Recently had a terrible service experience. 5 guests, 3 glasses of wine and one cocktail ordered...about a hour later all drinks were served. We kept getting the reason that the bar was backed up. First up, the cocktail...which we later found out was actually only soda with lime and no vodka. Then 2 of the 3 wines came out this was about the 40 minute mark. How is it that you can pour 2 glasses of wine but not 3 at one time? Lastly, my wine comes out and it was just about an hour from order. It was about this time we also got a new server, not requested so they knew there was a problem. Shortly after, our apps started to arrive...all good. The mains came out and surprisingly all steaks were cooked as ordered. The first server wrote nothing down so we werent sure about this. Overall, the food was good and the service ended up being good but we were really put out about the drink situation and that a manager never came over to apologize or say anything at all. Even the second server wasnt told why she had been assigned to us.

We had the pleasure of working with Churrascos for catering at a two-day corporate event hosted at Madera Estates, and they did an outstanding job! For breakfast, they provided delicious breakfast tacos and fresh fruit, and for lunch, we enjoyed an amazing salad bar one day and flavorful fajitas with rice the next. What truly stood out was how they went above and beyond to accommodate a variety of specific dietary needs and allergies. Every guest was able to enjoy something delicious and never felt like an afterthought. Their attention to detail and commitment to making sure everyone had a great experience was incredible. Highly recommend Churrascos for any event!

What a fun spot! The decor and ambiance is elegant but the service had non of the pretentiousness of many places. Everyone was so kind and helpful they made sure we got what we needed. We tried the calamari, plantain chicken, and the carne asada. Everything was high quality and tasty. The drinks were good. I loved the plantain chips and salsa they served. If you re in the woodlands it s a must try.

We went for restaurant week and the food selection on the menu was excellent. The service was outstanding. However, the food was not very good. We had a party of 18 with us and they could not divide the bill to the respective couples. Therefore, we had to figure out the cost of tax and gratuity, I felt bad for the waiter since it wasnt his fault. They need to update their systems and need to step their game up with food.

Houston restaurant week never disappoints! We stopped by this restaurant while walking on Waterway in The Woodlands. We were greeted by one of the waitresses, her name is Ranya and she is super sweet, she seated us by the window but she ended up not being our waitress. The reason Im giving four stars to the restaurant is because of the service that we got from our waiter. He was cold and unwelcoming, never smiled, and never refilled our water. I have to say that food was very good, the Churrasco Steak was amazingly juicy and tender, Salmon was also really good, and cooked to perfection! For appetisers we had crab cakes and a salad, for dessert we chose Chocolate mousse and Tres Leches with fruit. We couldn t find any fruit in there though, just a few preserved berries. The chocolate one was really nice. Also, their dessert spoons are oddly big and heavy, more like soup spoons. Since our waiter was nowhere to be found, we asked the hostess to bring us smaller spoons, she brought us one, then we had to tell her that there are two of us. After that she stopped acknowledging us and didn t even say goodbye when we were leaving. Overall I definitely recommend this restaurant for their food, their location, and the waterfront view

I have been meaning to write a review for months and put it on the back burner. Weve been coming to this restaurant for several years, especially brunch. We love brunch here. This review is strictly on the service and the fact that our server FELT obligated to include her OWN gratuity, which was way more than I would have given her. As a paying customer, I feel that I should be allowed to pay what I deemed necessary for the service that I received. The server took down our initial drink order but we chased her down for everything we needed. It was towards the end of brunch which it was not overly busy. Kid-friendliness: Pancakes & Waffle bar always a hit with my kids.

July 20, 2024 Im celebrating my birthday, for the brunch... When we got there at 12pm nobody (other customers) were there and the food on the brunch buffet was cold. The food is good but it shouldnt be cold and also we were getting looks like we might eat up all of the food on the buffet. ( I mean hey Im paying 40 bucks here) Manuel, the server sucked and it seemed as if he didnt want to be at work. He didnt remove the plates off the table in a timely manner he also didnt offer refills like he shouldve and to top it off he decided to take the 20% gratuity at the end of our meal because the party was more than 10 ppl and (thats not even practiced in Texas any more) I feel like he stole the gratuity especially since he told us after he brought our receipts back the the system automatically takes out the gratuity. He was definitely not worth 20%.. The Sugarland location is much better and they dont steal.

