Celebrated 70th Birthday with wife. Warm bread and butter was good. Appetizers Oysters and Calamari, and Entrees, Twin Lobster tails & Chiliean Sea Bass seasoned and cooked to perfectionnand we shared twice baked potatoes.10 layer carrot cake for dessert is a must have. All well worth the visit and price. We will return. Please ask for Anita, very knowledgeable of menu and favorites and recommendations as well as exceptional service. Parking: Definitely recommended $5 Valet Parking.

Initial reception was great, all downhill from there dining area temp was warm, table was in busy walk/pathway, busgirl did not understand English, food was very slow out of the kitchen, waiter looked like he just left the drag club!!! I don t understand how this is acceptable in a place that is supposed to be a notch above??? Will NOT be back, I do NOT give second chances when poor conditions exist that shouldn t!!

My husband and I went here for our anniversary dinner in August. Not only was the food wonderful, but the service was too. All of the staff were very friendly. Our server offered to take a picture of us and asked if I wanted to video him making my drink. It was very considerate. We ordered an assortment of foods. We enjoyed the caviar deviled eggs and the calamari for an appetizer. I got the lobster which was cooked well (I found lobster can be hit or miss). We ve tried several nice restaurants in Dallas, and this one is my favorite so far.

I have no idea how it is that Ocean Prime hadn t made it to my list of restaurants to visit sooner. First, I love that the restaurant has valet. The service was top notch and our server wasn t just pleasant but very professional and attentive. I ordered the lamb and sautéed spinach. It was prepared well, I just wished it hadn t been covered with sauce. I should have asked for it to be put on the side. Let s talk about the truffle popcorn that was placed on the table along with bread. OMG! It s like crack! The server was kind enough to pack me up some to go!! Come for the food and service, stay for the truffle popcorn! I most definitely recommend this 5 star restaurant!

This was my first time dining here. It was a birthday celebration for my cousin and the service was awesome. Food was amazing, I had a seafood type of salad and everything tasted so crisp and fresh! Our friends loved this place! The calamari was really good. Our friends loved the scallops and the filet. The redfish was very good. I found the salmon disappointing. It was cooked right but the tomato broth was overpowering. The creamed spinach was excellent but the chocolate torte was just average. Our server Lea was excellent! Drinks were good.

As a native, its my responsibility to love Del Friscos, Bobs Chophouse, Al Biernats, etc, and I do. Oceans Prime is my favorite in Dallas though. I know its a chain but much like Mortons, Flemings, or Capital Grill - its consistently awesome regardless of what city youre in. I recommend whatever the daily special is, usually a higher end bone-in cut or a fancy fish. All beef is prime or better. NY strip is my go to.

Okay, this review is a little late as we visited OP for my husbands birthday in April. But I have to rave about the amazing experience we had. First of all, Rodney (Cool Rodney vs. Hot Rodney - but Im sure HR is lovely also) was the epitome of a professional. Knowledgeable, engaged and possessing a great sense of humor, Rodney guided us to exactly the dishes we were looking for. I can I say CARROT CAKE? Great service, but afterwards they said we didnt sign our cc receipt ( which we did and left a 30% tip) They also verified the amount after tip and we confirmed with them. Then we get charged on our cc and they added even more to the tip, which is why I rated service 2 stars. Service itself was excellent.

IIve been to Oceans Prime countless times, always taking a seat in the bar area, and I must say, the service has always been top-notch. However, this time was a complete disaster. I decided to bring a friend from another state to savor a delicious meal, so we opted for the main dining area. What a regrettable decision. The service was beyond terrible. The waiters didnt even bother introducing themselves, and to make matters worse, we had multiple waiters attending to us simultaneously. As if that wasnt enough, the food was horribly overcooked, leaving us with a chaotic mess on our plates. This experience left a sour taste in my mouth, especially since I had highly recommended this place. Needless to say, I was thoroughly disappointed with the outcome.

Ocean prime is a forever favorite spot I enjoy dining at. My food is always good and my favorite go to drink is the Bubbles & Berries. I recently went to try a newer dish The Lobster Linguine and it was amazing ... They give you so much lobster meat which i appreciate . We came for dinner on Mothers Day. Reservations were for 6 PM, we arrived about 5 minutes early and were eated very quickly. We asked for the covered terrace and were seated near the windows. The atmosphere here is really nice, I highly recommend the terrace. If the weather is bad, it is completely enclosed. Half the dishes were very good while the other half just made no sense. The bone in filet was great, the chilean sea bass was ok and the creamed spinach was terrible. The drinks were just ok. The Berries and Bubbles drink was fun. Our service was really bad. I wont plan another visit here but Id also not discourage others from trying it. Our experience may have been a one off.

