Ashli and Chelsea our bartenders were wonderful. They were attentive and diligent. Wonderful conversation. Even the staff we spoke with remembered we were staying in a hotel and procured us with extra utensils for our to go order (yep the little things mean the most) Wonderful!

Not sure if they were shorthanded or what but Service sucked real bad! Took forever just to get drinks and I just had water , appetizers came after our food! They messed up on our ticket so guess what? Took forever for our new ticket! Other tables were getting their drinks and food before us and we got there around 430 for a surprise party..... I havent been in months and I wont be back!

Stopped in for a quick dinner after hours at the hospital and the entire experience was awful! Sent steak back as I ordered med rare and it was well done came back and worse this time literally could not cut it and the manager looked at me and grunted and turned around and left. I owned and ran a diner successfully for 40yrs and have never had such bad service and disgusting food. No apology from the manager no attempt to try to make it right so I got up and left went down the street to another restaurant and had a great meal! Do Not Waste Your Time

Had a 2:1 coupon so decided to give it a try. On the plus side, the burgers and fries were very good. Now the rest of the story. Walked in and it was hot. Found out that the a/c wasn t working. Looked up and noticed how discolored all the ceiling tiles were. Hostess was quick to greet us and started cleaning a booth for us. Noticed another couple sitting and waiting. Been there a while and another host had forgotten about them. Let them take our booth and took the next one. Our waiter was running non-stop and really hustled. They appeared short handed. Got an iced tea, some of the worst tea I had ever had. Swapped it out for something else. Kitchen was really slow. Took about 1/2 hour to get our burgers. When they arrived, a small swarm of flies came with the food. Never could get a refill on my $3.39 drink. Got out of there as quickly as we could after eating. Do not recommend.

CAUTION! We ordered from the all you can eat menu.... the boneless chicken was overcooked and COLD, the ribletts were good but only lukewarm. When we asked for a second plate ..... it took FOREVER! We ended up having to box it up and bring it home. I waited for 20-25 minutes just for a tea refill. The table had flies all around it. The service was hideous! What a joke! We will never go to this restaurant again!

2 for $30 lunch deal. my Fiesta Lime Chicken not bad. My wifes Classic Broccoli Chicken Alfredo came out looking ok but with no Parmesan Cheese other than 2 or 3 tiny pieces. When asked for a little more to put on top (like ALL Italian restaurants do) the manager informed us there will be an upcharge. Applebees reduced lunch prices are not only smaller portions but little to no add-ons, so when you factor all that in, its not a better deal. That dish, being of Italian cuisine, needed some Parmesan Cheese to finish off...Applebees thought differently. Funny, I was paying for the meal, not them. 2nd time there and bad experience. Will NOT patronize that one anymore in Tyler Texas. The Palestine TX Applebees totally different and always a very good experience. Amazing how same 2 restaurants so close together can treat their patrons differently. Im betting its the management!

During a recent visit to Applebees, I was met with several disappointments that need addressing. Its important to note that my intention is not to be overly critical, but to provide constructive feedback that could help improve the overall experience. First and foremost, our server, who was clearly new, seemed overwhelmed and under-supported. We observed her trying to manage at least ten tables by herself, a task that would challenge even the most seasoned servers. It was evident she needed more assistance, and her struggle impacted the service. Our visit took place during lunch, a time when most people have a strict one-hour window to eat and return to work. Unfortunately, the service was so slow that I ended up being 30 minutes late getting back to work. This delay was primarily due to the servers lack of support and the apparent understaffing issue. Additionally, we ordered the Butter Pecan Blondie for dessert. To our dismay, as it was being walked to our table, we could clearly see a long dark hair sitting on top of the ice cream. Under normal circumstances, we would have sent it back or requested it be taken off the bill, but given the significant delay, we decided to just deal with it to avoid further delay. This Applebees location needs serious help and management intervention. With better support for new servers and a more attentive approach to cleanliness and customer service, Im sure it could provide a much more pleasant dining experience. I hope these issues can be addressed soon for the sake of future customers.

The server was friendly and prompt, but not knowledgeable about some things like how big the hamburger patties are. Are they 1/3, 1/4, or half pound patties. She was willing to offer to find out. The food was hot and wonderfully good. Prices $40 for 2, kind of pricey foe lunch. Parking: Tyler off Broadway. Its like a restaurant row, and each restaurant has its own parking lot. They have handicap parking. Some areas inside dose have steps. Didnt see any ramps, but I was not looking for them.

