Rooms where nice but housekeepers need way more training in cleaning as I am a professional house cleaner self employed over 20 yrs I know how to clean and sanitize It was dusty floor was not clean Bedspread had many cigarette burn holes in it pillows suck they are small and very generic and for 200.00 a night you should expect A+++ when walking down the hall ways it was strong smell of marijuana as soon as you walk through the door of the hotel also the beds were not very comfortable very very firm I give this hotel a a one star because of this.... This place needs to be condemned. In my unit, the microwave severely burned my food even though i set the timer much lower than usual for the food I was cooking. The food almost caught on fire and the room was filled with smoke. But the smoke alarm didnt go off. Why? Because it had no power as you can see in the photo. Im pretty sure thats a major fire hazard. If that wasnt enough, the room reeked of roaches, and during the day it smelled like a dead rat. Two of the 5 lights in the room didnt work, including the main light. There were dark stains on the linnens and mold all over the bathroom ceiling. There were also no covers on the mattresses to prevent bed bugs. Ive been traveling for work for 5 years, and I stay in a hotel almost every weekend. Ive seen some rough ones, but this is by far the worst. Never again. Oh, and they didnt refund a penny.

This place has a 100 deposit on it plus room fee. Do not book if ya don t have the money. The 3 party website won t tell you this. It s not a quality place so I m not sure why the requirements are so high. Only attempted because all other hotels were sold out in this area. The other better hotels don t require deposit. Smh

0/5 would not be recommended! Beds are over 15 years old. Sagging in the middle and terribly uncomfortable. Rooms are subpar at best. Horrid smelling bedding. Stained or burn holes in everything, blankets, pillows, sheets, floor, sink, toilet... everything. I can promise you the bedding has not been changed since the last guest. Towels looked as they had not been washed. And you would get wetter from a water hose than you would the shower. Good location, simi-rude desk clerk. Spend your money somewhere else. No where near worth 93.72.

SWEATING after the air conditioner failed. The night manager said Id have to WAIT until 7 AM for a remedy. I already SWEATED all day and have a HEADACHE. What ever happened to good customer service. Otherwise, the room is clean and cozy. There is a horrible ganja smell near my room. The pool is nasty, muddy, and drained.

Started with $65.00 a room for 2. Breakfast is Blueberry Waffles and toast. . Each time I reserved a room, price went up. Now, in 2 month Ive been charged $97.00 +tax. Im allergic to Blueberry.. I will not be back. I reserved a room with the Hyatt and paid $68.00 full continental breakfast and lunch buffet. Plus I get a senior discount. Being said, I will not be back to Americas Best (worst) not Value Inn. Lazy weekend receptionist, always on cell phone and rude to anyone who comes in for a room reserved, I am so disappointed. Move on to other hotels. I would give a -1. Sam is the owner and I would definitely recommend speaking with Sam, not the, oh well , its just a boring position. The guy at the desk tried to charge me double what it said online, so I booked it online. He then made me wait 30 minutes to check in because I booked it online even though it showed up in his computer already. I woke up to a cockroach crawling across my face in the middle of the night. There were 4 more in the shower in the morning. I notified the front desk... the receptionist said I was the forth person that day complaining about cockroaches. No refund offered. No apology. So unfortunate to see businesses ran like this and no effort to make it right. I will update my review if this issue is alleviated

We come to Temple to visit family and basically need a place to stay, nothing fancy.. but reasonable and clean. We ve stayed at Super 8 and they are in disrepair.. found this on Hopper. Reviews were hopeful. It s acceptable, clean.. we re spots on furniture.. cigarette burn in bedspread in non smoking room..and. It s clean, smells clean and appointed nicely. Perfect for what we needed. We ll be back the piece is right!! Thanks!

I saw nothing but good reviews, which is why I booked this place. As soon as we got there, I knew it wasnt what we read about. A cockroach crawled down the shower wall as soon as we stepped into the bathroom, and numerous windows were busted out of other rooms. The air conditioner was caked with dust and grime, and when turned on, it smelled heavily like mildew. Front desk personnel were great which is the only reason Im giving the hotel 2 stars.

