I do not think there is a better place to eat on the north side of Houston. They change the menu very often. The Chilean Sea Bass is unbelievable. The broiled oysters are almost as good as Dragos in New Orleans. It is expensive but well worth it. They used to have a blue cheese crumbled pork chop. Unfortunately they took it off the menu. It was 10 times better than Perrys and actually less expensive. Their wait staff is typically very good. Their host was a bit pushy on the wine last time. I recommend this place to anyone who likes good food. Edit: This place is now a hipster bar. I do not recommend this place anymore.

They are trying, but the food is not good - need to hire a professional chef. Service is attentive and they did take $ back for a plate I couldn t eat. I hope they get their operation together and do well in the future, the effort they re putting in is visible.

So. Freaking. Good. The best food we have had in a while. Everything was cooked to perfection. The place is also just super cute and has a relaxing vibe. We sat outside on the patio and enjoyed every second of it. Don t pass on the brussel sprouts .

Had an appetizer and drinks at restaurant and ordered a pizza to go with sausage, onions, olives, spinach and mushrooms. Was charged for all five ingredients but got home and pizza only had sausage and spinach. Wait staff seemed very inexperienced and apparently so is the kitchen. If you haven t been, don t bother.

I am vegan and they were very kind in taking the cheese off of various vegetarian menu items. The fries and Brussel sprouts were greasy, but crispy. The wine (we both had Relax Pinot Grigio) was cold and decent. The pizza was a little freezer burned, but ok, overall. The service was fantastic!!! The atmosphere was fun and friendly!!!

We stopped by on Wednesday evening and ended up staying for dinner. We had the best crawfish I ve had in years. Good sized, well seasoned and cooked to just the right texture. The dipping sauce they served was great too. They had some interesting beers on tap and our bartender, Brice, was friendly and helpful. We ll definitely be back!

Came in for brunch and was not disappointed! For appetizer, we got the truffle parm fries and they were crispy and soft and loaded with parmesan, and the roasted Brussel sprouts with parmesan. Both apps were delicious! I got the crispy duck with scrambled eggs and roasted potatoes for my main course, SO good! My girlfriend got the Hong Kong Ribs, they we re scary good. All in all good prices, good eats and a nice vibe. Will be back. Dietary restrictions: Clearly labeled GF options Parking: Free parking and premium parking if needed. Kid-friendliness: Have a tether ball court and patio.

Ive dined here once for a Christmas party where we reserved the entire restaurant for the evening. We had a buffet style meal consisting of tossed salad, pasta, breaded chicken breasts, stuffed mushrooms, and fresh baked bread loaves. Everything was delicious. We went to have brunch this afternoon at about 12:40. It took 10 minutes to be seated, and then we waited another 20 minutes before being asked for our drink & food order. There appeared to only be two servers. We ended up asking for our food order to-go because it was taking so long. Upon arriving home, we noticed that the food was not at all prepared how we asked.

Pleasantly surprised! In Houston on business and just looking for something simple and in Spring. A little off the path, but worth the stop. Jason made great suggestions. Chef did a great job with the shrimp - cooked perfectly. The Mango salsa paired excellently. I had some steamed spinach instead of the soba noodles - and it didn t disappoint either. Well done crew!

Elm and Magnolia at 206 Magnolia St, Spring, TX 77373, is one of my most favorite places to eat in old town Spring. The chef has a creative, innovative menu that makes most of seasonal ingredients. Every meal Ive ever had here was fantastic. I even had the impossible burger with fried avocado, fried egg and sweet potato fries. A.must stop for a great meal in old town Spring.

The space is lovely inside is very modern moody and it has large outside grassy area with a few large sectional couches and also picnic table...I only ordered a beer so I dont know how drinks were, I gave it 4 stars because I did order the mozzarella sticks and they were below par, they have fancy menu items and to be honest those were gross... that wouldnt stop me from visiting again.. they have ample parking and friendly staff. I was there from 5pm -7 , nit many people so Im not sure how it gets at night or weekends, over all good vibe.

I went here with a friend who is looking for an event venue. This place is awesome. The food is really great. She had miso glazed salmon on a bed of braised Spinach. I had a vegan Flatbread. Both were delicious. They have a full bar, live music on Friday evenings, a large covered patio, a gazebo, lawn seating and a varied menu. I would say the place can hold about 200 people. On a Friday night, the dinner crowd was between 30-40. Parking is ample. Our server was great. The food came out quickly. They have a really great setup, menu and pricing for events.

My friend and I came for brunch on Saturday. We had such a pleasant experience. The weather was a perfect spring day with a really nice fresh breeze! We ordered the island juice mimosas- suggested by Sabrina who we absolutely loved! For the food we ordered the Duck plate, Chicken & waffles, and a salad. Both were tasty!! We moved to a rosé which Sabrina ended bagging for us to take home. We also had a nice conversation with Zay. The entire staff here is awesome! I would recommend this place. Beautiful outdoor setting. It will be nice to catch the live music sometime!

What a unique place. It is in this old house that is common for Old Town Spring, but the food is upscale. Atmosphere is still casual, you get the best brussel sprouts in Texas in a paper container. Its a mix of upscale and casual that just works. The seasonal chef menu was Italian on our trip. There wasnt anything left on our plates! Excellent all around. Well be back for the next menu ASAP.