The waiter Manuel charged my card a 20% tip without asking me, then came back to the table saying gratuity was already included. I understand that we were a party 10, but being told this standard policy of charging 20% gratuity, initial receipt gives the option of an 18% or 20% gratuity not stating gratuity will automatically be added for party of 6 or more. Only once we asked the manager and AFTER already charging my card seems underhanded and sneaky. I am glad to tip waitstaff but do not appreciate someone taking advantage of the fact they are swiping my card and putting in whatever amount suits them. Always enjoy Churrasco s Sugar Land, but tried the Woodlands location for a family member s birthday and closer to their home. Not to mention the Brunch buffet food was cold considering it started at 11 am and our reservation was for noon. This is supposed to be a nice restaurant, so I did not expect these types of issues from somewhere like Churrascos

The place is very beautiful inside and has a pleasant terrace from where you can appreciate the view. We were served by two waiters, one was very friendly and the other was quite dismissive at first. I felt uncomfortable and unwelcome at first. I almost want to say it was discriminatory. Anyway, I want to say that, although the place itself is nice, they should work on ensuring that the waiters serve all their customers in a good way.

Brunch at 1 and seated at 2. Very poor quality across the board. Shrimp were way over cooked. We were told they were out of crab then 45 minutes later frozen crap was delivered and no utensils were provided to pick it up. One of the bathrooms had an overflowing toilet with no wet floor signs or public safety warnings. It was also very hot inside. There was a very long line of angry customers packed in the front and likely a fire safety issue. Management didnt seem engaged at all. For a table of 9 you would expect some attention.

I finally approached him (since he never once came to our table to check on things) and asked him what the hold up was. He began to offer excuses, I turned away from him and he proceeded to grab my arm. I wont share the rest of experience but please DO NOT COME HERE. Our waiter was good.

The worst experience Ive ever had in my life at any restaurant ever. I am a restaurant manager and I live everyday the expectation of guest service and this wasnt anywhere close. Lets start with the roach on the wall that we had to kill as soon as we arrived.. which we tried not to make a big deal about. We were a party of 15 and lets keep in mind the restaurant was empty and what we learn is that if they are having a slow night they decide to close earlier so do not trust their posted hours of operations. The server was rushing us the whole time, not very hospitable. My husband 60$ steak came out rare barely cooked and cold when we ordered it medium rare... no big deal. We asked the sever remove the plates from the table several times. Never got any refills of the sodas at the table. The soups we ordered were cold... fully cold, the food was very subpar.. We asked for kids menu several times. After a very poor birthday dinner we are walking out and the manager starts to argue with us about the temperature of the steak being correct (there was 3 general managers of high volume restaurants at a table) we know when a steak is not cooked correctly .. and we know you dont argue with guest when we are killing roaches off the wall. The manager full on argued with us about our horrible experience trying to defend his extremely poorly ran execution. Makes sense why the restaurant was empty on a Friday night. We will never come back here again and will make sure others know not to spend their hard earned money at such stablishment.

I would ve gladly paid for whatever dessert offered for birthdays, just to make the birthday person feel special. However, I wasn t given the option.

Went today for Sunday brunch. Yeah, it s a little pricey, but it s a nice restaurant right on the waterway. Everything was good. Some things stood out better than others. The waffle/omelet/pasta bar and carving area are the highlights. I did not have an omelette but I did have pasta - it was awesome spiral pasta with chicken, shrimp, bacon, fresh spinach, cheese red & white pasta sauces!! Tenderloin was perfectly cooked and tender. Waffle cooked just right with plenty of toppings. Then on the buffet side, too many things to mention. We went kind of late and some things on the buffet just weren t turned over quick enough and were not as good as if they were fresh. So my recommendation would be to go early. Desserts were delicious. Oh and $5 Bloody Mary / Sangria / Margarita / Mimosa!

Wednesday night steak nights should become a regular thing for people looking for a solidly great steak and seasoned fries at a reasonable price. Unfortunately, theres very little tabletop promotion to make patrons aware. Even some of the staff dont know about Wednesday night steak promo! But the happy menu specials for food, wine, and cocktails is really good and a reason to come in regularly. The chocolate cake with ganache is light enough for the right finish to a lovely dinner. Will be coming back, and looking forward to seeing a wine dinner offering and some other specials geared towards the solo diner!

