Always love visiting studio movie grill! The food is delicious, popcorn is fresh and the staff is great. My only complaint is there is never enough room for all the food and drinks! They sold really expand Cupholders and tray size!

Overall it was a positive experience and I expect to go back. The seats recline with plenty of room, it was comfy even while eating on the turn-out tray, the theater was upscale and clean. The surround sound was very noticeable on the rear channels However I do have 2 suggestions for anyone reading which wouldve improved the experience: Firstly is about the instructions on the ticket. My movie was scheduled for 6:30PM on a Friday, and the ticket says to arrive 20 minutes early. So I arrived at 6:10, went to the theater which had just finished being cleaned, and found my seat. This was FAR too early though, I dont believe the trailers even started until after 6:45. The ticket also said to find your seat & place an order. Luckily I didnt order immediately and waited until probably about 6:25, which again, was still way too early. It wouldve been nice if the food order (other than drinks) was held till closer to the movie starting. Secondly: One of the things I ordered was cheese fries, as I just wanted something small I could munch on slowly. Im not sure if this is a Texas thing, but queso poured over fries does NOT constitute cheese fries. The queso gets absorbed into the fries, the whole thing devolves into a soggy mess... just put shredded cheddar or parm (with the bacon) on fries and put it in the oven for a bit. It would be much more delicious

Upscale and very clean. Theater was spacious between rows. Recliner seats have a tray with a cupholder, menu QR and service button. I was here at 3pm on a Wednesday and it was deserted. I was the only person in the theater when I ordered popcorn, candy and a soda. Order quickly arrived without the candy. Not a biggie but I felt bad making them go retrieve it. I wish there was the option to order certain quick items (like the ones I got) at a concession stand instead of via a server. Had to pay the 18% automatic gratuity on basic theater snacks. I also wish that the seats would stay static in whatever position you want them. Or at least not move as easily as they do. Every time I budged the seat position would change and Id have to re-position it back to how I wanted.

If there was possibility to leave zero stars I would do that. We had some complaints that got almost zero to little customer service. We tried to be nice and respectful but it seemed as the servers did not care and gave us bunch of attitude. So, we had asked for the manager but as well the manager gave us a I don t care attitude and made the whole situation difficult. I believed his name started with a Jd?, I wasn t paying that much attention as I just wanted to go because I was done with the whole situation. I loved going here but after the way I was treated I m not sure if I ll stop by anymore.

New seats are soooo bad!! I literally can t put my hand or arm down without being in the left guests chair. Chairs aren t heated and they don t stay back unless you don t move your feet. They fold up. HORRIBLE DESIGN

