Been here a hundred times, but deep dissatisfaction with the experience I had at your San Antonio, Texas facility on 9/14/24. As a loyal customer and someone who enjoys frequenting Topgolf, I am appalled at the level of service and the lack of professionalism exhibited during my recent visit. From the moment I arrived, I encountered several issues that significantly detracted from what should have been a fun and enjoyable time with me and my family. These include, but are not limited to: 1. RESERVATION: Received a text on my phone asking me to check in. 2 minutes later I received the same message as if I was not responding quick enough - I was attempting to park. This was approximately 15-20 minutes prior to my reservation time. I was excited to think we could get in early. The venue was packed, and many were leaving due to the reservations being filled (I assume). The front desk however, had only 1 person attending to check ins. 2. CHECK IN: Short staffed again. Top level of the facility had at least 4 or 5 bays empty (that I could see from the doorway). I checked in and was told to wait for the bay to pop up on my cell phone. This did not happen until my reservation time of 7:15 PM, which was my reservation time, BUT the text I mentioned above made it seem that I was being expected to be on site 15-20 minutes early and still waited. The bay I received was downstairs, which was fine, but I decided to wait in line for approximately 10 more minutes (due to the short staffed front desk) and asked to move to a bay upstairs that was empty. The young man went into a room, I assume to ask the manager, returned and said that the bay downstairs was all that was available. I am not sure how, when again, the bays I could see upstairs were empty. 3. BAY 130: This is the bay we were assigned. I did not make a big deal out of being downstairs and reported to the bay downstairs on the first level. Which I was told was taking a minute due to cleaning. When I arrived at the bay and began check in, the timer on the computer system was already ten minutes into my countdown time. The table was sticky and messy. Ranch was covering the bottom of the menu and got all over my hand. 4. SERVICE: The waitress was kind but unresponsive. She was taking care of 2 tables when we arrived and 3 by the time we left (2-hour reservation). She did not come around for us to order food until we had only 45 minutes left to play. We ran out of drinks often and waited for long periods between those refills. Again, the waitress was kind but for that money spent at your establishment, it is unsatisfactory. The food was fine. At close to the end of time we had left, the waitress interrupted our game to log out of the system (not extend time, from what I could see). I understand this, but it interrupted what we were doing in order to do so, and it seemed rude and as if she was rushing us out. 5. I would appreciate a response. I spent $217.00 (without the tip included) to spend 2 hours playing and eating/drinking at the San Antonio facility. That is a decent amount of money for a visit that I am not likely to do again in the future. All of these issues combined to create a thoroughly unpleasant experience that falls far below the standards I expect from Topgolf. What s more disappointing is the lack of urgency or care from your staff in addressing these problems when they were brought to their attention. I have always associated Topgolf with a high level of customer service and a fun atmosphere, but this recent experience has left me questioning whether I will continue to visit your locations. I strongly urge you to take immediate steps to address the problems at the San Antonio facility, as no customer should be subjected to the kind of poor service I experienced.

The food was very good-they must have a gourmet chef. They even brought the birthday girl a huge slice of cake with ice cream and enough utensils to share with everyone. Highly recommend. Hosted my husband s birthday event here. I can t begin to describe the satisfaction from all aspects of our experience. We received a warm welcome from our bay host Khy. From that moment, he served us with superb customer service, made sure none of my guests were empty handed, kept our bays clean of empty glasses, bottles and food trays. Very personable and hospitable. Highly recommend Top Golf and please request Khy as your bay host if possible. YOU WILL NOT BE DISAPPOINTED, I GUARANTEE THIS! We recently went here for a friends birthday. The golf was fun, but the food was absolutely horrible. I m not one to write reviews especially not negative ones, but I m pretty disappointed at how much we spent on food that tasted like it had been cooked long before we received it. Our Buffalo chicken dip was cold, fried chicken sandwich was cold and way overcooked and the flatbread tasted like it was on stale bread. Super disappointing considering how much we spent to eat & drink. Cant say I d come back.