We have been dining at Ocean Prime for years, always consistently great service and food, this visit was no exception. Rodney was our server, he took amazing care of us, made us feel like his only customers even though the place was packed. Food, outstanding, y bride and I had shrimp cocktail, scallops, and red fish with a bottle of wine; Eight years in the desert. Go here, its always a good time. Parking: You can hunt around the area for a garage or a spot on the street, but I suggest just valet, way easier!

Worst steaks weve ever had, especially for an upscale establishment. We recently had a big group gathering here to celebrate multiple birthdays. The service and atmosphere were great, as expected for an upscale restaurant. The food, however, was not up to par. More than half of our group ordered different dishes of steaks, ranging from medium rare to medium. When they came out, all of them looked slightly burn on the outside. To make it worse, they were way too chewy. If its just one dish or two that are too chewy, itd have been forgivable. But for their expensive price and to have all of the steak dishes to be burned and chewy, we felt we were being cheated and robbed. If you do go there, order something else, avoid the steaks.

Both my husband and really want to share our experience at O.P. Last night my husband and I had date night (Much needed, it had been a while ). When we arrived we waited maybe five minutes before we were seated. The restaurant has such a great atmosphere, felt calm yet lively. I can t really tell you how long we waited before our server came because we were too busy looking at the menu. Our server Matthew, was phenomenal. He was so helpful and felt like he went above and beyond to take care of us. Not only was our serve amazing but the entire staff was doing a great job at checking in and making sure we were doing well. I did notice it seemed the other tables were being treated with the same courtesy. Our food, oh my gosh was so delicious! Everything from our appetizers to our desert was so yummy. The Ahi-Tuna tartare was one of our appetizers and was one of my favorites. For the main meal I had the Chilean sea bass and I thought it was fine. However, my husband had the Ahi-Tuna and that was spectacular. I could go on and on, I just felt that this was such a great experience worth sharing. We will definitely be going back for sure

We had a wonderful evening! Our server Rodney was attentive, thoughtful, and kind. He provided 10/10 service! The steak was excellent quality and great flavor. We had a few side dishes from roasted brussel sprouts, mashed potatoes (which were whipped to perfection), to loaded baked potatoes and drinks from the bubbly berry to smokey old fashioned. The atmosphere was the BEST and if your looking for the cheesecake .they stopped it after 2019. my fiancé took me here for our one year anniversary and when we walked in we were greeted with complimentary champagne and the host wishing us a happy anniversary!! it was so sweet and such a nice touch, we were seated in a booth with a candle lit with roses around it , so beautiful. are waiter was very attentive and helpful with the menu . we ordered the calamari , king salmon and lobster pasta 10/10 lots of flavor and the plating was nice as well, we a few drinks which presentation was pretty , tasty and strong , the ambiance was also relaxing and romantic, we also got complimentary dessert to take home for our anniversary, we really enjoyed ourselves and will most definitely be back for another romantic evening, the prices were very reasonable and affordable as well , we can t wait to dine again!

It was such a perfect night. The server and the chef handled food allergies so well, they should be training other restaurants. The food was delicious, especially the teriyaki salmon. It is beautiful inside and they let us take our time at dinner. I can t recommend Ocean Prime enough. Dietary restrictions: Our server took the list of allergens. We ordered and he knew what would work and how it could be modified to work. The chef made a safe sauce from scratch when he saw the order and it had wheat in it. It was perfect.

We were looking forward to dining at this restaurant during our trip to Dallas. Unfortunately, the food was a big disappointment. We started off with a dozen East Coast oysters. They were not fresh, they were rubbery and dry. At this price point, the East Coast oysters should have come with the traditional three sauces, and they did not. They came with horseradish dumped in a container of ketchup. For the salad course, I had the Ahi tuna which was very flavorful but a bit much. The sauces were very overwhelming and very salty. For the entrée I had their signature dish the Chilean Seabass, which was not fresh and very overwhelming with sauce. The restaurant itself is very nice and the staff is courteous. Our server was excellent and provided outstanding service. However, I cannot recommend this place due to the fact that the food was average at best. At this price point, there are other high-end seafood restaurants in the area.