Let me preface this by saying I work in customer service, and I would NEVER treat anyone the way this establishment treated my wife and I tonight, let alone people in distress like we were. My wife and I are both disabled but will drive nearly 40 minutes to this theater because it s our safe theater. Not anymore. My wallet fell out of my pocket while I was sitting in my seat for our movie. We got home, realized and immediately started driving back. I called the location repeatedly the whole way there and no one would answer. When we got there I explained what happened and the apathetic employee just told me over and over again that she can t let us in because the next movie already started. I asked if they can go in and check the seat and she said that no employee is allowed to go in once the movie is started, company policy (which is wild since they interrupted our movie several times to deliver our food and other guests food but we didn t care because thats expected at this type of theater not to mention the 50+ times we watched employees go into this theater while they made us wait through the next movie). We asked for a manager and she rolled her eyes and called for one. The manager came up and had the same apathetic attitude and said we were not allowed to go in until the next movie was over nearly 3 hours later. We never raised our voices or used foul language but we were treated like these employees could not care less about what a distressing situation this was for us. We were not offered even so much as water while we waited, which may have helped us feel more at ease. Or even have them show some empathy or offer to wait outside the theater and ask patrons if they saw my wallet as they left. After waiting there for a while I saw on their movie board that they lied about the movie having already started when we got back there. It hadn t, the movie in that theater was only showing trailers when we got there. No customer would have thrown a fit about a movie trailer they could watch on YouTube being interrupted for 60 seconds so I could grab my wallet. And worst case scenario they could have just comped those guests tickets if they did get upset, that s what I would have done if I was the manager. We ended up calling the cops after I found out they lied about the movie starting because I started to fear one of the employees stole the wallet and was stalling us. There were also multiple employees gossiping about us and making jokes about the situation within ear and eye sight of us while we waited, even making direct eye contact like they were trying to antagonize us. They were on such a power trip they refused to let even the police officer go and retrieve my wallet. The cop was appalled, he told them they were being ridiculous and it was my property and we would be discreet. They blocked the cop from entering the theater and refused to cooperate. The cop told them they needed to at minimum let us look as soon as people start leaving the theater and don t escalate this further. Again, all of this they caused rather than letting us go in quickly and grab my wallet in less than 60 seconds during the trailers! Finally when people started leaving the theater we went down there and they made us wait at the door until they escorted us in like criminals needing to be monitored. We asked the people getting up from our previous seats if they saw it and they were really kind and said they didn t but hoped we found it, I fully believe these customers would have happily let us check the seat during the trailers for my wallet with how respectful they were as they left. Once they got up, it took me literally 12 seconds to walk to the seat, reach my hand between the seat cushion and get my wallet. 12 seconds. My wallet was right there in that theater for nearly 4 hours at that point and it only took me 12 seconds to get it. They put us through this entire ordeal for nothing more than a power trip. This was the worst customer service I have ever experienced in my life.

Sat in the back row in the center because thats usually the best spot in the house. Nope. Not here. The screen is small from the back row and the chair in front of me covers up about 1/3 of the screen when I recline. Chair was decent though. Oh, and you can also hear every single other movie at the same time.

Went with the family yesterday and we all agreed it was the first and last time wed go here. the facility was in horrible shape, chairs were torn, bathrooms were dirty and in dire need of maintenance, wait staff was nice but they had no clue whos order went where. the mandatory 18% gratuity is a joke and was just the cherry on top of why we wont come back.

The only reason Im giving 3 stars is because I specifically told the waiter when I ordered the sliders no tomatoes because Im allergic to them it was dark in theater so when I only ate half of 1 and decided to take them to go when I got home I realized the burgers had on them I couldnt taste them after eating half of the burger because it was so dry and Im lucky I didnt have an allergic reaction

I ve been going for yrs, love this place, even have the membership. The other day my daughter and I went and ordered a frozen Rita with a swirl and the server accidentally dumped the entire frozen drink in my lap. It was horrible. I was soaked from the waist down, it was so cold. I had to move of course, as I m sitting there soaked the mgr Jeff followed up after the first mgr and stated she did more than he would and even blamed the waiters mistake on me. Wouldn t do anything for me and walked away. So I took the 3 movie tickets and split the new drink between my daughter and I and got Jeff s bosses info. The next day I did call his mgr, Jessica Rhoad s, she was absolutely fabulous. Jessica was apologizing and offered to comp the meal, so thoughtful. This is customer service. Jessica . My wife & I ventured out to this location on a Friday evening. We walked in and were quickly greeted and assisted. Our movie was a little pricey however its been a while since we have been to a movie theater. We were 10 minutes early for seating, so we had a seat in the lobby. This place had plenty of comfortable seats. A bar area for those who might want a beverage before entering the actual seating for the movie. Time to seat: we walked down a long dark but barely lit hallway. This kind of set the tone for a great experience, in my opinion. We walked into our movie area and easily found our seat because its marked with numbers. The seats are comfortable and lays back. There was a hand rest with a button for service and barcode for the menu they offer. Movie show: The screen was vibrant and early seen. The sound was a bit loud, but overall, it worked for the movie we were viewing. Leaving: We exited our location after the movie to use the restrooms. The restrooms are spacious & clean. Walking out into the hall to exit, the manager asked if we enjoyed our movie & staff as well. Enjoyed the hospitality/ customers. We will definitely be back...

