Do not come here ! For 300 bucks a night I would have expected a well manared gentlemen with an English accent . In reality - front desk would not even answear the phone ( if you are doomed - it s on you, they don t care if you have problems or not ) Second - you will have to share the dirty bathroom with some one else . Third - there is no gas in the grill ( come on ! For that much money you can t even maintain your facility ?! ) Motel 6 has more common sense and a customer service , it s a dirty , nasty place for a furtune per night . I am deeply surprised how you are still staying in business

We stayed in the Juniper treehouse and really enjoyed our time. It is very adventurous vibe and exactly what I was hoping for when we booked the place. The bathrooms are a small walk away, but nothing major and as others mentioned they are well maintained. The pool was cool too. They do a great job here. A few things people may want to know. It definitely is loud from the road noise at the juniper and willow. You ll notice it s not that far from Hwy 71. We were hearing cars and trucks all through the day and night. It s not like honking and sirens loud, but you do hear the road noise pretty clearly. Also, if you are there when other people are staying in the neighboring treehouse it can be a little frustrating if they keep their lights on late at night as this glows right into the window. I took a picture, this was around 11 at night. I m not sure how to combat this as they provide blinds and everyone is there to enjoy themselves, but I was hoping to feel a little more distanced from night lights being in nature. It was not a problem the first night when no one was in the neighboring treehouse. The staff is great though, anything we needed they were quick and helpful. All in all a great trip and fun times. If you are looking for something super secluded, this probably wouldn t be the best spot. I am unsure if the more expensive treehouses have the road noise and light issue.

My wife & I stayed in the LOFTHAVEN for 2 nights. The bathouse is super humid & hot. We wanted to enjoy the waterfall but we ended not getting in at all because it was not clean & there was green mold in between the limestone. The bathroom was tiny & also not the cleanest. The sink in the bathroom is very slow, just use the kitchen sink. Just a little warning there will be bugs & the shower ONLY has cold water too. we found a scorpin in the shower & wolf spider. Overall for the PRICE we paid we wish it was much cleaner & We were pretty disappointed about the waterfall but The actual loft was great it was clean & peaceful! Shout out to Mrcool (the A/C unit) it worked the whole time we were there it kept us cool while we slept. If we came again we would have choose a different treehouse.

We had a great stay in the juniper tree house. It was a little retreat for my husband and I for a few days and we enjoyed getting to experience Spicewood and the area around it. A few things to mention: 1. the Willow and Juniper treehouses and off the main road and you can head the traffic in your room at all hours. I didn t think I was sensitive to the noise of traffic, but it is amplified when you are surrounded by this beautiful nature scenery and then hear multiple vehicles driving by. 2. The bathrooms are very well kept. I was a little nervous about the idea of community bathrooms and then being outdoor bathrooms, but they out did themselves with design, and upkeep. There are many, many daddy long legs on the outside of the bathroom doors (a few sneak their way in) but you are in the middle of trees and nature so it is expected. 3. The staff is incredibly friendly. 4. If you have a chance to venture out, go to Round Mountain Distillery (about 20 minute drive) Mike the owner is great company and has great rum. Angels has a great outdoor space with live music, and sweet berry farm was a fun activity depending on the season. 5. Ask if you can tour the event center, it is BEAUTIFUL! They need to be marketing this space because it is amazing. 6. There is some housekeeping that needs to be kept up with a little better mainly in the front office which I thought was strange because that s where your guests come in to greet you. But it just needs a good dusting a sweep, nothing too serious. Overall our stay was good. I would recommend this for anyone wanting a unique little getaway, just don t forget your sound machine!

We stayed in Lofthaven for our honeymoon and was very nice being secluded and having our own private kitchenette and waterfall tub, but sadly the bedroom portion A/C wasnt sufficient enough to cool the room at all, we understand its summer but it was miserable for the 600 a night price tag, we also went up to the front office and it was left completely unlocked with nobody in sight, and the staff has yet to respond after we had sent a voicemail about us vacating the premise for the second night and wanting a refund. This place would be great in the winter months but I would definitely stay away during summer unless you like sweating your a** off.

we were there for our grandaughters wedding in Spicewood Texas. Please go to tripadvisor from this april to see my full review. Not a good experience. Had no water pressure. With 7 grandchildren and 5 adults with inability to take baths or effective showers. Called management with no resolution. No compensation for any of the $3,300 for a 2 nite stay. Also, no mention of no icemaker, or microwave oven!! Pool was drained an under construction. No warning obviously. Trully a horrible experience and want the public to know before you sign up to ask all the ?s.

