I was told 45 minuted for my food and when I arrived I had to wait in line 20 more minutes. I had to ask another worker to get help. When I hit home my food was cold and they gave me cornbread instead of biscuits. It was not a good experience

It took us over 20 to 30 minutes to get served. They seem to be out of pot roast shepherd pie and roast beef so we couldn t order what we wanted. We ended up ordering fish. The fish was not cooked all the way it just wasn t a very good visit no waitress ended up breaking glasses and some Dishes, glass fell on my legs. Here are the pictures to show. Parking: Parking was great. I m handicap parking was available. Kid-friendliness: The kids that were there seem to be enjoying their food We just wanted to finish what they had brought us which was the fish, but we only ate the vegetables and ready to get out of there. Sorry not happy with this visit. Everything we wanted to eat was no longer available.

I m very upset. I don t remember my waiters name, but he was very attentive on top. It was so full come on. It was on a Sunday. You guys know what a madhouse it is on the weekends and he was awesome. Cracker Barrel is one of the best Restaurants I ve seen in my 79 years. The food is cooked like I ate growing up, especially the Chicken & Dumplings. Jordan, our Server was fantastic. I was so impressed with the young man who came out to teach/help the person who brought our food. I could go on and on, but I think you see Cracker Barrel is my favorite. Thank you Vegetarian options: People who like Green Beans, Carrots and Salad, etc., would have no problem. Parking: I think the parking against the Porch should only be for Handicap Accessibility. Kid-friendliness: Mothers with Children are respected, and they have high chairs for Toddlers. I do have a suggestion though. If a mother is trying to quieten their little one who is crying/screaming, bring a Biscuit and offer it to the mother. We did that yesterday with a Cornbread Muffin, and it worked. The little girl was hungry. Thank you. Wheelchair accessibility: I ve seen people brought in Wheel Chairs, no problem.

Got there around 5 so not busy yet, seated right away. Food itself was really flavorful and good. My only problem was mashed potatoes and collard greens were just lukewarm. The biscuits were dry & tasted like soda taste, not what I m used to in pompano beach Florida. The tilapia was super hot right off the grill and delicious. Had a great time a few weeks ago. I came in with my family (my parents, aunt, and my 2 young sons) to celebrate my fathers 65th birthday. Our server (Jara) was a new hire and did AMAZING!! She ensured our drinks never went empty (and my kids drink A LOT), consistently checked on us, and provided all-around great service. She even complimented my children on their manners. As someone who also works in the service industry (8 years and counting), I greatly appreciate being taken care of when visiting a restaurant. The food was great. The kids had the cheesecake pancakes and cleaned their plates. My chicken was delicious, as well. My kids are already asking to go back. Therefore, we will be making the short drive from New Braunfels to enjoy another round of great food!!

The food was the same as it always was that part hasn t changed, but the service was horrible. I almost always leave a tip, but the service from the young man was so poor this time I did not we had to ask you three times for condiments to have our drinks refilled to even get our biscuits and cornbread, he delivered the condiment went back in the kitchen and we didn t see him again. I finally went up and said something to the host that we ve been waiting for 15 minutes for our ticket and she said I ll get it and bring it upfront but she didn t bring it. I didn t even look at it. The San Marcos Cracker Barrell had a family-friendly atmosphere. The service was very friendly and responsive. Drinks were refreshed regularly. We both ordered the 4-6 p.m. dinner specials at $15.99 - fried catfish, the other spicy grilled. These both were delicious, as were the vegetables - green beans & collard greens. However, the cornbread & biscuits were both like hard tack, and the apple cobbler did not resemble the menu picture - the crust was too thick, (close to burnt), and the apples were not pealed and they were too few.

To be fair, I visited on a Sunday during tax free weekend, so it was BUSY. We were initially told it would be a 45 min wait for 8 of us. That turned into 1.5 hrs of waiting. Then, we were brought to 2 seperate tables when we were told wed be getting 1 of the large round tables. We asked for a supervisor and eventually he allowed for the tables to be turned so that we could all sit together apparently corporate doesnt want the restaurants doing this? Either way, he hooked us up and our wait staff was super nice and attentive. As I said, it was a busy day on a busy weekend, but if youre not going to fulfill the seating time (or seating arrangement) in the time you estimated, let us know. We couldve gone elsewhere to eat. No one likes to be waiting to eat with seniors and little kids on a HOT day.

