Terror isle is so fun! We came with a group and my voice was hoarse from screaming so much! The owner does such a good job - the location even has an eerie story and the owner is so passionate about what he does! Its definitely a fun immersive experience! Check it out!

My wife and I and some friends went to their haunted house this year- it was amazing. You can tell they put a LOT of effort into their sets and atmosphere design, and the actors made you feel like you were really in a haunted-pirate-vampire-island. We ll be sure to check out their escape rooms and will DEFINITELY be back next year for the haunted house. Really great stuff

When we visited Houston in July, Terror Isle was one of the locations that we received a recommendation for and I m so glad we were able to play! My husband and I are now at around 317 rooms played. I am always hesitant going to haunter locations as they have a much different fear scale than I do. For anyone who hates jump scares as much as I do, please don t be deterred; we had a blast in Mystic Voyage and will definitely be back if we are in the area again. The sets are absolutely beautiful and the puzzles were unique and moved very smoothly with the story line. On top of that, the staff was insanely friendly. Dalton checked us in and Jamie was our game master. Both helped to make it such a fun and entertaining experience! It s very clear that the staff enjoys what they do and are excited to show off their rooms. Few things can beat a company with employees who care the way Dalton and Jamie did.

Ive been to escape rooms across the country since the late 90s when they first started. I can say this is the best designed, and most immersive one Ive ever been to. Disney quality decor, theme, and artistic excellence here. You wouldnt know it from the outside of the building but once inside and in the first of 3 escape experiences youll be blown away! It was just the 2 of us for my girlfriends birthday, and her first ever escape room, and we managed to find our way out in under the 1 hour time limit with only 3 clues from the host. I wont give away anything, but its multiple areas after the main area, not just a single room. Really really well done! My hats off to the designers of this place. We cant wait to go back and do part 2 and part 3! I HIGHY recommend!!

The level of detail at this place is amazing. It really was like walking around on a movie set or Disney ride. Not only that, but the owner and employees are top notch. Ive been to about 20 rooms, and the room host stayed in character the whole time which made it even more fun. The owner made sure I could use vouchers I paid for in January. They get an A+ in customer service in my book. All the equipment worked well and the puzzles were challenging but not crazy hard. I enjoyed all the teamwork involved. It didnt hurt getting out with 15 min to spare with four people. What an ego boost. We loved the experience and cant wait to go to back for the third room.

We took a weekend trip to Kemah & Galveston and wanted to try an escape room. Galveston wouldnt answer their phone so we found this place thats 1/2 way between Galveston & Kemah and IT DID NOT DISAPOINT. This place is FANTASTIC! The rooms were movie quality sets and the staff was awesome! Their personalities made the game all the more fun! The rooms were hard but not impossible. It was a ton of fun for everyone from 13-45!

We had such a great time! We came in with a group of 15 and split up, did 2 rooms each and raced and had an absolute blast! Less than 30 minutes from Galveston Island so if you are visiting and need something to do on a rainy day, THIS IS IT!!! The crew made the game so much fun by staying in character and playing right along with our groups antics. The puzzles were difficult but fun! We will all be coming back to do that 3rd room!

We played their Mystic Voyage escape room and what a gem it is! I found the sets very immersive and fun to be in. The puzzles were cleanly designed and the quality of this game is on par with those I have seen in much larger markets. The Terror Isle Mystic Voyage escape room adventure was so much fun!! The props were well done! The lighting, relics, and clues, all made for an immersive experience that had my family on their toes guessing and solving puzzles in excitement of what was coming next! My husband and I brought our daughters, ages 11, 12, and 13, who have all done a couple of escape rooms. It was not too scary, the story was compelling and without giving away too much, they have a way with words that will blow you away with the outcome!! If you are on the fence, you should definitely go, you won t be disappointed, we already have tickets (at a discount) for the second leg of the adventure!!!

This place is hands down one of the best escape rooms I ve been to. I have been to multiple all over the US. It will not disappoint. The rooms flow very nicely if you would like to do them in order all at one time. It really is the Disney of escape rooms with how detailed each room is. If you ve never experienced an escape room, this will definitely set the bar high for you. The closest one that I have found to be comparable is in Baton Rouge or in TN. Highly recommend and I cannot wait to see what else they can do.

What I look for in booking escape room games is the theme and special effects/decor of the room. I want to feel like I am literally in a different world and boy did this one deliver! I took my son and 2 more 12 year old boys. We really enjoyed the Nefarious Offering game but it was very challenging. We went in hoping not to have to use too many clues but would not have made it out of the first challenge without them. We should have started with an easier game but with unlimited clues we were able to complete the escape. FIVE stars on the life like special effects. You can really see the unbelievable amount of work that was put into this in efforts to give a FULL lifelike experience. Kudos Terror Isle!

Just awesome. 4 of us played the Dungeon of the Drowned room and it was incredibly immersive and super fun! I d consider myself somewhat of an escape room enthusiast (have probably played upwards of 30 rooms) and have to say that this was one of the best experiences I ve had! The puzzles are just challenging enough to make you think, without feeling like you re at a loss of what to do. I d say 4-5 people is a good size group, but you could probably complete it with just 2 if you ask for enough hints. I m disappointed I don t live in the area, otherwise I d definitely come back to try the other 2 as well! 10/10 would recommend this place.

