Easy enough to find. Lots of space. Staff listened and happily responded. Very friendly people very happy place. The people of Sammons are welcoming and open to new friends and neighbors. They share experiences gathered from all over. Its very much like stepping into the fictional bar Cheers where everyone knows your name.

This place is a good social environment for retired and elderly people. They have a variety of activities going each day. They have a membership to join. The number 1 activity is Brunch Bingo on Fridays. They also have activities that you pay for besides the membership.

Bingo and Brunch is geared more for women and bingo prizes are more for women than men, lunch is poor most of the time. The place is ran by all women and and most of the activities are geared towards women. Killeen Lions Club Senior center is much better in all respects in my opinion.

Love the Community center. Its clean and nice and mostly quiet with people doing their own thing and theres an exercise room. The beauty; lakes and grass are only for the golfers, so if you like to take walks go to Lions Park. But the center has a great little library, free coffee, game rooms, crafts and you can rent rooms for events. Only $5 to join for the whole year!

We drove 65 miles from Austin to get our covid vaccine shots at this beautiful park on a small lake. We were here on Jan 20, the same day Biden was sworn in as President. It was extremely well organized with no waiting. The Bell County vaccine web site was easy to access and navigate, especially compared to the Travis county web site, which was ridiculously complex. Thanks to volunteers and fire department who made this happen.

Small, lovely pool receiving taxpayer funds so yes, open to the public, but locals guard it ferociously and will be verbally abusive to outsiders and will also overcharge by refusing to sell passes to keep crowding down. Enter at your own risk.

Stopped by for information. The center is like the one I used to go to in Georgia. They dont have step aerobics which is a disappointment. They have a ton of classes and it only costs $5.00 to join unless they live outside the area and then it is $8.00. I met a bunch of nice people the first day I was there. Cant wait to try it out but first impressions were good.
