This is the worst HEB store in Laredo. I left feeling frustrated and disappointed. From the moment you walk in, it s clear that customer service is not a priority here. The staff seems overwhelmed and unapproachable, making it difficult to get assistance when needed. Long lines at the checkout are common, and there often aren t enough cashiers available to handle the volume of shoppers.

Cashiers dont get trained on bagging or what is going on?! This woman throws the heavy box of kosher salt on my green onions, then bags the sweet bread with, again, the heavy box of kosher salt! I should have called for a manager, but I was already too tired to be arguing with people. If this person doesnt like her job she should not be working there. Theres a lot of other places hiring!!! This whole chain of stores is awful. I often get back home with groceries to find the produce, like shallots or bell peppers moldy inside! And what can we do? They almost have a monopoly on grocers here! Guess were just all screwed and at their mercy. Oh and every single manager Ive spoken to is very incompetent and has no social skills.

I have shopped at HEB for all 7 years that I have lived in Texas. I had a problem, once, with 2 cans of sealed beans. My wife just wrote it off and threw them in the trash. I pulled it out, put it in a zip lock, emailed HEB and took it to the store. I interrupted a manager with the email that I received on the same day I complained. He fixed EVERYTHING in an instant. He had someone get me 2 cans of replacement beans while we were shopping. I know, it was less than $3, I even told him that I dont want anything other than to make sure that no one gets sick. I have never been in this situation before, but Thank You HEB! I am proud to shop there.

I love HEB, and I had not had a problem until last week. I have a service dog and she had her tags on but this older lady who was standing at the door said her tags were not enough, and I must show her certified papers with a picture of my dog, and I said, Lady those papers are important documents, like a birth certificate, which I do not carry with me. So then what? Are you not going to let me come in? Shes got her tags on. And she said no you cannot come in with that animal. I was ready to flip on her, but all I did was say, watch me. Then she said Im going to call the manager. So I replied by saying, Call him because if he is educated in service animals he will let you know that you asking for my papers is illegal and denying my dog and I entry to the store calls for a lawsuit against you and HEB. So call him please. She then started yelling I dont know what as I walked away and followed me around the store getting all the employees and customers to look at me and embarrassed me. I was in there for some fruit and sugar and left as quick as I could forgetting a bunch of other things I wanted to get. Oh! And as I was walking towards the cash registers, this man wearing an HEB button up black shirt came charging at me and clapped in my dogs face... Was that a test? What was he trying to do? Freak out my dog to prove shes not in service? Thats dangerous for him and everyone around us, these ignorant people are lucky that I have the best trained dog in the world and she acted calm, cool, and collected. Not all the employees here are ignorant but it takes one bad apple to ruin the bunch. Im avoiding this HEB as much as possible. DO NOT COME HERE IF YOU HAVE A SERVICE ANIMAL.

Old school! Feels like a time warp here. Every HEB is tailored to meet the surrounding neighborhoods culture and thus one is no different. Heavy Mexican influence and great tasting hot ready-made food makes this one of my favorite HEBs. I like the huge tent, as ugly as it looks from the street, underneath the shopping carts are cool and shaded benches are there to wait for your ride. Food layout is easy to navigate and plenty of fresh fruits and veggies.

I asked him if I could use the self check because he was standing right in front of both of them, I asked him and his response was if you want in an insolent and rude tone.. This is by far one of the best grocery stores I have been to. This Texas grocery store chain has everything. The best part is that you never have to use self checkout. Always multiple registers open with baggers at most, so the checkout process is a breeze. Wish they would expand to PA.

Need better customer service, I asked where the mail clippers are and this employee told me she didnt know, laughed and told me to keep looking if Im smart. I read like thanks for offending me. This was said in front of people. I was busy and embarrassed. Waisting money on your products. To get treated this way. Im paying its not like I was looking for a donation, charity... Everything is fine with the grocery items, but they should remove those carts that cook roast meat with charcoal that are outside the store. They make the atmosphere inside become unbearable due to the smoke they produce and the only thing you want is to get out as quickly as possible. possible.