Had a Friday night reservation at 6:30pm that was made weeks in advance for a party of 8 (work team holiday party). Called 2 days prior to adjust party size to 7, confirmed via phone and received email confirmation. Friday night at 6:10pm a person at the restaurant calls and states theyre cancelling the reservation due to a private event. Mind you, this is 20 minutes prior to the reservation! If you want to enjoy a night out with your family or hosting your own team/customers then I wouldnt trust Churrascos with that responsibility. This was a clear example of a lack of work processes or principles, or both. Imagine hosting people from out of town and being told we dont care about your reservation 20 minutes prior. If you do make a reservation, hope they honor it or you and your guests will be standing out in the cold scrambling for an alternative. Luckily Kirby Steakhouse was able to provide a solution for a party of 7 within 30 minutes on a Friday night. Thats an example of having principles and understanding ultimately that you are in the service industry. Upon trying to find someone in corporate to contact I found an employee collective action lawsuit against Cordua Restaurants (owner of Churrascos). Google this: cordua case: 19-60630. Upon my experience, reading that lawsuit, and recent reviews of customers that dined here, the company is being poorly managed it appears. Best of luck this holiday season if you have reservations here or any other Cordua Restaurants business. Dont make the mistake of thinking that calling ahead will matter for your reservation. Instead, I would go to one of the many other wonderful restaurants in The Woodlands.

Went for anniversary 15 year advised them it was my anniversary before getting there twice they did nothing for us. My wife s steak was raw when it came back is was burned. Restroom lamp was duct taped together. They had exposed cleaning products and overall dirty floors. Worst $150 for 2 I have ever spent never going back Parking: They validated parking so that was nice

This place has really gone down hill. The service was slow, the food was mediocre compared to what it once was, and a lot of the restaurant was in disrepair and/or dirty. The menu was a single laminated page like a roadside diner, printed in ultra tiny font with no backer/folder/etc. The water fountain wasn t working, half the lights in the restroom were burned out, they had paper towels sitting on the counter because the towel dispenser had ben ripped of the wall. And to add insult to injury, we made reservations for two for our anniversary and got seated in the big event room alongside a table of twenty instead of one of the tables with a view. I get that we re living in Bidenomics, but this isn t worth anywhere near $100 per person. While this was an old favorite, better meals with better ambience can be had in lots of places for a better price.

Green salads, fruit, plantain chips and fried plantains, ceviche, smoked salmon, variety of chicken, ribs, lamb, pork, rib-eye, beef, assorted desserts, waffle station, omelette station, giant shrimp, rice, pasta, bread, sauces, potatoes, Brussels sprouts, empanadas and a great selection of cocktails including sangria and mimosas. We arrived at 11 am and got a nice table overlooking the waterway. By noon the place was packed. Make sure to make reservations. We ll be back again!

Ive only been for the Sunday brunch, which goes from open to 3. If I recall correctly, it was $35 per person and you get a plethora of choices and delicious, fresh food to choose from. Its not a basic buffet where they just toss stuff on the line, its the same stuff you can normally order off the regular menu. Its a great way to try (and indulge) in various different entrees. It beckons for another visit again soon. Pro tip....just around the corner is the Marriott parking garage. You should also see signage with various restaurant logos at the entrance. Park there and ask for a barcode (parking validation) when youre leaving the restaurant. Itll afford you 3 hours of free parking in that garage from when your server produces it. So if you want to go shop or catch a movie, you have that time slot available.

Finally made it here and didn t realize it was Restaurant week but that s either here nor there because me being who I am I ordered from the regular menu! First off the atmosphere is wonderful. You can come dressed or casual and you won t feel out of place. We were seated but the window and we had a lovely view of the Waterway. Once seated we were given these amazing plantain chips with salsa and this green pesto like dip. It was wonderful. The plantain chips are great and I don t know how they prepare the salsa but it has to be freshly made it was bursting with flavor and the pesto like green sauce (i forgot to ask what it was called) had a nice heat to it. We ordered drinks and appetizers. The appetizers were the lamb lollipopchops and sirena (shrimp encrusted with plantain chips). OMG! You will it go wrong if you order these two appetizers they are so worth the price. The lamb was served with Yuka fries and it was cooked to perfection. Honestly I could have eaten it as a meal. The shrimp was skewer and served with the most flavorful tartar sauce. Dinner was the owners cut filet mignon served with jalapeño risotto and a mushroom Foi Gras and the ribeye served with asparagus and mashed potatoes. First up the filet mignon!! I ordered it medium and it had the most wonderful crusting and was melt in your mouth amazing. Paired with jalapeño risotto which was so creamy and bursting with excellence I mean it wasn t to spicy but it complimented the filet mignon so well. The entire dish was TOP TIER. I had a bite of the ribeye and like the filet it was prepared medium and it was absolutely perfect. The asparagus had a nice smoke to it and it was huge I ve never seen asparagus that big and also I would eat it again and I m not really a fan. Now the mashed potatoes were just mashed potatoes nothing special about themselves if you can sub out for jalapeño risotto DO IT. Lastly we ordered a side of the rum plantains and I m a HUGE fan of plantains and I was looking forward to the sweetness and rum but sadly they were underwhelming. Whatever was drizzled over the plantains did not add to the dish nor could I taste any sweetness or rum. The drizzle had a bit of a sour taste. If I order again I ll ask to leave that part off but you might like it that way so give it a try. Now the only reason the service is getting 3 stars is our waiter was not attentive in the least. We were left waiting several times and to the point where the gentleman who served us chips had to get the waiter. Finally when it was time to pay I didn t bother looking at the receipt just handed my card and waited for him to return. Now I don t know if it s standard practice at this restaurant but I was handed the bill and our waited had handwritten the tip suggestions (there were three). Now like I said I don t know if the restaurant has them do this but I found it, rather rude and insulting and I ll explain why. Its as if you are assuming I m not going to tip or I can t calculate my own tip. I would suggest not doing this in the future. Or just have it printed up like it does at some restaurants. Just for reference my bill was over $200. All and all I would return and recommend to anyone who asks my opinion because the food was PHENOMENAL!!

