I went for lunch with my family of 5. Our chef was very professional, but also personable! I got the spicy chicken hibachi, but it was hardly spicy. My red flower tea (I think thats what its called) was so bitter, I had to dump 4 sugars in it to make it taste decent. 3 of us got green tea ice cream, and it honestly tasted super low quality and a little freezer burnt. Everything else that came with the meal tasted pretty good.

We eat here often either at the tables up front or the hibachi and man they never disappoint. We have never had a bad experience at this Benihana and will continue to visit for years to come. Picture is hibachi chicken with shrimp veggies and chicken fried rice.

We had an amazing time. We are from out of town, and we have never been to a Benihana before. It was all thanks to our chef, chef Yankee (jose). He cooked everything perfectly and the service was wonderful. The waitress was perfect as well, and she had me a new drink before I even finished my glass. He was treated poorly by some other guests, but he did not let that affect his service toward us in the slightest. We apologized for the other party and made sure to thank him for a wonderful night.

We took our mothers for their first hibachi experience. They loved it! Jake (from State Farm how he told us to remember his name: it worked! LOL!) was our waiter, and he kept the fruity lemonades coming! Jose was a great chef! He embodied the Benihana s experience for our mothers! They re ready to go again! Wait staff, food everything was PERFECT! We always have leftovers, and today was no different. The moms chose the Rocky s Choice entree (steak and chicken), and both had to take it home because they couldn t finish! We love Benihana, and great wait staff like Jake, and chefs like Jose always make it with our while! Photos are their LEFTOVERS!

Worst experience at this a Dallas location. Me and my party of 4 waited over 35mins only to receive drinks, soup and salad. We continue to wait for our food it never came ,but we noticed a table full of Europeans that came in after us received their food before us. Me and my party didn t wanna believe that we were being treated differently ,but it was very obvious. We asked several employees and also a manager what s going on and they all continue to say the same thing let me see no one never came to check on us and give an explanation of why we didn t receive service. We made a conscious decision to not spend our hard earned money where we re not wanted. Benihana lost out on a huge tip from several well paid business owners. I only gave one star so I can post my review otherwise this location deserves zero stars.

Chef Alberto was excellent, very funny and entertained everyone, a true pro and gave us a show with lucky 13 eggs! Our actual server was good but a bit flighty at times and took a while to get beverage refills. Packed for a Sunday. Seems it s gotten unnecessarily expensive but the food was great.

Jesus fix it! The worst experience ever! My husband spent $200 for my birthday and the food is in the trash! The sauce for the shrimp tempora had no flavor, there was no yum in the yum yum sauce, the soup was watery, the rice was hard af, the medium steak was well done, the chicken and shrimp were over cooked! I didn t even want the ice cream after the experience we had! 4 hours of my birthday wasted! The drinks were good but took forever and a day to get! We literally went to McDonald s on the way home! Do you hear how crazy that sounds! We sent $200 at benihanas and went to freaking McDonald s to eat smfh!

Horrible service. We made a reservation and arrived on time. We were shocked how empty it was but at the same time we thought service was going to be quick. We sat down at 6:05pm at our table, server never came, never got greeted. 6:25pm we asked for our server since we didnt know who it was. Server comes at 6:30pm, 25mins after sitting down to finally take our drink order and we put in our food order. The 2 tables behind us, sat down and within 5 minutes they were greeted, and had drinks, all of them. 6:35pm I went and spoke to the manager, told him the situation, told him we have been sitting for 30mins and havent had our drinks and our server just came. I asked if he can please expedite our service, explaining to him the 2 tables were greeted and got drinks within 5 minutes of sitting and we havent even received a glass of water. He replied I will try I said to him, I dont think you should try, I think you need to expedite it, we want at a minimum our drinks. 6:45 no drinks, no soup or salad nothing. We got up and left. This was a horrible experience, left and spent $300 elsewhere. We will never be back! Worse experience from a High Name restaurant. Never again

From the moment we walked in, the entire team made us feel incredibly welcome, despite our late-evening arrival post a long international flight. Our cook, Alberto, was phenomenal! Even though he had worked a double shift, his energy and enthusiasm made it feel like we were his first customers of the day. His personality shoner through as he skillfully prepared our meal, making the dining experience both entertaining and delicious. The food was simply exquisite each dish bursting with flavor, and the presentation was impeccable. Our waitress, Vivian, was equally impressive, attending to our every need with a smile. Whether it was refills, extra sauces, or lemons for our drinks, she was always one step ahead, ensuring we had everything we needed. The restaurant itself was spotless, and the inviting aroma of delicious food filled the air. Even the greeter at the front desk deserves recognition. Although I didnt catch his name, he was extremely hospitable, patient, and professional, offering a complimentary Benihana photo and ensuring that our visit started on a positive note. After about 25 years I think Monday may have been my last time at Benihana. I walked in there about noon to two girls that looked at us like we disturbing them. The service was ok. We had to find someone to get a refill. Now the food was just mediocre unless you like tough steak with no flavor. People at our table had vegetable fried rice we had chicken fried rice. With chicken on the grill cooking on the side by itself the chef cooked the veggie rice so nice and seasoned gave them their rice and then added the dried out Un seasoned chicken to the rice and slightly filled our two bowls. Then this man took the leftover CHICKEN fried rice and gave it the veggie fried rice people, and then threw a few little pieces on our plate That should have been in our bowls. He even put chicken fried rice on the little kids plate. I missed the old school Benihana when you were greeted at the door. The server was always near by, and that food was was tasty!

