If youre in need of legal representation, please take my review into consideration. Ive been sucked into the family court system for almost 10 years in a high conflict custody case. This is why McNutt Law should be your first choice as they are in my opinion the best law firm in Hays county. I had the pleasure of having Mr. Jordan as an Amicus on my case, after having representation and being pro-se at times it seemed that other attorneys would be more interested in winning the case and not thinking of a long term resolution for a healthy co-parenting outcome. During one of our hearings I requested an Amicus but a Hays county Judge would not appoint one. Mr. Jordan willingly stood up and agreed to represent my children. Over several months he met with my children at my home, their schools, and at my exs home. He reached out to my childrens teachers principles and some relatives. I believe he did this so he could better represent them and I believe in the end he had a reasonable resolution and outlined a workable agreement for both parties. He was very open in communicating when the meetings would take place and was very accommodating to both my ex and myself in scheduling the meetings. His dedication to this case was unmatched to any attorney Ive worked with previously. Mr. Jordan didnt take anyones side he was truly thinking of what would be in the best interest for my children. He listened to what my children had to say and took that into consideration when making his final decision. The McNutt Law firm was accommodating during this difficult time. I never felt as if I was being pushed to the side or left out of the loop as they had open communicationfrom the beginning. I received emais, text messages, and phone calls in a timly manner. This team is very efficient and I wish I had chose them to represent me. Again, McNutt law did not represent me they represented my children but I still felt as though they gave me the same fair attention as if I was a client. My son had a GNARLY modification case spanned between 3 counties, and the other party stacked another case (request to terminate) on us to make matters more complicated and costly. Because of C19, lost paperwork (county), and getting both cases tied and moved to ONE county, our matter dragged out for 3 years. Jacqui McNutt and Juliana Johnson were nothing short of amazing. There was so much more evidence we could have given them for the trial and they didn t need it. They were poetry in motion in the courtroom .each passing the baton and representing us with class and sophistication. They backed their arguments with case law, and didn t leave any stones unturned. If you re a man needing enforcement of a visitation and custody order, or have been alienated from your child, this is the team you want fighting for you. They aren t the cheapest, but we got what we paid for. They actually CARE and are in it to win it. They set reasonable expectations, so there were no surprises. Very unprofessional. After you give them the initial $5k they don t use it toward your case and if you ask questions they will withdraw and you won t get your money back. Juliana Johnson is extremely rude and does not care about the outcome of your case. If your opposing party is another lawyer in town she will tell them things about you behind your back because none of them like her so she s trying to win them over. It s all a game to them. They will use you when you re down by promising results and take your money in the end.

Called them, gave some information, found out how much they charge so I decided to go another direction. I never had a consult or anything with them and they called the opposing party and caused so many issues for me. I started getting mean, threatening texts and calls and had to leave work and lose out on money due to an anxiety attack. They had no right to cause me any trouble. Was it because I didn t go through with my consult?

Unfortunately I put my trust in McNutt Law Firm and was directly represented by Juliana Johnson. I was looking for modifications because I was being harassed by my sons Dad, he barely showed up, and I wasnt receiving child support. The law firm took advantage of my lack of law knowledge immediately submitting all sorts of forms that had nothing to do with our modification case. She couldnt get my sons Dad to show up for mediation and I spent almost $20K in what I was assured would end in my successful modifications. After over a year, she convinced me to settle with his lawyer and my modifications were scarce though I did get child support (the Dad agreed to it). Two months after our final court hearing I started asking questions. Why hasnt it been submitted? Why am I being charged? She did not like this so she withdrew from the case before everything was finalized. Go ahead and work with these people if you want to be made a mockery of by your opposing council and throw $20,000 down the drain. Nothing has changed a year and a half later and she was extremely rude in the end.