First off let me say that I have done several escape rooms and I ve come to realize that some of them are exceptional and some of them are exceptionally plain/boring. This escape room (Mystic Voyage) was one of the best I ve done because it had an immersive feel due to an extremely well decorated group of rooms and the puzzles actually followed a storyline rather than just being a bunch of random puzzles thrown together like so many escape rooms do. If you re someone familiar with the escape room scene you probably know that 13th Gate has a really good reputation for their immersive rooms and this facility gives them a run for their money which is saying a lot. Whether this is your first escape room or you ve done many others I d be shocked if you were disappointed here. Also, the staff was quite pleasant to deal with. I was having issues with the website (they re still quite new so having technical issues is something I can understand) so I reached out via Facebook messenger and the owner was quick to answer my questions and even just chatted for a while. The host/game master Jamie was a pleasure as well.

Definitely recommend the escape rooms here. Our party of 4 had an absolute blast. In fact, we ended up doing 2 rooms that day because it was so much fun. The employees are super cool and made the experience even better than what we expected. Both inside and outside the rooms have very intricate decoration and props, which is what we loved. The fact that everything in the building is detailed just shows how much they put into their rooms and experience. We highly recommend again. Absolutely loved our experience. Their superb set design was evident the moment we entered the building. All their rooms looked incredible and had great ambiance. In addition, the game-masters are passionate about their job, which adds to the experience. A group of four of us did their three rooms back-to-back in the recommended order, which worked out well for the story-line and the increasing difficulty. All of us had a great time, and hope to return when more rooms open.

Our group, who are fairly experienced Escape Gamers, came to try these. We played Dungeon of the Drowned. The room design, story line, etc. we re all exceptional! Each area was intricately created to feel true to the story line. Our 1 complaint was that some of the puzzles did not work (ie part didn t appear when needed) and were based solely on chance when the solution was discovered. If they would get that part down, this would be the best Escape Room that we ve played across several states! Overall, it was absolutely great and we will definitely be back!

So the props and atmosphere are really cool but I wasnt a big fan of the actors. They were a bit condescending and actually touched me a few times (your not supposed to touch them and they arent supposed to touch you.) The tarot card lady was very nice but the readings were very general compared to the others Ive had in the past. Its also quite a bit of a drive from central Houston.

Genuinely, this was my favorite haunted house Ive experienced in a long time. I used to work at a year round haunted house as the main actor and I can seriously tell the passion these actors put into their performance. The makeup and costuming is superb with something completely different around every corner. The scenery was also incredible; I forgot we were inside at one point. Granted, the story was a little hard to follow, but that may have been from my friend crying her eyes out the entire time and us having to slow down. If you have the chance to go to the haunted house I would highly recommend it! I know Ive already made plans to come back when the escape rooms start.

A friend was visiting out of town and picked Terror Isle off of google as something to go do. The staff were very friendly and helpful telling us the rules and about the business. We did the Dungeon of the Drowned first and had a great time playing through, only needing a few hints. After finishing, Jamie (our game master) told us that we could buy discounted tickets to play a different room. We signed up on the spot to do the Nefarious Offering room about an hour later and also had a blast. Both rooms were themed and decorated well. A good amount of the puzzles and components were unique and we had never seen before in other escape rooms. We look forward to coming back for the 3rd room and also the haunted house!

What an excellent escape room experience! The puzzles are so well thought out, not a single one felt silly or lame. It was unlike any other escape room youve been to, with a neat integration of tech to some of the challenges, which made the puzzles interactive in a totally unique way. Connor, our guide, was energetic and exciting, and got us pumped up for the challenge ahead, but didnt intervene unless we asked him for a hint or he could tell we were stuck on something. None of this you get 3 hints and youre screwed after that business, they want you to be challenged, but to finish the escape room instead of leaving feeling frustrated. The owner, Craig, is a great guy, and you can tell hes put a lot of time and energy into making a quality experience. They transition to a haunted house in October, and that actually works to their advantage with the escape rooms; its not just one room, youll go through several that are all connected into one big challenge. Went here as part of a team building for work - 13 of us. They split us into two different groups and had each group in a separate escape.room adventure. The games were great fun and the owner and staff go above and beyond to make your experience enjoyable. Yes we escaped but with only 30 seconds to spare. Plan to do a family trip next and try one of the other rooms.

INCREDIBLE! Me and my girlfriend travel and do many escape rooms. This is by far one of the best we ve ever done. The thing that sets this place apart from others is how cohesive their rooms are and tell a fully immersive story. They make you want to do them all! Which we did. And in no point was there anything that seem like it didn t belong or was there just to add puzzles. Everything was well thought out and meticulously placed and had a significant purpose. The design was movie set quality and the game masters gave great energy and made the game even better. I HIGHLY recommend to those new to escape games and enthusiasts alike. They are also a haunted house during spooky season so I can t wait to see what their haunt is like when it s time!