We went to eat at Irving. We had a guy name Gerardo for our hibachi chef. He said he have 10yrs of experience. All I could say was that the skill level of chefs in Benihana are dead. There was no special acts and not even a single conversation was initiated by the chef. When we think of Benihana, we think of highly skilled, entertaining and high quality food. None was there tonight. Very disappointing. I just wish they live up to there name and train the chef little better.

Ok so here s the deal ..we have been going to this Benihana s for several years it s an older restaurant but we enjoy the happy hour experience. Today, unfortunately we had an uncomfortable experience with an insect also known as a ROACH crawling up the wall as we were eating and drinking at the bar. The response to the roach sighting by the bartender was oh I grew up with them, I know how to handle it. Us: the manager then came out and told us we called the exterminator and the bartender is a pro at killing bugs

Our chef Alberto and our waitress Ana were awesome and attentive during my best friend s birthday celebration. The food was tasty! Took my guy there for his first visit. They ve always been delicious. We went around 2pm during the week so the traffic was minimal. Cocktails are always good. We did not sit inside where the hibachi grills were, but still had options that we could order from there to our booth. Light lunch. Just a few pics taken.

The manager is clearly a racist. Couldnt make eye contact with put table which had all African Americans. We received horrible service in which the waitress was not attentive, and we literally watched our waitress and the manager catering to one table and completely ignoring us. This location has gone down tremendously, and I am a frequent goer.

First impression of place was quite calm and relaxed. Reserved a week before, and was seated instantly. The waitress had drinks and order sent in almost immediately. But here s where things took a turn. Out rolls the chef with his cart. I ve been to hibachi places before, and I ve seen the gimmicks. Not this guy. He starts twirling and tossing spatulas and forks. Behind the head, behind the back, smack. My kids fully invested in this almost cinema worthy show. 5 stars on that chef. Now let s talk food. I don t know what this guy did, but the food was on another level. Everything was cooked to perfection. Seasoned TO PERFECTION. The rice was basically its own narcotic, and the steak and shrimp I don t think this review even does it justice. Is there a 6 star option!? All the while the waitress is refilling and removing plates and cups that empty. The service was incredible. The food was SPECTACULAR. YOU WANT CHEF LU!! He is Him. He is that guy!!

The only very good thing about this place is its beautiful appearance and the location. Otherwise they are going to spend money for a fairly simple experience that is not worth experiencing more than twice. I went on my birthday for the hibachi: they seated us and it took them a long time to start the show, our waitress seemed to be new on the job, we had to ask her almost 5 times for a glass of water, she didnt know the menu and she skipped bringing us some options that were included. The food is good, nothing exceptional for how much you spend. Then I went back to give the sushi a try. I thought the issue of inexperienced waitresses had already passed, but now it was worse. They brought us the sushi and we had no cutlery, chopsticks or napkins. The issue of service in this place is urgent. improve, as I mentioned, a single dish costs you almost 18 dollars, we ordered three plates of sushi and it is unacceptable to have to remember to set the table for you. It really takes away your desire to return, I dont recommend it at all and even less so at special events or you will have a very bad time.

Very disappointed with my experience this evening. We were eating here for our anniversary and had a 30 minute wait (which is totally fine!). After we got sat, we waited 30 minutes and no server had come up to the table. We were sitting with two other couples at the table and we were all getting frustrated. A full table got sat next to us and within 3 minutes, a server was getting their drinks. We got up and left and will not be returning. Terrible service. Too many good restaurants in this area to waste your time here. For the prices, good service is expected, at least for a water.

The warm welcome at the door. It was my children s first time! They enjoyed themselves. Ana was so helpful with the menu and making sure we had everything we needed. worst experience at any restaurant ever!! First off server was very careless and didn t seem like she cared about what she was doing. My wife has a gluten allergy where she becomes very ill if consumed. We told the server all of her food would be gluten free and it turns out her main dish was not at all gluten free. Fine okay things happen. Now this is where I get frustrated. I m mid way through my meal and find a nice LONG black HAIR in my $45 plate. At this point I m done for the evening and ask if they can take it back and just prepare me another one to go. I m visibly upset and I m so grateful that the manager gave us $8 off a $125 disastrous meal. Not a single apology not a single response from anyone. Will not be coming back to the location ever again due to the poor management and customer service, not to mention having the staff shed into my food.
