This is either a very overworked or a very lazy firm. They made me wait for over 15 days to tell me they couldn t help me on a time-sensitive form. I never spoke to the lawyer, the paralegal sent me a letter to tell me they couldn t help me. Wasted my time when they could have told me from the beginning they couldn t take my case. This was for the lawyer for veterans too.

Terrible experience, they get founds to help, not to affect and lie, they cancel cases to have less work!!! After Domestic Violence suffered, I gave all documentation complete for a process and waited 2 years with no results. The first year was lost because Texas Civil Rights got together with TRLA so all legal assesment was shut down. 2nd year tbey asked me for things I already provided. MY mistake believing they help, but instead, they affected me, they return my file with missing docs and all mixed up!! Now my time is gone and late!!!! Never answered calls & voice mails full not clean.

After almost a year and multiple phone calls without getting an answer, I received a letter that informed me that due to the fact that I was moving out of state my divorce case was cancelled. It was cancelled because in one of the calls I placed to the local attorney in charged of my case, I mentioned that I need this issue to be solved as soon as possible . I could not leave my current household because I have a lease and I could not break it unless we were divorced . I do not feel safe here so I provided my sisters address who lives out of state in case they needed it. Now I am living in a daily, 24 hours mental and emotional abusive relationship. I cant afford a lawyer. I received many eviction notices. My husband does not pay rent, utilities, car payments or anything. I am another victim of domestic violence .

If youre a US Veteran do not expect to get any assistance from the attorney assigned to Veterans (former US Army himself). He looks for reasons NOT to help. He says he will contact you and never does. He is useless, unprofessional and ineffective.

Takes an extremely long time to get the basic Identification Records .Mrs Diaz was not professional and sometimes rude only assume because I was homeless at the time even now TWO MONTHS later they have not provided the records I need to move forward in life

I reached out to this company for help with landlord-tenant advice regarding security deposits and they helped me out tremendously! After a few days of going back and forth discussing the issue, they sent me a letter with all the information I needed to plead my case and even gave me a chance to speak directly with a law team to clarify my issues. Understand that they do not have a large team but handle ALOT OF CASES so it may take a little bit of time and elbow grease to get through to the right channels but once you do, trust me it is worth it considering the advice and information they provide is 100% FREE! Yeah if I could give 0 Stars I would have been trying to reach this company for the last 2 weeks I do not live in El Paso and I needed somebody to represent me in El paso. Nancy gallego gave me a referral and i asked for a few and she completely didnt help me, I guess she didnt want to deal with me because dont live there. So to make this short this place is trash and this is how they treat veterans.

I had an appointment with the social worker. When I came into the building, the receptionist told me that Ms. Diaz had told her that I was supposed to just drop something off and go. That was not the purpose of my arrival and I wanted to make a few suggestions to her on how to handle cases, especially when a person comes in exhausted. I called headquarters in San Antonio several times and the one time my call went through that receptionist picked up, sounded very annoyed from her tone and hung up while I spoke. I had already checked to make sure she heard me before she hung up. If youre going to hire people, make sure theyre serious about their job. How they handle it affects our cases. And please bring in another social worker to El Paso, some one who is logical and shows that she can communicate effectively pointedly to us, goes over acronyms that SHE IS SCRIBBLING when assisting with letters; who can actually LISTEN and not just put anything down when writing. The only good experience was that the front desk was resourceful.

My husband and I went in to speak to them about a debt issue. They were very helpful and guided us as to what we needed to do. You have to remember these guys volunteer their time. So their busy. Be prepared and take notes. With advice we received we represented our selves in small claims court and were successful. Thank you !!

Ive been researching small estate online. I called and asked for there opinion on the form to be used. They wrote me a letter and told me to use the form that included real estate. The deceased had no real estate, only personal property and a couple thousand in the bank. Im back to square one. F****n Idiots!

I contacted this place for its free legal assistance and I would expect a large call volume but I called for an hour straight during a time that should not be that busy and all I got was voicemail. I went to the office to see if they could help and the only advice they had was to keep calling. I understand this is free but it feels like they cover such a large area and only have a limited staff that is unable to cover the call volume.

I called yesterday to scheduale an appointment because I have a dead line of 30 days for a new trial (to me those are time restraints!) I was told that I could by pass the application process and just come in. I was told I can come in Tuesday and the attorney I spoke with today said this is not a time sensitive issue sense i have no new court, I let him be aware that I have 30 day limit and my appointment date was on the deadline! He said, take it or leave it! I am being told different things from the lady I spoke with yesterday and the people I spoke with today. I told them, you people are treating me with a bias attitude. I showed them the paper where it says I have 30 days, they didnt care. :( I was told I could by pass the application process because this is a time sensitive issue. I asked to speak with a supervisor and they said non where in. I feel that they turned bias as soon as they read my paper work and discovered who was the opposing attorney. Under Texas Rules of Civil Procedure 329b (a) TIME FOR FILING MOTIONS A MOTION FOR NEW TRIAL, IF FILED, SHALL BE FILED PRIOR TO OR WITHIN THIRTY DAYS AFTER THE JUDGEMENT OR OTHER ORDER COMPLAINED OF IS SIGNED. HOW COULD THAT ATTORNEY TELL ME OTHER WISE WITHOUT AN EXPLANATION? PREJUDICE? to me he did not conduct himself in a resonable or professional manner
