Our server was courteous and very prompt with our drinks and food, he was a definite 5/5. The food quality overall: bland, terrible quality, and unfortunately looked way better than it tasted. Even had to send the crab artichoke dip back bc it tasted a couple days old. Don t recommend eating anything here and we won t be returning.

I had a 68 dollar lunch today which sounds great- steak with lobster sauce and 2 pieces of shrimp on top. The meal so was salty I could barely eat it . I had my husband try it when I got home and he said the same thing, so we threw the rest out. What a waste of money. The waitress told the chef I thought it was way too salty and they didnt do anything to compensate for this expensive meal. Sorry Cedar and Vine, we will NOT be returning!

Overall solid, came here for a networking event through the East Dallas Chamber. Solid food, great service, good atmosphere. Well worth visiting if you have the chance. Their happy hour is 5/5. Will need to come again with the wifey and see what through final verdict is. 4/5 on the food because it was the happy hour food. Ill update once I have a chance to sample the full menu.

Dined with friends this evening. Good wine list, great beers on tap and a yummy mocktail without a side eye. The service was attentive. Our server answered questions about wines, beers and menu specialities with a smile and refreshed, served and replenished without interrupting any of our conversation! The Parmesan crusted chicken with arugula was delicious as was the salmon (cooked to a perfect medium) and broccolini with farro. We had the soup special, creamy mushroom, which was rich but not too creamy and beautifully seasoned. The sides we shared were the Mac n Cheese (hot and cheesy) and the truffle fries which were thin, salty and fried to perfection. They were served with a horseradish dipping sauce. It was a great meal in a beautiful location for a good price. Seriously. Where can you find a dining experience like that in 2024? We will definitely be back soon!

Have come here a couple of times a year since they opened and can honestly say they have stepped it up in the food department. Brussel sprouts have always been great but as a vegetarian I love the addition of portobello mushroom steak and burger to the menu. Husband gave his burger an 8 out of 10 which is saying something. I ve been a customer for about 3 years now, mainly because it s a central place for my friends and I to meet. My friends and I only go for the wine on tap and a couple of the appetizers. I have tried about 8 different entrees over the years and a salad is the best option and it was still underwhelming. The food is sub-par, but the drinks are good. I can only recommend this place for wine on tap, service, and the atmosphere. They really have had a great staff over the years. If any reviewers rave about the food, I would love to see what they think is the best restaurant in Dallas because I doubt it s a good one

My wife and I went for dinner. It is a mediocre restaurant with 75% full of families with small kids. The service was good. The cocktails we ordered were good. The only meat on the menu was chicken. I ordered a Chicken Fried Stake. The piece of grilled chicken I got was only 2 oz. As the protein was inadequate I ordered Chicken Parmesan and got 4 oz of fried checked. My wife had shrimp and she was satisfied. Not a good experience. Vegetarian options: Vegan steak was available Parking: No problem Wheelchair accessibility: Yes it was available.

Hard to review this one because we want locally owned restaurants to thrive, but... Three of us had steak, one chicken fried steak and all of us were disappointed. They need to buy better quality meat or cook it better to make it the top entree. Cf steak was soggy, and mashed potatoes were not hot. Too much pesto on the steak but easy to take some off. Might be better to put it on the side. Everyone loved the fries. Maybe other items on the menu are better? Hope this helps change this place for the better.

As a Lake Highlands resident I couldn t be more grateful to have C&V in the neighborhood! The food is great, atmosphere is fun, and the service is the best! Also, Ryan makes a delicious cocktail and is so fun!! My go to cocktails are Cucumber Gimlet, French 75, or Bees Knees. My favorite foods are the Chopped Thai Salad, BLTAE, Chicken Caprese, and Salmon Tacos. For apps I recommend the Brussels for sure, the fondue, and the shrimp are also great! We waited 30 minutes before we got our drinks. Half of our drinks came out and then the other half came out 10 mins later. Same way with the food. Food was pretty good but it did sit under the warming lamp for about 20 minutes. The service ruined my $22 meal. We did almost walk out but stayed to torture ourselves. Probably the worst food we ve ever ordered at a restaurant. We started with the Crispy Zucchini appetizer which was terrible incredibly greasy, essentially super slim strips of zucchini with thick batter. We sent it back but had concerns after that. I ordered the Brick Chicken and my daughter ordered the Steak Sandwich. Both were horrible and inedible. The chicken and whatever liquid it was sitting in was flavorless, the potatoes had zero seasoning and the spinach was just a wilted mess sitting the bowl. I couldn t and didn t eat it. I boxed it up in the hopes that I could salvage it at home the next day. The steak on the sandwich was low quality, bland and dry. My daughter took one bite and didn t finish it. So unfortunate because the restaurant and branding are lovely. Service was decent; however, our waiter knew we didn t enjoy the food and didn t offer to comp it. He did take the zucchini off since we sent it back before our meals came. Complete waste of $50. We won t be going back and definitely don t recommend.

