Had the sampler for dinner. It was a lot of tasty food. The salmon, and tuna were very fresh. And the roll was made perfectly. Logan was very attentive, answered all of our questions, and kept our drinks topped off.

Place is a nice casual vibe! Service in general was fast and accommodating. Make sure you ask for, Sab he really took care of us. The wife and I went after shopping at sugar land town cause we were thirsty. Sake bombs on point, and the food was amazing. Really liked how the menu has a twist and not such a traditional sushi menu. I ordered the black widow and it was better than the original spider. Wife got dumplings and fresh salmon sushi and man sooo good! And dessert on point

Enjoy eating here! Their lunch menu is so good and so delicious. They have lots of options on the lunch menu. I took my mom here for the first time and she really loved the stuffed jalapeños and the salada verde. This place is definitely a repeat eat place and is one I ll continue to visit. My shaggy dog poke bowl was not good. I was given two huge chunks of cream cheese. Shrimps were small and greasy. The crab meat was put on the plate in one huge chunk. The bowl was sloppy and thrown in a bowl.

Delicious food, good service and atmosphere. Party of seven, we didnt have to wait. Service was nice, attentive, and fairly quick. Atmosphere was nice, not too loud or quiet. Went on a Sunday night for a surprise celebration for a friend. We had a table of six and although each individual arrived one at a time, we were seated upon arrival. Giselle was amazing! She kept up with each order by memory, entertained our shenanigans and was really sweet overall! I usually come for lunch so this was my first time for happy hour and dinner and it did not disappoint! We enjoyed everything!

My son and I are huge fans of sushi , this place has been the best sushi place so far in sugar land. We came during lunch time and It was packed with happy customers. The food was fresh and the customers Service was even better . Definitely will be coming back and will recommend to my family and friends. ZIM was our waiter and he made us feel right at home.

About a month ago me my wife and two sons went for lunch, we ordered appetizer, couple of plates and desert. The fried rice bowel with fish and shrimp in it was disgusting. It was too brown and too salty from the amount souce the put on it, the fried orio cooky was unhealthy, the only good part was the fried plantain. I wanted to complain but my son told me not to, would I go there again I doubt it. PS: I have visited this sugar Land location once previously.

Japaneiros never disappoints. Even after many years as a customer I am always happy with my order. During my last visit I tried one of the nirvanas and it was exactly what I wanted even though I ordered the chefs choice. I love sushi through and through and, despite the restaurant being a fusion concept, I really enjoy just eating their fresh fish in whatever format they present it, from sashimi to their specialty rolls. Whether you are a fan of sushi or its your first time trying sushi, youll find something you love at Japaneiros.

We don t live in the area, but we were going through Sugarland today and we stopped in for dinner. Every single detail about our experience today was fantastic! We fell in love with our waitress, Priya she was incredibly attentive, enjoyable to talk to, gave us great recommendations and requested minor changes from the kitchen for us on some of the items we ordered. We had the Japacodo, the seafood platter, the shaggy Dog and the New Zealand. We shared everything. I also had a Bloody Mary and we each had a sweet tea. Priya even asked us if we liked our tea on the light or heavier side of sweet WHO DOES THAT?! Every single thing we ordered was so much better than just good. Everything was on the TO DIE FOR level. What a tantalizing experience on our taste buds and a beautiful gem in the restaurant world. I highly recommend Japaneiro s!