I had the the most disgusting looking old fashioned, it had a bunch of orange pulp and tiny ice chips. Customer service wasnt very good , we couldnt seem to get refills, wasnt impressed by the food, was given the check before we had a chance to order desert and they didnt ask if we wanted anything else.

So I havent ordered Applebees in a couple years and ordered to go today. The service was outstanding the time to wait for the food was way less than I expected. The best part about it... The food was on point!!!! The amount of chicken that they put on my plate was mind blowing considering all the bad service Ive had all over Tyler lately. Shrinkflation is a real thing but Applebees didnt do that to me and I want to thank them so much and from the bottom of my heart! Thank you Applebees really for making my day!!! I have always said that I have never had a bad dining experience at Applebees and today was no exception. I had the soup and Caesar salad from the pick two menu and my son had chicken strips and fries from the kids menu. First, the tomato soup was excellent and I just wish that the bowl was bigger. My son was full and didnt finish his chicken strips so I had one and it was good. But the fries were awesome, perfectly cooked and seasoned, crispy and delicious. I always enjoy going to Applebees and will definitely be going back.

Called and ordered the lunch burger. When I got there they charged me for the regular price. When I told them that it was wrong the bartender stated that once we charge a card theres nothing we can do. Soni told her I didnt want their food and I wanted my money back. If you werent going to honor the lunch price when I call you should have just told me instead of wasting my lunch time. The bartender shouldnt have needed a special request to follow the lunch specials if somebody orders one of these specials during the appropriate time.

This was probably my worst restaurant experience ever. The waitress messed up our order. Then completely forgot our appetizers. We finished our meals and the appetizers still hadnt arrived. I mean I understand things happen, we are all human. But our waitress literally abandoned us and we ended up having to get other people that work there to help us. We waited almost a half of an hour just to get our check so we could leave. It was not busy at all. We were the only people sitting on our side of the restaurant. This will be the last time we visit this Applebees. My wife and I have been to several Applebees around the US and we have never had an experience like this.

Went in for a scheduled 4PM interview last week and the manager was busy, and I was asked to wait an hour and a half for the Assistant Manager to show up. Most unprofessional experience of my adult life and I will not be returning. Anyone seeking work should avoid this place. If theyre willing to treat prospective employees like that I can scarcely imagine how people who they hire are treated. I would give them zero stars if I could.

This is the worst we have ever had. First we were served not what we ordered. Then the waitress brought us meat pouring blood. The waitress would walk by with a smirky smile. She said she took $10 off the ticket. I said she should have taken the whole meal off, I never touched it. She said she took off $10. We had a great experience before this time and decided to go again. We had received our steak and it was over cooked it looked like burnt tire. I had asked for a medium rare steak. We waited for a good while until someone came to check on our table. They took it back to make us a new one. While we waited We saw multiple people also returning their steaks. We waited about half a hour to get our new steak. Once we were ready to pay they brought the machine to scan our card and they accidentally gave us the wrong one bill. So then we had to wait about 10 more minutes before we could leave. We got there at 9, we were seated immediately however we didnt leave until 10:30. We rarely go out to eat and we were excited to go on a date. This is the opposite from what we were expecting. We would have understood if it was full however when we got there, there was only two other tables seated. Overall, if you like burt steaks and have time to spare, I would recommend this place.

This was the absolute WORST dinner my family & I have ever experienced in Tyler. To begin with, the wait was over 25 minutes and as we were being seated , over half of the restuarants tables were completely empty. The half rack of ribs were so tough , my dad couldnt even cut them with a steak knife. It took 37 minutes from the time we ordered our food to the time it actually was placed on our table....and the only thing I ordered was a house salad... We definitely will NOT be coming here again.

We had Christmas dinner here and the wait was only 20 minutes although the place was packed at 2pm. I came here for my birthday dinner because of the $1 margaritas. Service was horrible! We waited for the first one, but not too long. It took 25 minutes to get the second margarita and I had even watched our server take them to several other tables while we were waiting. He blamed it on the bartender, but every time he passed us, he asked if we had gotten them yet. Very upsetting. We didnt bother asking for a 3rd. Our order was brought out by someone else, and they forgot the fries. It took a while to flag our server down to get them, and he had completely forgotten about them. I dont think he sent the order in correctly. Overall, I was very disappointed in this location and will likely not return.

