A Cautionary Tale: Hopkins Centrich Law Firm Falls Short of Expectations Rating: (1/5) I regret to share a deeply disappointing experience with Hopkins Centrich Law Firm, an establishment that, based on their advertising, appeared to be a promising choice for handling my specific case. My interaction with this firm, however, has left me profoundly dissatisfied and disillusioned. From the outset, I was drawn in by Hopkins Centrichs self-proclaimed specialization in the type of case I wished to file. Motivated by their marketing, I proceeded to engage their services and handed over a substantial $25,000 retainer. Little did I know that this would mark the beginning of a frustrating and regrettable ordeal. Despite their initial assurances and promises, Hopkins Centrich failed to uphold their end of the bargain. Over the course of a year, they claimed to be diligently preparing my case but, to my dismay, never actually filed anything. What followed was a complete breakdown in communication. My attempts to reach out via phone calls and emails were met with silence, leaving me in the dark about the status of my case and the reasons for their sudden lack of responsiveness. When I finally mustered the courage to request a refund of my retainer and the return of my case file, Hopkins Centrichs conduct took a turn for the worse. They begrudgingly returned only $21,000 of the retainer, withholding a significant portion without any valid explanation. Shockingly, they flat-out refused to provide me with my case file, a clear violation of the transparency and accountability one would expect from a reputable law firm. Compounding the issue, Hopkins Centrich displayed a blatant disregard for the State Bars informal and formal complaint resolution processes. They ignored attempts to address the communication breakdown through the established channels, leaving me without recourse for the mistreatment I endured. My interactions were primarily with Kirby Hopkins, and it was disheartening to find that when communication ceased, no one else in the firm stepped in to rectify the situation. The lack of internal accountability only further underscores the unprofessionalism and lack of integrity within the firm. In conclusion, my experience with Hopkins Centrich Law Firm has been nothing short of a cautionary tale. Prospective clients should exercise extreme caution before entrusting this firm with their cases or hard-earned money. The misleading claims, poor communication, and unresponsiveness exhibited by Hopkins Centrich are a disservice to the legal profession, and I sincerely hope that others are spared from falling victim to similar deception.

Our firm recently hired Lee Winkelman to handle a situation with a terminated employee. It was a difficult problem and extremely time sensitive. Mr. Winkelman handled the issue with absolute professionalism and of course, obtained a great result very quickly. Ive known Lee for several years as a colleague and friend, so I was aware of his skillset, but fortunately, Id never had to use him. Im glad I did, and the cost to do so was more than fair. Previous to that, I recommended Joe Centrich to my family in a very serious matter where another individual attempted to take over their business. They hired Joe, and the result wasnt just a win, it was a home run. The court denied the other party everything they were attempting to get, and determined that the entire basis of their lawsuit was unenforceable. In other words, the result was better than a home run. It was a grand slam. Kirby Hopkins and I worked together previously at a large law firm, and additionally, weve served as board members of The Woodlands Bar Association together. Kirby is incredibly well-respected, well-liked, and even-keeled. His professionalism and ability to guide his clients through undoubtedly difficult circumstances are as good as any attorney youll find. His results speak for themselves.
