and not used or cleaned for a week or two. Overall you get what you pay for. Can t expect a top notch room for under 100 bucks a night. This place is great for single guys, one or two night stays on business, or seeing family for a couple days. I wouldn t stay at this place on a vacation.

Staying in Victoria, Tx Work all day in 100+ heat index 90s Outside cutting cutting trees for AEP . I wake at 5 get ready , fill my ice chest and thermos with ice getting ready for the day . The breakfast lady tells me in a very rude voice that I can not put cranberry juice in thermos which has mostly A multi million dollar hotel chain cant afford a cup of 2 dollar at most juice. My company has spent 1000 s of dollars on this would not recommend

Was waking up to a rude lady saying it was time for me to go I told her I don t check out till tomorrow then she walked in and said will go talk to the general manager Once I finished getting dressed go down stairs she s standing with the general manager and told me it was a mistake. Which the mistake is ok but the rudeness could have been handled different. The negativity was there.

The worst experience I ve ever had. First it started with an extremely rude front desk Lady that had 0 costumer service. When we finally were able to check in, we arrived at our room. That s where the nightmare began. The hallway smelled as if someone was chain smoking (clue #1). As we entered the room, we were immediately met with a musky smell as if the room had been flooded. The carpet was damp and grimy. As you walked into the bathroom, pee was in the toilet and live crickets were crawling on the floor. Above the bed, you could see water stains and water droplets building up and falling on floor. The room had a humidifier that was completely full of moisture that we had to empty and fix. I ve stayed in roach motels before and had a better experience. When we finally got another room, everything just continued rolling down hill.

This is absolutely the worst motel I have ever stayed in. The room had a humidifier in it and had a strong ammonia smell inside of it. We had to change rooms due to the strong foul odor and the next room was no better. The staff is no where near helpful and rude at that. I will never spend my money here again.

Not sure if all the reviews I am reading are for same hotel, or the positive ones may be very old. To be clear this is a review of Baymont by Wyndham Victoria, Texas. The hotel is in disrepair. starting with elevators that buzz loudly via broken speakers at every floor. The hallways smell musky and the bathroom walls in our bedroom were heavily dotted with mold everywhere which we only realized the next morning when we showered and looked up and also realized the ceiling was actually dripping with large water droplets (from our shower? the water was not that hot so that was baffling). The pipes made very loud synchronized whirring/whistling noises with each toilet flush, followed by loud rumbling at the end. The towels were threadbare and stained. I only gave 2 stars because the bed was comfortable. I cannot speak for the breakfast because after the morning experience I did not want to stay in the place a minute longer.

This is a pretty good hotel for the money. The price was and the location was pretty good. Close to a lot of attractions, the staff was extremely friendly, the rooms were pretty clean, the restrooms were a little bit worn out but thats no , it was a pretty nice stay all together. Booked the hotel before reading the reviews and I was a little scared but it turned out to be a very comfortable stay. Room was clean, beds were firm and comfy and breakfast was good. DO NOT STAY HERE! If your care to have a workout while there, know that their gym doesn t have the AC, the treadmill doesn t work. The breakfast is all processed items you could buy at a gas station. Front desk didnt seem to care when mentioned about the issue she just wanted to get back to the back room to what she was doing when I was checking out and telling her what was wrong.
