With my wife filing for divorce & with little hope to cling too, I reached out to several lawyers in the Conroe/Woodlands area. Luckily, I called Adam Looney. He worked with me (& continues to) on a personal level with a payment plan that I could afford & I guarantee you he worked harder on my case than any of the other firms would have. Guiding me through a cold mediation & providing an edge to his client, he stood up for my rights & saved more of what I worked for than I thot possible. He knew the ins & outs, the pitfalls & how to traverse the obstacles before a father facing this type of hostility. He was well liked everywhere we went because he treated everyone with the same respect & I believe this fact went a long way in determining the outcome of my case. Divorce is ugly but if you have to go thru it, you re going to want this man on your side. Nothing but the highest recommendations for Mr. Adam Looney Thank you

I ve read the positive reviews here and honestly have no idea who in the hell these people are describing. The Adam Looney that represented me was a buffoon from start to finish. He was in so far over his head, I almost felt sorry for him. Edited to add: the writing was on the wall from the beginning. He never returned calls, was late to appointments, and was completely obtuse. Recently other Montgomery county attorneys have shared with me their lack of respect for him and his (lack of) reputation among his peers. I feel like I was the last to find out, and his complete ineffectiveness has changed my life forever. It s been absolutely devastating. At trial, opposing counsel made a complete fool of him. The judge literally mocked him and his lack of professionalism and understanding of the law. Evidence that I spent months gathering and providing to him- was never even submitted to the court. He showed up to court in wrinkled, sloppy, clothes- a cheap jacket and pants, not even a suit. His tie was crooked, not even under his collar, and his shirt was dingy and missing buttons. After a shocking verdict (not in my favor) and in light of his complete and utter failure, I reached out to him. I was completely out of money, having spent well into 5 figures on this case over the years. He eventually responded and stated he d be happy to confer with me and offer some advice. Then he ghosted me. Yup! Ghosted me. So after 15 years of having SOLE Legal Guardianship of my children, I no longer even see them. Custody was given to my ex-husband; they have all been subjected to intense parental alienation, and I no longer have the money to fight this case, or even afford representation to have my visitation enforced. I literally do not see or speak to my children, after being a single parent with SOLE custody for their entire lives. I can honestly say, trusting Adam Looney is the worst decision I ve ever made in my life. He s a horrible lawyer, and a horrible human. Edited to add- while my case was in process, Looneys paralegal quit, he lost his office space, and at one point told me he was stepping away from practicing law in order to accept an advisory position with the courts. (Never happened.) Its no surprise at all that you dont remember the facts of my case. You were out to lunch during the entire process. I remember everything, and Ill happily provide proof to anyone that wants to ask. This review is not anonymous. And any other reviews (positive or negative) of restaurants or manicures have very little to do with the magnitude of your failure and the hope that no one else would ever trust you for representation. You profusely apologized the last time I saw you. You knew what a colossal failure you were. I emailed you a follow up, you agreed to help, and then you ghosted me. Ill be happy to provide *anyone* copies of emails, correspondence, itemized phone bills, as well as verification from those in the courtroom that witnessed you so out of your depth it was cringe-worthy. Your denials are sickening and I have no doubt all your glowing reviews were from compensated posters. BEWARE! As another MOCO lawyer said to me: you didnt have some hints when you saw his name? Hes known as an absolute joke! Silly comment, but unfortunately true. Comments regarding personal appearance are relevant since most attorneys show some sense of appearance. Its inappropriate to show up to court in a tube top, correct? Its also inappropriate to show up in dirty, mismatched clothes that look like youve slept in them for a week. Just another component of the completely ineffective representation. Again- BEWARE

At a time of desperation, (2 buiness days prior to Mediation), I was lucky to find Adam. With very, very short notice Adam took on my challenging divorce, which included several personal things including but not limited to child custody, protection orders, and family violence. Adam was very professional during all of my interactions with not only myself, but my ex husband as well. During mediation, Adam was SO helpful. Adam fought for me and my rights. I ended up with everything I wanted and I know for fact that I wouldnt have been able to do it without Adam. If I could rate Mr. Looney with more than five stars, I would. I couldnt be more greatful for him to take on my case with such short notice.

Adam was one of the first attorneys I called when I realized divorce, and a child custody battle was an inevitability. He does a top notch job explaining things. No one can feel 100% brave/confident going to court in situations like these, but having Adam on your side will make you feel 100 times better. He is knowledgeable of the process, he keeps expectations in check, goes above and beyond by giving good advice outside the legal realm as well. As long as he is practicing he is my #1 guy. I cannot recommend him enough.

Adam was very helpful and compassionate. He helped me through a very difficult divorce. He was able to work with me through many issues involving custody of my children. He cared a lot about the well being of my kids and myself. He was kind and compassionate and helped me even when I could not pay. I recommend him highly to get your divorce finish!!