Previous experience was much better. I had dinner at this location with 5 others from work. The atmosphere is great and service was good. And, most of the food was good. Appetizers came out quick and were good, nothing amazing. Dinner took a bit longer than expected considering they were not very busy. Several in my group had the Seabass, some had steak. I chose the Ahi Tuna to be different. I specifically asked the server if it would be seared and rare and he said it would. It came out medium+ if you think about a steak. It was way overcooked and just awful. The server agreed it was overcooked and promptly had it replaced. This time it was cooked perfectly, but the sear actually took away from the tuna. I ate it, but would not order the tuna again. I NEVER complain and NEVER send things back. And I rarely write reviews, but felt compelled this time. On a positive note, we all shared the peanut butter and chocolate dessert and it was amazing.

Very beautiful restaurant. Our waiter Vinny was very informative. We ordered the Shrimp with Tabasco cream sauce as an appetizer. Delicious! It comes with a cheese bread. For entrees we ordered the Scallops with the parm risotto and the Chilean Sea Bass. The scallops and risotto were good but the bass needed just a little more seasoning. The Bass comes on top of a corn bread pudding, which is sweet but not overly sweet. The garlic mash was tasty and the truffle Mac was also good. I also ordered the Black Orchid and another drink which both were good. I wanted to order the Ora King Salmon but unfortunately they were out of that salmon that day. Overall it was a nice experience. Valet was very nice!

For starters, Ocean Prime been on my bucket list for years since I first moved to the area. Well we decided to go last night and I was extremely disappointed. I had the Texas Red Fish which really didn t taste like anything at all. Lobster Mac and Cheese had to get sent back for them to heat it up because it wasn t hot at all. His steak had to go back because it wasn t cooked medium well. When they brought the lobster mac and cheese back out, it didn t really taste like anything. The best thing we had was the Calamari, the water, and my pineapple picante drink was good. Other than that, I can t believe I waited years to attend this place just to be disappointed. The server accidentally forgot to pack our steak, so I called the next day to see if we could get another one. Danielle the manage was very polite and offered to get another steak or refund us. It was delicious! Joy was our server and she was attentive, funny, and gave us great recommendations. We had sushi, crab legs, shrimp, Cesar salad, French onion soup, and a filet Oscar style. I was so disappointed . We ordered the bubbles and berries drink and the deviled eggs and both were amazing. The main dish was terrible. We both ordered sea bass and a side of mushrooms. The sea bass was the worst Ive ever had. It was dry and hard and has absolutely no flavor. Normally its a buttery delicate taste. Super disappointed bc I love sea bass. My service was awesome though and the atmosphere was great.

I go to Ocean Prime about 2-3 times a year for special occasions. Food is always delicious and ambiance is great. Service was really good up until the very end when F. Garcia, the server brought out the machine card for us to pay. At a classy establishment like Ocean Prime, payment should always be discreet. Bring out the book for the check and let us place our card in, and bring it back and let us sign the check. They brought out the machine like it was a Chilis/Apple Bees and asked us to tip with the screen and sign on the screen - very trashy and low class vibes. I could not say enough about the amazing experience my husband and I had dining here for his 30th birthday. From the hosts at the front desk, our server, and the manager we had a 11/10 dining experience. The cocktails and the food were absolutely delicious. There is ample parking between the valet offered and garage. Thank you for an awesome experience!

I first dined at Ocean Prime in Washington D.C. and it was amazing! Therefore I made the Dallas location my first stop when I arrived in the city. Valet is the only parking option and it was confusing. There wasn t a clear spot to pull up to and the passenger had to get out the car to go find an attendant. The restaurant is big and very nice, and I appreciated that the door in the ladies restroom had a foot thingy to open it upon exiting. We sat in the lounge area (which opened us up to additional menu options) and our server was really great! The food unfortunately didn t live up to what I experienced in D.C. The surf and turf was bland and the short rib wasn t as tender as I would have liked. The prime beef sliders were also lacking flavor. The crab cake had more breading than the one I had in D.C. (which had way more crab meat). We both agreed that the blackened fish tacos and butter cake were the best items. After we left, I only felt regret for spending so much for lunch and not enjoying it like I had hoped.

Visited Ocean Prime for a birthday dinner and got to experience a majority of the menu across our party. The stand outs were the calamari and the ribeye with truffle butter. The cocktail list had a lot of great options and everything we ordered to drink was delicious. The service was great and the atmosphere was exactly what you would expect from a modern steak and seafood restaurant.

