The. Worst. Sat at the bar by myself, just wanted to grab something before an appointment in an hour. 10 mins on, Kim finally gives me a menu, so I go ahead and give my drink and food order. Long waiting story cut short, flash forward 30 mins and I finally flag someone down and ask about my order. 5 mins later aaand - yes, food order never got placed. Yknow what I love? Its when they royally screw the pooch and then - when they leave me no choice but to now leave - hungry and running late - treat me like Im the bad guy. Kim was my non-server. This is my 2nd time at this location. I like 54th St. well enough that after a 1st substandard experience i was willing to try this location again. Just no. This place is horrible. Shrimp House - right up the street. Bar b q place rt next to that. This place is bad. Edit: to be clear, theyll *eventually* serve you. Inlike the food. Theres TVs. But - they are sure to have the same poor attitude. Now. If youre willing to put up with all of that, this is your place.

Good food and family friendly. Our waitress was friendly. I was a little disappointed with the fact that they only had TVs in the bar area. It made it hard to watch the football games with everyone standing around while youre sitting.Our waitress said there was an extensive beer selection, but there was only about 10 beers. Overall, good spot though.

The quality of the steak was good, not great. Ordered medium rare, but it came c medium. Steak seasoning was fantastic but the steak lost good texture and turned kind of gritty as you chewed. Asparagus was good. Salad was good. Frozen margarita was awesome. Salted caramel brownie dessert was fantastic. Atmosphere was great, staff was polite and cordial.

Unfortunately one of my grandkids loves some of the dishes there, and my daughter in law orders and I pick up. Today was a special day because my grandson is sick and he wanted to eat a pasta with chicken and broccoli from this restaurant, which I particularly dont like it because i find their food very greasy. I drove 20 minutes to pick up the order up and I open the bag and checked on the label to make sure that it was the correct order., of pasta with Chicken and broccoli and it was, but I made the mistake of not opening the tray to see what was inside. Guess what? They did it again. I brought the tray to my grandson who was in bed and I open the tray and surprise! No Chicken!! So obviously he was not happy about it and he did not eat it. I called the place and spoke to Mckensy and Bryan the managers and told them that their quality control is terrible. They keep making these mistakes over and over again so often that it is incredible. I have to listen to my daughter in law about it very often. If you are sitting at the restaurant and they make that mistake is easy to fix, but when you drive 20 minutes each way, it would be 20 minutes X 4 if you have to go back. They offered a refund when I called if I go there with the credit card. I is not about the money or about the time and the gas. It is about just poor quality control. Poor management. Extremely annoying. I told them that they should pay for the delivery of the item, every time they make this mistake and I am sure they would not do it as often. One of the managers wanted a feedback. My feed back was that when they make this type of mistake, they should figure a way to deliver the right order at no cost. And it just happens that they make this mistake very commonly. Hopefully, they will improve the quality control.

A delightful meal was had by all! The staff were all friendly and attentive. The food flavoring was a little different than we expected, but we enjoyed it just the same. As an example, the chicken salad sandwich seemed to taste more like a dill sauce than a mayo or sweet, and the chicken tortilla soup was a little more like a vegetable soup (lot of zucchini) than the creamy soup I expected. Still well-prepared and delicious just the same.

Nice atmosphere, but hostess was super distracted I suppose and dumped the menus off and was gone before we even got to the booth. It wasnt busy at all. Not a big deal I guess. I have been coming to 54th Street for many years, and this time around both my wife and I noticed that the quality of the mean was significantly different, it tasted pretty bland, I had the blackened rib eye, my wife had the flat iron steak, we have ordered this countless times in the past, this time around it tasted like game meat, I ordered mine medium well and it was not charred at all, it tasted like low quality meat from Walmart, it is pretty evident 54th Street has changed providers of their meats, this was a major let down and in all honesty I am not willing to risk it by coming back and paying for low quality meat again : /

The reverse happy from 9pm-close. Is a great value. The happy hour menu is perfect for a late night dinner or snack. The drink menu is a great price and value on the happy hr. My wife had the house chard. $4.00 and I had the well drink whiskey sour $3.50. Plus 3 of food items. The best whiskey sour I have had at any type of bar or restaurant. We visited I-10 location. This will the 3rd time. We will continue to go there for the food, drinks, and atmosphere. I will always recommend 54th Street.

Been to the bar a few times for happy hour. Friendly bartenders, good service and a nice selection of beers on tap. Ive tried their burgers, a steak, and a few apps. Food quality has been good. My only complaint is that happy hour ends too early and theyve recently raised prices significantly! I would go more often if happy hour lasted until 7 instead of 6pm and/or prices were more reasonable. =)

I ordered Country Fried Top Serloin and side salad with mash potatoes and my husband ordered Country Fried Chicken with side salad and the rice and veggies and it must have been old grease or something because it tasted funny and was very salty we did not even finish it we took half our meal home and we got such a upset stomach not good and we have had this before and never got sick. Update: Sad to see both the Texas Outlaw Steak Soup and Meatballs removed from the menu. Thats a huge downgrade. The new menu prices are quite high and unfortunately I was very disappointed with the taste of the Caesar salad along with the potato soup with big chunks of potato. Whats going on??? I enjoy this location because it is just a few miles from home which makes it quite convenient. So far Ive been impressed with the service and delicious food. My friends I really enjoy the patio, especially with cool weather. The Happy Hour at 54th is probably one of the best in San Antonio. The appetizers and drinks are more than fairly discounted. 54th Street really prides itself in cleanliness which I truly appreciate.I highly recommend this location if youre in the area.