First off, my family reserved a reservation spot for a specific time at the top golf facility. We had gotten there around 20 minutes early and when trying to check in, the staff at the counter told us that if we want to get in before our registration they wouldn t refund us the charge we did to make the reservation and would have to spend more for the bay. So we waited for 30 minutes for our bag to be open. Not to mention while playing in the bay we had to wave down the waiter everytime we wanted something to drink. Then upon leaving we were supposed to be refunded the amount for the reservation that we spent after we had to wait an extra 30 minutes. And the management team did not refund or anything after they told us they did they actually charged us for a normal charge. Piss poor experience.

Came here for a night out as we celebrated our sons s 21st birthday weekend in San Antonio. We always felt that topgolf s food was subpar for the price. However, we ve always liked the chips and queso, this time they had a slider that was absolutely amazing. It was a chicken and ham slider. They should put that on the menu full-time! I think the drink menu is lacking. However, the games are always fun at top golf. We always have a great time. The service was amazing And the manager was super sweet! Requested to be on the third floor and he made that happen, which was super special for us! Very clean establishment. Very friendly staff. Bathrooms were nice and clean. Overall, a great experience in San Antonio.

After reserving a bay in advance and making the hour drive, I was refused to play and forced to leave because there was no one in my party that was over 21 and it was after 9 pm. During reserving the bay all it asked was that I was at least 18 years old, which I am. It was not until after I made the long drive after work through the construction that I was notified of this rule and was told I would have to turn back around.

My family and I visited for our sons 11th birthday. The golfing was fun and we had a great time. Our server came to us twice, once to take mine, my husband the kids drink order. The second was when the inlaws showed up, and he took their drink order. We all got our drinks. Then we never saw him again. He didnt come to ask if we wanted anything or refills. We are always great tippers, and I want to feel bad for not tipping him, but he wasnt around.

If anybody reads my reviews, you will already realize that I hate traffic. This location is located in a very high and dense traffic area, please keep that in mind when going. However, this place is really cool and a lot of fun. This is a great family night out or getting together with friends. I have even seen local businesses doing employee nights nights at this location. The food is good. The drinks are cold the music, great, and it s an all-around great experience . For you golf enthusiasts, this is a great place to show your accuracy skills and for those of us who are not so good? This is an excellent place to have a bunch of laughs.

I was SO disappointed today. Ive been to Top Golf before, & it was ok. But today our waiter was SO RUDE (high, maybe?) and harassed us the entire time we were there. Then ANOTHER staff member came & literally told us that we didnt have to leave the building, but we had to leave our table. Even though they already told us that the next reservation was not for another 90 minutes. SO my question is, why were they harassing us to leave? Wont be back. I really don t want to have to leave a one star review cause I actually like top golf, but we waited around 20 mins at a high top table with absolutely no service last night. Multiple waiters and bartenders saw us sitting there and passed by us multiple times and never said a word. As an ex server this is just completely unacceptable. It wasn t even that busy, as I saw multiple waiters and waitresses standing around laughing and enjoying each other s company. I m disappointed. It was mine and my husband s anniversary and we decided to stop there to have a couple of drinks and in turn left with a sour taste in our mouth.

This place is awesome! Wanted to give a shout-out to Bri, our hostess. I came here with my brother, who has autism and is non verbal, and some other family members. We were overall unsure of how he would do here or if he would even be interested in golf but he loved it! Bri was so kind and outgoing with him, she had a lot of patience with him when he was deciding what to order and was able to explain the menu choices to him better then any other server we have seen. After making my reservation a few weeks ago we arrived at top golf and noticed we were in bay 208. Having an 8 year old with us, we requested to move to a different bay since he would only be able to hit one of the holes and would not enjoy his time. We were told by the front desk and then two different managers that we would have to wait 3.5 hours to move to a different bay as they had multiple reservations already even though there were several empty bays on the way to our assigned bay. The employees were both argumentative and dismissive of our concerns and at one point the manager (Alex Q.) advised that he could override the system to allow the move, but that he simply would not do it. We requested a refund and he advised he would process it but not today and it would be a few days before we would see it. Ruined our Father s Day surprise for my husband and created a terrible customer experience. Please work with your management team to be more flexible and proactive in creating a positive customer experience. We ve been fans of top gold for a long time and have never had an experience like this, so disappointed and on Father s Day of all days.