This is the only movie theater we go to because we like it so much. Recently renovated with nice new chairs that recline. Super comfy. We went during matinee time on weekday, pretty empty which we prefer. Nice sized parking lot.

Went here with family, didn t have a great experience. The servers talked to fast, messed up our orders a few times, and took a while to bring us drinks (after we had already gotten our food). I got a pizza and it was honestly hard to eat; the crust had some taste to it that I really didn t like. Halfway through the movie I decided that I would ve rather gone to a regular theater with better and less-expensive snacks.

Will not be going back! Spent $34 on 2 tickets for inside out 2 then got food it was $92!!! That was cold and fries were not cooked all the way the tea I got tasted sour! It was not a good experience for the food disgusting!! That they charged me twice for and won t return my phone calls to fix THEIR MISTAKE! To pay 2 times for nasty uncooked food WOULD NOT recommend going there unless you want to look back in your bank and have almost $300 gone just to watch a MOVIE!!!!!!! RIDICULOUS

I really like coming here with my Son. We always get so much food...because its delicious. My Son is vegan and even so, they still have so much on the menu that both he and I like to eat. The food is always so fresh. It tastes gourmet. I especially like the guac and the fries. The theater is always so clean. Comfortable seating too.

They have new recliners in the theaters that are even more comfortable than the old ones. You press a button, even during the movie, and a wait person will take your order and bring your food and drinks. I enjoyed the BBQ chicken flatbread and brownie sunday.

I have been coming to SMG The Colony for several years, and I would say was a regular for the past 3 years. In the summer when it is too hot or winter my son and I catch a movie and bite just to spend time together. My last visit was the absolute worst most unprofessional visit and I strongly advise anyone to not visit this theatre. Visit started like any other, arrived 10 minutes early to place order and people watched all the people file in for the movie. As usual my son and I ordered an appetizer and 2 burgers. He and I love burgers, and from Whataburger, to In/Out, to Lazy Dog, and Burger King, that is our thing. Movie started app came out was great. Burger came out, and I took 2 bites and burger was NOT Good. Looked over and my son was also not eating his burger, and I leaned over and asked him if his food was good, and he said NO!. I buzzed the server and informed her burgers were not good and she apologized and asked if there was anything else she could get us. We ordered a pizza to share, and then ordered a desert. Just to quantify, I am 510 185, son is 59 145, and we can eat, but not that much food! After the movie receipt cam out and charged us for both burgers, and pizza, drinks, appetizer, and desert. I asked the server why we were charged for burger and she replied, I put a $5 off coupon in for your next visit. I asked to speak to manager and here is where things went South. First off, manager was very cold and did not seem to want to help. I think his name was Jeff, but he did not introduce himself, I was trying to look at his name tag. I explained to him the situation and his first response was. You both ate almost all your burger. I was like hold on, we both took 1 or 2 bites and that is not Over half. I explained that was not true and we ordered more food after that. His response. It doesnt matter you ate over half your burger. I then explained the burgers were not good, neither my son nor I thought they tasted right. His response, I ate a burger today and it tasted fine. Of course I am getting frustrated now, so I respond, do you taste every burger that comes out of your kitchen to make sure it is good. He then states we gave you a $5 off coupon. So I come back with so we pay for the movie and dining experience and event though our food was not good all we get is a $5 off coupon for our next movie. They does not seem fair. He then looks at me and goes, I am done with you sir, I was very respectful to you, and did not yell at you and you just wont accept my answer. At this point I ask him, we are unhappy with this entire experience b/c of the full charge for all food, and the guy simply just walks off. I then follow up with SMG Corporate, they send an auto reply and I have not received any response since then. Terrible experience. Food will not always be perfect, I get that. Maybe meat was bad, maybe cook got distracted and left it on too long, its fine, it was fixed by getting different food. But dont charge your customers for all the food and accuse them of eating all of the bad food. I will be taking my business elsewhere.