Really disappointed in our dining choice tonight. I argued with my wife to go to Japaneiro s and not Lopez. Our food ended up taking almost an hour to come out. The waiter forgot to put our order in. Non alcohol options are limited unless you drink Coke products. I had Mango Tea and didnt like it so went for traditional Lemonade. The water they use from the fountain to make the minute maid Lemonade taste horrible so I went without a beverage. The communication wasnt great. I ordered California rolls for my son and needed a minute to decide for myself. When the guy came back for my order he asked if there would be anything for my son? I pointed at my son and said hes having the California Rolls. He had a defensive posture with his hand up and explained he didnt know if I wanted his order in already or at the same time? That question shouldve been asked when I placed his order 10min prior. Our food comes and the manager brings it. She doesnt look like she works there by her attire. They only way I concluded she was because she was giving direction and handling food. She brought 1 plate and mentioned California Rolls. I pointed to my son to let her know thats his order. There were like 16 pieces in 2 different groups. I looked at the plate confused. She said its both and named my order which my son is highly allergic to. Me: You put both orders on 1 plate? Manager: yes do you need 2 plates? Me: Yes please (who does that) I had the Hawaiin shrimp roll hold the chill powder. The flavor was good. My sons California roll had a lot of pieces of carrot mixed in the rice which is odd. Normal sushi is just the whit rice roll. He ate a few pieces and he was done. As were about to leave I noticed fried sushi oreo and a scoop of vanilla ice cream so I decided to give it a shot. It said it was the employees favorite. It was delivered with 2 forks. I thought its weird to eat sushi with a fork and ice cream with a fork so I req a spoon for my ice cream and chopsticks for my sushi. It was ok for me. If you really like oreos and have a super sweet tooth go for it! The blueberry on top threw the whole chocolate to vanilla bread sweet creamy sweet off. Yuck The communication was horrible. You should put on the menu or verbalize all food comes on 1 plate. People have allergies and preferences. You should ask if the desert will be shared and not assume and bring extra utensils creating an odd situation. I probably wont go here again unless everything else is closed and I needed to get my vegan son some food.

What can I say this place is amazing!! The fusion of Latin and Asian foods work so well. The service was outstanding and fast. We tried a few items off the menu that were recommended by our awesome waiter Johnathan. The beef tostadas and the tres leche were my number one choices. The crab Rangoon and seaweed salad was so tasty. There were a variety of sushi options and they were great and fresh. Honestly everything was so beyond words we will be returning soon. If you looking for a great meal and good service I would check them out.

Been going here for 4+ years and this is the BEST sushi anywhere! I have been far and low state to country and have never found sushi this good! My recommendations are Go Astros roll and the Austin Hippie with Baja sauce! Emphasis on the Baja sauce! UPDATE 2-17-24 Still has to be the best sushi you can get anywhere besides I m assuming Japan I haven t been yet. Ive been going to this spot for over 15 years, and every time, same thing, great food, great service, and great experience. A fave spot in Sugarland Town Square. We usually get seated right away, not a long wait at all. You can park at the garages nearby. Very spacious inside and chill vibes. The appetizers are great to share with everyone. Some of my favorites are the beef taitaki, japacado, and salmon tostadas. Some of my favorite rolls are the black widow, tropic thunder, Hawaiian, and the shaggy dog. Everything is very shareable and the quality is very consistent. Services are usually friendly and quick. Overall, a good spot to check in the area.

Don t order take out from here. They make excuses left and right for not checking to make sure you are here and put the accountability on the person they are serving. I sat for 15 minutes after checking in. Then the two teenage girls said there s a sign outside to call since they don t check the online check ins. This was my Birthday brunch. Our group included Birthday mom, Vegan daughter, and super hungry son-in-law. There was awesome food for every diet style. Our waitress was very warm and friendly. As we were first timers a really good wait staff is a real plus. The food was fresh. Veggies were pleasing and fried tempura was crunchy and not greasy. Surprise fried oreo and ice cream Birthday cake finished off a perfect brunch. Great place to dine, visit, have drinks and the prices are very reasonable. We will be back again. Vegetarian options: Veggie section is Vegan including appetizers, entries and sides. Dietary restrictions: Vegan section of the menu had many good options so a Vegan can actually have appetizers, main course and sides. Kitchen prepares the food Vegan style. Parking: Come early for street parking. Garage has ample spaces. The numbers on the slots is to help you remember where you parked not to be confused with reserved spaces.