Horrible experience here. This place is so expensive but can t accommodate to guests requests. I called and asked if I could be moved up to a higher level if my reservation was on the lowest level, and she said they accommodate to guest requests. When I show up, they immediately say no. The waitress came to our table twice the whole two hours we were there. Also, this place never has anything in stock. A previous time I went, they didn t have a food they were advertising everywhere. My table wanted an alcoholic souvenir cup and they were out of it. Why is it so hard for top golf to keep up with supply? Overall, I will not be coming back after yet another horrible experience.

Just a PSA for anyone looking to go to this location. There is either a vehicle theft or burglary of vehicle at least once a week according to historical SAPD call data. Friends and I went out and we were talking about his vehicle got broken into at this location. As we headed out for the night there was several SAPD vehicles in the parking lot. Turns out there was a vehicle burglary while we were enjoying ourselves. They have a security guard but apparently criminals still come. Won t be going back until they can secure their property for guests.

Courtney (the manager) was the one hassling our party when the party right next to us had more people than we do and not one word was said to them. TopGolf is a lot of fun with many different ball-slapping games to play. The food is above average and they have a full bar and a good selection of draft beers, though Im not sure about craft beers. The service is usually slightly above meh but this time with Anthony was awesome! He took great care of us. The reason for the often meh service seems to be the size of the facility and the number of servers, not at much on the quality of the servers per se. One thing to note is that many of the games are licensed, which means they may come and go as contracts end. One of our favorites, the Jewel Breaker game, wasnt available while we were there but we still had a great time. Regarding kids: yes, it is kid-friendly though not really toddler friendly. It would be too easy for a little one to go tonight off the edge and into the netting (which would give me a heart attack!). Id say its best for less hyper children and children over 5. Regarding atmosphere: you get what you pay for. If you go on Fridays and Saturdays its more of a party atmosphere but there are always kids around. The earlier and cheaper times have fewer people and so its more about you and your group only.

Do not recommend! Bad experience overall. We got on the waitlist, and waited the hour and a half wait time we checked in consistently throughout our wait time to see what the status was, and we were told just to wait for our window time. At the end of our window time, we checked in again and asked for a realistic update, they told us that it could be another hour and a half even though the wait time said it was already our turn. This was extremely frustrating, because as I was walking to my car, I counted at least 20 open bays all throughout the whole facility. There were at least 8 to 10 bays open right in front of the restaurant area where we were waiting as well the whole time we were there. Do not come here and expect a reasonable or accurate wait time unless you pay the $30 in advance online for a reservation.

Update; We came here again on May 24th and had a very nice time. We were on the ground floor and that was nice. We saw the gaming section and didnt know it existed there. That was fun too. Im sure we will be back again. We came here for the first time today, August 2nd. They were pretty busy, but luckily we got a place to T-Off immediately. We all enjoyed our time there today and surprisingly the nachos were pretty good. The workers there were all very friendly and attentive. We will definitely come back here and hopefully get to spend more time here.

This was my first time at any Top Golf, and I had a blast! We were there for a function which had food and most drinks included in the package. The servers were fast, and updated us when the bar was running behind. They took the time to show us how to get started and to create an account. We were there from 7-9 pm. Even with the fans at 7 it was hot! By 9, the field is lit up and its much cooler. We plan to go back and visit with kids.

My family and I went to topgolf, again after 1 failed visit and second visit on them to compensate for the first visit. We tried visit number 3 thinking it would be better now. I was mistaken. My main complaint is the reservation system and how they use it to justify doing whatever they want with your reservation. In making the reservation this time I took the extra effort to call and follow up on my request to be seated in the second or third deck. I was assured this would be the case, and it was so I cant complain about that. My complaint is when you make a reservation 5 hours in advance like I did you dont expect to be stuck with a high top table and in the middle. Yet someone coming in as a walk-in will get preference. I guess I didnt go far enough to make that request, in hindsight maybe I should have. So heres the point, you go to management (like I was directed during the second visit) and you ask about being moved to a low table and/or how you go about making that request and you are told thats our third party reservation system, and we cant do anything about it. I can go and make a reservation at a movie theater, select a time, select a seat, pay the premium if there is one all in in advance of showing up. At topgolf, if you make a basic reservation you are at there mercy and only tell you where you are at once you check in. I will gladly pay the upcharge if there is one to get what and where I want, just dont play games and hide behind the third party reservation system! My experience with the guest services manager was less than stellar as well. My interaction with Artie made me feel like he would be happy to kick us out right there and then without the benefit of a refund. Granted, I was upset but not verbally abusive (like I wanted to be). If you go, just make sure to specify in the special accommodations section what you want. You may or may not get what you want thanks to third party reservation system.

