El Milagro of Texas

About the Company

rating: 3.4

Quality is a word that is not used lightly at El Milagro. From the beginning, we have always made the best tortillas we know how. Our corn tortillas start with whole kernel corn that is carefully selected and ground in our plant - We never use pre-processed corn. El Milagro knows that the rich variety of Mexican cuisine demands a variety of tortillas; That’s why we produce a full line of quality tortilla products for every application. El Milagro’s success is due to the fact that quality has been the most important ingredient in all of our products.

The Best tortillas I have found outside Mexico! Made in San Marcos Texas. El Milagro founded in 1950 by Raul Lopez Sr. I bought a pack of 72 for $6.50 at the Supermercado on White Bear Ave just north of Hwy 94 a couple of blocks, in St Paul Minnesota Non GMO corn, no preservatives! this site wont allow me to upload my photos- google. a bit of a pain.

As a nearby resident, I feel compelled to share my ongoing displeasure with the El Milagro factory. Living in close proximity to their operations has turned into a nightmare due to the relentless and foul odor that permeates our neighborhood. The stench is not just a minor nuisance; it s a pervasive smell that invades homes, affecting daily life and even our health. The management at El Milagro appears to have done little to address the numerous complaints lodged by the community. This lack of action suggests a disheartening disregard for both the environment and local residents well-being. Despite promises to investigate and mitigate the issues, there has been no noticeable improvement in air quality. The smell is particularly overwhelming on warm days, making it nearly impossible to enjoy time outdoors. This situation is not only a direct inconvenience but also raises serious concerns about what exactly is being emitted into the air. Without transparency from El Milagro about their processes and what steps they are taking to reduce these odors, residents are left worried about potential health implications. In conclusion, its disheartening to see a company that should be a responsible community member ignore such a critical issue. I urge El Milagro to take immediate and effective action to rectify this problem and to prioritize environmental management and community health above all. Until then, I would caution potential employees, visitors, and partners to consider the impact of their operations on the local area and those who call it home.

What are they putting in their product to make the area smell like sewage?! I work at the Amazon FC on the other side of the highway and were plagued by the stench of this godforsaken manufacturer. My condolences to my fellow San Martians living nextdoor

Moved to the apartments next door in 2021. The horrible smell has been ongoing the entire time. Many days I cannot open my windows or sit on my porch, and sometimes the smell seeps into my apartment. I was informed it was because they are being lazy with their waste and not disposing of it often enough. Absolutely disgusting and I will never buy their products

I don t know anything about this companies products, or their interior cleanliness. But it seriously smells bad, and I know other reviews have mentioned it, but the more the merrier. They ve been in local news and had to pay fines for their disgusting smell back in 2021, and yet it still is unfixed and unbearable. Everyone that I know around here talks about it, and we can t figure out how the city is letting it continue. It s just crazy.

I recently purchased the El Milagro Corn/Maíz Tortillas, I read the ingredients and liked that they are No GMO and only 3 ingredients with no chemical additives. I would have given it 5 stars if tortillas where not package on a paper bag that can t be sealed. Plus I ve always notice that all yellow tortillas have an after taste and smell not found on white corn tortillas. Don t know why today s yellow tortillas are mot as I remember them years ago. Thank you in advance for reading my review, hope it helps in some way.

I have been in Texas for 36 years and have been searching for the perfect tortilla chips. In restaurants, home made, at the grocery store. Your chips, BY FAR, are the best on the market. Best flavor of all chips tried. And love the thin ones...thin and crispy. I will never buy another brand again, you are stuck with me now. Thanks for putting you loving care (and wonderful recipe and manufacturing process) out for me to buy. I will recommend these chips to all who will listen. Thanks again.
