I m going to start by saying I usually don t write reviews. We just had the absolute worst experience at this restaurant. None of the staff spoke English. We managed to get the food ordered but the checks were split incorrectly and when we got that sorted, the wrong card was charged for the wrong check. We were trying really hard to pay but it seemed the waitress was insinuating that we didn t want to pay. We ended up doing all the math ourselves and paid them what they didn t even charge. It was an absolute disaster. When we gave them the overage they missed, the waitress was trying to put the money in the tip jar. We had already tipped on the card. The money they didn t charge but we still paid was not an additional tip. It was to make the register balance out. We gave them the money and they still couldn t figure out what was going on. We are not thieves. We were not trying to get over although that was the way we were treated. We paid what we owed thanks to our own math from the receipts and we tipped. I pray the next time people who look like us patronize this restaurant they are treated with respect and not like thieves. It would also be very beneficial to have bilingual workers. The food wasn t good enough to try again. After that service, we will never be back.

Ordered a cheese enchilada plate no lettuce no tomato. Received a chicken enchilada plate with lettuce. Called to let them know I received the wrong order and went back in forth with the workers stating they entered it as chicken, then the worker came back on the line stating they only gave me one chicken and the other cheese. Literally resolved nothing. Waste of time for mediocre food. Workers refused to speak English to me on the phone and refused to let me speak to anyone else. When I arrived at the location there were 4 people just standing there staring at me and the employee only spoke in English to me.

I went in on a whim. I told my husband I was hungry and this was the first place we saw. Let me tell you, it was such a pleasant surprise. Everyone was super friendly customer service was a 10. We waited a bit for our food since we ordered to go. It was worth the wait the carnitas tacos were amazing even the corn tortillas held up til we got home and tasted so fresh. The salsa bar was outstanding. Will definitely be back. Todo estaba tan rico! PS the husband said the horchata was one of the best he had ever had. This is a must try if you are ever in the neighborhood.

One word: YIKES. We walked in and the restaurant (as well as the area by the restroom) had a funky smell. Still decided to give it a chance. Had an order of tripa tacos and carne asada tacos. The tripa tacos were okay, nothing to gloat about. The asada tacos were just plain bad. Luckily my kiddos aren t picky eaters but man was that meat not good. It literally tasted like the packaged taco meat you buy at HEB, as did the tortillas. We ll like not return. I can get better tacos at taco palenque

Taco Bell isn t really Mexican food so we use to go there when we were desperate. Growing up in Southern California beginning in the 50 s, and raising kids through the early 2000 s, we always had plenty of AUTHENTIC Mexican food to choose from. When we moved to San In 2005, we discovered Tex-Mex. It was ok but not what we were used to. When we moved to the Alamo Ranch area, we tried MANY restaurants nearby but still none that stood out. Then a could have years ago we discovered Los Balitos. FINALLY authentic MEXICAN FOOD! They even made CALIFORNIA BURRITOS! These are fantastic. However, my wife usually orders their Taquitos & Crispy Beef Tacos, with actual SHEDDED BEEF, and I prefer their Chiles Rellenos. DELICIOUS! We also get the combination plates as their rice and beans are PERFECT. They have a salsa bar and we always fill up a bag of cold salsa, our favorite, using the individual plastic containers. 12 will fill the sack. It s a small restaurant but WELL WORTH IT!

Servers didn t greet us as nice and happy as she did her other Latino guests (even though we are Latino). My mother spilled her drink (lid wasn t closed properly) server saw the whole thing and just rolled her eyes and proceeded to finish taking another order. Updated review. I initially gave this place 4 stars. However the last few times Ive been really subpar. The bean and cheese tacos used to be good but take a look at this one. Yeah literally no cheese and very little bean. On top of that the guy in the back wraps to Taco was part of the foil in the taco so when you open the taco you pull out half of your cheese. Terrible! Very bad experience, and for the service they offer it is very expensive. We ordered number 4 which comes with two crispy tacos, rice and beans and they did not have rice and they were not kind enough to ask me what I wanted instead of rice and they gave me a double portion of beans Then I ordered one more taco and it took them a long time to deliver it so I decided to leave and when I was ready to pay by force they wanted to give me the taco that I no longer wanted and they told me that they were going to charge me anyway and that if I didnt want it they would to throw it in the trash but they were going to put it on the bill anyway, so they charged me 10.99 for two tacos and a double portion of beans and made me take the taco that I no longer wanted.

The tacos are some of the larger tacos Ive had in San Antonio. The drinks are also pretty large too. You are getting what you are paying for. As you may see in the other pictures, the consistency/presentation of the guac is something different and may throw you off. If youre a big fan of guac, this may not be for you. Otherwise, their sauce bar is pretty nice. Though the labels are faded for those watching the spicy levels.

I stopped in here for my breakfast tacos this morning. It s a small taco shop and I m definitely going to recommend this place for your bean and cheese with bacon tacos. There is no drive up window find a parking spot. I didn t wait long, maybe 2-3 minutes at most for my order to get to me. I recommend their Arizona hot salsa. Food was okay, taco cabana quality. My Waitress admittedly gave my order to someone else, and then tried to ask me if I would just eat the wrong order. I asked if I could have what I ordered and was met with frustration. This place hits the spot! We all have that spot that we used to go as in our youth. Mine was a Mexican place called betos and we would go there late at night with a bunch of friends after a long night of parties or events. And it always hit the spot. The food, breakfast tacos, is amazing along with the fresh salsa bar. We dont live in the area but we hit this place when I visited my sister. Always amazing breakfast!

This place made me sick as a dog, and I m not the only one of my coworkers who have eaten here and gotten food poisoning. That s what happens when you leave your perishables out all day, open, in the heat. I got it coming out of both ends and I can t provide myself any intake without it coming back up. They need to do a surprise health inspection *hint hint*

I ve been coming here Off and On for years. I m officially changing that to ON only. This place is reasonably priced and utterly delicious. No frills. No fluff. Just great food and some Super Arizona Hot Sauce that is to die for. I usually get tacos like Carne Guisada or Cabeza, but I just had the California Burrito for the first time and I darn near fell out of my seat.

Absolutely abysmal. Ate lunch there today, customer service is poor, the food quality was terrible. We asked for queso ( on the menu) with our chips and they didn t have any, no salsa served either. Nothing was fresh, tortillas, the cheese, and the chips you could tell are all packaged and not freshly made. I ordered a steak quesadilla with the least amount of cheese on it like they were trying to save it, And the side of the guacamole ( green slime) we ordered was horrible, it was some kind of prepackaged paste that if it had avocado in it I would be surprised. Ignore the reviews on here that praise this place they can t possibly be real people.