The shrimp dumplings were really good. Everything else wasn t. Spicy garlic edamame needed salt wouldn t recommend. Seafood rice tasted exactly like the fried rice in the freezer section of the grocery store, but the plantains in it were great (It is Hard to mess up plantains if they re hot ). The Nirvana Chef s choice medium was a lot of food for 2 people. I d suggest you pick your own though, because the chefs choice wasn t the tastiest. All I m all I don t have to ever come back. I had a lunch with my friends at high noon on a Wednesday. It was busy but our server did an adequate job managing her (our) section. The meal was giving Jack of all, master of none The sushi lacked depth of flavor (umami, or at least eel sauce)... the spicy edamame needed salt and spice, and the shrimp dumplings were mid. The food was plated beautifully- but taste was lacking. They did too much- yet nothing at all. The most annoying part is how they plated our food to go. They literally didnt have to! We requested to do that for ourselves. (Pictures attached) On the plus side- the patio is dog friendly! Improvements. Placing pictures of their popular items on the menu. Actually fusing the dishes. Pros first: Sushi and sashimi are super fresh and so tasty. We had the Texas roll (favorite) and a shaggy dog, along with 8 pc of Hamachi (yellow tail) and 2pc of Namesake salmon nigiri. As a former vegan, I do have to mention that I was very impressed with an entire section of the menu offering vegan options! Great job Japaneiro s!! We also enjoyed their cold lychee sake. We sat at the sushi bar and were seated right away, and our server was super attentive and friendly! I m usually great with names, so please forgive me for not remembering hers, but I know it started with a J Anyways overall the atmosphere is a little loud for my taste, so if you re wanting a quiet romantic dinner, sadly I would have to say this is not that vibe, but for a group of friends or a casual dinner, (which was us tonight) where you don t mind the noise, this is your place!! The decor is very nice and trendy! And bathrooms are very clean! Overall I d give it a 9.2/10! I ll definitely be back when I m in town!

The only concern is that just because it says plant based does not mean its 100% plant based. You have to be careful. They put dairy inside the rolls and the sauce they use on top. I actually have a food allergy to dairy, so I ended up being very sick for the rest of the day. Unfortunately, it was my birthday. But again, its an amazing place and thank you for providing food for all diets!

I came here for a lunch date for my first date with this guy I met. Right away I was amazed at the service that Lauren gave us. She was great at suggestions for lunch and absolutely nailed the suggestions to eat. I loved everything she suggested. She was great at customer service and always checked our water. I would highly recommend this restaurant for sushi. I haven t found anything in Houston that measures up their sushi. Go see Lauren. She is great

The service was good and but prices are high, as is normal for a restaurant in the Sugar Land town square. I had the Grilled Chicken Milanesa lunch $30. The Verde salad and Seafood soup were great. But the chicken was too thin, crispy, and dry. The restaurant itself was visually nice with outdoor seating available. However parking is hard to find and this area gets very congested. First time coming here but I wouldnt go out of my way to return.

Vibe- This is another nice restaurant in Sugar Land Town Square by First Colony Mall. There s seating outside and plenty of seating inside (including a bar). Very nice ambiance; would be a nice date night spot ! Customer service- Great! Food/drinks- I got a pomegranate margarita (4/5)and plantain chips (5/5 )during happy hour (everyday 3-6) and a vegan Sunkist roll(4/5); everything was good. Parking- There s a garage with free parking right by the restaurant!

The sushi was not great. Whether it was the toro, saki, maguro, or namasake nigiris none of them tasted right. Especially, the salmon roe I had, tasted off. I don t like to waste food, but I could not eat the two salmon roe nigiri I had ordered. The Shaggy Dog roll which I had ordered based on a recommendation had a huge chunk of cream cheese totally threw me off too. The only thing I enjoyed was the Verde Salad and my waiter being nice. If youre a big sushi lover I wouldnt recommend coming for sushi but Ill assume their other dishes would taste better.

Wheelchair accessibility: Easy access down the sidewalk and into the restaurant. It s easier to navigate to the bathrooms through the restaurant side than the bar side. (Men s room review) Bathroom sink is too high and too far back for a wheelchair user. The accessible stall door opens inward, making it awkward to navigate a chair into the stall, close the door, turn around in the chair, etc.

I can t believe I ve never reviewed this place. We ve been coming here since it opened many many years ago. They still have my staples (Hawaiian roll, dumplings with amazing sauce, and avocado soup). It s all about the avocado soup. I m pretty sure this is what got me eating avocado. The service is actually improving in my opinion. My husband and I just went for happy hour and had a great experience. Our waitress was fast and very sweet. We usually avoid dinner due to how busy it gets, but if you can make it on a weekday before six they have great HH options. It s a must try even if you re not in the Sugat Land area.