We were excited to give this place a try. My mom and i ordered. Her food was OK. My pizza was nasty, so i sent it back. I ordered a hatch chili chicken pasta, which came out cold. The waiter told me that they had issues with the dish coming out cold. I got the taco salad. It was covered in chili powered. I didnt eat it. The movie was almost over so after it ended i found an employee to ask them to adjust my ticket. The assistant GM helped us. He was very short with us and didnt want to adjust my ticket because i had sent back the first 2 meals because of issues with them. He said he would give us a pass for the next visit. I informed him i would not be returning. He did adjust my ticket to refund the taco salad. But was still very short with us and acted like they were doing me a favor by not charging me for the meals that were not eaten and were messed up. I did reach it to the GM but never received a response.

The seats are DISGUSTING sticky crooked and some are rolling desk chairs the food looks rotten. The lights are to bright the chairs are messed up and put in random places the tables and chairs are sticky and there s residue in the cup holders along the fact that the QR code menus are only on half of the chairs. They don t clean before and after the movies and it is overall the worse theater I ve been to.

The chairs at this location are amazing! They re so comfortable and recline back nicely to make the movie experience even that much better. The manager Christian was greeting people before and after the show which I thought was a nice touch! The food came out warm and was very fast. Our server Bella was so attentive and was very sweet. The location itself was extremely clean and the staff were all engaged and welcoming. We love coming to this location!

Update 2024: The staff, food etc were great but its 2024 and they dont have powered recliners?? They have manual recliners?! This is ridiculous and stupid. We wont be back because of this... 2018: This is by far one of my favorite theaters to go to in the area. The seats are great. The staff is always awesome. The food is usually really good. And its very affordable. Great sound and screens. Its one step down from iPic as far as feeling VIP. Its pretty nice. The prices are really good to considering I get it s almost the same price is just a regular theater. In some cases it s cheaper. The only con with SMG is the incredibly broad inconsistency. It s crazy how different one theater can be from the next. Different seats and setup is the major odd thing. The one in Lewisville still has office chairs for seats. The one in Irving is more like a low in AMC. Is large and seats dont decline. Went to one in Atlanta and you had to recline manually and the entire theater looked different on the inside... Just saying this could be their undoing. Confidence comes from consistency. Users whether it s online or shopping or any type of experience restaurants etc. they want consistency. I know I do. But this one location in the colony is the diamond in the rough. On my thing and I m off my soapbox. I m sick of the year is charging tax and fee to book online. When did this become a thing? So yes the steering it s five stores without a doubt but all theaters are now charging booking fees and tax fees which is just raise the price and keep it simple. I d rather pay $10 instead of $8 and I had to hassle with taxes and sets what happened of the days we just went to the room at $8 dollars or $10 for movie. Almost all Theaters in the area offer reserved seating and even most of them offer some sort of Dine-in menu. But this takes it to another level. I hope you enjoy going to the movies if you do you will enjoy this theater. Back to the specific location though it is awesome. The staff is fast quick and accurate and always friendly. The food is 99% really good. I highly recommend the chicken quesadillas, the flatbreads really good, the coconut chicken tenders are really good, the fish and chips are really good usually. Everything I ve had us is pretty good give or take a few mishaps and things like that much better than any other theater been to you.