The menu has changed and it took us a minute to decide what we wanted. I ordered the chicken strips with grits and fried okra. My daughter ordered the chicken and dumplings with fried okra and a side salad. When our food was delivered by an expediter., it was missing both okras and we pointed it out to her, she said that she would tell our waitress. My chicken strips were way over done and extremely chewy. I only could eat three. Ten minutes later, our waitress, who had absolutely disappeared, brought out ONE order of okra. We were completely done with our food. We had her take it back, remove both of them from the order, and take off the up charge for the salad. She had not refilled our water glasses once. Honestly, I don t think we will be back to eat dinner again. Maybe breakfast, but it will be a long while until I forget my last experience. The gift shop side of things was completely charming as usual. I only added the second star over all because I really like the gift shop.

Sat for 20+ mins before anyone acknowledged us and took our drink order. Then another 10 mins to order food. We then had to ask for bread (three times before they finally brought it). Then napkins. People in table next to us finished eating as we sat down, but their dirty dishes sat there for about 30 mins after. You get the gist: cordial but extremely poor service with zero attention to detail. Place was not full, Monday at 3:30pm, there were a lot of floor staff around. We were hungry and there was nothing else close by, else we would have left.

One of my worst restaurant experiences I have had. The restaurant was dirty, as in I felt more comfortable in the restroom than the table area. Cobwebs were all in the lattice room dividers between the tables. We sat down and we waited 15 minutes before anyone ever came to our table after being seated. The waiter took our drink orders and we had already had plenty of time to decide on what we wanted to eat. Had to stop him from leaving to let him know we wanted to go ahead and order. Never brought out any bread. Brought out iced tea with no ice. We waited 20 more minutes and he came out and said he had misplaced our order and had to retake it. All the other waiters and waitress had an iPad or something similar to place orders directly to kitchen, but our waiter had a big chief tablet to write on????? What the heck. Not really but an order type book . Tables that had sat down way after us were getting there food and we were still waiting. Finally got our food 50 minutes into being seated. When we got our food it looked like stuff left over from lunch that was rewarmed for us. My wife and I never had anyone come over and talk to us about the extended wait or misshapen with the order. We got up and left after a few bites of trying to eat, but just couldnt. Worst Cracker Barrel ever. Hopefully a Covid-19 hiring issue, understanding restaurants are having a hard time hiring good help, bit I think for a Cracker Barrel we can do better guys and gals. Well, 3 years and we tried it again. I think I m done with you Cracker Barrel. Food taste like reheated food from yesterday, I couldn t even cut my chicken with the knife I had. It was like it was reheated in a skillet and it just crisped the bottom to where it wouldn t cut. Greens were old , never mind I m done

My family and I had the worst food at this Cracker Barrel ever. I was disappointed with the Cracker Barrel at the San Marcos location. The service was slow, the coffee was cold, they didn t have cornbread. We are a family of five and we all decided to ask for the Southern Fried Chicken dinners, the waiter returned to tell us they only had 4 Southern Fries Chicken dinners. When we received the fried chicken meal the chicken was over cooked, the chicken was dry and the skin almost burned. I ve been to multiple Cracker Barrel restaurants and they do an awesome job. In this place, the food was unpleasant. My wife ordered grandmothers sample. The pancakes were burned and changed them and now brought them half cooked. The eggs were very cooked and feels like a plastic. I order the chicken fried chicken plate. The chicken was old, I already had a cooked time. You can realize when the chicken is out of the fryer. It is juicy, hot and spongy. This chicken they gave me was not hot, it was cold and dark, it was not fresh.

Ive always like Cracker Barrel. Had been in quite a while. Had the chicken fried steak, wasnt as good as I remember their food being. The mashed potatoes were dry n hard. Looked like they say on the plate for awhile before I even got em. Had to add additional gravy than I normally use.

