Paid and booked for a class. My wife and I went all the way there for the day we booked only to found out we weren t even booked at all. I had the receipt and confirmation. The worker there tried his best to help me but it was out of his hands, and was texting the managers I suppose. No one reached out to me or answered the phone. I had to text the number on google rather than talking to someone. I requested a refund and was granted it no questions asked, no explanations of what went wrong, no offers of rescheduling. I would ve have liked to give this place a try but with terrible customer service, terrible booking system, I m glad they didn t offer to reschedule us anyway.

10/10 recommend! My sister and I had gotten a one time wheel class gifted to us in July, we loved it so much we signed up for the beginner class! Arul and Paula are amazing teachers! It is a fully functioning pottery studio, so there are people who are new and people who have been doing pottery for years. It s a wealth of knowledge, I cannot recommend this place enough! Try out a one time wheel and you will be hooked!

Had an amazing pottery class but once I came to picking up the actual pot, it was very chaotic. I had gotten a text that my Paul was ready to be picked up with all my friends, and it wasn t ready, which is fine, but they had mentioned to me that the machine to bake the pot was broken, which is understandable but then I got another text in three weeks, noting that my pot was done so when I came in, I was surprised to find that not only was it not done, but it also was not glazed. I also followed up with them because I didn t get any text or any messages from them and about three months after my initial pottery class I got a text that my pot was done and so I went into the studio to pick it up and to my surprise , the glaze was done in a way where I could tell it was rushed because all of the design of the glaze was clamped on one side. There was no care put into it and I would think after three months of me waiting for the pot that I made and paid for the class for that they would at least glaze it properly because me and my friend picked the same glaze. Yeah I was the one that got a completely different design because even bothered to fix that.

I really enjoyed the one time class at the wheel. The instructors took their time to teach the class and you didn t feel rushed as you made your bowl. It s a fun activity to do with friends or solo and after a few weeks you get a fully usable bowl! I loved it so much that I m now in their monthly classes and really enjoying creating anything I want!

This is my absolute favorite place! I started my pottery journey with no experience and have loved learning from everyone and continuing to grow my skills. Heather is a fantastic teacher! We have projects and do our own thing with help along the way. Its great to create something, be proud of it, laugh at the disasters, and be a part of a family atmosphere each week!

I had such an amazing time for my first throwing class ever. Heather, the instructor, was so knowledgeable and an amazing teacher! The class was warm and everything felt so inviting. Even though it was my first time there was no trepidation, only excitement. At the end of the class I had shaped a bowl that I already know will be a staple in my dish cupboard for years to come. I m definitely coming back and bringing people with me! Highly recommend!

The studio has a variety of classes ranging from one time wheel and beginner classes all the way to advance. Karen is very knowledgeable and is always there to answer any question you might have. Definitely call Karen if you are interested in looking around and feel the layout of the classes or want to do some one time wheel with your love ones!

I took my very first pottery class yesterday evening and it was the best experience. Sally, my instructor, was phenomenal! She took the time to work with me 1:1 and was so encouraging + patient. I was nervous walking in but everyone in the class was SO welcoming. 10/10 recommend!!!

I started taking throwing classes in January. I have learned SO MUCH! Karen is an amazing instructor with a truly impressive amount of knowledge and skill. She is always super interested in anything you want to try and learn and goes above and beyond to help you. We are currently working on making our own silk screen glaze decals! We already made some using pre-made screens, and now we are gathering the materials to make custom ones. The One-Time Wheel class is a blast too! LeRoy does an amazing job walking you through the basics and at the end of the night you have your own adorable bowl. My kiddo is too young for the summer kid s class, but just the fact that it is offered really impresses me. Definitely a gem of a studio. If you have any interest in slinging mud, this is a great place to start!

Last Thanksgiving I had family in from out of town and we were looking for something fun to do as a group. We found Potters Place and arranged for a group One Time Wheel class. Jessica (wonderful manager) had clay already centered on our wheels where we arrived! She took us through the throwing process (and rescued a few) until we all had a good size, respectable bowl to glaze or decorate with under-glaze. We came back after theyd been fired, and now each of us have a functional souvenir from our time together. Classes and studio times are also available for those who want to continue to develop their pottery interests. The atmosphere is warm and supportive! There arent many places in the Houston area that provide what Potters Place does!