The service was extremely slow, despite the fact the restaurant wasnt crowded. The all-you-can-eat boneless wings and fries seemed to be a good deal. The wings tasted good and had a nice texture. UPDATE: The GM - Rachel reached out to me shortly after I posted this review. She was very kind & apologetic & made things right! Service, food and drinks at Applebees in Tyler was great at one time. Now, its all horrible. Went there with a friend last night. He & I were the ONLY two ppl waiting to be seated in an uncrowded restaurant and it took over 5 minutes for us to even be acknowledged. Our waiter took our order quickly. We ordered cheese fries and 2 drinks. The cheese fries were melted shredded cheese on top of a greasy bed of fries. And my drink could not have possibly had any alcohol in it. After waiting almost 45 minutes for our main dishes, we asked for our ticket for the appetizer and drinks and explained it was because we had been waiting too long. The waiter offered to box our food for us.... Why would we wait any longer for you to box up food thats still not ready? I saw him explain to the manager that we were leaving. He returned about 5 minutes later with our ticket. Neither he nor the manager bothered to offer any explanation or apologize for the issues. We sat there as other groups of ppl left. One even explaining to us that theyd had issues as well. I dont know whats happening at Applebees but its a mess!!!

Our family of 13 went in this evening, we dont usually have a good experience at this specific establishment but we give it a few months and try again. Well this evening we went in and they told us it would be 18 % gratuity. Not a big deal we are all waitresses. We know the drill. But as weve seen before automatic gratuity means less service. Keep in mind theres only about 5 tables in the whole place. We waited 15 minutes for drinks to be made and another 15 minutes after we got drinks to have our order taken. We brushed it off. Once the food comes out everything was fine until it came to an order of chicken tenders.... They were the size of a literal finger. So we asked if more could be added and The manager told us no thats just how they are Moving on... We didnt get not one refill. And for those that had alcohol they had to go to the bar to order more.. We brushed that off too. Just chalked it up to poor service due to the the fact that she was getting a mandatory tip. Now what reaaaalllly had me going is they charge gratuity on after tax total. Which is not allowed. You cannot charge a tip based off of taxes and write it on the ticket in pen. I brought it to the managers attention and he said oh its corporate and thats how they said to do it this way I definitely decided tonight was thee last time. We wont go back.

How does a restaurant not have in stock what is on the menu? Poor management? I tried to order a Blue Moon beer. Sorry we are out of draft Blue Moon but we have it in a bottle. Ok, a bottle is fine. Sorry, we are out of bottled Blue Moon too. Just poor management.

Service was good, our waitress was prompt and nice. The food was bland, and they forgot to serve us one of our sides but we got it handled. What Im assuming is the manager came by and asked how we were doing, and we said we were fine. Then they asked me how far along I was and I AM NOT PREGNANT. They apologized but do people not have common sense anymore??

My chicken was overcooked and dry. Shrimp was bland. The boneless chicken wings were so overcooked I couldn t even stab them with my fork. The server was friendly and quick to the table. Obviously, the problem is in the kitchen.

Went here on Friday night. Was seated promptly and the waitress came over and took our drink orders. We got there around 10:45-11 o clock and once we put our drink orders in, the bartender yelled something about last call. It was barely 11:00. When I asked if I could just order two drinks, she said no. The only drinks I could have are the ones I ordered. She hadn t even left our table or rung anything in. The half price appetizers are nice but the spinach dip had zero flavor and was kind of watery. The pretzel sticks were okay, the cheese didn t have much flavor but the mustard was great. The mozzarella sticks tasted like the $1 frozen kind you buy at the supermarket. Very very plain. I think what got me was the fact that the bartender yelled something else about last call at like 11:45. Then AGAIN yelled 3 minutes and then AGAIN yelled gotta have em which prompted our waitress to tell me she needs my beer glass and essentially made me chug the remainder of my drink. Mind you, this place is open until 1am. Do better. Never in my life have I ever been told to finish my drink while my waitress watches me.

Me & 2 friends came in 30 minutes before close. Unfortunately last call had already been called (no hard feelings). We ended up being sat at a booth, Jaylen was our server & he was AMAZING! From the time we sat down till the time we left we had a great time! We really appreciate that his spirits were so upbeat towards us considering we came in right at closing. Great server!!

Food was OK and the employees were fantastic but I rapidly lost my appetite from not purposely listening to a conversation that a woman who. Food was good,friendly staff, their bowl meals are really good. We will definately go back. Would give it 5 sta tr s,but feel its a little pricey. Today 4-15-23 the bartender was sorry. Our waitress was great the food was good. The bartender was told multiple times to please fix our drinks and he just kept hanging out talking at the end of the bar. Finally more than twenty minutes later he made them. The table beside us had the same issue. If I was his boss he would have been fired. I understand why he use to be a manager. Probably didnt manage any better then he tends bar.