The food was pretty good but just know if you go here they charge you for your food plus tax and a gratuity fee without informing you of it and it doesnt show on the receipt. The only way you will find out is if you do like I did and check your bank statement as I do not matter where I go. I called to address the restaurant about this and the women hung up in my face. My server at the restaurant was a male named Lizama server ID #37 and he only came to my table twice but I didnt need anything. The tip was really not a issue its just about not being transparent basically theft by omission.

First time at the Woodlands Churrascos. By far the worst thing is that the dining area must have been 85 degrees or over for the entire meal. We were using menus to fan ourselves. Wait staff said its been hot but would not elaborate. I know its summer in Houston and I also know its hot but thats why you have commercial grade air conditioning. I could only spot two vents in our dining area. At least put some fans or turn down the thermostat and pay the bill at the end of the month like we all have to. If the AC was broken, then you shouldnt be open for business. Our waiter was great, but he seemed overworked and spread out a bit thin. I have to say props to the waiters and bussing staff that were working; Im not sure how they did their job in that heat. Tried the restaurant weeks menu. Food was good but the wine on the RW menu is not discounted ( found out at end of meal); leave the wine off the special menu if its not priced at a discount. Needless to say. Probably not going back and would not recommend anyone go either unless you want to sweat.

I went here with my father and it went above our expectations. I got the carne asada medium rare and it was perfectly cooked. Usually restaurants overcook it because its such a thin piece of meat. She did amazing and made the whole experience great! We will definitely return in the future.

We were given our food and never saw the waiter again after that. Our group wanted dessert but due to waiting extensively just to ask for the check we decided to leave and give someone else money for our dessert. It was also way too loud to have any conversations which contributed to us wanting to leave early.

We had dinner here the other night and it was amazing. They seated us in a quiet corner which was perfect for a couple enjoying an intimate dinner. And when they led me to the table I noticed that they had a bottle of wine already out. Which Ive never seen before. It was amazing. It was there own label, a malbec and it tasted wonderful, a perfect start for the night. We got seated and I selected the chicken empanadas with cilantro sauce and it was awesome. So our waitress was Sharon and she recommended the lambchops. She recommended a hit so I got mi amor the lambchops and I got the Chilean sea bass, everything was amazing. We saved room. For dessert and mi amor particularly was entranced by the tres leches so we selected that. I would suggest that when one order the tree leches that they get it doused in the alcohol topping and set on fire at the table, it truly makes the flavor comes out. That was a suggestion from Sharon and she really knows her stuff so Bravo, five stars for a perfect romantic dinner. I love those.we certainly will be back.

There s a reason why everyone complains about the management . don t like the idea of fancy restaurants with no ambiance or atmosphere and it was empty on a Friday evening. That kinda just defeats the fact of it being upscale. if that s the image they re trying to strive for they should try a different approach.. like cyclone Anya s they are way better and the vibe and atmosphere there is amazing. not boring and Plain like Churrascos.

We were visiting Houston from Dallas for the day. We were excited to have lunch here and definitely regretted it! WE LEFT WITHOUT EATING. It began well with the complimentary plantain chips. Our waiter was polite and it wasn t busy yet. We arrived just before the lunch crowd. Well the kitchen must ve been extremely disorganized because when the crowds came.. our food still wasn t served. And then everything got backed up. We waited over an hour for our food so we moved to the outdoor patio for fresh air. When the food finally arrived, there were mistakes. My fiancé said NO bacon since he doesn t eat pork. They made his meal with pork, which he realized only after digging in. My food tasted very sour. I actually spit it out. We tipped the server (Chris), but needless to say this was a huge disappointment and we left on our roadtrip hangry . We had a long drive back to Dallas and were starving, but had no time to eat anywhere else.