My friend and I went to this location to watch Anyone But You. The movie started at 10:15, I believe, and we got there a little late because we didnt want to sit through previews... which we thought was normal. We showed up about 10-15 minutes after the movie time started, and when we walked up to the doors, they were locked and the place looked like a ghost town. There was no one inside, all lights were off. So I questioned if I bought tickets for the wrong day and they were closed. Then we saw two workers in the back on the building sitting at a table staring at us while talking. We started pulling on the doors thinking they might let us in but they just stood there. I checked my ticket and it was for that day. We were very confused as to why the doors were locked for a movie that we payed for. Then we saw a few costumers walking to their theaters so we banged on the door until after being outside in 10 degree weather for 15 minutes, a costumer let us inside. We walked to our theater, and still there was not a worker in sight. Keep in mind, the movie we were seeing was Rated R and most movie theaters are required to check everyones ID that watched a Rated R movie. No one was there to check out tickets or IDs, so quite frankly we didnt even have to buy tickets, because no one checked them. We walked into the theater and the movie had already started, which is reasonable because we were stuck outside for 15 minutes. We sat down in our seats, and pushed the button to order food, and a man came after 10 minutes and said they already did their last call of food. We told him we had been stuck outside and we were not able to order any food, and he said that the movie we were seeing was the last movie of the night, so for security reasons, the front doors lock when the movie starts. I understand that the kitchen is closed, but do you know how easy it is to make popcorn, or at least a drink. I also understand the whole security reasoning as well, but one thing I dont understand is if locking the doors is for security reasons why was there not a single worker in that building. You would think that if you were so concerned for the costumers security, you would have people working ad doing their jobs. Any person could have came in and went into a movie theater, like we did. We sat there and watched the movie, and when we left I thought about finding a worker and asking to talk to a manager about this situation, but when I walked out of the theater, there was in fact, still, nobody there. So I was not able to talk to anyone about this problem. If someone would have came up to the doors that we were waiting at outside for 15 minutes, and told us that we couldnt come in because the doors had already locked, this would be a different situation. Its the fact that we had to find this all out ourselves because there wasnt a worker in sight. When we left the theater, I picked up the general manager, Jessica Rhoads, business card, and called the number on it the next day, multiple times, and I got no answer. I did re read my ticket and it says on there that 15 minutes after the movie starts, the doors lock and you cannot come in, Which I completely understand. But you should at least have a worker around to tell people that when they are at the door. People tend to be late to movies all the time, most people dont like to watch previews, what if someone was stuck in traffic, or had an emergency. Are they just not going to be able to watch their movie, and not going to be able to get a refund. Because everyone knows you cant get a refund to a movie after the movie already started. I will not be returning, unless this gets resolved. Thank you.

I visited for the first time last night. The staff was super friendly, but theater 11 was not good. The seats were worn out and did not recline all the way. The seats were not cleaned thoroughly between shows. The seat next to me had crumbs and the cup holder had hair in it. Disgusting. This picture shows my view. I don t believe anyone sat there. I was super disappointed with the service here today we went so see the new mean girls movie and I had ordered some mozzarella sticks. I have been to this location before and never had a problem with my food coming out late. So I asked a server for the status on my order and a refill she told me the kitchen was backed up but that she would check on it. She came back a few minutes later with my refill and told me it would be out shortly and I still never received it. I also had taken my sister and her teenage friend who had ordered some fries and the movie ended and also didn t receive her fries.

The front staff was friendly. The theater itself is set up differently as only the front four rows of seats recline. Also, the bass from the movie playing in the next room could be heard during our movie. Overall, it was a nice experience. It should indicate if the seats recline or dont. Watching a movie for 2 hours in seats do not reclining is very uncomfortable after awhile. The food was meh. The fries were cold. Most of the food the was either warm or cold. We ate some of it, and had lots of leftovers, which were left. The server did mention the gratuity was 18% and they were all nice and very understanding about the food and even compt, some of it, so that was nice. If they improve the quality and temperature of the food and got all seats reclining and not just the first front rows, they would have steady business. I do like its 15 mins from my house but Ill just stick to the other theater we normally go to, not SMG, unfortunately.

I ll start by saying I come to this location all the time. I complained about the seats a few times. The servers always told me that we have upgrades on the way. I watched Wonka today in Theater 5 and the shock on my face when I walked into the theater and seen the upgrades it was alike I stepped into a new car. Nate and Riley was the icing on the cake with amazing service. Great service, great food, and amazing comfy recliners what more can I ask for. I found out that all the theaters will be upgraded. I can t wait to see the rest.