Went for the escape room today. The decorations were amazing to look at and the theme was phenomenal and fun. But thats not what I was most impressed with. I am in a wheelchair. The entire thing was fairly accessible (esp. the bathroom). But what took me by surprise was after the escape room was over one of the staff did something that no one at any establishment has ever done before. He came to me and asked me if everything was accessible for me. I held back my emotions but I have never had someone ask me about accessibility before. I gave a pointer to making things easier on chair bound individuals. He said he wants to make it inclusive for everyone. I have never ever ever had anyone have so much care for people with disabilities before. If I could give 6 stars for exceeding expectations even after reading these reviews I would. Please come here.

Had a freegin BLAST with friends working our way out of one of the most beautifully themed escape rooms I have ever experienced. Please visit Terror Isle in Texas City and see for yourself how this wonderfully created Craig Watt vision can transport you into another realm so convincingly!! It all starts the second you walk through the front doors and into a lobby that looks like it was designed by Disney Imagineers themselves. Book...it...now. Thank...me...later.

Best escape room I ve been to hands down. Me and a few of my close family members have been to numerous escape rooms around Galveston county and this is easily the best one. Our host was very friendly and you can see that they put so much time and effort into these rooms. The storylines were interesting and the decor and just overall appearance was great. Hats off to these guys for doing such a good job. If you plan on going to an escape room anytime soon, do yourself a favor and head down to Terror Isle so you can experience it for yourself. We will definitely be back.

It s hard to find a local escape room that is high quality, and Terror Isle delivers. We have done over 50 escape rooms and this ranks in the top 10% easily. Connor was a great game master and made our game very enjoyable. The immersion was outstanding, there s not much in Houston that can compete. Dalton and Jaime were both awesome. I am sure bored them with our non-stop escape room addiction conversation! Lol. We will be back to do other escape rooms at this location. Great job with creating an immersive and challenging escape room.

We were able to participate in the escape room at Terror Isle as a preview and I cannot say enough good things about how much fun we had! We had 3 adults, a teenager, and 2 children (7 & 9), and there was something for everyone. The story line of the escape room was fun and exciting, the atmosphere was so immersive and you really felt like you were on the pirate ship. The detail in every corner was incredible! We will definitely go back when they open additional spaces! The puzzles provided enough challenge without being too challenging and the host was thoughtful in the clues provided and it helped us when we needed it most! We all found ourselves reminiscing the following day about how much fun we had, so I think it s safe to say it was a success!

Absolutely love this attraction! It s got a personalized feeling to ensure suspense. Although other people went with me it felt like I was walking alone. The time and effort they put into their costumes and displays is above and beyond other haunted houses. Can t wait to see the escape rooms!!

Honestly, the props and rooms are good quality. But I m highly disappointed. There was absolutely nothing scary about it. Only ONE person jumped out. The 6 other actors were free standing just following you or staring at you. Definitely not worth it. I hate to be the negative person but when spending my money I expect it to be worth it. I m still sitting here thinking did I really just spend $58 for that. (The reviews have to be from the employees) sorry but not sorry

I m a very avid haunted house enthusiast and have been to several. I decided to try this new haunted house out and it was pretty good. I got there when no one was there so no line or wait or anything. I just showed them my online ticket and instantly walked in. The first room is an animatronic pirate that gives a little speech before you go in and I liked that part a lot. All the actors were about an 8/10. All they d need to do is involve themselves a little bit more but I can understand it gets hard after having several groups throughout the night. They had very good props and scenery inside as well. They use a lot of fog machines that spray eye level so I can see that potentially being an issue especially when it sprays out the fogging liquid first before the actual fog and get you a little wet. At the end they have a little gift shop and nice picture spot. The whole house took about 10 minutes to walk through and that s with walking very slow and taking my time. They are in a small building so it s understandable but if it was about 5 minutes longer then I d say it s worth the 5 star rating. They are by far the cheapest haunt around so you get what you pay for and it was worth every penny. Lastly there s nothing to do after you finish so you just have to pretty much leave. If I was less than 30 minutes away then I d be very happy but unfortunately it was over a 45 minute drive for me. Overall I d highly recommend for locals but if you aren t close then have something planned for afterwards so you don t feel like you drove so far just for a 10 minute haunt.

Yikes! This place was incredible! No lines. You can buy tickets for certain times! Very well done. Includes scary actors, animated, and talking figures. The sea out the window was awesome. Atmosphere was creepy/spooky. I screamed pretty much the whole way. They also have a picture booth at the end which makes a fun way to end your visit. Can t wait to visit the Escape Rooms they have after Halloween. Just go!

This new haunt pays a spectacular amount of attention to detail. With state of the art lighting and effects, it wont be long before Terror Isle is famous. From makeup and costuming to set pieces straight out of a Hollywood film, its worth it just to see all the cool stuff. SO many details hidden inside. Totally recommend for all the reasons mentioned, but also, its a high-quality, scary haunt. Not for the faint of heart. Cant wait to see what they do next.