This restaurant always either messes up my order, or the burgers are cooked well-done, when medium was asked for. However, my girl loves their rattlesnake pasta & large tater tot appetizer, so Im willing to go middle of the road with a 3 star. The service is also very good & when my orders are messed up, they do what they can to make it right. Give it a shot & see how it works for you, but I at least know my girl will find what she likes here.

Service was severely subpar. Waitress didnt know if she was coming or going, although there were so many empty tables. Of 4 entrees only one was good. Appetizer: Brussels were burnt. Ordered a steak medium rare and it came out like boot leather. We arent restaurant complainers but sent back the steak. It did come back perfect. Thanks 54th Street for making a group of customers feel like jerks. Just do it right the first time. Mgr came to table re: steak complaint & was obviously not communicating with our server. Server said they needed that original steak back in the kitchen although we had waited so long for the food my friend just wanted to eat the broccolli on the plate...too bad...apparently forensics needed to be done on that shoe leather quality steak that they were fearing we would eat. We wont return.

Only leaving a 4 star because the menu I received was covered with something gross. The food was delivered quickly and delicious. My hubby ordered the chicken Alfredo pasta and he loved it. I had the Cajun boneless wings and they were a tiny bit bland for my taste but I love me some spice in my life. The fountain drinks were perfectly flavored and I was astonished at the crisp deliciousness. Most restaurants don t pay as close attention to the fountain drinks so I felt the need to show my appreciation for the freshness of the coca-cola.

Delicious food, great atmosphere. Not overly loud and darker lighting makes it cossy. I ordered chicken fried steak. Received chicken fried chicken. It was a happy and delicious mistake that I didnt even notice until half way through. Light and filling. Food

Order was to go. So we approached the hosted for guidance since was our first time ordering to go. The hosted couldve walked us to the bar and introduced us to the bar staff. Unfortunately the hosted didnt know the bar staff names. The hosted suggested that we go-to the bar but didnt mentioned which part of the bar would be best. So it was like the blind leading the blind. Poor service.

My wife and I went there because the photos of the food look really good. She got the burger and I got Gyro. The burger was good, but the gyro was lacking flavor. It was alright. For dessert, we had the salted Carmel brownie. That was really good. The service killed it for us. The waitress was inattentive and took forever when we did ask for something.

The food was very good. The server we had was very attentative and keeper glasses full and customers happy. The sports bar amount of TVs mixed with busy walls made for a unique experiance. Music was at a great level for a work lunch and food came out fast.

I ordered takeout here. As soon as I parked and planned to walk inside to get my order, a member of their staff immediately came to my car and offered to get my order for me. This was especially nice because it was chilly outside. My order was ready and there were generous portions of everything. The chicken fried steak was delicious and came with a large portion of white gravy on the side. The chicken strips came with a buttercream ranch dipping sauce that was the perfect combination of creamy and tangy. The Mac and cheese had a subtle smoky flavor and just the right amount of crunch. The carrot cake was decadent and came with a side of icing to drizzle on top. I couldn t have asked for a better experience here.

Got together for a friends birthday and the waitstaff was terrible l had to complain to the manager and it still didnt make much of a difference we had to get our own drinks and staff took forever to clean the tables, pick up the dishes after our dinner, and pick up all the empty glasses and bring more drinks. JS it was a disappointment

Food was great! Tried new dish... gyro pita. Oh yeah... wife got chicken tenders and could only eat 1, so we brought home another entire meal. Waitstaff was nice and cordial, but did the minimum. Of course it was middle afternoon. Still, a good job so tipped right.

54th street is my favorite restaurant! But mainly cause of their food. Told them it was my sister birthday and they didn t do anything, not even a song to celebrate so I was pretty bummed but I hope it was just the server or day. Not sure. But at least the rattlesnake pasta and margarita are there. I come every chance I get!

The food here is terrible. The burgers taste like plastic. When I was asking for a table I asked for a table for a party of 7 plus a baby. Immediately the hostess Mireya rolled her eyes at me as she conversed with the other young hostess on where to seat me. Clearly annoyed, I confronted her by saying is that okay with you? To which she got immediately defensive and said is it 7 or 8? 7 plus a baby is just 8 . So I replied yes, 7 plus a baby she became further annoyed and said so 8 then . This I could let go. Until my brother in law showed up with his baby and she looked at him dead in the face, rolled her eyes and said in an annoyed tone, ANOTHER BABY?? and walked off angrily. Clearly she does not like babies and anyone who does not like babies is not a good person fit for public interaction. I hope she gets help and I hope she finds a job at the DPS where nasty attitudes are welcome and celebrated. Luckily our waiter Stephen was patient and kind. Overall it seems this place is ok but she is just a bad apple fallen from a rotten tree. Mireya, I sincerely hope that tomorrow, your day goes better and you find better eyelashes that hide your obvious disdain for infant humans.