Extremely disappointed and will not stay here again or recommend it to anyone. We didn t get to our room until Midnight (we told them when we made the reservation that is when we would be there) and once we arrived, we were very tired from traveling and ready for some rest. The AC in our room was completely off and it was extremely hot in there, took forever to cool down. Since we arrived so late, we asked if we could do a late check out at 12:00pm (because typically every hotel will allow that if needed especially if you arrive so late) but they told us they would not allow that, we could have until 11:30 and to not be tardy . 11:30 comes and we are getting the last bit of our stuff packed up and about to head out the door when at 11:31 our room phone starts ringing. The phone didn t work so I called the front desk from my phone and they were mad that we were there past 11:30 (literally 1 minute past) and made such a fuss about it. We have 2 kiddos so we were trying our best to hurry! The hallway was absolutely gross and smelled of old cigarettes. The lighting in the bathroom was extremely poor as well, very dark. The water pressure in the shower was also terrible. Let me also now add we just checked out to see what they charged us and it was $122. It was supposed to be $79 for the room and a $20 pet fee (which we were told 2 different times it was going to only be $20) and we were charged a safe fee, which we never even used the safe. Again, extremely disappointed and won t be staying again or recommending!

We were lied to about breakfast and pool. They said we cant guarantee the pool will be open due to weather but, that someone was in it that day. There is no way anyone would of swam in that pool. This place was just bad. We started making a game out of how bad this place was just to get through the night. The room reeked of cigarette smoke covered by a cheap and ineffective room spray which flared up my wifes asthma, the water pressure in the shower was horrible (I could have washed my hair faster in the sink), the hairdryer didnt work, the pool outside was dirty and green (we didnt plan on using it anyway), the bed was rock hard and the pillows were flat, the floor was filthy and kept making my feet black, and the attendant at the front desk didnt seem to care about any of our concerns. The only reason this review isnt only 1 star is the convenience of its location by the freeway. This is actually the 2nd stay weve had with an Americas Best Value Inn, and the 1st experience sucked too, so we will not stay at these locations anymore.

The rudest staff at a hotel that I have ever been to. We asked for more blankets and we were told that we needed to speak to a manager (um ok weird). The manager was rude just like Luz the receptionist. We paid more money to check in early since we had just drove 6 hours fom the Valley with two toddlers. Our first time visiting Temple and they were not welcoming at all. It was snowing the day that we were leaving and they front desk clerk said we were not allowed to go through the lobby. Just a bunch of jerks. Never again.

Staff was very nice. The room was very large. Got a King bed it great, nice mix firm with a good soft layer. The room was very clean and remolded recently. There was a microwave and a refrigerator. The rooms and guess the manager guy who check me in was the only good thing at this hotel. The manager always kept a smile and help me out when I needed something. However, the hallways smelled like a bar. Smoke and drugs smelling. Carpet stains, and very hot hallways. Actually a few a/c units was breaking. We were in the area and didnt have reservations. We didnt have any other options because this was the only hotel from Waco to Austin we could find an availability. I was very worried upon entering the hotel because the carpet in the halls was outdated and it had a smell to the building but when we got to our room i was very pleased and immediately relaxed. The room was updated with nice wood looking floors, the bedding was very clean all the way down to the mattress, and the feel of the room was totally different from the other parts of the hotel. The man that checked us in at 1:30AM was very nice and helpful BUT the lady at the front desk around 10:45AM was not nice at all. it was raining outside and there was a wet floor sign as soon as you walked in the door so we walked on in and the lady was very rude when telling us to come on it we already walked on the floor (she was moping). Im not sure why she chose close to checkout to mop but she was. This and the feel of the hallways were the only reason i gave 4 stars rather than 5.

Quick trip to Austin, this was easy access, clean rooms, good price, not super fancy but just what we needed. Good breakfast. Sam was great at the check in.

No printer for the computer. Took a while to get hot water. Worse place I have ever stayed at. You could smell smoke in the hallway on the non smoking area. YMCA would have been better. Coffee was worse than bD.

The staff were very friendly and make you feel both welcome and comfortable. The room was very clean and the bed was very comfortable. The lighting in the room could be brighter, but i definitely recommend this place and will stay here again.

Ehh... its ok... I just needed somewhere to get some rest for cheap bc I was just staying there for about 7 hours...the water didnt get that hot (thats... its an extra $10 for breakfast so I just went to McDonalds and paid $4 for 2 sandwiches and a drink lol but hey it was only $50 so u get what u pay for

Warning!!!! Bed bugs! No water pressure in the shower and the shower head is messed up. Not much room to move between dresser and bed especially since the drawer wouldn t stay closed. Downstairs door needs fixed, not just a sign that says don t allow door to slam . It slams anyways and shakes the room above. I d say you get what you pay for but I didn t want to pay for bug bites