Red flags! Once you book your stay here, it is NON REFUNDABLE Where is the ZERO STARS option?!? Seriously, do not stay here!!! My husband surprised me with a treehouse stay for my birthday. The word treehouse is very misleading. It is a tent that is sitting in a tree. A piece of canvas for a roof. Very thin boards for the walls. A bathhouse that is shared amongst all of the guests. The bed was comfortable but we were not able to sleep due to the noise pollution and bugs dropping down on us. We might as well have been sleeping on the side of the highway!! Our treehouse was located directly in front of the entrance on a very busy road. (See pictures) Over 100 acres and they chose to build the treehouses directly off the main street. To save our weekend from getting ruined by this place, we booked a hotel for Saturday night before we ever went to bed on Friday night! I cannot express enough how misleading their website is! The only useful information on their website is the list of activities to do offsite! Their lake is not a lake. It is a collection of water that I would never step foot in! Their pool was drained. No clue where to go to see these bison they mentioned. This place is a scam!

Very disappointed with this establishment. Most amenities were not available unless you like yard chess for 12 hrs in the sun, the online hook and bait web page lures you in for amenities that have been closed for years. The dirty sheets and twigs on our bed accented the cob webs in the main office shelving. The missing property manager made it impossible to request new sheets or move to a suitable canopy. The no refund policy should be a red flag that this establishment is in rapid decline. I will report this establishment to the BBB, I feel I have been vambooseled, and put away wet and moldy.

My sister came from abroad and we stayed this place. Its a place where you can get a two-bed for almost $700 per night. We were so excited before we left. But the reality was different. When my 7-year-old son tried to open the bathtub door, the large glass door fell and almost caused serious injury. I checked the whole house before leaving, but unfortunately I left a cardigan behind. I tried calling several times and left a voicemail. But they did not pick up the phone and give it back. Then the male manager answered the phone and said we had left something behind and would send it to me by mail. Even after a month it didnt come. I called and left a message again more than 5 times, but I was unable to contact them. Then today I got a call and he said, I searched last night and this morning, but it didnt show up. So, I asked him you told me you had it. can you look for it again today and callme back tomorrow? Then they said they had already looked for it and it wasnt there.so If you expect any care or any respect from them for your stay, choose somewhere else. This is a dangerous structure for both children and adults, so we can be in danger, but there are no phone service , and also dont expect them to ever answer the phone. And If you leave something important behind, just think of it as throwing it in the trash.Very disappointed place. Ever.

This is one of the more unique events centers you will ever find. A former zipline location it has a up to date and clean event section for rooms and events, Like marriages family gatherings and business corporate events. Really big. The biggest wow factor is the nest which is a is series of tree houses All with comfortable amenities but crows nests, safe but rickety sounding bridges, A lot of stairs but a ton of fun for adults and kids. The reason I gave lower marks to Service is that its all automated check in online. You never meet the staff outside of the grounds keeper whos trolling around in a golf cart, super guy and Im sure if there was a problem they could fix it but you never meet the staff. We will be coming back, And telling others. It is a bit remote so pack in all your food, Liquor beer anything that you could possibly one without having to make a trip. The facility does have washing machines plumbing electricity. And as I said is very clean and well maintained. Safety: Though Im sure legally it is possible for people with disabilities there are a ton of stairs in certain places.

It s a really cool spot, but if you re coming in the summer just don t bother. These tents aren t built with any type of ventilation in mind, so the temp inside our tent was about 10-15 degrees hotter than the outside. There is a tiny AC system but it does nothing. They couldn t even run an extension cable from the powered camp store 20 feet away so residents can run a fan. We really tried to make this work, including trying to use the hammocks, but we saw at nighttime it was covered in ants, so it was unusable. Definitely not worth $200, maybe $50-100. I could ve brought my own tent and I would ve had something much cooler and more comfortable set up within an hour.