His wife Maria is the light of Elm and Magnolia. When you come in she makes you feel like her family. She has dedicated her life to making customers feel special and loved and to making the restaurant a beacon of brilliance, magnificence, and perfection. Had my wedding there 08/07/2021. Beautiful venue to have a smaller wedding 30-100 people. Food was excellently prepared by the chef and owner. We were given ample time to decorate in the manner we choose before the ceremony. The staff was super friendly and helpful throughout the evening. Highly recommend this venue for a smaller more intimate wedding and a very good price.

The restaurant came highly recommended - our first visit. We arrived about 6pm or so and didnt have/need reservations, but by the time we left it was filling up -- reservations might be wise, were told. We ate inside, but the outdoor dining looked very inviting on a cooler evening - and live music was on the porch. Definitely a place to loiter and enjoy for much longer than we were able. The food - oh, my - was fantastic. The meatballs and spaghetti sauce was absolutely superb - perfect flavors for both. Patti said her chicken alfredo was also excellent. Then we just had to share a piece of the best carrot cake ever. Dont know where we put it all! Heard there was a meatball sandwich ... so, it will be next. Everyone we encountered was very personable and a delight to share part of our evening with. We will be back!

Edit to previous review: husband was going to take me here for mothers day. We walked in and were turned away for not having a reservation when they had several tables open inside, several spots available at the bar and tables outside open. It was just he and I. There was nothing stating a reservation was required to eat there, my husband even looked again when we got home. Very disappointed, because I really liked this place, but that left a really bad taste in both of our mouths. I ordered the lemon mascarpone crepes for brunch today.... all I have to say is perfection!!! We will most definitely be back.

Went there for brunch. The best eggs I ve had since my honeymoon in Quebec 15 years ago! The owner (same owner as The Black Sheep Bistro) had just finished making the carrot cake. (2.5 star)I used to go when it was the black sheep bistro because they served one of my favorite dishes in all of Houston (crispy pork and noodles). I went to their new location tonight and was very disappointed with food, drinks and service. Our waiter was very friendly but they were just grossly understaffed causing great delays. I ordered an old fashioned and before looking in my drink I tasted it and it was horrible, possibly thd worst Ive ever had. Thank God there was a fly in it so I wasnt charged for it. Id strong suggest a bar tender who can make decent mixed drinks. The Brussel sprout app. Was the best part of the whole experience. My dinner was the pork chop and although wasnt terribly seasoned it wasnt cooked well at all. It tasted like it had sat in a crock pot for 3 hours before I ordered it, no sear, no grill, tasted almost boiled. Craft beers are although tasty they are small portioned and expensive for the size. Execution and quality is what sets apart black sheep and Magnolia. Its been lost since my last visit.

This place was just awesome, everything and everyone. Food was delicious. Moderately priced. Lots of choices. The staff was on top of all request. Was 6 of us first thing in the morning. Heading for Old Town Spring. They made our day start out wonderful. If you get a chance,,, go to Elm & Magnolia.

Beautiful and peaceful. We went for a baby shower. This was the perfect venue, especially during this covid pandemic. We were outside and able to social distance while still enjoying each others company. The food was amazing. Best waffles ever! Would recommend a weekend brunch here. Mimosas were refreshing.

The place has a nice ambience and a good service. The Gyro was not fresh, the margarita pizza was loaded with flour and the meat lovers pizza was super greasy. The roasted beet salad was OK very small for an entree. The server did all she could. First time at Old Town Springs and not the best experience with the food.

Eh, just eh. The place is really cute and definitely has potential but it seemed unorganized and unprofessional. I thought it was funny that they have a sign up front about face masks but none of the employees wear them with exception of one person (maybe the manager) but not even she would wear it correctly (supposed to cover your nose). I feel like that defeats the purpose. The food sounded so good, looked so good, but just left me feeling unsatisfied and regretting it all. The wine was old, the creme Brulee tasted burnt and the sugar was too thick. I feel like its on the unrememorable side and dont feel the need to return especially at their price point.

This is a lovely place for a meal. Our server was excellent and helpful. We were the only customers so we opted to eat in, but the outside dining area looks fabulous too. Staff was in masks. Our food was great, especially the desserts. I had the 7 layer chocolate cake and my partner had tiramisu. The gyro was a little cold but otherwise tasty, the fries were a little underdone. But the steak was cooked and seasoned perfectly. We will definitely be back - perhaps for the drag shows we heard would be each Wednesday. Looking forward to it!

Fun, very large grass area, lawn seating by stage. Some sofas, covered deck area and BYO-lawn chairs too. Great outside service by our freindly, bartender. Our band had a great show there. Freinds, family liked it alot. Hope they can open again soon.

The kinda place foodies dream of!! Locally owned by a chef and his wife who used to have his own cooking show in New York. Delicious food, well-prepared in a fun atmosphere! Loads of outdoor seating (for day visits, theres tether ball if you or your small ones are into that :) I wish I cld give it a 6th star!!!!

We used to frequently go to the blacksheep bistro for brunch or dinner. They recently changed locations and its a really nice relaxed environment with great service! The variety and quality of food is great for the price. I highly recommend this restaurant for anyone that hasnt been before!
