1991 Getty Road in La Marque. I45 South, Exit 10. Mac McGaffey Highland Bayou Park is a 230-acre nature park in La Marque, Texas. It is home of La Marque's annual family-friendly music festival, Bayou Fest. The park features baseball fields, playgrounds, canoeing, hiking, nature trail, bird sanctuary with bird watching, observation deck, tennis court, basketball court, horseshoe pit, shade shelters and bar-b-que facilities. Highland Bayou Park features a large parking area and public rental of the pavilion. The park is open from dawn to dusk, unless the city is hosting a special event.

We saw some amazing sunsets at this park and nice for photographing birds. Dog-friendliness: Brought our dogs here so they could do a little running around.

Always a great place to visit and spend good quality time with family, friends, or jst by yourself. There are basketball courts, tennis courts, a great playground. But most of all my favorite is the fishing. Spend a day out here and relax.

Really cool. Facility. Honestly 5 stars, but the fact that it took me 30 minutes to actually get into the event and my wife 2 hours to travel 1 mile because of how the park is set up; is a bit unacceptable.

Went to the bayou bash if you like overpriced carnival food go, but dont worry there was a barbecue cook-off and if you were family friends or VIP you could go over and get a plate of delicious barbecue and potato salad and a beer. But if you are a regular person you get overpriced carnival food,$5 beers, and you dont get no brisket. There must have been 30 barbecue grills cooking and that food was not for the general public, you could smell it but you couldnt have it, you can watch them walk by with their plates but you dont get none, not even for sale only for special people. Im not a friend of barbecue cook-offs that only feed their family friends and vips.

Pros: Such a nice spot for fishing. I almost dont want to give this place 5 stars because I want to keep this spot for myself. Didnt get hung up once. Caught some nice ones. Place is really clean and the pier is easy to get to and easily accessible for people with a disability. Cons: The only problem was that I was landing a school of specks and then a family started cast netting right next too me and spooking the fish. I wish people would learn about respecting personal space and to be considerate of others. I mean after casting in the same spot for 20+ minutes and catching nothing, youd think to get the hint after the 2nd or 3rd cast.

We had food fishing and such a lovely time even though it rained off and on all day. Bathrooms should of been cleaner though. I cleaned once or twice to use it even though many people dont care at least my group I was with do. Excellent day and had a lot of fun . the ones fishing caught nothing so the fish are lucky and can live in their environment for another day. First time in this area in many years I use to go to another part of the park and the nature out there is so peaceful and serene.

Great fishing spot with the kids. We catch flounder and lots of bait. The playground is nice and plenty of equipment for all ages. The park is usually nice and tidy but the bathrooms are always dark and dirty. I wish they d keep them tidier. We still love this park!