We stayed at the Yoki. This was a very neat and a fun place to stay. Totally unique and an experience I would say everybody should try at least once. My wife wasn t fond of the swaying bridge to cross to get to the house, but more so to go back across it to get to the bathroom, especially in the middle of the night. It is lighted and to me doesn t seem dangerous but can certainly be inconvenient to some. But a better solution than the community shared bathroom the other treehouses offer. The bed was comfortable and cozy. Like the website says cell service is spotty, don t pack heavy, it really is meant to just relax and get away and enjoy nature. It is as advertised in that regard. The soaking tub was a really neat cool feature of the Yoki too. It is heated also. It just appeared to have some green algae around the bottom near the drain. I gave 4 stars bc when we arrived the sun was out and pretty warm in there. So we turned on the AC and it made awful squeaky, grinding, odd noises the entire time and never did really cool down. Luckily we came in winter so we knew once sun went down we didn t need the AC, and we opened the windows to cool down. I just don t know how if this were the summer how comfortable would it be. In the morning it was pretty cold so we turned the same unit on for heat and started making the same awful sounds and didn t put out any immediate heat so we turned it off and used the floor space heater which worked perfectly. And to be fair we never contacted the owners to complain or attempt to fix anything. Wasn t necessary, just a heads up for the owners and next occupants. The other reason for 4 stars was in the morning we wanted a warm cup of coffee to sit outside and enjoy the sunrise. But unfortunately all the coffee packets provided were all expired, 12/9/22. We don t do expired products in this family. And for the price of this place I would at least expect good fresh coffee. So I personally don t think it s worth $600+ a night but definitely a cool place and glad we tried it once.

The aesthetic is amazing. I absolutely loved the layout. There were three things that caused me to rate it a 3 instead of a five. The property is located on the corner of two major streets/highway. I stayed in willow & could hear the cars passing. I wanted to hear all of nature instead of the vehicles. car noises are not relaxing. The other thing was the bed. It was not very comfortable. Everything was very clean & i enjoyed the property & bathroom area as well as the hammock & patio. The last thing was while I was getting to leave at 10 am-1050 am. They had workers outside of the bathroom area. That was not very comfortable. They should have waited until checkout at 11am.

The treehouse has a very clean design. Comfortable kitchen area, well maintained and clean. Ac was working great, which was very important summertime. Yoki treehouse has a very open plan and plenty of tall windows located all around the cabin, so we could enjoy the magical view while being inside of the treehouse. Very beautiful place to relax. The lack of internet gave us a chance to feel the importance of having conversations as a family with no disturbances. Finally, Cypress Valley has a mesmerizing event center. I want to start by saying that we know if we hadn t had these issues, the stay would ve been magical and fun for us, but unfortunately, we encountered some stuff that almost made us pack up and leave on day 2. First, the AC doesn t work in the cabin and there is no AC in the bathroom, which makes coming back from a hot Pool day, or a hot lunch, very difficult. You come back sweaty, ready to take a shower or go number 2 and you have to shower in warm/hot water, while continuing to sweat right after the shower. There s also nothing worse than going number 2 while sweating. Inside the main cabin there were AC units which I can tell were working hard, but not up to par. One of them wasn t working and they filled the cabin with fans in an attempt to mediate how hot it gets, but nothing can remedy that. Between the hours of 4pm and 10pm the stay is physically unbearable. On day 2 we passed out from heat exhaustion and went to the springs down the road just to cool off. When we got back, it was still so hot that we were sweating inside the bedroom area and would rather be outside in the 100 degree weather. The bathroom floor was sticky and gross, and so was the tub water. Like I said, the shower water was hot, I assume from the hot weather. One of the pillows on the bed had suspicious stains on it. We did not use that pillow obviously. There was also a weird smell when we first walked in and some cigarette butts on the patio which we cleaned up because we didn t want to be accused of smoking the cigarettes if they happened to find them right after OUR stay versus whenever they were actually put there (my partner and I do not smoke cigarettes at all btw). Overall, I would ve expected better, especially for paying $600/night to stay there. Anyone who stays in Yoki during the hot summer automatically should get a I survived Yoki certificate/diploma, because hot damn, that was miserable!