Went here tonight to celebrate my Birthday. We had an absolute blast!!! Our server was great. Kynadi is the name on our receipt. She was kind and suggested food items that we might like. We had the pleasure of meeting the manager Jyron. Absolutely loved him and his personality! He was friendly and fun! We asked him to take a few photos for us. He made it fun and personable! Made reservations ahead of time and made deposit as well. When I arrived , I requested for a bay with couches rather than high table with chairs. The topgolf personnel told me that those bays are only for people who reserved ahead of time and that I will have to take the high table with chairs. Initially they kept telling me that my group was a walk in . When I corrected them that I actually made a reservation , they changed their story and kept saying that I should have requested for bay with couches when I reserved . AVOID THIS TOP GOLF LOCATION!! I have been to others and the level of service is beyond garbage! Drive up here only a third of their bays were actually used up on the top floor and was told I would have to wait 45 mins to get a bay because we asked for an upstairs spot. Food service was garbage, food arrived at the end of our golf session despite ordering it in the first 10 mins of our arrival to the Bay Area. Have always been a fan of Top Golf but today made me change gears on how they change the rules to their benefit and to brush me off. I had made a reservation online with the deposit. Morning of the event and due to unforeseen circumstances with our party I called to see if I could changed my reservation to an earlier time. Mind you when I checked app, the earlier time was available but I would have to repay an entire deposit. Upon calling the rep said to do a walk in at the time that worked for me and the deposit could be applied to my walk in. Sadly, they had no way to change the reservation time, even with it showing available. Not the case. We did the walk in and I was told that I could not apply my already paid deposit to my now walk in time. After the cashier went to a back room to gather a supervisor, she came out and asked if I had called the corporate phone number. If so, please understand separate franchises have their own set of rules so what they had told me was inaccurate for this franchise. I m sorry, what? Beyond her passive manner and any attempt to try to make it right, that rule is absurd. Additionally, the cashier originally told me it was a 30min wait, yet supervisor told me well even if you did a walk in now, you d be waiting until your reserved time anyways.. which would have been 2 hours. I lost $40 dollars today because a franchise and corporate office aren t on the same page and the ability to shift a reservation and deposit doesn t exist.

The younger girl at the reception counter was not cool, maybe tired or hungry, I dont know but she just told me wait for your text message in a cold manner, no empathy at all. Please talk to that staff, they are your first impression. My wife said the donuts (bread balls) were overcooked (see picture), but I like everything well done, so they were good for me. The michelada is a 5 out of 10, but ok, a least they have it. Everything else was great as always. They removed a fee that was wrong, the lady at the bays was very kind, she looked like a supervisor or something. My children enjoyed it, well keep visiting Top Golf for sure! Thanks ;)

Wow! Im a late comer here and I have to tell you...I had such a great time! Seated almost immediately and the table service, food and environment for us was awesome! When making a reservation online for my family, I was charged a portion of the fee ($30). We were running about 10 minutes behind and by the time we made it there, they had given away our reservation and said we could wait 1.5h for a bay to open up. Topgolf called from a private number, to which my phone like most others automatically rejects to voicemail. When asked for a refund, we were told no. But, when making the reservation online, it does not say they will give your reservation away and it certainly doesnt say you wont get your money back if THEY choose to give your bay away. They already have a card on file for the 2h reservation, so its pure greed to give the bay to someone else, while still charging the original person also. Would not return, and will share my experience with anyone considering Topgolf.

I ve been to many Top Golf locations (Austin, Houston, Katy) but this one in San Antonio has been the best experience of all of them. The service was impeccable and our server AJ was highly attentive. Jyron is the utmost professional checking in not only on us but I noticed he did so with every bay. We had the best time. I have been to this location twice most recently to celebrate a birthday. The staff is always nice and the food is great! The only reason I cannot give it 5 stars was due to my 2nd visit a member of our group is wheelchair bound. The door for wheelchair accessibility was locked. Staff did not unlock the door for them after learning of the situation. Unfortunately, we had to take a risk and carried them up the stairs. It was a even bigger risk because it was raining and the steps were wet that day. However, once we were in the building staff were more than helpful. We will come again hopefully that door will not be an issue.

