My girlfriend and I come here all the time for date night. Such a fantastic spot and exceptional service. The atmosphere is very homey and it makes you feel like you have found a hidden gem in Austin. The drink selection is of great quality and many fun cocktails. One of the reasons we always come back is the service from Jaxon!

Nice space, interesting menu, food was all topnotch but every item had something not right about it. The salad was awesome but the pears werent ripe. The risotto was amazing and the salmon maybe the best Ive had but the shrimp were off. Server was nice and making a real effort but was clearly inexperienced and had to be coaxed. Parking: The parking lot in front of the restaurant is all labelled 26 Doors Parking only. If you leave the property your vehicle will be towed at your expense. But there really isnt anywhere else to park except the street.

Who would know what its like unless you get there early or live nearby as they dont take reservations, nor do they know when tables might leave. I figured if they didnt take reservations, then there was a fair chance of getting a table. Wrong. Not helpful. Irritating. It smelled great, though.

Came here looking for a bite to eat after a haircut and hands down best fresh pasta I ve eaten!! The sauce of my truffle Alfredo was so creamy and rich yet not too rich that it couldn t be finished. The waiter gave me a good white wine recommendation as well a little sweet and dry to match the pasta. My Caesar was fresh and well prepared. The bread was to die for!! It was light and airy and wished I asked where or how that made it. Although the server was nice they didn t check on me often that I was left without a drink most of the time, but other than that this place is amazing!! I wonder why it was so slow this place needs more people in it!

The food is decent. They dont take reservations online and were not aware of how to take care of customers with food allergies.

Baretto Bistro didn t impress during our recent lunch outing. Despite its friendly and efficient service, the dining experience fell short. The meatball sandwich wasn t bad, but it wasn t impressive either - just kinda bland. The Niçoise salad was over-dressed, with tuna lacking the traditional sear, which wasn t a surprise because our waiter said it was preserved in oil, but mentioning here because Niçoise in my opinion is infinitely better seared. The artichoke dips soupy consistency was disappointing, although the flavor was fine. The vibe was pleasant, despite the strip mall-ish location - they ve done a good job creating a friendly bistro atmosphere. Although the cocktail and wine list seemed promising, we refrained from indulging midday. Overall, Baretto Bistro wasnt the right fit for us, but might be worth another try at happy hour.

My new favorite place for dinner! I had short ribs and husband had pork tenderloin with cherry sauce. Both excellent with great vegetable choices and salad. Nice patio lighting and heating. Will be back soon for sure.

We were at a red light, hungry, and just decided we wanted an early dinner. I had the mussels frites and wish they d given me a spoon because the sauce was outstanding. My partner had the chicken parm, his go-to. He said the chicken was nice and crispy. I tried his pasta and the sauce was tangy and delicious. Damage was about $70 as we had an appetizer too. I forget what they were called but they were little breads with brie, bacon, and a pickled fruit with basalmic vinegar. Also very good.

With a relative in Seton hospital, I walked across the street to discover this neighborhood gem. I got the night special linguini and seafood, which was outstanding with a glass of house cab. Cheesecake dessert (I was alone with no witnesses) was equally superb and freshly made. I went a couple of days later for lunch and had the hoagie with fries, which was really quite good! I ll be going back. Superb spot with attention to detail in service.

My family has been a patron of the Brick Oven beginning for us at the Red River and 12th Street location in 1984. We have followed the Adams` owners to all their restaurants. My wife and recently had dinner @ Baretto Bistro of the first time, and the tradition of cuisine at affordable prices continues.

Cant recommend this place at all. We decided to try the Bistro tonight since its been open for a few months. We were greeted with do you have a reservation question then the conversation was promptly taken over by another employee who mentioned they were very busy but here is a high top table on the patio. The table was on their lovely patio - it was nice. Once seated we looked over their menu and realized there were exactly 4 things suitable for vegetarians (2 salads, 2 apps, no mains). The wine menu was interesting with several wines marked vegan and a few organic. We thought it odd that wines were marked for vegan/veg but not their food menu. After being ignored for 10 mins - not even water was served, we punted and went down the street to Cucina on 35th where the waitstaff was great as was the food. After dinner, I realized this is the 2nd incarnation of the Baretto Bistro. And I didnt like the first one in Great Hills either - for the same reason.

Friday afternoon on our way to Central Market we popped into a farily new Italian restaurant and bar Baretto Bistro. It was late in the afternoon and we decided on cocktails. My Love ordered the Shoal Creek Side Car and Espresso Mocha Martini. Both were good but too sweet for our tastes. Well made drinks just not for us, next visit we are ordering wine. For food we decided on the Lunch Burger on the brioche bun and wagu beef. It was good but not great. The fries were good and dippin sauce was great. Also had the Mista salad with gorgonzola, pears, and toasted almonds. This was very good. So when you find your afternoon open, your most favorite person by your side...stop by Baretto, sit close, hold hands, lots of kisses, share some food, never let them go...Im not. Love

We happened upon this beautiful restaurant, and I cannot thank them enough for the fantastic meal and service they provided! This was the week before their grand opening, but even their limited menu was great! The mussels were some of the best weve ever had, and theyre short rib dish was divine. We arrived an hour before closing, and we never felt rushed. The wine and cocktail lists are excellent. We were shown to our table by the owner, and had an intimate dinner with very attentive service. 10/10 would go again. Cant wait to try even more!