We are so grateful to have had the McNutt law firm represent us, especially having Ms. Alvarez as our attorney right next to us all the way. We were in family court and Ms.Alvarez had so much knowledge about the law. As we were about to get our grandkids taken away because of a CPS mistake and having time lapse on our case, what I call (statue of limitation) not the correct term but that s what I call it. Ms. Alvarez and her team went straight to work the minute we contacted them as we were called at noon and where told this information and that we would have to hire an attorney and have the paperwork work in by 5 pm, that same day. We were so scared of them either going to foster or back to un unstable and un healthy environment. The firm moved quick, this was July of 2023 and now we are May of 2024 and as of yesterday we have completed or case and are as happy as we can be. Thanks to Ms. Alvarez and the McNutt law firm. McNutt Law handled my case as I moved into the area. This was difficult for me to move jurisdictions and selecting a new attorney. It is not always easy to do so, and I had several consultations before hiring McNutt Law. They handled this case with professionalism, care, and very strategic for the best interest of all parties. They understand the law and local policies/procedures very well. Work well with opposing counsel, mediators, and courts. The one aspect that s difficult for attorney/client relationship is communication, goals, billing, and realistic expectations as they balance other clients. You aren t they only client for any attorney. They worked through each of these relationships needs. I wanted more time, communication, and coordination from the firm, which comes with a price. I m happy with the results I achieved with Juliana and her McNutt Law team.

Worse attorney ever paid them about 10,000 for my kids cps cases and then they started yelling at me that I ignored there phone calls when I never got any calls from them maybe like 1/3 calls out of the entire time my case was going on I quickly called them back if I missed a phone call .The only one that would message me was the lady who collected the payments .. she s probably the only one I knew in that law firm . Never met the lawyers in person and never called to hear my side of the story it s like they were on cps side ..so she let me go after she collected most of the money and didn t help me for ANYTHING on my case and the remaining balance she said it was gonna go on my credit What the heck really Lol like literally didn t do anything so if u really want a civil attorney I do not recommend the NUTT LAW FIRM to ANYONE !! Julianna just wants the money she don t care about anyone s kids .

Basically, you get what you pay for. B. You are NOT their only client. All law firms reply back to their clients in a manner based on the urgency of the nature of your request. If you are not sure what is the fastest way to receive a reply, ask what is the best way to communicate with them (client portal messaging, email, phone, text, etc). From personal experience this firm is not good at all & definitely not worth what they re charging. There is absolutely no communication, and if you do get to talk with them they ll charge for communication as if you re not already paying them. They will nickel and dime you for every deed they do on your behalf. No, I m not seeking free counsel, but if I m paying a pretty penny & up to date on payments the client shouldn t be charged to speak or question their counselor. Due to their lack of communication I called with an issue to be discussed & seek answers & they threatened me to withdraw cause I had questions when everything could of been solved with a simple conversation. I highly recommend for you and your family to seek counsel else where. You ll be very disappointed with this firm, trust me! Ps. The one star I left is by default. They don t deserve that much!

My custody modification wasn t a long one thankfully and the respondent did not show up to final trial, so I got what I wanted. However I have no doubt Juliana would have won me my case. I do not recommend this firm. Not sure if they do not have time for you or what the situation is. However, you may as well do your court case yourself. They do not return phone calls as promised and the communication is terrible. I tried to resolve the communication on several occasions without success. They expect you to recall the specifics of your case and they are extremely delayed in everything they do. Look elsewhere for counsel and representation.

I called the office and they told me she would be out due to the New Year (Jan 2020).. and I insisted that I didnt have much time & had to respond asap for a CS/CC case. The team pulled some strings and made it happen. Within the next day Jaqui called me personally & did an over the phone consultation. The team represented me for a Child Support/Custody case. A battle where rights as a father were trying to be taken & false information was being said. After mediation we walked away with the most important win and that was 50/50 custody for my daughter. Not to mention we had other small wins along the way. She matched everything she said she would do for me during consultation during mediation and then some. McNutt Law Firm is top notch. Jacqui knows what shes doing & truly wants the best for her clients. To whom it may concern, Ms Mcnutt was such a great help in getting 50/50 custody of my daughter. She was helpful in every way possible, kept in full contact whenever we had something that needed to get done and was so caring in such a delicate matter. I wouldn t trust anyone with such an important case more than her. She outlined in great detail the strategy and approach we would take and fully stuck to her word every bit of the way. More so, her staff was always there when Ms. McNutt was in court and couldn t reply right away.