I went at 5:20 on a Wednesday for quick Happy Hour with my husband and 4 year old. There were only 2 tables with patrons, empty bar, empty outside. We were told that we were not able to dine there because we didnt have a reservation and they had a bunch (where??). Why have a happy hour if you cant stop by? I couldnt help but feel like we were being lied to because we had a kid (who is very well behaved by the way). I love the look of this restaurant. It is really modern and clean. The outdoor seating can use a re-design and more color on the inside but otherwise this is a really good looking place. The food is delicious and the service is really good. The chicken and waffles dish had chicken that was over cooked but the waffles were really light and tasty. This place is an easy recommendation.

The food is beautiful . and that s where the buck stops. If your interested in drinks great! Food? .ehhh? You get the impression of how much they brag about their food that their prices for it therefore makes sense and the dishes design fits. Then you taste it and realize dam! I ve had microwave frozen foods better than this . I don t blame the staff their very nice and professional (they hyper-inflate their menu a bit but can you blame them) but for sake of saving your money either just go for drinks or eat elsewhere unless you love bland flavor.

Had a great time last night, did the paint and sip with friends. The deviled eggs were great and the drink was fantastic. I ordered the steak stripes with sweet potatoes fries. Steak was not so good not much flavor other then the char. Sweet potatoes were good. For $29 00 it could have been way better! Very small portion for the money!!

First time visiting this cute little spot. We went on a Thursday around 1pm so it was not packed, no wait all. Once seated the server (also the barrender) walked right off. No menu reference, no specials. Nothing! I was immediately worried. When she came back with water I guess she noticed we clearly looked like deers in headlights. She then pointed out a little QR card and says the menu is there. We were at a long high top table. Could seat maybe 10-12....there were only 2 of us. No way would have noticed a 2 inch card 8 chairs down. We ordered 2 Blackberry Mimosas to start. Thank goodness they were AMAZING!! Fresh Blackberry Puree topped with Champagne so good. To eat, we both ordered the special that came with 2 crab cakes, salad, and fries. Server didnt deliver our food which is totally fine, but she never once checked us. I actually had to get up and ask for my salad dressing. That aside....this was one of the freshest tasting meals Ive had in a long time. The salad greens were so fresh and crisp. So good. The crab cakes? Hands down some of the BEST I have ever eaten. The were full of huge chucnks of crab meat. Flavored and fried perfectly. Absolutely made up for the lack of interaction from the server. We will for sure be back again and again. The crab cakes were amazing. I cant wait to go back again.

This place is vary unique. All the food is delicious. I always order whats up on the board. It is random every day. Overall people are nice to talk to. They wont be distracted by you and will always be doing there job.

Had a fantastic round of cocktails with a girlfriend. Staff was attentive and polite, the atmosphere is nice but laid back, and the drinks were great. I didnt have time to enjoy any of the food but my friend did get something to go which she enjoyed and the food I did see come out to floor looked appetizing. I look forward to returning when Im hungry.

Really love the French dip sandwich and salad. The covered patio area can be a great place for a chill lunch. Sadly we couldnt get a seat. Admittedly we were being spontaneous and in our way to Shadys and a little casually dressed. But there were empty tables and booths so we thought wed try. After standing for a while waiting on someone to show up, a women asked if we had reservations. No we didnt. She said she couldnt seat us because several large parties were expected. It was almost 7:30. So empty seats all over the place, at the bar, in several booths where its hard to seat large parties. Really? 2 people couldnt sit at the bar? Wanted to support a local restaurant but will not be back.

This was a very cute and lively place to relax and enjoy some delicious crafted cocktails! We also had the steak and salmon dip. The steak was cooked perfectly and had excellent flavor. However the chimichurri dip could have been a little less oily. It took a little longer to get served due to there only being one waitress serving the entire place during happy hour, but she did her best! Overall, I will be back for more and maybe brunch next time!