We had to reschedule and Shelby, the manager, was incredibly accommodating. I have nothing but kind words and appreciation for her. She helped us turn a very special day even more special. Stayed here over the Halloween weekend. We stayed in Lofthaven which has its own private bathroom/shower. I would definitely recommend one with its own private bathroom/facilities. Else you have to walk quite a ways to the shared facilities. This is a great place to go to unwind. We wanted to get away from the hustle/stress of our everyday work lives. It is easy to find and get into with their directions and you have a contact free check-in. We received a text before arriving and then on the day of with codes/instructions. We found Lofthaven just as described in the website and loved how secluded it was. There was a private bathroom/shower/mini kitchen along with waterfall/hot tub in the first building and then a rope bridge connected you to your room. The bed room was great and built around a tree. The bed was comfy and seating outside to watch nature was so relaxing. We literally did nothing besides rest, nap, eat, and enjoy the quiet time. We woud highly recommend this resort for anyone looking for quiet down time. A few items needing touched on by property mgmt......sink in the bathroom has basically no water. A dribble comes out but not enough to even use. We had to use the small sink in the mini kitchen. There were animal droppings (mouse or other) on kitchen items when we arrived. Needs to be better cleaned and maybe traps put out?? The waterfall/hot tub once turned on emits a terrible odor.....dont know if it the water, rocks/water flowing over it, or the look of algae on the rocks. Definitely needs some kind of cleaning. We could not run the hot tub/waterfall as the smell was over coming.

We stayed in loftlaven for our honeymoon! It was private, and relaxing, and we enjoyed our stay. With that said, for the price of this place, it should have showed more signs of deep cleaning and needed some minor repairs. One of the windows was taped up (assuming someone broke it) some of the screens on the windows were busted up, and the moss/algae that will obviously naturally grow of the limestone of the waterfall needed to be powerwashed away in my opinion to help keep the water from turning green. The lights and fans above the waterfall are pretty heavily accumulated with cobwebs, dust, and debris, and could be better cleaned. The fans and lights are one of the first things you see when entering the property, and it does make one wonder what else is neglected. The door opening up to the ropebridge sticks pretty badly due to shifting (which is understandable, but fixable) the other more obvious things that should be clean, ARE CLEAN! (So thanks for that!) For that price though, more attention should be placed on the details, and with the zipline closed there wasnt too much to do, so guest will have plenty of time to look at all the details. Also, some of the bulbs across the rope bridge were burnt out, and it doesnt make pictures looks good. (Changing them might be hard, so I say this with understanding) overall the stay was a nice, peaceful, and beautiful get-a-way. The pictures online were taken when this place was first opened, and since then, ALOT of people have enjoyed this place, and you can tell its well loved. Keep that in mind when booking. When the ziplines open back up we will be back!

its nice for what it is but overpriced. you have to walk a long distance to the restrooms and showers. when we asked a question to the girl working in the building by the entrance she looked at us like we were bothering her. also there wasnt anything to do there maybe if they had fun activities for people staying there it would be better.

It was nice but I wouldnt choose to stay there again. Its all because of price verses stay. My stay, I knew the room didnt have a bath room but I wasnt expecting to have to walk so long of a distance to get to the bathroom. When you really need to go you realize just how far that two minute walk is. Its FAR AWAY. Past the pond and past the pool. They were very primitive and enjoyed by a gathering of Daddy Long Leg spiders. I grew up on a lake so I knew how much spiders are drawn to water. Been to many Daddy Long Leg gatherings. The spiders didnt bother me but I know of some with arachnophobia. They had a pool that was very murky. The pond seemed to have clearer water. You probably could snorkle in the pond and see some fish and turtles easily. That evening I did enjoyed a little time out on the decks watching the fish play in the creek below but quickly had to move inside because of the swarms of bugs. Again, bugs love water. The desk clerk did not know what friendly hospitality was. I asked about any walking trails where I could explore and quickly was told they didnt want people to disturb the nature, only stay on your balcony/deck or the picnic area by the pond and pool. She seem like I insulted her because I asked. She seemed to have an attitude that people destroy nature. I didnt take it well when who she worked for makes money from bringing people into nature. I think nature and people can be very positive for both. People should respect and take care of nature. They do have guided canopy tours and there was a group going above my house in the tree when I arrived that afternoon. The price was way too much to just stay in a tree where you had to walk forever in the dark to sit on an open toilet (meaning little creatures could easily come and go) hoping you wont get bit by something while you do. A toilet is always a good watering hole for creatures. That coming from a country girl that grew up camping and squatting behind a tree. If you do want to try staying here, bring a good lantern and a bucket to pee in.