Let me first say that CB has always been a favorite stop to have lunch for me and my family. We have always been greeted warmly and treated respectfully. With that said, today was nor a good experience. Not once but twice was my husbands order wrong. Unfortunately, we didnt have time to request a third plate as this was a lunch break meal. My husband proceeded to eat was he was brought and it was not good. He was terribly disappointed. I really wish we would have had the time to complain as we shouldnt have had to pay something that was wrong and not good.

We got seated right away but it took the waitstaff about 10 mins to come take our order and by that time we were ready to order our whole meal and when she finally came over she didnt bring water or coffe we had to ask . Then they sat a screaming child beside us ( not there, falt ) waitstaff staff only checked on us 1 time and I had to flag them down to get our bill ....buttt at least all of our food was good an correct. Also this was my Daughters birthday breakfast.

I placed an order in store and paid it by 6:42 and did not receive it until 730. When I asked about they stated that in needed to be boxed. Then about 20 minutes later they stated that the wrong pancakes had been made. When I asked for the mgr cran, kern he stated that they had two new cooks and food was taking a bit so, I asked for a refund. I gave him the receipt and he said, it s not been paid; and I said excuse me it most certainly has. In that moment the good was ready and I said just give me my order .. I made a mistake, they should have kept it because the biscuits were like rocks and the food was not fresh and hot after waiting almost a hour.

I can always count on Cracker Barrel, with so many good things, but this visit was a step above. I really enjoy the new menu offerings and with them the food was exceptionally good this time around. Of course, I always think the food is great, but I just think they have stepped up the quality somehow to make it even better. Also, we always end up getting a thing or two from the store, as there are always so many good shopping options.

My boyfriend and I just had a wonderful breakfast together at the restaurant. We always enjoy eating breakfast when we do go. We have never had a dissatisfying experience with our food. We always leave with our tummys full. Now next time we go we have to go for lunch or dinner.

Our server Juliet was awesome! One of the best servers that we have experienced in quite a while! Parking: During the busy times it can be a small problem finding a parking spot near the front door. But we have always been able to find a parking spot.

Ordered on line and picked up to go. My ordered was ready, correct and delicious! The Daily lunch specials are great. It even gave me an option for a & $5 meal of an entree and side. Definitely will do this next time Vegetarian options: Some of the veggies do contain meat, . Parking: When it busy it gets crowded since its located the outlet mall. If you dont mind walking you can park behind the restaurant.

Great breakfast dishes with great coffees! Our waiter, Jon, checked on us often and refilled our drinks often - the plain coffee being refilled, not my mocha. Excellent food and service, and the store definitely had a homey touch.

Went there for breakfast/ lunch around 11am today. Food was awful, pancakes were gross, chicken and dumplings were watery. Biscuits were hard and burnt on the bottom. Most CB are consistent with the menu, but this one is not . Worse CB I ve ever been to.

I am not able to eat a lot at meals so I was trying to order ala carte a piece of ham, hash brown casserole and apples. I was charged 14.47 for a meal I didn t order! When I told the cashier they only took $3 off! so I was charged the same for 3 small items as my husband who got eggs benedict, besides the price my ham was like shoe leather if shoe leather had fat. Never have liked their biscuits and gravy. I will not be going back to cracker barrel any time soon I was a 30+ year customer. Im on a fixed income too so was really upset about the extra charge

Had a family of 8 for breakfast at 10am. Expected a wait for a table and didn t mind that we had to be at 2 tables. But it took 55 minutes to get our food. People who were seated AFTER us got their food, ate & left their table before we had anything except coffee & water. Food was good once it arrived but the wait time was totally unacceptable. Parking: Lots of parking.

Terrible service. 4 tables were sat and drinks served before we even saw our server. Food arrived cold even though it was almost instantaneous after ordering, ignoring the appetizers and soup that all came out the same time. It tasted like we got another tables order ro be honest. Not a great impression to leave on us considering we moved close by and was looking forward to having a cracker barrel near our house.