This studio movie grill is disgusting and the management in charge, General Manager Jeff Caldwell, is horrible. Our order came out wrong not once, not twice, but three times from the waiter Aron putting in the order wrong or forgetting items. When we reported to the manager, Jeff Caldwell, that we were missing an order instead Jeff Caldwell of seeking to understand, he got hostile and walked away from us. We were willing to pay for the food again so that our child could eat, but instead of accommodation we were met with angst, horrible customer service, and belittlement. Never have I ever met a General Manager without etiquette or an ounce of customer service. I whole heartedly do not recommend this location and will be contacting the corporate offices of Studio Movie Grill to inform them of who they have in leadership at this location. We had to call a non emergency officer just to get the situation resolved. As a manager myself I know the importance of not escalating issues and ensuring to hear the customer out before inserting an opinion or excuse. As far as a review of the movie theater itself: The chairs are worn, we attended the first movie of the day and there was food and trash on the floors. The only pleasant experience was the associate Kelvin who let us purchase our tickets. That guy deserves a raise! If you visit this location I hope you do not have to interact with General Manager Jeff Caldwell. He is a manager who refuses to help, accept accountability, offer an apology when something is wrong, or if he does offer an apology he quickly follows it with BUT followed by an excuse to remove blame on his part.

The drinks are light but good. Food is decent. Its an older establishment which shows on the chairs (worn areas on chair upholstery, missing pieces). Chairs DO NOT recline and the rows are very close together. The chair in front can easily hit your table or you as you try to get to your seat. I recommend sitting in the aisle between front and rear of the theater - Row D in theater 8, for example. The service we received was top notch, which is why Im giving 4 stars instead of 3 stars.

SMG used to be a staple for us, but the changes Ive seen on our visit last night made me rethink where we go for movies. The mandatory 18% gratuity for very little service is ridiculous. The service is less than a fast casual restaurant as they only take your order and bring your order. If you wont pay your servers more, then 10% tip plus allow us to tip more for better service. The food is only meh at best. Before you say it expedites your service at the end, thats baloney. You ask for more tip at the end. Its just a way to get people to work for you because you dont pay enough. Also, reclining seats are a standard these days. We dont have to have seats that recline, but yours are tall and rigid. The back is so upright and doesnt move but an inch. My back never hurts, but it was midway through the movie. I know you have seats in the front that recline, but I dont want to sit on the first few rows. We like to be elevated past the row where you walk in. Unfortunately with these changes and so much competition, we wont be back.

We always go to $5 movie night on Tuesday nights, but let me tell you that the seats in this place do not recline, the only ones that do recline barely do it there very ratchety and they only recline if youre sitting in the first like three rows which means you have to stare so close to the screen. All the seats are old and torn and worn out. This is probably one of the worst places to go to the movies considering we have grandscape just a block over in those are all brand new and they all recline.

I feel embarrassed taking my family here! This is my families first time visiting Texas and decided to take them to this theater to go see Barbie. As soon as we sat down and started to recline our seats, the seats didn t even recline all the way and it instantly dropped down lower to the floor. We thought we were going to fall out the chair. I don t understand how this theater let people reserve broken up seats. Not only that, but the arm rest are ripped up. Walked back to the front instantly and requested a refund and clearly saw that this theater needs a renovation because even the paint was peeling off the ceiling. Other than that TWO STARS because the staff and management were nice and handled our refund professionally.

First time at this location. Very nice customer service... we chose the wrong seats for our movie and they simply swapped them for another time. Bar area was clean and bartender very nice. You can order food and eat there or eat in the theater. This place is almost like a dinner theater experience. The menu is extensive and not just movie food. I dont like going to a regular theater anymore, the space the seats give you, the food options etc. Make it a better experience than a regular theater. The only difference is the price, which, in retrospect, could be way worse. Knocking a star off because some of the chairs are broken, the table trays are leaning a tad, and they remove the chicken bites with fries from the menu. Im guessing it was too good of a deal or something. I got chicken tenders tossed in BBQ sauce, but theyre so big you have to cut them in half to dip, and then they fall all over the tray in the dark. Other than that, I love it.