We came here for a team outing. I dont particularly like golf but I do love angry birds. And they have a golf game for that. We were brought to our bay and a server, whose name I did not catch, asked if we would like any drinks. She also brought out left handed clubs when we requested them. We played for 2 hours and had a good quality time outing. We even got a little competing when scoring. There is a one time membership fee of $5 if anyone is new. Once members are signed in, you can play many different types of games. There is also a souvenir shop when you come through the front door. Along with a mini arcade and a bar. We didnt order food. Just drinks and they were delicious.

Lots of fun. Food is OK, but expensive. Eat before you go in todays economy. As for service, I wish the hostess/waiters wouldnt walk up to your lane/bay with 3 minutes left. They should come up 15 minutes before time is up so you have time to pay and still play. Atmosphere is fun, good for family and/or friend gatherings. Doesnt matter of you Golf, you can get a bunch of frustration out on those golf balls plus the benefit of exercise! If you are a Golfer, bring your own clubs! Kid-friendliness: Not sure of the minimum age, but there were some 4-6 yr olds having a bunch of fun just tossing balls out or using little putters! Wheelchair accessibility: They have a ramp and elevator. Im not too sure if they have wheelchair accessible lane/bay. Id call in advance.

There were more bays open than in use on the third floor and multiple bays not being used on the second floor but they would only allow us to use a bay at the bottom. Said they were too busy and had others also on the wait list and reserved. I was willing to give up my assigned bay from the wait list and wait for one on the second or third floor to become available but the staff would not put us back on the wait list and told us to use what they assigned or not play at all today. When you join the wait list online or reserve a bay online it doesn t let you choose a specific floor so not sure why they refused to be accommodating when I was willing to wait. This was my first experience here and probably my last. Thankful I didn t spend any money with them in the end.

My family reserved 2 bays for a party of 12 about 2 weeks ago. Half of our party were able to get set up and began playing right away. The other half had to contact someone to fix the bay b/c their balls for some reason was stuck. The manager and a mechanic came over and the problem was resolved. About 10 mins later the same problem occurred. However, after about 30 minutes and a few mechanics, they were not successful in fixing the issue. The manager, Hal, and waitress, Lennox , were very nice and did apologize for the inconveniences. We greatly appreciate their assistance and accommodations. We came here with our kids and other members of our family. We were able to get a bay pretty quickly, and our waitress was there pretty quickly. It was fun for everyone, and we all liked the food we ordered. 2 very minor cons. One, there is seating for only about 6 people, so beware if you have a larger family that more than one bay may be better. Two, the food came out at intervals and not at once. Having said that, it was still a very fun time for everyone. Kid-friendliness: Kid clubs were provided when they saw we had children. Wheelchair accessibility: The wheelchair/handicap entrance was on one side of the building. It took me a bit to find it.

I had my first experience at Top Golf, joining some of my team members and my manager. Given my limited golf experience, I asked my colleagues for tips on how to swing the club, as my prior experience had been limited to miniature golf. My initial attempts to hit the ball were quite comical, but as I observed my colleagues, I gradually improved my aim and managed to score 51 in the first game, securing the 3rd place among four players. In the second game, I improved my score to 65 while maintaining my 3rd place position. Despite some shoulder discomfort, I was able to stay competitive with more seasoned golfers. The atmosphere at Top Golf was enjoyable. I had a great time and regret not trying it sooner.

Jenna Aguilar was incredible at assisting me with creating this event. She was so patient and accommodating all throughout the process and I m sure we were NOT an easy party to create as we were larger and I was having to constantly go back and forth between my owners for approval on certain things that Jenna was assisting me with so my responses were mostly delayed. Jenna was SO PATIENT with us I was worried she was going to flat out tell us no with all the questions and constantly changing things but Jenna was so sweet and kind, altering and making us new proposals even up until the very last minute. She is a saint and I m so thankful that we got her! I did not attend the event just assisted in the planning, but I got tons of great feedback from all the attendees!