So 7 year Anniversary on Friday, Dec.15th. Nice touch on the Moscato at the door. Took a minute for waitress to come, but she did. We ordered half order of Devil Eggs, because we were not for sure if they would be good. My partner also ordered Calamari and when it hit the table it was not prepared correctly. We waited so long no need to send back. Deviled eggs were bland. On to ordering the main entree. I ordered Chicken Caesar Salad and whipped potatoes. My date ordered New York steak and Mac and Cheese. My order came out two side of parmesan chicken with some lettuce in the middle of the plate. Sent that back. Mac and cheese was bland as well. Steak was good for my date, but thats it. Spending almost $200 on an experience and receiving subpar is very disappointing to me. Also, the Valet was very disorganized. The service was not very good. We were a party of 7 on Dec.17. My mom got the lobster linguine and it was very dry. They attempted to fix it by bringing extra sauce instead of just remaking it. My scallops were very gummy. The problem was I believe all of our food set in the window to long and got cold, and they just brought it out to us anyway hoping we didn t notice. I don t know maybe we got the B team on a Sunday in the kitchen and waitstaff. I guess the worst part was all the things that went wrong with our table. A manager never showed up to check on us. That was the worst $900 I ve ever spent at a restaurant. I m would ve been better off at red lobster.

I brought my wife here for her Birthday dinner. The food was amazing. Exactly what I expected from the reviews I read. The Sea scallops were prepped and cooked perfectly, the red fish full of flavor, the asparagus crisp and steamed to perfection, and the jalapeño gratin will now be my all time favorite side! I would have given 5 stars but our server was terrible. He handed us menus and asked if it was our first time. We told him it was and we were visiting from Houston and celebrating my wifes birthday. Our server Corey didnt recommend anything or hi-light anything from the menu...he literally told us he would give us more time and come back. I told him we would start with the lobster on ice and he immediately pointed to the price as if we couldnt afford it. Somehow we ended up with shellfish tower on ice that he said he would make sure was just enough for 2 people.He refilled our drinks once...we had to wait for nearby servers to take care of us. While we waited to order, we did notice another server named Victor. He took care of his customers and explained the menu, gave hi-lights, recommendations, and even let every one of his tables know what the restaurant was known for. I was so excited to try this 10-layers of carrot cake he spoke about to all his tables but we never got to that point. We were so disappointed with our service we closed out and left. I took my wife elsewhere for dessert. I do plan on going back, but I will definitely ask for Victor.

3 of us here for a girls night out. Lets start with the service because this determined the whole thing. Hosts were amazing, welcoming, prompt, professional. It was our server. From the beginning complete lack of for technical terms their jobservice. Took I dont know, how long to even greet us, I lost track after 5 min. Then drinks, uhhh probably another 10 to 15. Took our order, we actually shared 2 entrees and a couple sides. Dinner arrives by a runner, our server, hmmm, whered she go. No idea. Ahh shes back mid way through dinner, ordered second round of drinks. That took another 10 to 15. Then she asks us how our meal is. 99% done. Wouldnt have mattered if we needed something, we wouldnt have ever gotten it in a timely manner. The meal. Ordered the filet, it was just ok. If you want an amazing filet go to Perrys or Eddie Vs or even Bobs. Same thing goes goes for service. If you want amazing service go to any of these 3 places!. Other entree sea bass. Delicious! But kind of luke warm in the center. Oh well. The server never wouldve been able to rectify this since she was Mia or just not doing any kind of service that night. The sides with sea bass were just ok. Kinda bland next to how good the fish was. Other sides were whipped mashed potatoes and miso broccoli. The mashed tasted like theyd been sitting on a stream table too long. Miso broccoli was the star of the dinner. Delicious. Overall ambiance was nice, food allright, service nill.

My daughter and I came in for dinner on a Tuesday night. We were sat right away. Our server was Eddie. He was adorable, professional and attentive. We ordered 3 appetizers to try, and entree each and a dessert to share. The presentation was beautiful. The flavor was delicious. The surf n turf app was so tender. The goat cheese ravioli is delicious. Do not sleep on the shrimp saute . I had the scallops with risotto. So creamy and delicious. I feel the only negative is the walk up to the restaurant. It is a walk around a building to take an elevator to enter. The building exterior is very plain. Dietary restrictions: They do ask if you have dietary restrictions and any allergies prior to taking your order.