Saw a movie in a standard theatre. Seats did not recline and were shallow without much leg support. At least 6 or more items on the menu were not available. Server was polite, but started by listing all the things they didn t have. Arrived early, ordered cheese fries, took over 30 minutes to arrive, fries were mushy. Theatre speakers kept rattling, like a tray falling, from the movie next door, disrupting scenes in the movie we were viewing. I do not plan on returning to this theatre.

The good; This is a nice clean looking theater with very comfortable seats. It is a favorite of our family and we have came here for years. The okay: Friday night for a family of 6, tickets were reasonable at about $98. The bad: The food. For years we have enjoyed the fact that you can get a pretty decent meal, such a great idea, compared to popcorn. Tonight I came to the realization that the food, while all fancy sounding, is of terrible quality. I ordered burger sliders. Three mini burgers, that sound delicious, the problem is, when i bit into the first one, the patty was freezer cold. Not room temperature, but actually cold as if they pulled it from the fridge, popped it on the bun, and forgot to microwave it. Okay, everyone makes mistakes. I called for the server, explained the situation and the server was very polite and apologetic. He then took away my order and promised a redo. Round two, they brought me my order and this time it was even colder. They had put cheese on the burger patty but it was so cold, instead of melting the cheese, it made it harder. I called the server. Explained the situation, again the server was nice and apologetic. They offered a redo but honestly at this point, I was pretty grossed out and thinking about how much bacteria and such I had had just put in my mouth. In all fairness the manager did come and apologized, and they did offer me anything on the menu no charge, but I have to be honest, I dont trust them and did not want to get sick. Now mind you, there were 6 of us in all, and the other 5 enjoyed their meal. But, okay, I just spent $98 on tickets and $139 on 5 meals and to top it all, when they brought the ticket, they even included the bill for the 2 people next to us, so again, call the server, explain the situation get our neighbors charges off our bill.... So, 3 stars because the theater is nice and comfortable, but they really need to get their act together with the kitchen or they are going to make someone really sick. Ill still take the family back, but I think food and drinks are best had elsewhere.

Just came here to see spiderverse and I realized why I havent been to this theater in years. They are expensive first of all. The seat I sat in barely moved back at all & unless you forcibly hold it back, it pushes you back forward. The food tray was so cumbersome & squished into the seat thats already pushing you forward. Its like sitting in economy on an airplane but you cant even recline. Not sure if all screens here are like this setup but I wont take a chance of being that uncomfortable ever again. There was also a massive leak coming from the ceiling I slipped on with no employee in sight & no wet floor sign

Dining at a movie theater has always been a hit-or-miss adventure. And Studio Movie Grill has always over-valued their food. But on Sunday, they badly missed the mark. I ordered the Strawberry Avocado salad. I had just seen an image on the screen which had 5-7 chicken slices and an equal number of avocado. I received a bowl that was filled with chopped iceberg lettuce and I found ONE (1) slice of chicken and TWO (2) slices of avocado. Very disappointing but not a surprise at SMG. I notified the waiter and asked that I not be charged for the dish. At least they did not give me any grief and they did not charge me $14 for one (1) slice of chicken in a bowl of iceberg lettuce. Sigh... Ps. Loved Guardians of the Galaxy 3. Too bad the Guardians cant defend us from over-priced movie theater food.

All chairs do not recline, and the ones that don t recline are absolutely terrible. They let us move so we were good, but I highly recommend choosing your seat carefully when you purchase online. The food here is so good, and the service saved the whole trip. Shareable $30 deal is amazing (get a starter and two entrees), plus you can add a dessert for $5. The pretzel bites were amazing, kiddo loved. The chicken tenders - so good and actually tender, perfectly cooked seasoned fries. The marg flatbread is also good. The beignets were the best, so pillowy and even a little flaky, with a lovely chocolate sauce. Two yummy meals, an app, and dessert for $35 - unheard of deal these days. Top rows of seats are really warm, it s summer and hard to cool the theater. So I recommend sitting lower in warmer months. Staff members were all super friendly and helpful!
