Ive been going to this bait store for years. Im my opinion, its better then the place across the street. They have everything you need to go fishing on the dike. I really like ALL of the people that work here as well.

These people are so rude, never going back again! I know they dont care about customers or sales (Maybe they should go ahead and close this store since they dont want people there) The lady behind the register made it very clear, so I am just going to leave this right here! Note to the lady: YOUR RESTOOM OUT OF ORDER SIGN IS A LIE that sign stays there permanently. As per Texas Health and Safety Code - HEALTH & SAFETY § 341.069. Access to Restroom Facilities: (e) An employee of a retail establishment who refuses to provide a customer with access to an employee toilet facility as required by this section commits an offense. An offense under this section is a misdemeanor punishable by a fine.

Decided to give this shop a chance but employee was extremely rude and started cursing out all patrons when they wanted a refund due to be tricked that they had live finger sized mullet when he tried giving larger 12inch sized fish. He did not refund anybody and told multiple patrons to never come back and you can t choose what you buy? Which makes zero sense. Will stick to my regular bait store.

Called and asked they had shrimp and they did since no one on Galveston Island had any. I know it s July and the shrimp are always on the smaller size but if that s what s out there than fishing are eating no doubt. Got 3 quarts and was happy it s a mix batch!

Very convenient to TX City boat ramp. I thought the shrimp price was a bit high. Too many small shrimp. They didnt have enough meat to stay on hook. The big shrimp worked well but not enough of them.

These guys are terribly rude, and honestly this is the worst bait shop Ive ever been to in my life. They wouldnt sell me the normal sized shrimp because Those are for our morning rush. Ive never heard of such B.S. in my life! The ones they sold me should be illegal to even capture from the wild - they were all babies that wouldnt even fit on a baby treble hook! When I asked for a refund (after I realized they gave me shrimp that wont even fit on a hook), they wouldnt give me my money back saying all sales are final. Honestly I think theyre just bullies that were trying to take advantage of me due to the fact that I have one hand. Do not give these guys your business! Go to somewhere else - theres tons of other places in the area...

First off: do yourself a favor: don t think about going to this place; especially if you re a minority! Before my husband and I entered the facility, we already anticipated spending a good grip there. After my husband and I were done picking out 2 fishing rods and live bate... The toothless lady who works there: unexpectedly: yelled at us to leave. The only other customer who walked in after us (were white), weren t told to leave, and even defended us by letting the toothless lady know we had gotten there before them. We put everything back in it s place and left in disbelief.

Terrible place. Never go there. Mr. Lee (the owner) told my father to get the (blank) out of his parking lot because he was blocking the bait truck from getting out. Note the truck looked like it was just a parked customer truck. The only nice person that works there is the young man. The old lady that works there periodically yells at customers in the shop especially with the covid pandemic going on. Go to Boyds across the street. Better service, wider selection, and overall better in general. Avoid lees place at all cost.

I have been there 2 different times. I bought a pound of shrimp and forgot to ask for ice before he put a tie on it. He seemed upset that he had to open it back up to put ice in it. Next time I ask the lady for a little ice, her response was I have not even picked up a bag yet. Maybe they have bad days, dont really care. Go across the street to Boyds, better service, live and dead selection, price, tackle..

Went to get bait yesterday and asked the older lady if they had live shad. Her response I don t know because I m not out there . Good people , they always have live bait good sized , shrimp ,croakers and live mullets , good service usually less crowded than the other side of the road , I feel more comfortable getting my live bait from them , they also carry fishing tackle, drinks ,quick snacks , napkins wipes and DEET