I only gave 1 star because I had to. I have an upcoming reservation that was made before the World Wide Pandemic and paid in full. Now with the state of the economy and my own personal hardships I have requested over the last two months over email and phone calls for a refund. I kinda let it go at first hoping things would be back to normal long before my reservation date of May 1, 2020. They are not! and Cypress Valley Canopy Tours just happens to be opening back up that exact day and only offering half of the amenities due to the current situation. I expressed my concerns and explained I have no idea when or how I could even afford to re-plan this trip and requested a refund. I was told it could only be on hold because they still have to pay to operate. I think this is completely outrageous. This isnt as if I had my own personal issue that is conflicting with me being able to make it. The Government is offering loans to companies big and small to help....Im not! So now I am expected to either: A. Show up and put my health at risk, minus half of the experience, YET STILL PAY FULL PRICE. B. Place this on hold until only IF and WHEN I might can reschedule. If there isnt another outbreak of this and pending me still living in TX, plus the additional costs of traveling. AND lastly C. Lose my money .....Im not sure how far my $900 will get you Cypress Valley but thanks for making a time of hardship a little bit worse!!

A fantastic place to stay & have fun are their tree houses. The tree house good furniture, romantic look around and all that is necessary to keep you comfortable. Only problem is most of the free houses don t have an attached bathroom & will have to use a common one, which is a few steps far. Other than that it s a wonderful romantic escape into woods to spend time in calm nature. Guided zip lines are the best, staff were really helpful & gave us clear instruction to be safe while zip lining. I promise you will have fun

My fiancé and I stayed in the Lofthaven treehouse - absolutely stunning! Pictures do not do justice for this place, you have to go and experience it for yourself. From the hammock to the king size canopy bed to the waterfall in the bathhouse, you will be floored. Everyone on the property is kind and informative of the area, which made it easy for me to get comfortable in the treetops of the Forest. We also leaned how to zip line, which was something I had always wanted to do & thankfully I didn t have to travel very far to achieve this endeavor. This place is truly magical for those with adventurous hearts and spirits. Best birthday ever!

My daughter and I recently visited for the weekend and stayed in one of the smaller treehouses. While the treehouse was comfortable and really beautifully situated in the woods, what the website does not share is that you are a few yards away from a busy road. We heard almost non-stop traffic until the early a.m. hours, not exactly what you would expect from a pricey nature getaway. I would not have paid the price for this if I knew what it entailed, would have gone camping in a more remote spot and come in for the zip lining (which was awesome!)

If you re bringing children who are old enough to zip line, 5 stars. However, I was expecting the zip lines to be more extreme, so I was not super impressed. We got the romantic package, and stayed in their treehouse overnight. The bathroom is not attached to the bedroom, and you will have to walk across a bridge if you need to go in the middle of the night (not speaking from experience or anything! Lol). I think we would have had a better time had we not gone in the summer. There were bugs crawling and flying around everywhere in their bath house, and the A/C was not doing much for us in the bedroom. Go in October or November when it s cooler, and if you can, skip the romantic package altogether and pick a better place to eat (the restaurant they include in the package is nothing to write home about).

Great experience! Great service! Great facts! Great jokes! The crew was safety focused. It is a great place for beginners to go ziplining. The 2 hours include the prep class, the gear up, the four ziplines, and the crossing of skybridges. Good times. Ample time is given to enjoy the sights and to take pics. Its a positive vibe all around. They also have a watering hole and hammocks to hang out while you wait or after you finish the experience. Further, on site there are tree houses for overnight stays. Too expensive for me. However, itd be an unique experience. I only saw them from outside, but they seemed pretty small, too. Please Like this review, if it was helpful.

I was mildly disappointed in the lack of user friendliness of the waterfall and bathtub of Lofthaven, but once we figured it all out it was a dream come true. The revine that the treehouse tops is beautiful and the build quality is great. The bed, 360 deg porch, hammock, etc.... All just great little things that add up to perfection. Spa had a connecting bridge to the treehouse, which had an indoor hammock, chairs and a bed with a mosquito net. The treehouse itself had indoor fans and a portable AC unit that was only to be used at night but the breeze kept us cool. Im not the biggest fan of bugs (which should be expected at a treehouse), but at night a lot of different bugs emerged in the spa area. If that doesnt bother you, then you will have a magical time like we did!

I wouldnt waste your money on this adventure. If you are looking for a tree house/zip line adventure, find it else where. The only adventure this place offers is if you are going to live or die. Who ever is regulating the safety standards of this place is being paid off to say it is safe. Of course if there is even a person. There could be no one regulating it which would make a lot of sense why it all seems you are going to die. To recap, do not waste the almost $300 to stay in thier dealth trap.
